Specs of the Topseller T61p 6460D. ?

Hi,
Does anyone know the specs of this type T61p since the D. version doesn't exist on the topseller program catalog list. What is the difference with the 6460DVU, it's priced the same as the D. ( http://www.sparco.com/cgi-bin/wfind2?spn=A73Q506 ) and ( http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:xn73PNzCpLcJ:www.texas.gs.shi.com/QISV/home.asp%3Fmfgrid%3D1996... )
thanx guys!

i have one working in my X200.

• Ultrabase for x201 specs (specifically the Ultrabay)

Hello,
I recently replaced my T61p with a new x201. i bought the ultrabase along with it, thinking it a good way to do a quick charging and a good base for expansion with other drives, etc.
however, I'm looking to get a small boost in graphics power here, and, having exhuated options for the express card slot (for under ~500$, that is) I'm now wondering what kind of options are available for the ultrabay slim.
Now I'm not looking for gaming graphics, or anything particularly intense. Im looking to do some basic/intemediate 3d CAD work( specifically with Solidworks). so, if there is a simple solution or firmware update I could manage I would much prefer that.
In the absence of a prepackaged solution, what are the specs for the ultrabay? e.g., total bandwidth, what kind of overhead does it have, does it route to a PCIe 1x or equivalent Northbridge-connected Bus? or is it a purely propreitary format? I realise that it routes through that connector on the base of the PC, so I should perhaps be asking about that.
If I have to, I can buy a graphics expansion from lenovo, going straight to mobo or through the expresscard slot, but I was under the impression that the mobo on the x200 series was pretty strict no expansion, and that the Only PCIe slot was the 1x running to the ExpressCard 54.
Thanks in advance,
Thuringen

• !!! We Want Design-Specs Of The MEGA LED-displays !!!

Every once in a while someone opens a topic in which he/she askes for a possibility to control the LED display. Some have even sent e-mails to MSI support, only to receive no for an answer. I see no reason why MSI could not release more details about the LED panel, specifically because most of us feel like a bunch of Beta-testers. Hey, we don't even ask for a complete SDK-kit, I think that sufficient knowledge about (hardware)programming is available amongst the users of this forum to make direct use of the design specifications.
Therefore I would ask you to reply to this post to make a general statement towards MSI, and hopefully convince them of releasing the so-wanted data.
JaDi.

I think you know that I want this for a long time:
      sure I will support you
But unfortunatly I see just two solutions for this problems you won't like:
We program it
We all travel to the Taiwan headquarters and start a hunger strike on front of the main building.
I prefer 1
Second thing: I worte to MSI (germany) for the specs of the LCD and they transfered by to a technician/programmer in Taiwan. After his holiday he told me that he mustn't give any information about it out. This is again one more example of data protection that just blocks every kind of progress. At the moment I AM expecting an SDK. I won't spend my whole free time to do THEIR job - well and if I do - I'm sure I will charge. I've seen this trouble with the girder plugin which was very very little work compared with an LCD control - enough is enough
Why should anybody of us HELP MSI do make their products more attractive? That's what it's really all about.
Regards
      Nathan

ere are the specs on the Mac I need more power on.
Mac Tower
Processor  2 x 2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
Memory  6 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC
Graphics  NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 512 MB
Serial Number  H00354XF20G
Software  OS X 10.8.5 (12F45)
Harddive 640 GB
SATA Disk
(2) Harddrives 1 TB
SATA Disk
RAM 6 slots total  -- 6 are filled with 1GB
(3) UAD Quad cards installed
I use this computer stictly for audio recording.
Pro Tools 10.3.7
Interface Apollo 16
Pro Tools is curretnly not compatible with Maverick.   Also, I believe that Pro Tools 10 only allows 4GB ram to be utilized (not sure )
I know Pro Tools 11 allows more, but not sure how much more.  Also not sure if the upgrade to Pro Tools 11 I will have to purchase all new plug ins or if my existing ones will continue to work in it.
The platform changes from 32 bit to 64 with the upgrade to 11
If it is as simple as adding more ram, what mode-part #l would you recomeend.  Can the processor be upgraded also ?
The new tube like Macs are non compatible with UAD Cards.  Those cards a must my sessions

You can use Activity Monitor to check if apps run as 32 or 64 bit - simply look at the "Kind" column (you may need to select it under View -> Columns) and see if the app in question is listed as "Intel" i.e. 32 bit or as "Intel (64 bit)".
While in Activity Monitor you can also check if Pro Tools is close to the 3-4 GB limit of a 32 bit app - if you aren't you will probably not benefit from more RAM.
Your MacPro (it appears to be a Early 2009 model) should have come with a small booklet showing how to install RAM and what kind of RAM that you need. Any RAM that fulfills the requirements should work but your safest choice is probably to buy from a retailer/online store that supports Macs as they will usually know what kind of RAM you need for your mac model.
Upgrading the CPUs should be possible, but I haven't seen Apple document how to do this, so you will probably have to google around a bit to find instructions and CPU part numbers.
Your choice of CPUs will also be limited by the motherboard and CPU socket so you may be limited to faster version of your current CPU chip and some slightly newer versions.
Going from your current CPU to the fastest version included in the 2009 MacPros would be going from 2.26 GHz to 2.93 GHz. This would only give a modest 30% speed boost. Using newer and highly clocked CPUs might boost this somewhat more maybe to 50% ?

• What are the specs of the audio output in iMovie?

Using  iMovie on iPad2, what are the audio specs for the final movie output options (HD1080p, HD720p, etc.)?  Does my 16/44 WAV or ALAC audio remain as, or is it converted?

I don't have the new iPad, so I can't say if it saves up to 1080P.
But I would assume when you save to the camera roll it will save it as 1080 video.
On the iPhone 4, and older iPad it saves a 720 video, but that is the source it gets.
But I can answer about the audio.
IMovie iOS will encode the audio and video in the same format the device records.
So it will save the video as H264, and embed audio as AAC.
These are compressed formats.
You do lose some quality in the final output.
I find this is minimal, and well worth the loss for the ability to edit on the go.
Hope that helps.

• Named Parameters in Queries - the spec vs the Java EE 5 Tutorial

Hi,
I've been studying the topic about the named parameters in JPA and found one inconsistency between the spec and the Java EE 5 Tutorial. Could anyone lend me a helping hand understanding it?
The Java Persistence API spec (ejb-3_0-fr-spec-persistence.pdf) 3.6.3 "Named Parameters" at page 69 reads:
The use of named parameters applies to the Java Persistence query language, and is not defined for native queries.
whereas the Java EE 5 Tutorial in the section Named Parameters in Queries (http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/PersistenceIntro3.html#wp81563) of The EntityManager reads:
Named parameters are case-sensitive, and may be used by both dynamic and static queries.
I think that the reality is that every JPA provider supports named parameters in dynamic and static queries, but it's not fully supported by the spec (yet not forbidden).

Jacek Laskowski
http://www.jaceklaskowski.pl

Hi Jacek,
These are not conflicting statements. Named parameters apply to the Java Persistence
Query language only, not to native queries. There are two ways to specifiy
Java Persistence Query Language queries : dynamically and statically. You can
either pre-define the query string using @NamedQuery
static :
@NamedQuery(name="findPersonByName",
query="SELECT OBJECT(p) FROM Person p WHERE p.name LIKE :pName")
OR, pass the query string in at runtime using EntityManger.createQuery
dynamic :
em.createQuery("SELECT OBJECT(p) FROM Person p WHERE p.name LIKE :pName")
The dynamic approach allows you to construct portions of the query string at runtime.
My example doesn't do that but the point is that use of the createQuery()
API is considered the dynamic approach.
The crux of the Java EE 5 Tutorial statement you referenced is that named parameters apply to
both the static and dynamic use of Java Persistence Query Language queries.

• Approach for generating a report while having Func Specs of the Report

Hi Experts,
Please tell me what should be the approach for generating a report when having Func Specs of the Report.
Thnx
Sid

Hi,
1st you need to know the business need and related data.
1st know that according to the business need is there any standard SAP report is there or not.
try to know the Data base table and related fields required according to the need.
know the relations of the data base tables to map the data.
Accordingly prepare Technical spec's or go a head for coding.
Thanks.
If this helps you reward with points.

I had Apple wipe my computer clean and now it's at the "Welcome" page but I need to find out all the specs like RAM/Hardrive space how can I get that info without running the welcome intro?

if you know the year and CPU speed of this macbook - go to everymac.com and match your specs from the year it was released.
if you can see your serial number - go to the link below and enter the last 3 characters of your serial number and you'll get the specs.

• What are the full specs of the hard drives on Time Capsule?

Does anyone know the full specs of the "server grade" hard drives of a 4th gen 2TB time capsule? thanks
Dustin

It is just the standard WD green drive.
WD20EARS
It is "server grade" purely in Apple's mind.

Mind you I think you will find they do not stick to a single brand of drive. They might also be in the same trouble everyone else is in with HDD in short supply at the moment due to floods in Thailand.

not sure about the .5v difference
That would be for the house. And it should work with a .5V difference, but dont hold my word on it when your player gets hot. Also this is for a Zen Micro?

• What are the specs of the video the Playbook records?

Hello,
I'm going through the challenge of converting Playbook MP4 video files to edit them in Final Cut Pro. I was wondering if anyone could give me the full specs on the video the Playbook records. Is it 720 X 1280? Interlaced or progressive? What is the frame speed? Audio? Etc.?
Is there possibly some Blackberry site on the web that gives all this technical information?

Unfortunately no matter how I try to download Supported Media Types on BlackBerry Tablets I can't - either by clicking on your link or by putting that phrase into a search engine (it appears there but will also not download). Equally I'm not really interested at this time in kinds of media I could import into the Playbook.
Now, that is odd. I just downloaded it second time from the link you posted.
Anyway, the video is 720p, 1280 x 720.
Output to an HD television, with an HDMI cable has a resolution of 1080p (1920 x 1080).
Tablet screen resolution is 1024 x 600.
Supported video camera encoding on the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet
File format: MP4
Component:  Video
Code:  H.264
Notes:
480p at 30 frames per second produces a bit rate of 2.67 Mbps.
720p at 30 frames per second produces a bit rate of 8 Mbps.
1080p at 30 frames per second produces a bit rate of 16 Mbps.

I couldn't fin a complete spec for the latest Airport Extreme Base Station.   Where is it?    What size (L,W,H) is the latest base station?

Thanks.   I noticed you found it under the Mac tab. . Odd - When you go to the Store and select Airport Extreme Base Station under Mac Accessories, the Extreme Base Station page doesn't have a link to the Tech Specs. When you're on the Mac tab and select the base station, it brings up a more complete page.
When I searched for the spec under Support, the newest spec I found was the March 2009 base station.
