SPDD - Technical setting issue on BNKA table

Hi All,
We are in the process of 4.7 to ECC 6.0 upgrade.
Please see the SPDD screen shot
http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dctrtng5_0dqxqcw
In this what can we do with the issue related to BNKA table. It shows it is a warning with Technical setting.
I have verified with source system version of BNKA table technical settings with the upgrade shadow system BNKA table technical settings . I dont find any difference .
Please let me know what can i do .
Regards,
Reddy

Hi ,
Thanks for reply.
Please find the technical settings in my system
Data class APPL0 Master data, transparent tables
Size category 2 Data records expected: 8.000 to 32.000
and buffering not allowed
I checked both systems- sanpit system and the shadow system verified is there any changes in technical settings ... I dont find any changes in this ...
But in the screenshot of SPDD it is showing as warning under without modification adjustments.
If it is a warning can we ignore this and can add this to transport . or what is suggested ..
I dont find any difference in both technical settings ... give me some idea..
Cheers,
Reddy

  • How to maintain BNKA table.

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to Maintain the table BNKA, where i can able to change the selected entries of the table.
    This we can do normally by creating the maintainance view for the table. This case we cannot as this is a standard table.
    Could you please let me know a solution to change the selected entries of the table. Is updating the BNKA table using Zprogram is preferable.
    Will highly appreciate the solution.

  • Regarding Technical Setting of Tables.

    Hey Hi Experts,
    I have following issues within my implementation project.
    1. On the PRD server the data is huge when i see Transaction  tables like VEPO or LIPS I see that the size  Category specified ( in my case vepo is set for Catagor 4 ie 81,000 to       320,000 records but it far exceeds the limits current is 6 lacks )  in the technical setting is very low as compared to the data size  in them  ( Will that matter  my Reports performance )
    2.  There is a radio button goup where its set to "NO Buffring allowed "  (Caution ..!)
    I need you suggession for the following do i need to adjust the technical setting of  the tables if my data size is exceding the limit specified record count .
    If ineed to set it  What type of buffring will i choose.
    Plz experts...:)

    1) When you activate a table for the first time the system needs to know how much space it needs to reserve for your table. Your definition tells the system the maximum size in bytes for each record. All the system needs to know is how many records (a ball park figure) your table is likely to have. This is what you enter in the size (category). This does not mean that your table cannot exceed that size. When your table is about the exceed the specified size the system needs to allocate more space. How does it know how much space it needs to allocate? Again it looks at this technical setting value. In short the category indicates to the system the amount of disc space to allocate/reallocate your table.
    Will this effect your query speed? No.
    2) Buffering determines how many records are transferred from the database to the memory. If you use full buffering any query to the table will cause all the records in the table to be transferred into your buffer. This setting is acceptable for smaller tables. You would not want to do this with larger tables because you will not have enough space in the memory to read all the data. The partial buffering transfers all the records that qualify by part of the primary key. For example if you are reading VBAP (Sales Order Line table), if you repair the table to have partial buffering and you read one sales order (VBELN) the system automatically transfers all the data of all the lines (POSNR) of the sales order from the database to the buffer.
    Buffering helps improve performance but careful thought needs to be put into this and besides it is not advisable to repair any SAP tables.
    The best solution for large tables is archiving. The SAP R/3 system should not be used to view reports on historic data. We have the BW system for that. The BW system is designed to be flexible with data and can quickly give you the historical reports you desire. It is a best practice to archive large tables every 2 years and use the BW system for the historical data analysis.

  • Help needed to set consecutive numbering in table rows

    I need to set up a table so that the first column is a column of consecutive numbers (much like the record count).
    The table will be followed with a text frame, and then a new table will start.
    HOWEVER. I wanted to numbers in the first column to continue consecutively.
    I am using this for a lengthy explanation of technical instructions: one instruction/ per line.
    There will be about 1000+ instructions over the course of this 200-page book. The second column contains a checkbox, which is why I am having problems setting this up in an ordinary word-processing program, because of export issues (Dont ask). The third column contains the instruction.
    I am hoping that Numbers will solve my formatting problems.
    *Is there a simple way to set up the first table column in a sheet to number the rows consecutively, and continue the numbering each time a new table is inserted?*
    I hope I have explained this well enough.

    Fred, is it possible for this to work with other number related items. I'm talking specifically about sequential inventory numbers. At work I used excel, but now that computer is dead, and I'm working from home. I've refused to install microsoft products on my home machine for quite a while. I love numbers, and am glad it's out, so I am never even tempted by the "devil". Sorry got off topic.
    Essentially I used to write BLX-001 in cell one, BLX-002 in cell two, then do the drag method. When I have text in the Numbers cell though it won't give consecutive numbers, just continually repeat the numbers in the first two cells. Any helps

  • SPDD: Accept New Append Proposal for Tables?

    What are the basic steps (if there are any) for validating whether or not to accept the SPDD proposal for appends to changed tables?
    It seems like we accepted the proposal of the append. But we still do not see it in the table that it should have been implemented too?
    I am a first-timer for this operation.
         Thank-You

    Now, when you use SPDD during and if you have accepted proposal then make sure that your user id should have development access. Also you need to activate appended structure and SAP standard table. I would suggest to use more SPAU operation even for data dict part. Also, one more thing ECC 60 has extra settings like this table can be enhance or not ? so if table set for can not be enhance then SADD wont work. You need to get access key for that table and change settings. Repeat whole process again.

  • Best way to set up a custom table using dates ytd, quarters, months

    Hello-
    I did post this on the crystal forum however it really involves setting up a good structured table in order to get the data to report on which I think we need to change which is why I'm posting here.
    I am not a dba but I work with crystal reports and we are working together to get data in tables that we can report on.  We are in the process of creating a data warehouse, which will mainly be summarized data we are exporting out of our legacy system and importing into a mysql database.  Most of this data will be summarized by month, quarter and year.  We will have multiple years of data.  A lot of the reports we will be creating will be in a comparison manner such as 2009 vs 2008 or Jan this year compared to Jan last year or list out sales by month Jan-Dec 2009.  I would like this data to be easily displayed on a report in a side by side manner.  To get this result, what is the best way to structure the data in the tables on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis?  Right now weu2019ve got one field in the table called date (which is a string) which is listed like:
    Date
    2008YTD
    2009YTD
    2009Jan
    2008Jan
    Is it best to break out the date information so that on the report side it will be easier to work with?  Also should this be set up in the table as a date instead of a string?  If so how do you account for a YTD date?  Are we going to need 2 dates, a start and end date to achieve ytd or qtd information?  Do you recommend creating just a date table and if so how would that be structured?
    So for reporting purposes, using crystal reports, I would like to display comparison data on a report side by side, for this example this year goals compared to last years goals by goal code A-Z (which is a credit code, goals are for the # of credits by code for the year).  The end result I would like is to look like this:
    code   2009 goal   2008 goal
    A        25              20
    B        50              60
    C        10              15
    However the data looks like this (displaying all of the 2009 data first then the 2008 data, not side by side which is how it is in the table):
    code   2009 goal   2008 goal
    A        25
    B        50
    C        10
    etc to Z
    A                          20
    B                          60
    C                          15
    Right now the data is structured in the table like:
    Code  Goal  Date (this is currently a string in the db)
    A        25     YTD 2009
    B        50     YTD 2009
    etc. A-Z for 2009 then:
    A        20      YTD 2008
    B        60      YTD 2008
    Any thoughts on strucuting a table would be appreciated.  thanks.

    Jennifer,
    Most of the DW examples I've seen use a dimDateTime table in the database. That table has multiple columns related to the specific time... For example, here are the columns that are in the, SQL Server sample database, "AdventureWorkdDW"... "DimTime" table
    COLUMN_NAME             COLUMN_INFO
    TimeKey               (int, not null)
    FullDateAlternateKey     (datetime, null)
    DayNumberOfWeek          (tinyint, null)
    EnglishDayNameOfWeek     (nvarchar(10), null)
    SpanishDayNameOfWeek    (nvarchar(10), null)
    FrenchDayNameOfWeek     (nvarchar(10), null)
    DayNumberOfMonth     (tinyint, null)
    DayNumberOfYear          (smallint, null)
    WeekNumberOfYear     (tinyint, null)
    EnglishMonthName     (nvarchar(10), null)
    SpanishMonthName     (nvarchar(10), null)
    FrenchMonthName          (nvarchar(10), null)
    MonthNumberOfYear     (tinyint, null)
    CalendarQuarter          (tinyint, null)
    CalendarYear          (char(4), null)
    CalendarSemester     (tinyint, null)
    FiscalQuarter          tinyint, null)
    FiscalYear          (char(4), null)
    FiscalSemester          (tinyint, null)
    Then all of the fact table receive their date stamps by linking back to this table, using the TimeKey as a foreign key.

    if the data is multiple i.e. line items choose table.
    if the data is single i.e. fixed choose template.
    Create table
    >  Draw u r no lines
    > choose option select pattern
    > select display framed patterns
    Choose u r required one.
    out lined, or full lined. u can choose option.
    same procedure to be followed for template also.

    Images appear fine in Photoshop cs6 and cc, but print too dark, and also show too dark in Windows picture viewer. How can I correct this? Is this a Photoshop setting issue or what?

    Ok, look at your files in Photoshop. What is the profile assigned to them? You can find this out by going to the Status bar at the bottom, clicking on the right-pointing triangle and choosing document Profile from the list.
    Then in Windows, go to your Control Panel > Color Management and add sRGB (if it isn't there) and select it as your default profile.
    I hope that will work.

  • An error occurred in lock management when attempting to set a lock on table

    Hi All,
    I am getting the error 'An error occurred in lock management when attempting to set a lock on table SWWWIHEAD.'
    Sometimes the workitem is not created by the Workflow due to above error & this happens rarely but keeps coming.
    cany anyone guide or help me how to correct this problem.Is it happening due to my custom code making locks on the above table?
    Thanks in advance.
    Pls do reply

    I think you should not use any code to lock the table SWWWIHEAD.  Please let us know why you are writing code to put lock on this table.

  • Set operations on Internal tables.

    Hi,
      Last week i had to enhance a program that has a internal table with some records. I need to find populate a table with the records in the internal table. But before populating i must find out the difference in the records (i.e) the extra records in the internal table compared with the records in the database table and then i have to append those records in the internal table again and then insert the internal table records into database table. while doing it i need to create another internal table with records in database table and then loop at it to find the extra records and rest of the logic goes on.
      At this point of time it clicked in my mind "WHY DON'T WE HAVE SET OPERATIONS ON TWO INTERNAL TABELS(UNION, INTERSECTION, MINUS)".
      Now i am doing some study how to implemnt it. Before that i want to find out whether that functionality exists in ABAP or anybody of youo gurus have done similar work on it.
    Pls help me in proceeding with my work.

    Hi Arul,
    There is no special aided SET operations upon internal tables in ABAP. Concerning your particular task I would say that you can try INSERT statement for each record in your internal table without preliminary comparing them with DB table. If there is a record in DB table with the same key then sy-subrc after INSERT will be non zero (actually 4) and no real insert would occur. So, only those records would be inserted which have no counterpart in DB table.
    Best regards, Sergei

  • Set value in a table, from Bapi

    Hi, I have a little Problem, I hope that you can help me.
    i have the following structure (in the View)
    ->Zbapi_Requisition_Change_Input (Model Node, from bapi, RFC)
    --> Requisition_Items_Change (Model Node, table in the Bapi)
    > Currenci (Model Atribut, from table, in bapi)
    > Prq_No    (Model Atribut, from table, in bapi)
    > Preq_Item (Model Atribut, from table, in bapi)
    > Etc...
    --> Number (Model Atribut, import from bapi)
    now, i Have another structure, a Value Node
    -> GetDetailData (value Node)
    ---> Currenci (Value Atribut)
    ---> Prq_No   (Value Atribut)
    ---> Preq_Item (Value Atribut)
    ---> Number    (Value Atribut)
    ---> etc...
    this Value node is populate from OVS, but this is not a problems.
    The Value node have the value that i need for execute the Bapi Requisition Change (not all).
    Then, i need populate de Zbapi_Requisition_Change_Input , whit the GetDetailData value ( the user can change this, via inputfield, in Form)
    I write the following sentence in the view:
    wdContext.currentZbapi_Requisition_Change_InputElement().setNumber(wdContext.currentGetDetailDataElement().getPreq_No());
    this work fine, it populate de input field "Number", because the Number is "Import" form bapi, is not a "table".
    My problem, is when i need populate the table "Requisition_Items_Change" (Necessary to execute the Bapi), i put this:
    wdContext.nodeZbapi_Requisition_Change_Input().nodeRequisition_Items_Change().currentRequisition_Items_ChangeElement().setPreq_Item(wdContext.currentGetDetailDataElement().getPreq_Item());
    this have the same logical that anterior, but don't work, result a "JaVaNullPoint Exception"
    why happens this??? to set a value in a table, I need another procedure???
    Please help me, i need your knowledge...
    regards...

    Hi Antonio,
    I feel, your code should look some thing similar to the below:
    Assume that BAPI 'Zbapi_Requisition_Change' uses a table 'Requisition_Items_Change' of some type 'ZTAB' .
    Zbapi_Requisition_Change_Input input = new Zbapi_Requisition_Change_Input () // create an instance of the Input class;
    ZTAB table = new ZTAB();
    //if you do not know table type of 'Requisition_Items_Change' , check the function input.addRequisition_Items_Change(<table type>)
    table.set<property1>(<your-value>);
    table.set<propertyn>(<your-value>););
    input.addRequisition_Items_Change(table);
    wdcontext.currentZbapi_Requisition_Change_InputElement.bind(input);
    Now execute the BAPI using the following line
    wdContext.currentZbapi_Requisition_Change_InputElement().modelObject().execute();
    wdContext.nodeOutput.invalidate()
    // clears the old value in the output node
    Hope this helps,
    Best Regards,
    Nibu.

  • Performance issue with COEP table in ECC 6

    Hi,,
    Any idea how to resonlve performance issue on COEP table in ECC6.0
    We are not using COEP table right now. this table occupies 100gb of 900 gb in PRD system.
    Can i directly archive/delete the table?
    Regards
    Siva

    Hi Siva,
    You cannot archive COEP table alone. It should be archived along with the respective archive object. Just deleting the table is not at all a good idea.
    For finding out the appropriate archive object contributing to the entries in COEP, you need to perform CO table analysis using programs RARCCOA1 and RARCCOA2. For further informaton refer to SAP note 138688.
    Hope this helps,
    Naveen
