SPOOL GETTING OVERWRITTEN

Hi
I have a problem in background job. My report runs every week and the spool is expected to stay for 4 days.
But after 1 day it gets overwritten by a spool of some other job but the spool number remains the ssame.
I have set the job correctly with parameters like
output request - send to sap spooler
spool retensioon = 4 days
delete after printing - NO
new spool request - yes
do not append print jobs - yes
Please help.

SAp has strategy od Spool number reuse. The spool numbers for which actual spools are deleted from TSP01 are reassigned automatically by SAP. So Ensure that your spools are not getting deleted by some other job.

My Que : For example lets say first it selects all the records for Sales Org 1000. Next when you select the records for the Sales Org 2000 the earlier records are getting overwritten.
Please let me know your valuable inputs.

But it is giving error saying " Field "APPENDING" is unknown. It is neither in one of the specified tables nor defined by a "DATA" statement. "

Deployed Files getting overwritten every time when I do a server restart

I have deployed a web application in weblogic server. For testing purpose, instead of placing the changed file inside the war our team will change the files directly in the deployed area. Once when we restart the application server, the new files are getting overwritten with the old one. Is there any setting with which we can stop the weblogic server deploying the old war file again?

I am stopping and restarting the weblogic server through startManagedWeblogic.sh script. I am not using the weblogic console. Some of our application developers directly drag and drop the Units in the Deployed Area for testing Purpose. Even with nostage mode the war file in the upload folder is getting redeployed at the time of server restart.

IDoc-Inbound: Partner Number gets overwritten in User Exit

we have problem that XI won't accept IDoc from sending R/3 because the Partner number gets overwritten via User Exit.
Instead of Partner PSICLNT010 the partner gets overwritten to SAPPSI. So what do i have to do to make XI accaept this IDoc?!
We have system PSICLNT010 configured in SLD with logical system name PSICLNT010.
Because of the problem i changed it to SAPPSI.
I also refreshed the adapter specific identifiers and did a complete cache refesh - but with no success.
We still get error "No service for system SAPPSI, client 010 in ID"
Can somebody help! What elso do i have to change?!

This problem can be solved : do these steps ,
AT your XI System : goto Idx1, create port with name : SAPPSI
In the port use your RFC Destination name SAME as used in port PSICLNT010.
Now goto idx2
upload matadata for your idoc Message in port SAPPSI.
send idoc from R/3, XI system will pick that idoc.
your problem is solved now

On deployment of one model it's getting overwritten on other existing model

Hi all,
I have created 3 models with respect to the requirement from my client side.
Let the 3 models be x,y,z...
Since all the 3 models are of same structure only difference being from query side, i have reused the same model (x) for the other two(y,z) and everything was working fine till yesterday as every model was displaying it's own data and changes implemented. But suddenly today any model i deploy among this 3 is getting overwritten on other 2 leaving behind the same format and data.
What could be the possible reason behind this? and where should i make appropriate measures, so that every model displays it's own respective data and structure.

I have tried with different iView names for all the 3 models but it isn't working.
Let me put a clear picture of what the problem exactly is....
I have 3 models (x,y,z). On depolyment of any one model in VC, all the three iViews in the portal displays the same layout and same content as if the iview names are different but is an alias link of the deployed one.
This case is recursive i.e., on depolyment of any one model it entirely overwrites the link of other two leading to display the entirely same strucutre, contents, output, table size etc.,
Any input on this problem will be highly appreciated...

[SOLVED] Clipboard gets overwritten on simple selection

Hello!
I'm facing a very annoying bug: I'm used to use a clipboard manager. I started using parcellite. After some time of usage, suddenly the behavior of the clipboard changes. Every time I select some text in e.g. Eclipse, geany, Firefox, ... the clipboard content gets overwritten. When I now press Ctrl+V the previously selected text gets inserted. When I copy selected text with Ctrl+C, double click on text I want to replace, press Ctrl+V, nothing happens because it uses the selected text to insert which is, in this case, the same.
Currently I'm trying xfce4-clipman-plugin, but the same bug applies here too. It's not buggy when I freshly started Openbox, the bug occures after minutes of operation.
Anybody an idea?

I found the solution!
I started each application I'm currently using one by one and tested it. It seems that TigerVNC is causing this bug. I activated the option "Send primary selection & cut buffer as clipboard" (I think this is the english equivalent to the german option "Primäre Auswahl und Ausschneidepuffer als Zwischenablage senden"). As soon as I deactivated this option, everything works fine!

HT2729 How do i sync new photos in my iPAD without the earlier photos getting overwritten by the new ones

I am trying to sync photos from my laptop to iPAD using iTunes.
The iPAD has iOS 5.1.1.
When i sync photos it's ok, but again when i try to sync photos from another folder in my laptop, the previous photos in my iPAD gets overwritten.
Can anyone tell me how do i sync new photos in my iPAD using iTunes, keeping the old photos intact

So what if i do this and in the future i have got another folder of photos and i want to sync it in my iPAD, do i have to start all over again and resync everything again along with the new folder ?

Conf file added to /etc/apache2/sites get overwritten

So I need to make some modification and additions to virtual host to support svn. The module are running and and I added my needed changes to a <Location "/svn"> block. Everything works great. Until I make any other changes is the Server Admin to the Sites section. It overwrites my custom changes to my 0001any_443svn.mydomain.com.conf. So I tried creating an all new conf file based on the auto generated one. Then removed the auto generated file. Again, it changed my custom file, and renamed it in the 0000_any sequence. Errr.
Is there some other location I can place this custom virtual host file that will not get overwritten by Server Admin?

Don't add your svn virtual host file to /etc/apache2/sites, add it to /etc/apache2, and edit the httpd.conf file to include that virtual host file directly.

CRM order pricing is gets overwritten

Dear SDN team,
I need your help on the below CRM pricing issue
We see that the Gross value in CRM order gets determined correctly in CRM system during order creation . Once the order flows into SAP R/3 system the Pricing is getting re-determined as per standard.
But when the same order flows to back to SAP CRM 5.0 system , the Gross value gets overwritten and it becomes ZERO.
Why is this happening ??
So far , we have downloaded all Pricing procedure , Pricing Routines from SAP R/3 system . But still the Order Gross value pricing gets overwritten .
Are we missing some setup in CRM system ??

Dear dinesh,
Check that whether you are using any customized pricing routine in ECC.
If you r using any customized routines in ECC for pricing you have to replicate that logic in java userexit in CRM. Otherwise the order will throw the error.

FTP User's root directory gets overwritten

When i touch the settings for "Other" in any ftp share, all root directories for ftp users get overwritten so they point to that specific share.
I have to dis- and reenable read and write permissions for the desired share to point the user back to the directory.
Also i had to add /usr/bin/false to /etc/shells to get ftp access to work at all according to this discussion:

Any idea what causes this misbehaviour and how to fix it?

Which OS X or OS X Server version?
Across the OS X Server versions I can recall using, the setting for the ftp server directory has been system-wide.
Services aren't usually logging in, thus don't have a shell established, so I'm not sure why the shell change was necessary; interactive users should be able to log in via ftp.
In general, sftp is usually preferable to ftp, and for many and varied reasons.

Attributes of Time Dep. Master data getting overwritten

I've one Time dependent master data 0PERSON, which gets data from Flat file and R3.
We first load from flat file and then from R3.
Now consider this:
Say for Person ID '123', flat file has "address" attribute as ABC. I load it and it gets loaded successfully.
But after R3 load for same Person ID i.e. '123', "address" attribute gets overwritten with R3 values e.g XYZ. Even though the time fields are non-overlapping.
I.e. I've now two records in 0PERSON for different time periods (as expected), but with same "address" values. I could not understand why R3 data is overwriting flat file data?
Could anyone help me in this.

I think we missed one point here, attributes themselves can be time-dependent or time-independent.. even though the master data characteristic itself can be time-dependent.
What this means, is that for same Person ID.. time-dependent attributes will have different values (i.e. in our case by Flat file or R3).. but time-independent attributes will get overwritten by the last load.. whether R3 or Flat file.
And this is what happening in my case.. my last load is from R3, which is overwriting Flat file data.. and too only for time-independent attributes !!
Correct me if my analysis is wrong.

RDS 2012 R2 HA - CustomRdpProperty gets overwritten by sync

I am implementing an RDS 2012 R2 Farm at a customer site. The customer is using different DNS-names internally and externally so I have implemented a Custom RDP Property via PowerShell on the Farm.
Set-RDSessionCollectionConfiguration -CollectionName "Collection" -CustomRdpProperty "use redirection server name:i:1 `n alternate full address:s:broker.external.com"
I can see, the property is applied and synced to the other broker servers - perfect!
I have verified via PowerShell and registry and I have tested that the 'redirection' actually Works - fantastic!
The problem is, that when the farm is synchronized Again, my custom property gets overwritten/deleted.
What am I missing? Permissions?
Is the Custom Property supposed to get written to the SQL database that is used for Broker high availability?
Hopefully someone can help med with this one :-).

Yes, they do get the files from the same source. If using RemoteApp and Desktop Connections it stores a cached copy of the .rdp files in the user's profile and updates them periodically, so it is possible some of them could be using a rdp
file with the old information. For RDWeb a fresh copy is downloaded each time the page is refreshed.
To keep things consistent I would recommend you undo the custom rdp property you made. To do this you can run the command on
both brokers with a just a space or newline (`n) for the customrdpproperty parameter, like this:
Set-RDSessionCollectionConfiguration -CollectionName "collectionname" -CustomRdpProperty " "

A setting in visual administrator gets overwritten when a developer publish

Due to problems with logon groups a SAP consultant told me to uncheck "Add Application Cookie" and "Add Session Cookie" in Visual Administrator -> Cluster -> Server -> Services -> Web Container -> sap.com/home~[my app] -> View -> Main -> "Cookie Configuration". This works fine and solves that problem but instead I get a new one. Every time a developer publish something my setting gets overwritten and I need to uncheck it again, save and then restart the j2ee engine again to make it work.
I can not get in touch with this consultant again (he don't answer any email) and not anyone on my company knows how to set it permanent so I hope any of you know how to set this permanently so I don't have to do this every time a developer does something new.
I use NW 7.0 with patchlevel 109044.44 on HP-UX with IA64. I have the same problem on every server.

We have solved this problem thanks to an employee at my company. The problem was that we didnt have any file called web-j2ee-engine.xml so we created this and set a couple of options in the developers program and then it worked.

Name of applicant gets overwritten by existing staff name

The issue is that the name of the Applicant is getting overwritten by an existing staff name. Only the name is getting changed, all other data is that of the applicant. This is happening after the PA48 was sent and before the new staff Id was created. Can anybody please suggest if there is any way by which we can determine exactly how this is happening. Thank you.
