Splitting a PRI t1

I have a PRI T1 coming to my AS5400. The controller T1 1/0 has the normal setup "pri-group timeslots 1-24"
That creates a Voice port 1/0:0.
What I need are the commands to split those 23 channels in two to be able to have two Voice ports defined.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Gpulos explained that I can't do what I wanted because there is only one D channel so it is imposible to split the signaling of the channels.
Not what I would like to hear, but the truth. And you advised on the Adtran equipment and I have an Atlas 500 around here that I will try.
Regards,
Vilaro

  • Election problem after repeated split-brains with two nodes

    Hi
    I'm using a customized source based on BDB-5.1.19 (excxx_repquote)
with two site one - MASTER and the other SLAVE...
    nsite=2
    ack=quorum
    - the master is writing to quotedb at a rate of 10 txn per sec
    - the test consist to isolate the client from the master (split brain) and reconnect it after a random time include from 1sec to 10sec
the test run well about 10 times but at a moment the process slave receive DB_EVENT_REP_ELECTION_FAILED
and the master enter in election mode and never exit from the CLIENT mode. I must say that to freeze the client I decide to kill me (kill -9 my pid) when I receive such event...
here is the verbose log on the master...

    *      2) what host/port we wish to listen on for connections; and
    *      3) an optional list of other sites we should attempt to connect to.

    * -h home (required; h stands for home directory)
    * -l host:port (required; l stands for local)
    * -C or -M (optional; start up as client or master)
    * -r host:port (optional; r stands for remote; any number of these may be

    * -a all|quorum (optional; a stands for ack policy)
    * -b (optional; b stands for bulk)
    * -n nsites (optional; number of sites in replication group; defaults to 0
    *     to try to dynamically compute nsites)

  • Mixing T1s and PRIs on th same router

I have a Cisco 2851 voice bundle. Is it possible to take two VWIC 1MFT-T1 modules and use one for a voice PRI and one for a voice T1 line? I think I read that you couldn't do it with a 2MFT-T1 card but wasn't sure about splitting it up but still on the same router.... I also have a data T1 via a 1DSU-T1V2 on the box.
    Thank!

Having 2 voice circuits (i.e. 2 T1/PRIs on a VWIC-2MFT-T1 .. is that supported by Cisco? and what about having 1 T1/PRI for Voice and 1 T1 for Data on the same VWIC-2MFT-T1 card. I had a lot of clients running with both scenarios above and some of them are having clocking issues and Telco is saying the circuits are clean. Is that something to do with the internal clocking of the router in order to sync the DSPs?

  • Splitting AD - Basic questions

    Hi,
I'm involved in a project where we intend to split to an existing AD forest (due to divestiture). Lets say there is a forest called Mycompany.com with one domain called mycompany.local. The goal is to split the Active Directory into 2 separate entities,
with both environments having a copy of the domain after being separated.
The execution idea (from what I understand) is that the existing forest will be "copied", a new forest created with the clone and a cleanup performed on both forests, as well as the new domain DC seizing the FSMO roles (I
know this is not the supported method from MS, but this is the approach we are going with nonetheless). Also, the two domains will be forever isolated so that they can never talk to each other, the aim being the two domains can co-exist without
    knowing about each other
Now, in the above scenario I have some very basic questions I was hoping someone can help answer (I'm an AD novice when it comes to this type of stuff!)
    1) To create a new domain, would it be advisable to clone an existing DC in mycompany.com and use that clone to setup a new domain (mycompany.pri) in a new environment, or install a new DC in the current domain, let it replicate and get all the data, take
that offline and instantiate a new environment using this DC?
    2) Why does the new DC need to seize the roles from the original one? Wouldn't that mean the original DC no longer has any FSMO roles causing the original AD environment to break?
Apologies if the above questions are stupid, trying to wrap my head around this stuff for the first time :)

You need to create a new forest for this company. Then migrate all resources over using a migration tool.

  • PTax ded Twice incase of WPBP SPLIT (Mid month Transfer)

    Hi Friends:
In SAP, whenever an Employee transfers from one state to another then system deducts P Tax Twice in that Payroll Period and this is a standard behaviour. (Due to two Splits and two regions)
Ex: 1- 15 in MH and 16 to 30 in AP then P tax of MH is deducted for 1-15 days GROSS and P Tax of AP deducted for GROSS on 16 to 30.
Now, i want to deduct only the P Tax for the Last split record in that Payroll Period. That is P tax for Extire GROSS to be deducted based on AP Region slab.
Has anyone faced this scenario/ issue. Any Exits/ BADI's available to achieve this?
    regards,
    Srikanth

    Hi
If you want to differ from the standard calculation then you can use the BADI

  • IP Phone SSL VPN and Split tunneling

    Hi Team,
I went throught the following document which is very useful:
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9124
The only things i'm not sure about split-tunneling point:
Group-policy must not be configured with split tunnel or split exclude.  Only tunnel all is the supported tunneling policy
I could see many implementation when they used split-tunneling, like one of my customer:
    group-policy GroupPolicy1 internal
    group-policy GroupPolicy1 attributes
banner value This system is only for Authorized users.
    dns-server value 10.64.10.13 10.64.10.14
    vpn-tunnel-protocol ssl-client
    split-tunnel-policy tunnelspecified
    split-tunnel-network-list value split-tunnel
    default-domain value prod.mobily.lan
    address-pools value SSLClientPool
    webvpn
      anyconnect keep-installer installed
      anyconnect ssl rekey time 30
      anyconnect ssl rekey method ssl
      anyconnect ask none default anyconnect
    username manager-max password XTEsn4mfYvPwC5af encrypted privilege 15
    username manager-max attributes
    vpn-group-policy GroupPolicy1
    tunnel-group PhoneVPN type remote-access
    tunnel-group PhoneVPN general-attributes
    address-pool SSLClientPool
    authentication-server-group AD
    default-group-policy GroupPolicy1
    tunnel-group PhoneVPN webvpn-attributes
    group-url https://84.23.107.10 enable
ip local pool SSLClientPool 10.200.18.1-10.200.18.254 mask 255.255.254.0
    access-list split-tunnel remark split-tunnel network list
    access-list split-tunnel standard permit 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0
It is working for them w/o any issue.
    My question would be
    - is the limitation about split-tunneling still valid? If yes, why it is not recommended?
    Thanks!
    Eva

    Hi,
If you're not using certificates in client authentication then the SSL handshake will complete before the user is requested to authenticate with username/password.  If this authentication request fails you will see the SSL session terminated immediately following this failure (as in the logs you provided).  Notice the 5 seconds between the SSL session establishment and termination, this is most likely when the user is being authenticated against the aaa server.  If the phone is failing authentication against an external aaa-server you'll want to investigate the logs on that server to determine the root cause of the failure.  The ASA can also provide confirmation of the authentication request/reject with the command 'show aaa-server'.  If you want to see what's going on at an authentication protocol level you can enable several debugs including "debug aaa authentication|common|internal' and protocol specific debugs such as 'debug radius user|session|all' or 'debug ldap'.

  • Hi, I am having trouble MacBook Air crashing since Yosemite upgrade. I ran an Etresoft check but I don't know what it means... my system runs slowly and crashes. I have to force shutdown. Sometimes screen is black for a split second b/w webmail pages

    Hello,
I am having trouble with my MacBook Air 13 inch June 2012 MacBook Air5, 2 4GB RAM  details below in Etresoft report. I recently upgraded to Yosemite and am having system trouble. My computer crashes and I have to force quit to restart. When using webmail there is a black screen for a split second between pages. This did not happen before. I am worried that it is not running properly and perhaps I need to revert to the previous operating system. I only have a MacBook Air and no need to share images between a tablet or phone so I did not need the new photo sharing software of Yosemite. I wonder if I don't have enough RAM to run it? I did not run time machine before I made the upgrade as I did not realise the significance of an upgrade as not very Mac literate. Any advice on whether my system is in danger... most appreciated! I am writing a book and making a back up but this machine is my lifeline and my work is conducted through it. It ran perfectly before... the Yosemite upgrade has perhaps highlighted some problems and it has unnerved me!
Thanks ever so much for your advice!
    Lillibet

When you have kernel panics, the pertinent information is in the panic report.
These instructions must be carried out as an administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ System Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of reports. A panic report has a name that begins with "Kernel" and ends in ".panic". Select the most recent one. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a panic, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.

  • How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?

You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account.  To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.  (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud.  The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.)  When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone.  Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom).  Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge.  This will upload the data to the new account.  You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa).

  • How can I display & split the audio & video from the same digitized clip?

I digitized a scene into iMovie that I edited on a professional system which I don't have access to anymore. The whole scene is 1 clip. Now I see a few tweaks that I want to make, so I was hoping to do them in iMovie.
I want to "pull up" the audio in one section - meaning I want to take cut about 20 frames of audio from the end of a shot, and then move all the other audio up to fill the hole. To compensate for the missing 20 frames, I'll cut video off the head of the next shot. Some call this prelapping. Some call it an L-cut. Some call it asymmetrical trimming. Either way, I can't figure out how to do it in iMovie.
My clip appears in the timeline as one track - a single track that contains the video and 2 audio tracks. How can I display the audio that's tied to the video on its own track? Then I think I could split audio & video wherever I wanted and trim things up - but I can't figure out how to do it.
Am I asking too much of this software?
BTW, I never see the option to "Split audio clip at playhead". I'm not displaying clip volume or waveforms. Choosing to display waveforms doesn't show me anything. Maybe iMovie thinks I'd only want to see waveforms of audio that isn't tied to my video-and-audio clips?
Thanks in advance for any help...

    Jordon,
"Am I asking too much of this software?"
    No, you're not.
You first want to select your clip(s) and choose Advanced>Extract Audio.
This will copy the audio from the video clip and place it on one of the two separate audio tracks while lowering the audio level to zero in the original video track.
You can now edit and move the audio independently of the video.
With the audio clip selected, you'll find you now have access to Edit>Split Selected Audio Clip at Playhead.

Step 2: Do a Single Click on the text "Non Assigned Cost Centers"
Step 3: Press Shift +F6 (Or Click on the Assign Button, next to the Pencil icon)

  • We have one apple id for all out iphones and was wondering if there was a way to split our account out to 4 seperate accounts

trying to find out if there is a way for me to split out my itunes account so we can each have our own log in?

You can create new accounts for each of you for future purchases, but all the content you have purchased through your current ID is permanently locked to that ID and cannot be assigned to another.

  • How can I split my itunes account?

We have had an itunes account for both of my teenage boys.  Now that one is off to college and the other is into different music we find it very complicated to have 2 different accounts.  Is there any way to keep items they purchased on this account but split it into 2 accounts?

You can create a new account (e.g. via this page), but you can't currently copy or transfer content from one account to another - so anything that was bought or downloaded via your account will remain tied to your account

  • How can I split a large library without days of tedious work???

I've been reading other discussions for a few hours but feel my situation warrents a new discussion to see if anyone can help.
I've been using iPhoto for many years. I've been using a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo 2007 era iMac the whole time. I'm now using iPhoto v8.1.2. Running OSX 10.6.8.
My iPhoto library is now quite large with about 40,000 photos and about 175 G in total size. I have put a lot of time into organizing the photos. Everything is religiously backed up.
Over the past year or so the performance of iPhoto in terms of speed has been slowly declining. It takes a long time to open, but the most cumbersome is the spinning beach ball when I "commit" to enhancements to a photo I've made (contrast, saturation, sharpness etc). Recently that beach ball could actually take 3-5 minutes. I find this intolerable.
So I started researching this to see if others have the problem. As best I can make out after a few hours of research is that my library is too large and my computer too old. I don't want to replace my computer becuase of iPhoto so I started researching the idea of splitting my library into smaller libraries.
I found several 3rd party programs (iPhoto Buddy, iPhoto Library Manager) that made it seem they may be able to help me easily split my library into several libraries. Unfortunately neither actually does this but instead tells you how you need to do that manually.
The methods to split your library manually they suggest are horrendously tedious for a 40,000 photo library with over 1,300 carefully constructed Events.
And this brings me to where I stand today. I copy my entire library to an external hard drive, open the copied library and what I WANT to do is prune it to say 1/10 of the size (say two years of my photos). (Realize I'll have to do this process of copying my entire library 10 times, and pruning each time.)
But then I find out that iPhoto totally chokes when you try to trash more than "80-100" photos at a time! Morever, I come to find out that emptying the trash of even 80 photos takes 3-5 minutes!
Although I appreciate the help and advice, perhaps you can understand my frustration with Apple. I'm literally an indentured servant to iPhoto if I want to preserve all the work I've done on my library. I'd switch to another program if it would preserve all my events but I can not find one that does.
    1. The performance of their software declines with no warning to the point where it can't be used unless you're unemployed and have nothing else to do.
    2. You look for a fix and find you have to split your library.
    3. When you try to split your library you find it will takes days and days of tedious work to complete.
So that is my story. That is why I'm so angry with Apple.
Have I missed anything or am I doomed to this dreary work?
Thank you for any help and guidance you can provide.

My next move would be to rebuild with Library Manager:
    note the caveats:
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
Phoshare will still work for an older version of iPhoto like yours. The problems it reports are with iPhoto 11, and that has the same ability built-in, so making it redundant.
I'm not sure about videos, an email to either developer should answer that one for you.
    Regards
    TD

  • Can you split an iTunes account into two separate iTunes accounts?

My son and I have shared my iTunes account since he was in junior high. We have both added to it over the years, amassing a huge library.  My son has now left home and joined the military.  At this point we want separate accounts - so we can pay separately for our purchases, back up to our own Clouds, etc.  Can he take his purchased music from my library and move it to his own, new account?  This would leave me with only the music I have purchased, which is fine with me.  The library is currently on both of our computers.

You can't split accounts nor transfer content from one account to another account - content will remain tied to the account that downloaded it.
For new purchases he can have his own account, and he can have that and your shared existing account authorised on the computer's iTunes that he uses (Store > Authorise This Computer menu option).
If he uses iTunes Match, automatic downloads or redownloads an account's past purchases then he may tie that computer (or iOS device) to that account for 90 days : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627 - so he wouldn't be able to do any of those three things on a different account until the 90 days have completed.

Anyone know if there is any plugin (or app) for Finder that split list view in 2 independent columns, so I could drag and drop files (and folders) between folders more easily?
Path Finder have this feature, but I wish to keep in finder (its free and follows the "less is more" idea).

It's what I've been doing... I just thought that an plugin like these wouldn't be so hard to find! But that's alright!
