SPRUNCALCACCOUNT able to execute without Currency dimension?
Hi,
I have an application, which doesn't have currency dimension. I'd like to use SPRUNCALCACCOUNT for copying values to cash flow statement.
According to the example written in the Administration Guide, I need to put currency parameter in addition to application set, category etc.

Is the currency dimension a must? I tried running it without putting currency and it doesn't work. Is there any workaround?

I would be very surprised if it works without a currency-type dimension. It doesn't look like anyone on the forum here has experience with this; you may want to confirm with SAP support.
I would guess that the stored proc behind the scenes is looking up the name of the currency-type dimension, and then dropping that "USD" parameter into a SQL query's where clause in something like:
... select someStuff from mbrMyCurrencyTypeDimensionName where ID = 'USD'
If you're feeling adventurous, you might try to change one of your existing dimensions to a currency-type dimension, if that's possible. It would only work if the calculation makes sense by passing a single member of that chosen dimension into the SP.
A few versions back, I'd recommend playing with the system_constants.lgl file in the adminapp\application folder, to trick the BPC SQL logic in this way. The following would tell the system that the currency-type dimension is now named Product:
*FUNCTION CURRENCYDIM=Product
However, I think that these days, the stored procs all take their dimension-type metadata from tblDimension in the database, and not that system constants file.
Otherwise, your only other choice may be to add another dimension to the app -- even though it only has one member, LC. Not ideal, but maybe it's still worthwhile if your calcs can be done using the Account Transformation rules.

Hi all, I have a requirement where I need to find all intersections of children of currency dimensions and currentmembers of all other dimension wherever data exists for them.
Its a ASO cube with and version is 11.1.2.2.
If I try to write the formula in a the below way to test, I get an error that 'Currenttuple can only be used with a named set'. Thanks for you reply and sorry for my delayed response. Actually there is one more requirement in this, which makes it a bit complicated. There are another set of members in the Measure dim called FXDirrate and FXIndrate. The logic is :
1. If data exists for the combination of a Currency.children, FXDirrate and current member of all other dims
then convert the value for Currency.children by diving by FXDirrate
2. If data exists for the combination of a Currency.children, FXIndrate and current member of all other dims
then convert the value for Currency.children by multiplying by FXIndrate
3. Then value of the calculated members will be sum(all FXDirrate converted + all FXIndrate)
Currency does roll up but as the data for its children can either be in Dirrate or Indrate and the sum needs to be taken after the conversion, there I am not able to proceed as I am not able to check the existence of data in individual children of currency as Isempty isn't working on a set . Thanks a lot for your help. -
Run a LabView 2012 executable without installing RTE.
I have a thumbdrive with a LabView executable that is ready to run. I want to be able to run this executable on different PC's without having to install the Run Time Engine on each machine. What dll do I need to have in the same directories as the executable so I can run the executable without actually installing the Run Time Engine. Thanks in advance.

That said, the answer to your actual question is "lvrt.dll" and some of the others in the same folder (I don't remember offhand which folder it was. Look for it yourself). Note that there are some caveats:
The last time I did something like this was around LV 7.0. I didn't check in later versions, but I seem to recall someone who usually knows what he's talking about saying that it doesn't work at some point after 8.0.
Even if it does still work, this will only support things which are in those DLLs and don't have any other dependencies. That means things like VISA, DAQmx, other drivers and possibly even some of the display elements which are based on MESA for rendering or on other external resources.
It obviously won't be supported in any way.

I'm able to load Gen2 members, but unable to load Gen3 members which is the child of Gen2 members.
Whether there is any limit for currency dimension to be upload only till Gen2 ???

I'm currently working on the currency translation, and right now I got a PDF on how to do it.
The issue faced right now is that the Currency Dimension is not created by default on BPC, and I need to know if BPC creates it automatically on some process or if I can create it manually without affecting a defined process.

Generally Apshell (System delivered Appset) will have RptCurrency Dimension which is a
Currency type dimension. It may or may not be directly useful to your scenario, depends on the
requirement please change accordingly. When you work on your scenario, you will copy APSHELL
appset and work so please work / change in the created / copied Appset.
Currency translation will work alongwith RATE Application, so in Rate Application you will find another Currency
type Dimension i.e., InputCurency Dimension. Wherein you will have all the currencies which you are
dealing with.

Need help regarding Business rule scenario "How to populate data in "Target Form (plantype2)" from "Source Form(plantype1)" for a particular product/currency dimension combination selected in form1"
Scenario 1) : I have data for Product(Computer)/Currency(USD) dimension combination in Source Form
When i open Target Form and then select a Product(Computer)/Currency(USD) combination and then right click on form to invoke a Business rule to get data for this same product/currency combination from Source Form.
Scenario 2) : If there isnt any data in Source Form for product(Computer)/Currency(USD) combination, then the data for product(computer)/Currency(Default Currency) to be populated into Target Form.
The members in Currency Dimension (Shared Dimension) are USD & Default Currency.
Can anyone please help.

You can either write a Business Rule / Calculation script with @XREF function and also you can check condition if there is data in USD then populate USD else "Default currency"
If you want that data in source to be available in target, then you can use @XWRITE in a rule from source cube to push the data to Target.

Not able to un-merge a dimension in webi report
Hello,
I'm facing an issue in webi reports. That is I'm not able to un-merge a dimension. I'm using BO 4.0 sp 6
I have 6 data providers in my webi report all of those 6 have sales order number in common. The report refreshes fine but a new requirement came in where I had to add another query (data provider) which also has the sales order number.
Now in the report I need to merge the new query's sales order number with the existing merged sales order number. When I un-merge the existing sales order number; webi just does not respond.
Any ideas? thanks in advance.

1- Removed Sales Order Object from all the existing queries. (the variables that were using the sales orders broke)
2- Added a new data provider query in webi; then added sales order objects in all the data providers.
3- Merged the Sales Order objects in the webi report.
4- fixed all the variables with calculations requiring sales order object.
5- Dragged the Sales Order object to the report body.
I hope to see an option in future where we don't have to do all this just to add a new data provider query to an existing report that uses merged dimensions. Because its just a waste of time re-doing things.
There should be an option to merge new dimensions to the existing merged dimensions in the webi report.

Is it possible to display key figures without currency unit in BEx reports? For example; Material Costs 1000 EUR
should be shown as 1000. Currency unit EUR and also scaling factor (*1000 EUR) does not interest us.
When we use display options in query properties, we just see an option of displaying key figures with/without scaling factors, which does not solve our problem.

Thunderbird simply does not support the sending of mail from Third party applications. only the creation. This is a security feature that stops a virus spamming your address book.

From windows server 2012 and windows server 2008, Opened port 20,21,22 in firewall bidirectionally. After Establishing connection by passing credentials 230 log in successful.
ftp commands executing getting as " 425 Use Port or PASV first" , "500 Illegal PORT command".
But I could able to do windows client machines like windows 7 and windows 8 with same environment
Note : Firewall ports are opened. have tested by making firewall down to avoid filters.

Did you mean even you disable or open the related port the FTP issue still exist? I found this errors most time occur when we use the ISA firewall and the FTP configured passive
mode, if you have ISA firewall please refer the following KB to fix this issue.
