Spatial Query by users other than data owner

I am having a problem with a spatial query that works perfectly for the user that owns the table containing the SDO_GEOMETRY column. But I am unable to make this query work for other users.
I am aware that the problem is related the using the indexes, as the error I am getting is "... Failed to tessellate window - ORA-13209 internal error while reading SDO_INDEX_METADATA ..."
I cannot seem to find any reference in the release documentation to making this possible. And several attempts to create indexes for other users have failed, probably because I am missing some important step.
Any advice or pointers to doco would be appreciated.
Greg.

I don't know of any way to control what elements of the model are made visable to a particular user. To control which data values (dimension members and associated fact data), you could implement the OLAP DML PERMIT command using OLAP DML programs that you create.

  • Workbook updated by user other than Workbook owner

We have workbooks created in Production by a single administrative Username 'X'
However recent audits have shown this workbook has been updated by a second user 'Y'
What settings can make this possible? Our idea was that no one but the workbook owner can update a workbook.
This has raised Audit concerns, and I am wits end tryin gto ding out how 'Y' could have updated a workbook owned by 'X'
    Thanks

    Hi,
using the discoverer you cannot update another owner workbook, that's part of the discoverer functionality.
You can search this forum and you will be amazed by the number of users that want the ability to update a
workbook of someone else but them.
I can think of 2 things that can cause this:
    1. 'Y' imported (using admin tool) the workbook with refresh option so that it actually update the workbook.
    2. someone changed the workbook directly from the DB.

  • CUIC 8.5 Unable to "choose collection" for users other than Admin/Superv

    Hi,
When login with any user other than the admin, I'm not able get any entry in the "choose collection" drop down menu for any type of report. While investigating it seems this is restricted by the option Security / User Permissions / System Collections (UCCE). I can see how all the teams has assigned the admin user for read, exedcute and write. In addition also the supervisor of the team is added to the list and I have checked and confirmed that the supervisor can get the collection of his/her team.
There is a list on the right hand side to be able to add additional user permissions however when I try I get the error "System Collections (UCCE) permissions can't be modified". Obviously having just the supervisor of the team being able to list their team is not good enoguh and I would expect changing the permissions here is possible.
Has anyone come accross this problem or do you have any tips before openign a TAC case?
    Thanks
    Isidro

I should also note something that I did that I think may be causing the default wiki and blog theme to not appear. In Server Admin, selecting Web, then going to Settings and on the Web Services tab, I changed the Data Store path to:
    /Library/WebServer/Documents
I did this thinking it would create the html pages in the directory that the placeholder page was indicating that I should put my web page, but I think that is wrong, now. Does anyone know the default path for the data store?

Huge volume of records are routing to the remote user other than his position and organization records. Synchronization and DB initialization taking more time around 36 hours.
Actual accounts & contacts need to be route around 2000 & 3000 but we have observed lakhs of records routing into local DB.
We have verified all the Assignment Rules, Views.
We ran docking object visibility rules and we have observed that some other accounts are routing due to Organization rule passing. (these records are not supposed to route).

let me know what would be the reason that 1st million takes only 15 minuts and the time goes on increasing gradually with the increase of dataYes that's a little strange. I only can guess:
    1. You are in archivelog mode and the Archiver is not able to archive the redo logs fast enough
    2. You don't use Direct Load and DBWR ist not able to write the direty block to disk fast enough. You could create more DBWR processes in that case.
    3. Make a snapshot of v$system_event:
create table begin as select * from v$system_event;After the import run
create table end as select * from v$system_event;Now compare the values:
select * from begin order by TIME_WAITED_MICRO descwith the values given you by
select * from end order by TIME_WAITED_MICRO descSo you can look where your DB spent so much time waiting for something.
Alternativly, you could start a 10046 trace on the loading session and use tkprof.

  • How to create user other than 'sa' to connect database server in SAP SBO

I want to ask how the step for create user other than 'sa' to connect database server in SAP SBO? Until now I use 'sa' (default) for connect to database server in SAP SBO application.
    Can I do that?

You may create multiple SQL users to give full right to B1 database instead of using 'sa' user.
However, the preferred way would be by Use Trusted connection when you set the connection to SQL Server. In this way, you just need one more user for SQL.  A group of window users could use this SQL access to connect database server.

  • How to get User Profile Service information on user OTHER THAN current user?

So much information on how to autopopulate information for the current user or the logged in user in InfoPath.  But what about other users?  What if there's a field that's 99/100 times going to be the same person, but it's not the person that's
    logged in?
I would like not just to autopopulate a person field to be a specific user (which is not the current user), but I'd also like to autopopulate surrounding fields for that user's Title and Department.
For instance, consider the following 6 fields.
    1. Current User Name:
    2. Current User Title:
    3. Current User Department:
    4. Current User’s Supervisor’s Name:
    5. Current User’s Supervisor’s Title:
    6. Current User’s Supervisor’s Department:
I know how to get the first three; the internet is swarming with that information.
I'm struggling the last three; searching for this information is impossible without turning up information on current user instead.
The furthest I've gotten so far is to autopopulate Current User's Supervisor's Name by:
     1. Show Advanced View on Fields pane
     2. Expand my Field (which is really a group) called IT Manager Name
     3. Expand what shows up under that which is pc:Person
     4. Right click AccountId and choose Properties
     5. Set Default value to [our domain]\[IT Manager's ads username]
This solves how to get that 4th field my example list above Current User's Supervisor's Name to autopopulate, but how do I then get the Title and Department from the value I set in step 5 [our domain]\[IT Manager's ads username]?  Or is there a different/better
way altogether to go about getting a non-current user's info to autopopulate in InfoPath form fields?
    *UPDATE*
I just want to clarify that I'm not asking if there's a way to autopopulate the current user's supervisor.  I'm aware that Manager is one of the User Profile service fields.  But the point is that  I want to have a field in which the current
user fills in a username (different than his or her own), and to have User Profile Service called on that provided username to autopopulate Title and Department in surrounding fields.  The question is about how to call information with User Profile Service
on any provided username, specifically what steps to take to set this up in InfoPath Designer.

Have a look at the REST API. You can use the /_api/sp.userprofiles.peoplemanager/getpropertiesfor endpoint to query the user profile service for user profile properties of any user.
The API is documented here: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn790354.aspx and here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/jj163800.aspx

  • FAQ: How do I organize my photos by criteria other than date?

Adobe Revel sorts the photos that you upload  in your photo library by date. However, you can create an unlimited number of albums in your library. So, you could set up different categories (albums) to sort the photos by theme or event, for example.
To create an album on iOS, tap the icon in the upper-left corner, and then tap Create New Album. Name the album, and tap OK. Select the photos that you want to add to the album, and then tap Add.
To create an album on Mac, click Create New under Albums in the left pane. Enter a name for the album. To add photos to the album, click the plus icon in the upper-left corner.
To create an album on Adoberevel.com: Click on the Albums tab then select "Create an Album"
Note: The photos inside each album are sorted by date. There isn't a way to sort other than by date within a album.

  • Problem in Accessing Admin services using users other than administrator

    Hi,
I am working on SAP MII 12.1. I have a reuirement to get list of users for a particular role from the system for display in a dropdown. I am using the URL :
    /XMII/Illuminator?Service=admin&mode=UserList&Group=[Param.1]&Content-Type=text/xml
But I am getting error while logging through a different user (user who does not have Administrator role).
I tried to call this url as aXML query, through transaction and also through web service, but it's showing following error:
You do not have permission to access service Admin
Please let me know how can I use this url for any user who does not have administrator role.
    Thanks,
    Anubhuti

    Hi,
The problem got resolved by giving the role privileges to access the Admin services through UME. Earlier I couldn't find the way to provide this access in 12.1.
    Thanks,

  • Can I run DSCC as user other than noaccess?

Running DS 6.3 on Sparc Solaris 10. Using package install; when I perform the dsccsetup initialize, the DSCC directory is created but runs under the noaccess userid. I would like to run this process under a different user. So I tried the following:
    Stopped the DSCC.
    Modified the dse.ldif under /var/opt/SUNWdsee/dscc6/dcc/ads/config:
    changed nsslapd-localuser: noaccess to
    nsslapd-localuser: someuserid
Changed directory and file ownership to new userid
    chown -R someuserid /var/opt/SUNWdsee/dscc6/dcc
    Started the DSCC.
The process starts up fine and reports no errors, but when I try to access the DSCC under the webconsole, it reports an error on the web page that it has a problem accessing the DSCC configuration data.
Is it possible to change the DSCC user id? If so, how?

    Thanks for the suggestion etst123.
Unfortunately modifying the state file did not make a difference. Like before, the DSCC directory instance starts up as the new user id I specify, reports no errors, and I can even issue an ldapsearch from the command line and successfully get the contents of the DSCC directory data.
Given that, I'm wondering if there is something more that needs to be done in getting webconsole or cacao updated with the change. Problems seem to be simply accessing the DSCC thru the web interface. Instead of getting the web page prompting me for the DSCC admin username and password, I get a page with an "Unexpected Error" message indicating there is a problem reading the DSCC configuration data.
Unfortunately there is very little documentation associated with tweaking the DSCC.

  • CF Admin login fails (invalid pw) for Windows User other than the one used to install CF 10

I installed CF 10 on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard having logged into the server as a Windows user in the administrator group.  I set up CF 10 Administrator to use a single password (the default).  I can log into CF Admin when authenticating to the server with the same Windows credentials used when installing CF 10 but if I log into the server as another Windows user in the administrator group I cannot log into CF Admin; I get an Invalid Password error.  I thought the whole point of the single password was so that anyone who can log into the server could log into CF Admin.  It works like that for my CF 8 and CF 9 machines.

It is a new design, based on security issues that arose in previous ColdFusion versions. See, for example, Charlie Arehart's blog for more details.

  • Using a different user(other than default PI user) with adapter module

    Hi,
We are having a custom adapter module built to interact with a Hardware Security Module(HSM). This custom adapter module by default uses a PI user configured in the system. However, we are not able to pass commands to HSM because of insufficient authorizations to this PI user. Now, we do not exactly know the permissions required for the user to access HSM. We have asked the HSM support team about the same. However, I wanted to explore the possibility of using a different PI user to work with the adapter module and eventually pass commands to HSM.
We have an admin user configured which has all the necessary authorizations. Is it possible to use this admin user created on PI system to work with adapter module so that it passes commands to HSM?
    Thanks,
    Ravi Desai

We have given the necessary authorizations to PI user.

    # cd $ORACLE_HOME
    # chmod 755 *

  • Running the App Server as a user other than root

We used to use iPlanet Web Server which during installation allowed you to specify which user you wanted to run the Web Server. This was very good for security. How do you do this with the App server ?
    Thanks
PS We are running it on Solaris 9.

Application Server 7 expands on the flexibility offered in the web server.
The most basic means to define app server instances with non-root users is to create an administrative domain (basically, an admin server instance) using the user ID of interest. As you create new application server instances in the admin domain, you can assign the same user ID to the instances.
(There is an admin domain that is initially configured as part of the app server installation. If you installed the product as root, then the admin server and the initially configured app server instance are owned by root. If you do not want these instances to be owned by root, you should remove this admin domain and create a new one that is owned by a non-root user.)
For example, with the following command, I've created a new app server config (an administrative domain) containing an admin server owned by user "ckamps":
root@canteloupe-{}: asadmin create-domain sysuser ckamps adminuser admin adminpassword password adminport 5050 ckamps.domain3
    Created Domain ckamps.domain3 successfully
    root@canteloupe-{}:
Then I create an app server instance within this admin domain:
    root@canteloupe-{}: asadmin create-instance domain ckamps.domain3 sysuser ckamps --instanceport 80 instance1
    Created Instance instance1 successfully
Note the use of the "--sysuser" option to specify the user that owns both the admin domain as well as the app server instance.
You can either use root to define the admin domain and the instances (in which case you need to specify the sysuser option to force a non-root ownership) or you can use a non-root user to define the admin domain and app server instances.  In the latter case, specification of the sysuser is not required.
Since my instance is defined to listen on a privileged port, I'll need to set the "run as user" in the <instance-dir>/config/init.conf file (similar to magnus.conf in Sun ONE Web Server 6) AND ensure that I start the instance as root. Once the server instance starts up as root, it will automatically switch to the run as user.
The "User" setting below is the "run as user" specified in the admin console's "Create new instance" wizard.
    <snip of init.conf>
    NetsiteRoot /usr/appserver
    ServerID instance3
    ServerName canteloupe
    PidLog /var/appserver/domains/ckamps.domain3/instance3/logs/pid
    User ckamps
    DNS off
    </snip>
Alternatively, you can start up the newly defined admin server and create the new app server instance through the admin console.
    Hope this helps,
    Chris
