Spool for alv

Hi All,
'A spool for GRID type ALV cannot be generated.'
Going by this,  does it mean that when a grid type ALV is submitted for a spool, it wud give just a ALV list display?
OR, just that the spool will not take a grid type ALV at all.

    Yes we can create it. Execute the report in background using SM36 and then u can view the output using SM35 or the spool request number and tcode SP01.

  • Create Spool after ALV

    hi
       I need to create spool after ALV display. I used this fn module RSPO_OPEN_SPOOLREQUEST and pass only the destination parameter - 'LP01'.
       Spool erquest is created but no pages.. Pages 0.. Pls advise if there is any other parameter I need to fill for this fn module or any other way to achieve this.

  • Help needed for ALV report

    Hi,
    i need to add coloums for the existing report which picks from G/L account.
    in this report I need to add some more columns from COSP-KSTAR, which shows the cost element details from G/L account.
    I need to restrict that cost element number according to the company code.
    Plz see this and let me know the things.
    1. I need to add FISCAL YEAR(COEP-GJAHR) in selection screen.
    2. I need to add column: Employee Cost (CSKS-KOSTL)
    3. add a column Staff Welfare (COSP-KSTAR) this is to restrict for the cost element 3000200 from G/L account
    4. add a column Recruitment restrict for the cost element(COSP-KSTAR) 3100040 from G/L account
    5. add a column Travels (suppressing some cost elements(COSP-KSTAR) and putting into Travels)
    6. add a column Subcontracts restrict for the cost element (COSP-KSTAR)3100360 from G/L account
    7. add a column Communication suppressing some cost elements and putting into Communication)
    8. add a column Rent restrict for the cost element (COSP-KSTAR)3100055 from G/L account
    9. add a column Back end Cost restrict for the cost element (COSP-KSTAR)3100065 from G/L account
    i can hardcode these cost elements.
    i did according to some of our sdn friends guidence but it is going to dump.

  • Unable to generate spool for two tables in report output

    Hi,
    I created report with two custom containers displaying two tables in output. When I execute the report in background spool is created only for one table in top custom container.
    What should be done to generate spool for both the tables in two different custom containers.

    I am using Function modules SSF_open and ssf_close for creating single spool for multiple smartforms but when i try to run the program in background then the job is getting cancelled...........and if i run the program in foreground then the program is running fine giving single spool for multiple forms........
    so the problem is that job should run in background if i run it in background instead job is getting cancelled.
    please tell me the solution how can i get the single spool for and multiple smartforms as well as the job should run if i am doing so.

    The heading are in the table pt_fcat - you don't seem to be passing that in form....

    which I guessing in in one of the includes?
    Saying that the extract pof code does not show where you are calling form it_out_alv_fieldcat_before ...which populates the headings...

  • How to spool for a file inside a procedure

    Hi,
    I have a Procedure. Now that procedure writes some values into a file in /tmp directory (in Unix). Now there is a server program that reads this file does some manipulations and writest the output to a particular fiel(this file not the same as input file) in the same directory. My PL/SQL code or procedure has to keep looking for this file (output file generated by server program). How can I spool for a file in PL/SQL? Is it possible? Could you please put some light on this as of how to do it?

  • F.01 Summary Report for ALV grid

    Hi all,
    We have defined our financial statement version (FSV). We have been running tests in transaction F.01, when we choose ALV Tree output the transaction works perfectly.
    However, if we choose ALV grid output and then choose "1" in the Summary Report field (highest summary level, only main points of Balance sheet P&L statement should be displayed) the output is not summarized at all.
    In short, no matter what number we put in the Summary Report field we always get the same output.
    What needs to be done in order to be able to use this summarization control?
    Any help will be appreciated.

    I just want to know if it is worthy to devote time to it or just use classic list or ALV tree when appropiate.

    Hi Experts,
    I need to implement F4 help for ALV table field.
    I my scenario, I am using two views. If we click on any record in fist view then it displays the popup window (second view) with relevant record details.
    Here one of the columns having fieldnames corresponding values (old values), for correcting old values I have created new value editable column, we can enter new value for old value then we can save it. Till this functionality is ok.
    Then I have included OVS help for new value field. Here I need to get f4 help for newvalue field relevant to fieldname.
    For example: user clicks on f4 in cell (new value) then if corresponding fieldname is u2018WERKSu2019 then it shows the plant values
    Here I can get fieldname, domain name  and value table using method set_attribute ().
    Same concept I have implemented in ALV using F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST. It is working fine
    Here I have little bit confusion. Please advise me how to implement in OVS.

  • Create spool for background jobs which uses submit statement

    Hi Gurus,
                 I have a quick question regarding the backgroud jobs. When we run a program in the background , it should create a spool for us, but, the problem comes when I am running a program in the background, its not creating the spool. This program uses SUBMIT statement. This program collects the data and it will submit to the other program and then retuen. In this case, its not creating a spool. Its very important for us to look at the spool for this program. Does anybody cam across this kind of problem? I need ur inputs.
