Spool list in background

Hii everybody,
I am not able to generate the background spool list for this report. When executed in background, the job shows successful execution, but when I see spool status, it shows waiting and the spool has incomplete list. The bottom part of the spool list has all vertical lines... Any guesses what might be the problem? I am able to see the output when report ran in foreground. It is an ALV grid report.
PLese reply me fast as it is urgent.

  • Error in Sending spool list in background !!!

    Hello Gurus,
I am trying to create a distribution list and as a requirement have to send the spool list out of the batch job to different users.
I have created in SPAD a device type POST2 and specified the spool server.
In Access method I have put HOst spool Access method as M.
The error I am getting is  Message class PO and ID 780 which is Error sending data.
The SMTP in Scot Tcode is configured with Output formats Sapscript as PDF, Abap list as PDF .
In SP01 the requests have the status of Incorrect. sample shown below.

  • Background job cann't open the Spool list, the error as below.

    Hi, experts,
My background job 'Z1RM0063' couldn't open the spool list, the error as below:
' The selected section of the spool request 20,004
    in SYSTME SID is empty.'
Who could tell me this is why ?
Thank you very much in advance,
    B.R

    Hi Michael,
Its very difficult to tell... seems to be a custom job, what program is running?.. Does the spool that the job is trying to read still exists?...
Can you please post more details?

  • Spool List output display 255 char when the rpt is run in Background

    Hi Friends,
I tried executing a program in Background.. The report output has more than 64 columns ( more than 255 char ) ..
Iam using "REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY" for displaying the list.
    My Problem:
    1. The spool list is truncated after 255 characters when i run in background.
    2. Th output in Spool List is coming in 2 rows ... not very clear ... becoz of that the grid lines are not getting displayed.
    3. I ve not used any Standard - line size for dislaying ..
    4. In foreground i am able to display all the 64 columns... Y not in Background......
    5. My Printer setting is ..X_255 .... only ...
    Requirement:
    1. What should i do to increase the spool list display to more than 255 characters
    2. Or how to save the background run reports output to an excel sheet as how we 'll take the from the foreground.
    Expecting your answers,
    Thanks in Advance...
    Cheers,
    R.Kripa .........
    Enjoy ABAPing ..........
    new upcoming Abaper ....

    Hello Kripa,
You need to perform two actions.
    1. set an appropriate format for the printer you are using. As explained from the previous messages you go to: SPAD -> output devives (type the printer you are using) -> from the menu ..-> goto -> device type -> formats. In there create a new format like Z_65_650
or Z_65_xxxx where xxxx could be up to 1065. This is the length of your report.
When you give your report in background, do not forget to choose the new format you created.
    2. After the spool request is created, you take its number and use it ar a parameter in the following report.
Please copy and paste it in a new program, maybe called ZRSPOSHOWSPOOLLIST.
    It should work then.

  • Spool  List not printing in Background

    Hi,
When i try to execute the report in background in development system i can able to see the spool list, whereas when i try to execute the same report in testimg server(may be with more data) i can not see the spool list but the job is in finish status.
Please can i know the reason for the same.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sudheer.

    Hi!
This may be because you started the program with the option, not to create new spool request, or to delete the spool request immediately.
When you run your program in background, check the printer options also.
    Regards
    Tamá

  • Background Job Processing/Spool List Recipient

  • Email multiple spools from background job - SM36 using Spool List recipient

I create a background job using Spool List Recipient to email me the reports. The program that I scheduled to run creates 2 spools. When the spools are sent via email, only the last spool is sent.
Please advise on how I can get the 2 spools sent via email.

i would not use the Spool List recipient from Job and use the function RSPO_SPOOLJOB_TO_OFFICE in your Program instead.
    tell me if it helps.
    Regards,
    Laurent

  • Background Job  & Spool List Recipient not receiving all pages

I have a program that is run during our nightly cycle and is scheduled in SM36 with a spool list recipient designated for the report to be delivered to the user's SAP Inbox.  The job completes successfully and creates a report that is over 100 pages.  The user is only receiving 10 pages in their SAP Inbox.  Is this a Basis system setting?  Can we changes this on a per user basis?
    Thanks,
    Holly

    Hi Holly,
    it's sound like the <b>SAP-Note: 329537</b>
    Symptom
If a batch job creates a spool and sends it to a recipients, only the first 1000 lines are sent.
    Other terms
    SAPOffice, spool list recipient
    Reason and Prerequisites
For performance reasons, the output sent to SAPOffice is limited to 1000 lines.
    Solution
If you wish to send spools longer than 1000 lines in Releases > 4.6B, proceeed as follows:
    1. Apply the support packages or correction instructions mentioned in this note.
    2. Create the following two entries in table TSPOPTIONS with transaction SE16:
option: BTC_FIRSTLINE value: < desired value, probably 1>
                  option: BTC_LASTLINE  value: < desired value, e.g. 99999>
    1. Call function module RSPO_OPTION_FLUSH with value NAME = '*'.
Please note that this change may impact performance, depending on the selected line interval.
In Releases < 4.6C or if you are not able to apply the support packages or corrections, you can accomplish this with a minor code change.
In program RSBTCRTE, change the parameter sent to the function module
    RSPO_SPOOLJOB_TO_OFFICE as follows:
    call function 'RSPO_SPOOLJOB_TO_OFFICE'
         exporting
          rqident              =
    spo_list_id
             first_line
    = 1
    last_line            =
    1000            "<<<  Delete
            last_line            =
    99999           "<<<  Insert
            receiver
    = recipient_object
             mail_title
    = document_data-obj_descr

  • Report in background without spool list generation

    Hi everyone!
I want to run a standard report RMMRP000 in backgroun, only I don't want it to generate a spool list. Fiddling with the output options, I was only able to make it generate a summarized list, instead of the mode datailed one that is currently being printed.
    My question is this:
Is it possible, when we create the job, to disable spool list generation, even if the associated report always returns a list?
    Best Regards,
    Luís Andrade.

one thing you could try: wirte a small program which SUBMITS RMMRP000 with the addition EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY. I guess you need to replicate the selection screen of RMMRP000 into your own program, but you could avoid the spool this way.

  • Spool list column width

    Hi,
when i am running ALV in background i see in the spool list there is one column 'sales document' in which the last digit is not appearing. If the required number is 12345678, it is appearing it as 1234567..

    Hello Raj,
When you execute the report in backgroud, the output is classical report and which need the line size. If not defined in report then the default is taken as 80 chars.
Please check the line size defined in your program, if not pls define.
    REPORT <report> LINE-SIZE <width> LINE-COUNT <height> NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING.
If the line size is more than 255 chars, then there is OSS note for it. (you can try note 530147)
    Hope this helps you.
    Regards,
    Sachinkumar Mehta

  • Spool list not available in SM37

    HI,
i'm facing a error "spool list not avaiable" when i execute a background job and the job status is in finished state, but when i click the spool button i'm facing this error. I tried the sap note 1372936 and 1174127 but both notes are in cannot be implemented status.I tried hard to search a solution, but couldn't find. Please help if anyone knows the solution.

    Hello,
What release and SP level your SAP system has ?
    Thanks

  • Bag ground job 'Spool List Recipient'

    hi guys,
there is any configuration for that background job <b>spool list recipient</b>,
if there please replay me it was argent issue with my end
    Reg,
    Hariharan

    Hi Holly,
    it's sound like the <b>SAP-Note: 329537</b>
    Symptom
If a batch job creates a spool and sends it to a recipients, only the first 1000 lines are sent.
    Other terms
    SAPOffice, spool list recipient
    Reason and Prerequisites
For performance reasons, the output sent to SAPOffice is limited to 1000 lines.
    Solution
If you wish to send spools longer than 1000 lines in Releases > 4.6B, proceeed as follows:
    1. Apply the support packages or correction instructions mentioned in this note.
    2. Create the following two entries in table TSPOPTIONS with transaction SE16:
option: BTC_FIRSTLINE value: < desired value, probably 1>
                  option: BTC_LASTLINE  value: < desired value, e.g. 99999>
    1. Call function module RSPO_OPTION_FLUSH with value NAME = '*'.
Please note that this change may impact performance, depending on the selected line interval.
In Releases < 4.6C or if you are not able to apply the support packages or corrections, you can accomplish this with a minor code change.
In program RSBTCRTE, change the parameter sent to the function module
    RSPO_SPOOLJOB_TO_OFFICE as follows:
    call function 'RSPO_SPOOLJOB_TO_OFFICE'
         exporting
          rqident              =
    spo_list_id
             first_line
    = 1
    last_line            =
    1000            "<<<  Delete
            last_line            =
    99999           "<<<  Insert
            receiver
    = recipient_object
             mail_title
    = document_data-obj_descr
