Split ALV interms of a field.
Hi ..
How can I split ALV into many fields , according to the a field which can be change dynamically .If necessay to define clearly , my purpose is to show other columns according to different bukrs . For example in selection screen bukrs is selected 1000 but also true datas have for 1100 , I want to open a split for 1100 or what ever else .
Thanks in advance.
Hi Yusuf
Use two different intenal tables,
1) for Bukrs
SELECT * FROM bsid INTO TABLE wt_bsid
WHERE bukrs EQ p_bukrs
AND kunnr IN s_kunnr
AND budat IN s_budat
AND bldat IN s_bldat
AND umskz EQ ' '
AND blart IN s_blart
AND waers IN s_waers.
<b>The below query will give you the rest of the data</b>
2) data other than p_bukrs
SELECT * FROM bsid INTO TABLE wt_bsid_others
WHERE bukrs NE p_bukrs
AND kunnr IN s_kunnr
AND budat IN s_budat
AND bldat IN s_bldat
AND umskz EQ ' '
AND blart IN s_blart
AND waers IN s_waers.
What you could do is use a splitter screen display two ALV grid.
Refer this for the code
Two ALV grid in same report output

ALV report using the field catalog
which is the quickest way to generate an ALV report using the field catalog merge. without needing to build the field catalog manually .
is it easier to create a structure and passe it in the field catalog merge . if yes can i have an example plzzzzhI
Supports the creation of the field catalog for the ALV function modules
based either on a structure or table defined in the ABAP Data
Dictionary, or a program-internal table.
The program-internal table must either be in a TOP Include or its
Include must be specified explicitly in the interface.
The variant based on a program-internal table should only be used for
rapid prototyping since the following restrictions apply:
o Performance is affected since the code of the table definition must
always be read and interpreted at runtime.
o Dictionary references are only considered if the keywords LIKE or
INCLUDE STRUCTURE (not TYPE) are used.
If the field catalog contains more than 90 fields, the first 90 fields
are output in the list by default whereas the remaining fields are only
available in the field selection.
If the field catalog is passed with values, they are merged with the
'automatically' found information.
Below is an example ABAP program which will populate a simple internal table(it_ekpo) with data and
display it using the basic ALV grid functionality(including column total). The example details the main
sections of coding required to implement the ALV grid functionality:
Data declaration
Data retrieval
Build fieldcatalog
Build layout setup

* For the purpose of this example i will build the fieldcatalog manualy

* Beware though, you need to ensure that all fields required are

Create a Procedural ALV Report with editable fields and save the changes
Hi,
I am new to ABAP. I have created a Procedural ALV Report with 3 fields. I want to make 2 fields editable. When executed, if the fields are modified, I want to save the changes. All this I want to do without using OO concepts. Please help . Also, I checked out the forum and also the examples

How to identify which ALV triggered event in split ALV
Hi all,
I'm using a split ALV like this:
CREATE OBJECT ob_custom
EXPORTING
container_name = 'CONTAINER'.
CREATE OBJECT ob_split1
EXPORTING
parent = ob_custom
orientation = cl_gui_easy_splitter_container=>orientation_vertical.
CREATE OBJECT ob_grid1
EXPORTING
i_parent = ob_split1->top_left_container.
CREATE OBJECT ob_grid2
EXPORTING
i_parent = ob_split1->bottom_right_container.
I want to trigger double_click event:
CREATE OBJECT ob_event.
SET HANDLER ob_event->handle_double_click FOR ob_grid1.
SET HANDLER ob_event->handle_double_click FOR ob_grid2.
The problem is I don't know how to identify in which ALV the user double_clicked.
Is there solution?
Thanks in advanceThe trick is (just to help others):
CLASS lcl_event_receiver1 DEFINITION.
ENDCLASS. "lcl_event_receiver DEFINITION
CLASS lcl_event_receiver1 IMPLEMENTATION.
ENDCLASS. "lcl_event_receiver IMPLEMENTATION
CLASS lcl_event_receiver2 DEFINITION.
ENDCLASS. "lcl_event_receiver DEFINITION
CLASS lcl_event_receiver2 IMPLEMENTATION.
ENDCLASS. "lcl_event_receiver IMPLEMENTATION
and for data declaration:
DATA: ob_event1 TYPE REF TO lcl_event_receiver1,
ob_event2 TYPE REF TO lcl_event_receiver2.
and then:
CREATE OBJECT ob_event1.
SET HANDLER ob_event1->handle_double_click FOR ob_grid1.
CREATE OBJECT ob_event2.
SET HANDLER ob_event1->handle_double_click FOR ob_grid2.
Thanks a lot kiran kumar!

A ALV with some editable fields which have dictionary search help
Hi all:
There is a requirement to implement an ALV with some editable fields which have dictionary search help, do you have any idea?
thank you very muchHi - yes it can be done.
1st in your object select the component SALV_WD_TABLE (ALV component) * do all the bindings of your component to your VIEW, Component usage interface, etc.
When you are declaring your context node attributes if you add a TYPE Data element that has a search help bind to the data element it will be accessible in your ALV or in the Attribute there's a INPUT HELP that option that you can add the search help there but you need to have your ALV input enable
for example:
data: lr_input_field Type Ref To cl_salv_wd_uie_input_field,
lt_column Type salv_wd_t_column_ref,
ls_colum Type salv_wd_s_column_ref,
lv_value Type Ref To cl_salv_wd_config_table,
l_col_name type string,
lr_cmp_usage Type Ref To if_wd_component_usage,
lo_interfacecontroller Type Ref To iwci_salv_wd_table.
lr_cmp_usage = wd_this->wd_cpuse_alv( ). *ALV is the name you enter for your component usage when declaring component SALV_WD_TABLE at the beginning.
if lr_cmp_usage->has_active_component( ) IS INITIAL.
lr_cmp_usage->create_component( ).
endif.
lo_interfacecontroller = wd_this->wd_cpifc_alv( ). *once again your ALV name
lv_value = lo_interfacecontroller->get_model( ).
lt_columns = lv_value->if_salv_wd_column_settings~get_columns( ).
Loop at lt_columns into ls_column.
l_col_name = ls_column-r_column->get_id( ).
create object lr_input_field
exporting
value_fieldname = l_col_name.
ls_column-r_column->set_cell_editor( value = lr_input_field ). *this will made all your columns input fields
endloop.
hope this help!

When I added it it's being displayed on the second, which means that the problem is with my container's & split's definition.

If you want to have top/middle/bottom control then create a single splitter container having a single column with three rows. Using the method GET_CONTAINER you retrieve the container instances for each control.
For a sample report have a look at ZUS_SDN_TWO_ALV_GRIDS in thread

ALV Report Displaying QUAN field different in systems
Hi Guys,
I have a field of type QUAN (quantity) on an ALV report that is displaying differently on the Devlopment and QA systems.
If I enter the value '5' in this field in Development and press enter, the value displays as '5.000'. If I enter the value in the QA field, however, the value displayes as '0.005'.
I have looked at domains and everything, but they seem simmilar.
Please advise fi there is something I have overlooked,
Thank you,
ChristiaanHi,
Check in system default parameter settings. It works based on system default parameter settings.
System => User Profile => Own Data
In *Defaults* tab check the *Decimal Notaion* field.

Add row to ALV grid highlighting mandatory fields
hello experts,
I am using grid object of cl_gui_alv_grid to display output table. Rows can be added to grid using Insert Row button of ALV toolbar (No custom button added here). The requirement is to highlight the mandatory input cells either with border or display them in different color.
This needs to be done immediatly after pressing the Insert row button, but before the row is displayed on the screen as ready for input ( NOT as a part of data validation on save or enter button).
I tried following method:
- I SET HANDLER event_receiver->handle_user_command FOR obj_grid.
- I am handling EVENT before_user_command OF cl_gui_alv_grid
- I thought of modifying CELLTAB of inserted row in this event to set display properties of required entry fields
However, the problem I am facing here is, Insert_Row button directly populates a row on display screen without triggering before_user_command event.
Is there any way I can highlight the cells of inserted row when it's populated on screen?Hi,
Indeed this event is not triggered for some standard function. Anyhow you could do some trick:
- hide standard insert row button
- add custom button with same icon on in
- then once you press it, you will be able to hanlde it in before_user_commnad event
If you want to stick to standard solution. maybe there is some flag which must be set with some SET.. or REGISTER... method. Unfortunatelly I am not aware of such switch.

Popup with generic ALV to display all fields of a structure
Hello WebDynpro Experts,
I have developed a WebDynpro application using an ALV control to display all the search results in a table.
The number of columns shown in this table is reduced by a default view, that is preset for all users.
In the SAP GUI there is a standard feature to show all the details of a record in a pop up window.
E.g. in WE02 you see a few fields in the ALV table, and when you click on the details button, you get a popup with all the fields of the selected line.
Is there something similar in the ALV table for WebDynpro?
I want to show all the fields of the selected structure in a generic table with two columns: Field label and value.
Can anybody help?
Regards,
JürgenHello Jurgen,
When you select a particular row in ALV table, you can get the data in that row by using ONLEADSELECT
method from used component(SALV_WD_TABLE).
And i Guess you can get all the field names of that structure from DD03L table and you can display them
in a generic table.
Regards,
Harry
