Specific IP-address

What is the most elegant way to let only users from specific hosts (IP-address)
access Weblogic server resources? (i'm interested in the access of web resources,
JSP's more precisely)

You could just create a connection filter (Or modify the existing one by
adding a rule to permit only those in the given IP addresses).

  • How do I configure my Airport Extreme to work in Bridge Mode and provide specific IP addresses to clients

My Airport Extreme is working with an Airport Express to wirelessly extend my wireless network.  Both Airports are configured in Bridge Mode per the instructions I found on Apple's support site.  I want to assign a specific DHCP address to a wireless camera that is in range of the Extreme, but I understand that the Extreme needs to be in DHCP Only mode to do this.  But if I change the mode to DHCP Only, the Extreme will lose contact with the Express.  How can I get both functions to work - wireless network extension and specific DHCP addresses?

Then what device is providing DHCP? Only once device per subnet should be the DHCP server. One should be DHCP and NAT and the other in Bridge mode for most home setups. The unit with DHCP and NAT should be the one connected to your cable or DSL and the other set in Bridge mode only extends your network.
On the wireless config page set whichever you're using to extend your network to "Extend a wireless network" and give it the details of the network to which you're attaching it.

  • How can I get responses to return to a specific email address?

How do I get all my for responses to return to a specific email address? Does the Acrobat user need to be logged in with this email or is there an option for this?
    Any help would be appreciated!

Looks to me like the Distribute Forms feature in Acrobat taps into the email address you have specified in Acrobat as your identity; that's where it gets the mailto: address associated with the submit button in the document message bar.
Furthermore, if you create a form in LiveCycle the distribute process still seems to tap into Acrobat.  Just for grins you can open the distributed form in LiveCycle (better make and open a copy so you don't break the Reader extended usage rights), go & look in the object palette at the submit address property of your email submit button and it will be blank.  Surprise!  This data has migrated to one or more than one script at the document level.  And if your user then opens your LiveCycle-made form in Reader to complete and return, the submit button in the document bar corresponds to your identity email address in Acrobat.
So I managed a quick but ugly workaround for an email submitted form by:
    Going into Acrobat:Edit/Preferences/Identity
changing the email address in my identity to the desired return address
distributing my form (can do either in LiveCycle or in Acrobat)
putting my Identity email address back where it was afterwards.
Good luck with all that.  And if anyone knows a more elegant method, do share!

  • I installed Mountain Lion so that I could sync my notes with my iPhone that already syncs notes with a specific email address I use for school, but during the install it automatically set up Notes to sync w the wrong email addy. How can I fix it?

I installed Mountain Lion so that I could sync my notes with my iPhone that already syncs notes with a specific email address I use for school, but during the install it automatically set up Notes to sync w the wrong email addy. It looked in Mail, which had 5 email accounts set up in it, and for some reason picked the only one that I no longer use because it is for a school that I no longer attend. How can I fix it so that it syncs with the correct email account for notes and calendar? There don't seem to be any settings available other than to check if you want to use the basic features. It also said during the set up that it was setting up 'find my mac' but if I look on the iCloud website there is nothing showing there for finding my mac.
At this point I feel like I wasted my money paying for this supposed upgrade. I got nothing for it but frustration. It even automatically set my security settings to allow only downloads from the Mac store so the first time I went to download something I had to stop what I was doing and go correct settings first. I feel like there should be a security setting to block downloads from the Mac store so I don't accidentally end up clicking the wrong thing and being charged.

iCloud isn't syncing them on your phone.  You simply added the email account to your phone and enabled calendar and notes syncing with the email provider, and the calendar and notes appear in the calendar and notes apps on your phone.  You can do this with Gmail, Yahoo and other IMAP account.  iCloud email is just another IMAP account, but syncs notes with Apple's iCloud server just as Gmail syncs notes and calendars with Google's server.
iCloud didnt' set up a non-iCloud account on your Mac.  When you check Mail in System Preferences>iCloud, it only creates an iCloud email account.  You can also add other email accounts to your Mac by going to System Preferences>Mail,Contacts,Calendars and clicking on the "+" sign on the bottom of the left sidebar.  If you added these other email accounts to your Mac before you upgraded to Mountain Lion, these were simply maintained on your Mac after you upgraded.

  • How to Block Specific IP Address (YouTube)

This is a follow-up question to one I posted earlier this week. I want to block YouTube (and a handful of other sites) from my stepson's new iMac and it was suggested I try/use Leopard's "Parental Control" feature.
I tried that, but the problem is, when he attempts to visit the site, a warning page pops up informing him Parental Controls have blocked the site, then gives him the option to log in as the administrator or to email the admin for access...and that's pretty much the worst thing that could happen. He has serious Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and it HUGELY upsets him that he can't guess the Admin password.
Soooooo...can anyone suggest an alternative means of blocking a specific IP address that does so WITHOUT serving up a "Contact the Administrator" message? Someone has suggested blocking the IP address via the network router, but I haven't a clue how to do that.
    Any help?
    Thanks.

Something else you might look at to see if it is suitable for you is to use the DNS servers from www.opendns.com (on your router for example) and set up an account on there, then exclude the sites you don't want accessed - either by the names of the sites OR by the category of site they are.
What that does is NOT actually "blocking the site" as such, what it does is when the workstation wants to resolve the hostname into an IP address, OpenDNS will fail the request. The user will see a browser page from OpenDNS saying that the site was blocked by the network administrator - you can change the wording and even add an icon if you like.
If the user doesn't have admin access to the workstation (whereby they could change the DNS server locally to your ISP's normal DNS, which presumably doesn't offer this sort of lookup-filtering) and they don't know the IP address(es) of the sites they want to access - obviously if the workstation doesn't have to go to a DNS to look the address up, it doesn't matter whether the DNS is blocking the lookup for you - this works well.
There's more information on www.opendns.com - as I said maybe it won't be appropriate for you, but if it is, it's pretty easy to set up and to administer.

  • How to whitelist a specific email address

We are trying out an ironport C350. I am looking for a way to whitelist a specific email address ex. [email protected] The whitlist appears to onlyl let you add a whole domain or i.p. range and not a specific address. Is there a way to do this or would I need to build some kind of incomming content filter by sender name?

A Content Filter would be the easiest but it is processed after the SBRS check.. Remember you can have a one content filter with multiple checks just make sure you use OR and not AND.
So if you want to make sure a specific email is not spammed check you would need to create a Message Filter (regX expression) but then every single inbound email would be checked againest this filter.
So the best way might be to create a whole new policy and place it before your normal or default policy. Have the policy only apply for sender = [email protected] You can turn off the spam check for this policy.

  • Trace for a specific IP address in SQL Profiler

    Hello,
I am looking for a way to trace from a specific ip address in sql profiler, Is there any filter that we can use to trace the database calls from a specific ip address.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply,  I have tried by selecting hostname from column filters and gave my system name in Like.
When i run application from localhost then it returns trace results, but on live domain it is not returning trace results, M i missing something in configuring filters?

  • SRW2024 - Forcing clients to use a specific IP address (based on port)

With the SRW2024 managed switch, is it possible to force a client computer connected to a port to use a specific IP address (for example 192.168.1.30) and if the client tries to configure any other address which is not 192.168.1.30, the traffic is dropped and they essentially cannot access any LAN or internet resources?
Basically what I would like to do is associate an IP address with every port on the switch.  It sounds like this would be possible using the IP based access control feature, however I wanted to confirm.
    Thank You

Well, I have contacted three different stores asking which hardware version they have in stock, (even providing instructions on how they can check)... Two of the three stores said they didn’t know what I was talking about and couldn’t check it for me, and the third one actually told me to contact Linksys and ask them... as if Linksys is supposed to know which hardware version their store carries!
So I guess I will have to ask once more if anyone here knows how long hardware version 1.2 (for srw2024) has been out?

  • Blocking a specific to address in mappings

    Hi,
I am trying to blocking sending access to a specific address on our front end mta using the mappings file.
The mappings file seems to work if I block on an entire domain, but a specific email address does not work. For example:
    SEND_ACCESS
tcp_*|*|*|[email protected] $NMail$ Blocked <--does not block the email
    BUT
    SEND_ACCESS
tcp_*|*|*|*@ourdomain.com $NMail$ Blocked <---works and blocks all email to the ourdomain.com domain.
Can I not go as fine as a specific email address?

Yes, you can go as far as a specific address, but you have to put in what the MTA is seeing at that point.
Note that imsimta test -rewrite will check your address-based _ACCESS
mapping tables and is quick and convenient to use. But to make really
effective use of this, you need to use all relevant switches (so that the
input makes sense) and enable enough debugging in the output so that you
can see what the probe turned out to be. If you have trouble figuring out
how to use all the test -rewrite switches appropriately to get a meaningful
test, then you will need to resort instead to enabling slave_debug on the
relevant incoming tcp_* channels (as well as, say, MM_DEBUG=3 in option.dat).
For imsimsimta test -rewrite, a starting point might be:
imsimta test -rewrite -from=[email protected] -debug=level=3 [email protected]
But depending upon your configuration, you might also need to use switches
such as -source_channel, -sender, -check_expansions, etc.

  • Clean up specific memory address

does anybody know if its possible to clean up a specific memory address using labview?

You're asking about it in a funny way.  There's no way you could determine the memory address at which the DLL is loaded, and even if you could, clearing that address would be more likely to crash your computer than unload the DLL.
Can you modify the VIs that call the DLL to accept the path to the DLL as an input?  That would be the best solution.  You could possibly create a separate executable that only handles calls to the DLL and allows access through VI Server; you could then exit that separate program any time you need to unload the DLL.  I did something similar once when I needed to access an external component that crashed regularly; by moving it to a separate program I was able to keep my main program running even when that component crashed.  It's not an ideal solution, though.  I suppose you could wrap the VIs that call the DLL into their own, LabVIEW-generated DLL, and call that DLL in your code instead, which would give you the ability to unload it with the empty path approach.

  • How do I force an app to use a specific IP address if I have multiple IPs?

    MacBook Pro
    Retina, Mid 2012
Processor  2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
    Memory  16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    Software  OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)
I sometimes run simultaneously on Wifi through a wireless router and also connected to another router with an ethernet cable.  I have applications that need to connect to different pieces of studio hardware, sometimes on one router, sometimes the other.  The problem I have is sometimes the application that I am using will not look for the hardware on both routers.  It checks the router that doesn't have the hardware and then never checks the other router.  It indicates that It can't find my hardware.  Is there any way through OS X to force or limit an application to check on a specific IP?
    Thanks in advance.

You can play with the 'route' command in an Applications -> Utilities -> Terminal session to specify which route a specific IP address should take.
    man 8 route
Google can most likely give you examples you can use to specify routes.
Routes must be setup after each reboot.

  • Sending UDP messages to different specific IP addresses

I am trying to communicate to three specific IP addresses and send messages to each using UDP from a front panel. I have three loops set up in my program, each loop communicates to each IP address, but it seems some loops take precedence over others. If I adjust one set of controls, it works, but other controls may or may not. It also may flip-flop into which set of controls work after long periods of delay but seems more or less intermittent. Is there a better way of doing this?

It may be that 10ms isn't enough of a timeout for the network socket to open?
Are you getting any errors out when it fails to send?
If I were you, I would remove the UDP Open and Close functions outside of the loops - I would open the connection outside of the loop and then close it at the end otherwise you are trying to reserve ports every time you change a value. You would also need to handle shutdown so the connection gets closed at the end.

  • Workflow using 'Specific Email Address' not trigerring emails

I have set a Workflow on Revenue object 'When a modified record is saved'. I would an email to be sent to the Revenue Owner when the record is modified. So I set up the action to trigger an email and in the 'To' field I selected 'Specific Email Address' and for its value I selected '[<Owner>]' from the 'fx' pop-up window.
Emails are not getting triggered when a Product Revenue record is modified. What am I doing wrong?
I have deliberately not added any Workflow conditions. Please advice.

Hi. You could try the following: JoinFieldValue('<User>',[<OwnerId>],'<EMailAddr>')
[<Owner>] is just the name of the record owner. You need to get the email address of the record owner.
    Good luck! Cheers, Damian.

  • Print every email containing a specific email address for a court case

I need to print a hard copy of every email I've sent or received that contains a specific email address for legal records. Is there a function that will make this less tedious than doing searches and printing them one by one?

I think you should be able to do that with a filter.
run a search and copy all the relevant emails into a local folder for the purpose.
Use a filter and set the criteria as subject does not 0contain something like &&&&&**# that is about as improbable as a subject as a Martian in your room and select the action to print.
Now run the filter on the appropriate folder and wait for your printer to catch up.
Note I have had issues in the past with Windows printing just not keeping up with hundreds of print requests in a few seconds, but that was printing to PDF from Excel

  • Sound for messages from a specific email address

I get a couple of hundred email messages a day. I have Mail checking every five minutes for messages. I obviously don't want Mail to bong me every five minutes that it's got new messages, but I would really like if it could make a sound when I get mail from a specific email address. Is this possible?
    Thanks.
    All the best,
    Tom

You may be able to do what you want through "Rules" which is in Mail/Preferences/Rules. Click on the _"Add Rules"_ button. From that window, you will be able to select specific email addresses that you want to add a specific sound to *(Perform the following actions)*.
Under the General tab, I gather you need to have "New Messages Sound" set to "None."
*"Play sounds for other mail actions"* should be checked.
