SPA9000 How do you direct SIP to FXS port?

How do you point a SIP account to the #1 FXS port on the SPA9000? I have a separate SIP account for my fax machine and need to point it to the analog FXS port.
Thanks

When you say “Line Tabs” do you mean where you configureLine 1-4? So if Line 1 is set for ITSP and Line 2 is the SPA400, I should useLine 3 for Fax? Then under ‘Line 3’ I should configure the User ID, Password, and Proxy like we did on the ITSP page except for the Fax SIP account?
Then change “Subscriber Information -> Contact list” to202. Then on the FXS 2 tab we should configure: User ID=202
Does this look correct?
What if we have two DID numbers associated with a single SIPaccount? Can we still direct one of the DID’s to the FXS 2 port?

  • How do you direct EXS24 to read from External drive?

my logic pro EXS24 is not reading from My external drive. How do i create a path??

    Hi Nastushka
Glad you liked the website, it's my intention to keep updating over time and I hope people continue to find it useful. I was very lucky when I started out that lots of very smart people helped me out, so it's nice to continue the tradition.
    In answer to your question.
To the best of my knowledge there's no way to have the actual .exs files on an external drive and have Logic still see them. My understanding is that Logic performs a number of "scans" on start up, during this process it checks a number of preset locations and then adds the files it finds to your available tools.
The good news is that the .exs files are relatively small, so they shouldn't eat in to your hard drive space too much. It's the audio ( wav or aiff ) that takes up all the space.
For example I have Pure E-Basses on my laptop ( from which I'm typing ) and the whole folder of .exs files is 6.5meg the related samples folder is 2.52gig.
Ok, moving into speculative mode, _I haven't tried this myself_, if you absolutely must have the .exs files on an external drive I can think of no logical reason this couldn't be achieved with the judicious use of an Alias. So you'd create an Alias of the .exs files and put these in the correct location for Logic to scan and point these Aliases to the original files on your external HD.
Unfortunately I'm not in a position to test this at the moment.
Maybe somebody could chip in if they've tried it ?
I'd also suggest that if you don't have enough room on you internal HD for the .exs files you may have bigger problems down the line. All HDs ( in my experience ) need a reasonable percentage of free space to work at their best.
I'll copy this into the other thread, it may be sensible to continue this discussion in one thread from now on.

  • How do you direct an application to a specific folder I made in application support?

    I use a Macbook Pro 10.5.8.

The application — and any copy of the application — will look in the support folder that was created for it at the time of its original installation. If Minecraft itself doesn't provide a way to redirect its attention to support files in a different folder, there won't be any way to do so outside of the application, and the two copies of the program will continue to use the same set of support files. That makes it pointless to have two copies of the app.
To accomplish what I suspect you're trying to accomplish, trash the second copy of Minecraft, create and log into a new user account on your computer, open Minecraft in that account, and a new Application Support folder will be created in the new user's Home/Library folder. To switch from one set of support files to the other, switch users.
This is a Minecraft question and not one about the Mac OS or Mac hardware. If the suggestion above doesn't accomplish your desired end, the question should be addressed to the developer of Minecraft.

  • How do you direct someone to a specific page depending on form input?

I have a web form and would like to send the user to a specific page depending on what radio button they check.
For example if they say they like vanilla ice cream (variable = "vanilla") in the form, send them to page "A" once they hit the submit button. If they like chocolate (variable = "chocolate") , send them to page "B" once they hit submit.
Thanks, I really appreciate your help.

  • How do you directly post a value to Local Currency 2?

We have a situation where we need to manually revalue a posting.
The Company Code currency is $
    The Group currency is £
We have a balance that we need to wipe out in £ for our company code.
If we use t code F-05 - when we select the document currency to be $ it does not allow us to enter a £ amount as the local currency is $ as well.
If we use £ is in F-05, we need to make a 1 side entry for £, and it says the document needs to balance in document currency.
Therefore we need a way of entering the Local Currency 2 field (Group Currency £) where the document current is $.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi Hugo,
    thanks for your comment.
I tried that, but the group currency field is greyed out, so I cant change it.
Is there some config I need to activate to allow me to enter a value?

  • How do you configure the set of port to use for FTP passive data connection

I was able to start the ftp server xml db and connect to it locally. When I tried to connect to it from home, I was able to log in but when i do a "get" command the sessions hangs. I also tried passive mode and do a "get" command and it gives me a connection refused error. I am using the default port 2100. I think this might be a firewall issue with the data connection port. I am not sure which range of ports to open for the passive ftp connection on the server side or where to go and set them for for the ftp server to use? Or this issue might not be firewall related??? Any thoughts. Thanks.

This is a typical problem with VPN/Firewall software and FTP on ports other than 21.
When you open the FTP data connection the FTP Server identifies which port the data will be sent on using the PORT command which is sent on the command port (typically 21 with a normal FTP server, 2100 by default with XDB). THe client then opens that PORT to accept the data (file, output of an ls etc).
As I understand it most VPN/Firewall are configured to monitor 21 for 'PORT' requests. They then understand to allow connection on the PORT number passed on the command PORT. Hence with Port 21 firewall / VPN software is not a problem. However since the XDB command PORT is something other than 21 they do not see / honour the PORT commands from the server and hence the client cannot open the data connection on the specified PORT
As to how to solve it, I wish I knew (After 5 years I still can't use XDB FTP from home to a machine in the office once the VPN tunnel is open :( ). I'm sure it's going to be firewall / VPN software specific and may need the VPN servers to be configured.
The best bet would be to run the FTP server on 21...
Add the following line to your listener.ora file
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP) (HOST = hostname) (PORT = 21))
    (PROTOCOL_STACK = (PRESENTATION = FTP) (SESSION = RAW)))
and then restart the listener as root
    Start the listener as root.
At the operating system prompt, enter tnslsnr with optional command line arguments. The usage is as follows:
tnslsnr [listener_name] [-user user] [-group group]
    where:
    Table 4-3 tnslsnr Utility Options
    Option Description
    listener_name
Specify the name of the listener. If omitted, the default name LISTENER will be used.
    -user user
Specify the user whose privileges the listener will use when super user (root) privileges are not needed. After performing the privileged operations, the listener will give up root privileges irreversibly.
    -group group
Specify the group whose privileges the listener will use when super user (root) group privileges are not needed. After performing the privileged operations, the listener will give up root group privileges irreversibly.
The listener will temporarily switch to the provided user and group immediately after startup. All subsequent operations will be done with the specified user and group privileges, except the system calls necessary to listen on configured endpoints. The listener will revert to super user (root) for a short period of time to listen on reserved addresses, such as TCP ports less than 1024. After the listener starts listening on all of its endpoints configured in listener.ora, it will switch to the specified user and group irreversibly. Therefore, the listener will give up the root privilege that it initially had. In the current release, -user and -group command line arguments only accept user and group identifiers specified in numeric form.
For example, to execute a root listener called mylsnr and have it use privileges of a user identified

  • How do you connect a mini display port to a tv?

I know where the Mini Display Port on my iMac is but I don't know what convertor to buy.

It depends on what kind of video input(s) your TV has.
If your TV only has a VGA (aka pc) video input, then you need the Apple miniDisplayPort-VGA adapter  In this case you will also need a VGA cable to connect from the adapter to your TV
If your TV has either DVI or HDMI video inputs, then you need the Apple miniDisplayPort-DVI adapter  In this case you need either 1) a DVI-DVI cable or 2) a DVI-HDMI cable to connect from the adapter to your TV (depending on what kind of video input your TV has).
Note: for audio you will also need a separate cable to connect your iMac's headphone output to your TV's audio input.  The exact kind of plugs you need on the cable depend on what your TV has.  In most cases TVs have two RCA-type jacks (red = right, white = left) for audio input.  On the iMac end you need a 3.5mm male stereo plug.  These are very common cables that you can find at Radio Shack and most big-box stores.

  • How to change the Number of IVR ports in a UCCX?

I know this question has been asked before but it needs to be asked again, as previous answers do not seem to apply.   The simple quesiton is:  If you have a UCCX and if after install you check you check License information and you note that you have 150 IVR ports; how do you increase the number of ports to 300?
I have been told that the number of ports is set by the class of the machine hardware and is not a license issue.   Others have suggested it is a license issue?   At the end of the day, however, I want a step by step procedure for adding more IVR ports to my deployment.   Even if that means buying more licenses (though I can not find a SKU).
I have several clients that have UCCX and are having calls that exceed the number of IVR ports.   Before we get into a discussion of CTI ports or Call Controll Groups, let me identify that I think they are the same.    I can create a CTI Call Control Group with 300 paths, but if I only have 150 IVR ports I am in serious trouble on the 151 call!
I had a lab system that installed under vmware with 150 ports.  No matter how I tried to configure the CVA it always came up 150 ports!   I added a NFR license to my lab and magically it turned it into a 12 IVR system, so licensing does have something to do with it!
I have htis experience on Version 8 and now on Version 9!   I need more IVR ports than appear in the installation.  I want to know exactly the steps needed to increase the number of IVR ports to the maxium of 300 for an enhanced system!
I can refer CISOC TAC to several tickets I have opened on this subject all with unsatisactory answers!  Most recently 626743961

    Here's the long answer
Peter Buswell wrote:I know this question has been asked before but it needs to be asked again, as previous answers do not seem to apply.   The simple quesiton is:  If you have a UCCX and if after install you check you check License information and you note that you have 150 IVR ports; how do you increase the number of ports to 300?
Since I see below that you mentioned that the system in question is Enhanced, the answer is simply, install on faster hardware.  Presently the best hardware you can get is VMWare ESXi with the 400 Agent License OVA, which gives you 400 IVR Port Licenses.
Standard licensing works the same as Enhanced, as far as IVR Port licenses go.
If you were wondering about Premium, then it's a 1:2 ratio of agent:ports.  You cannot buy Premium ports directly, instead you buy them indirectly through the process of buying Premium Agent seats.  So if you had a Premium UCCX with 100 Agents, you would have 200 ports, and if you desired to have 250 ports, you simply buy 25 more Premium Agent seats.  Premium does still need to adhere to the hardware limits.  I have seen partners sell someone an Enhanced UCCX which gave them 300 ports, but they only had like 50 Agents.  A year later, the customer upgraded to Premuim, but only bought 50 seats, and thus downgraded their port license count to 100.  A third of what they had!  The solution?  Buy 100 more Premium Agent seats so your total goes up to 150 Agents, and thus your ports go up to 300.
Peter Buswell wrote:I have been told that the number of ports is set by the class of the machine hardware and is not a license issue.   Others have suggested it is a license issue?
These are both correct statements.  Just remember, that it's licensed based first for Premium, then hardware limited.  Standard and Enhanced are hardware limited only.
Peter Buswell wrote:At the end of the day, however, I want a step by step procedure for adding more IVR ports to my deployment.   Even if that means buying more licenses (though I can not find a SKU).
Again, for Standard and Enhanced, you need to move to bigger/better hardware to get more ports, assuming you're not already at the meximum of 400.
Here is the document which walks you through moving to bigger hardware: Disaster Recovery Guide
And for Premium, you need to purchase the SKU for a Premium Agent Seat license.  It's a 1:2 ratio for agents:ports.
Peter Buswell wrote:I have several clients that have UCCX and are having calls that exceed the number of IVR ports.
I'm not a partner, nor in sales, but I thought there was an A2Q process which validates CC designs for sales people.  At any rate, it sounds like they were either under sized or outgrew their overhead, and something needs to be done.
Sometimes you can simply dump excess calls off.  Think about playing a high call volume message to callers and then drop them.
Other times you can drop them into voicemail, and come back to it later.
I've seen some basic call back functionality implemented with an external data source, which could alleviate ports.
Lastly, I've seen improperly designed scripts which loop on themselves or other scripts, causing a high port usage.
My point is that there's a few options here, outside of simply increasing the size of the server or purchasing new licenses.  There's no one size fits all answer though.
Peter Buswell wrote:Before we get into a discussion of CTI ports or Call Controll Groups, let me identify that I think they are the same.
Are you saying that CTI Ports and Call Control Groups are the same?  Or that CTI Ports/CCG's are the same as IVR Port Licenses?  Cause the former is true, while the latter is not.  Think "oversubscribed" CTI Ports.
Sometimes it is advantageous to oversubscribe your CTI Ports, to achieve a more dynamic environment.  E.g., I have 100 ports, and all 100 are used for inbound calls.  I develope a single inbound app, which is limited to 10 ports, and handles small bursts of calls.  What happens is that, if the new inbound app is running, the most it can "steal" from the inbound calls is 10 ports.  However, if the app is not running (because it doesn't run all day, it's mostly bursty in nature), I can still have my regular inbound calls go all the way up to 100.
Peter Buswell wrote:I can create a CTI Call Control Group with 300 paths, but if I only have 150 IVR ports I am in serious trouble on the 151 call!
This is true.  Again, you need to decide if you really need the extra ports, of if there is some solution to solving this problem without making a hardware/license purchase.  These kinds of problems still exist for customers at the 400 port level, and they don't have the option to "buy more."
Well, that's not entirely true.  While you cannot grow past the 400 port limit today, you could install another UCCX instance on the same CUCM cluster, effectively doubling your capacity, but breaking your administration into two separate domains.
Peter Buswell wrote:I had a lab system that installed under vmware with 150 ports.  No matter how I tried to configure the CVA it always came up 150 ports!
    What's CVA?
Peter Buswell wrote:I added a NFR license to my lab and magically it turned it into a 12 IVR system, so licensing does have something to do with it!
The NFR is most likely a Premium license.  Refer back to the 1:2 ratio, and that would tell me you have an NFR license for 6 Premium Agents.  Installing a higher level license on a lower level licensed system brings the whole system up to the higher level.  Recall my partner story about the Enhanced to Premium upgrade scenario.
Peter Buswell wrote:I have htis experience on Version 8 and now on Version 9!
The licensing doesn't change from 8x to 9x.
Peter Buswell wrote:I need more IVR ports than appear in the installation.  I want to know exactly the steps needed to increase the number of IVR ports to the maxium of 300 for an enhanced system!
You buy bigger/better hardware, and use the link I provided above for moving to that new hardware.

I would be surprised if there is a single Cisco TAC person who doesn't understand this simply IVR Port licensing model.  Perhaps there was some miscommunication about what was being asked, and what answer was being given.
I hope that helped to clarify some things for you.  Also, if you are a partner, reach out to your CAM and ask for a one on one with a UCCX guru who can sit down with you.  Cisco would want you to be successful with selling their products.

  • On Ios 7 how do you delete songs directly on the iPhone

on ios 7 how do you delete songs directly on the phone

    i think i stumbled onto a solution.
the upgrade to os7 brought a bunch of music into my phone i didn't care to hear anymore.
(free downloads from the itunes twitter feed..some of them are good, most of them i normally delete immediately)
i had 3 pesky songs that would not allow me to delete.
every other song in my library gave me the option to delete, just not the ones i never wanted to hear again.
..super frustrating when the song keeps starting over everytime you touch it while scrambling for a delete option.
they were purchases which i'd hidden.
i plugged to computer and tried to use iTunes to delete but they did not appear.
all "show all" options for music and video were off.
    itunes match was off.
    all automatic downloads were off.
    "show all music" was off.
i logged out of my apple ID for several minutes.
i think this may have given time for my account to resynchronize the items i didn't want to see anymore.
i've logged back in and they're still gone.
i don't care if i hear a new eric clapton song again for the rest of the year thank you.

  • How do you change the direction of a Tween Wipe effect

    Hi all,
Completely new to the forums and I hopefully my query is straight forward.  How do you change the direction in the pre-built tween effects available within Flash CS3 (primarily the Wipe effect).  Example code:
    var Animate_Box:Tween = new Tween(Box, "height", Strong.easeInOut, 0, 200, 1, true);
    OR
    var Animate_Box_2:Object = {type:Wipe, direction:Transition.IN, duration:1, easing:Strong.easeInOut};
    TransitionManager.start(Box_2, Animate_Box_2);
    Many thanks in advance.
    Kam
    ANSWERED:
Sorry for posting something so pointless!
You simply add 'startPoint:5' onto the end i.e.
    var Animate_Box_2:Object = {type:Wipe, direction:Transition.IN, duration:1, easing:Strong.easeInOut, startPoint:5'};
    TransitionManager.start(Box_2, Animate_Box_2);
startPoint:5' = can be any number depending on the direction of the Wipe you want.
    Thanks,
    Kam

What you really want is a way of automatically mirroring the the X and/or Y coordinates of the keyframes within the effect. This ability would be very useful.
But right now there's no way to do that. You'd have to do it manually. That effect actually uses the Slide parameter to generate the movement (instead of a discreet X/Y coordinate for the position.) Changing the first keyframe value of the Slide parameter to a negative number still doesn't give the effect I think you're looking for.
So, it's probably easier to just rebuild the effect the way you want it from scratch.

  • How do you reverse the direction of a build in title?

I use Final Cut Pro X, and for a build in title, how would you reverse the direction? For example, One of the build in titles is called "Knock Out", and the words come into the frame away from you, but how do you make the words go the other way, and go towards you?
If you don't understand what I mean, that effect is called "knock out", and you can look at it in your application.
I know how to reverse clips, but that does not work with transitions/title effects
    Thank you!

This particular title does not offer many options for customization; in particular, no option for working the other around, as you want.
I can think of a few options for this. The easiest is would be to make the title by itself into a compound clip; but I have just tried it and it does not work, because the blend mode of the text (stencil alpha) does not propagate down inside a compound clip. (If it did, you'd just have to reverse the compound).
Another option is to open a copy in Motion and make changes there. If you have Motion, this will allow you to adjust as you wish.
Yet another easy way may be to "construct" this title yourself right in FCP X.
Insert the "Custom" title, adjust the text font, change the blend mode to Stencil Alpha, and keyframe the scale.

  • How do you select an object that is directly under another object?

How do you select an object that is directly under another object?
I was working from a template and I wanted to make a text box the same size as a column box that was put there in order to keep the text in the confines of the paper that is was being printed to.
I could actually put text in each column fine but I wanted it to be in a text box so that I could slightly tilt the test box to compensate for my printer feeding it in slightly wrong. I accomplished this on another template but I could not on this one. If I was working in InDesign or something I know I could just select that layer but I'm at a loss of what to do here. How do I select a column right under a text box? I just thought of something. Once I make the text boxes the same size as the columns I think I can just delete the columns from the inspector. But that would be kind of a work around. I know you can hold down command when nothing is selected from outside the document and then highlight but this is not working. Does anyone have some tips and tricks when it comes to having control over which objects you are selecting when it comes to objects that are overlapped as well as directly over each other.
    Thanks.
    Tim

I'm not sure it's documented any where, but it's not too difficult. First, ⌘-click outside of the layout area to enter object mode then drag the cursor towards the two objects until you see the handles. Now, again ⌘-click on the top object to deselect it. You can now move the underlying object to the front to edit, delete, etc.
After typing this, it dawned on me, why not just click the top object to select it & move it to the back? I've only done the other way a bazillion times & now I think of this.

  • How do you say "Directions" to Siri?

How do you say "directions" to Siri?  No matter how I say it, Siri will say "I'm sorry Peter, but I don't know what you mean by "direct actions"". Or, Siri will say "I'm sorry Peter but I don't know what you mean by "diet actions"".
Here is another one.  How do you say "airport"?  Siri thinks that I am saying Apple.  So, if I ask "give me directions to the airport" it will give me directions to Apple in Cupertino.
I know that Siri is STILL in beta, but come on!  I cannot even go to an Apple store with this, because I am using T-Mobile (I've had an unlocked iPhone 5 since the day it was released, last November) and Apple stores are surrounded by aluminium and they do not yet have the T-Mobile repeater!

    Hey pforkes,
We have a troubleshooting article for Siri that you can find here:

  • How do you Change Group Sort Direction using Report Client
