Spry menu-change links to carry through all 16 pages?

I am sure this is easy to do. I just don't know where to begin.
I have a 16 page website "northeastohioweddingexperts.com. The side menu is the same on all 16 pages. Its a spry menu. What is the easies way to change the links so it changes through all 16 pages? I have been doing it the hard way by make a change to the spry menu, and opening each HTML page and pasting the change in that area. I am sure this can be all changed simply in CSS. So if there is one document that can be altered, or on CSS file that can be changed THIS would be helpful.
Please point me in the right direction.

HTML = content. CSS = styles. I'm sorry to say that changes to your CSS file won't have any global effect on the links in your HTML code.
If you had built your site around a DW Template or Server-Side Includes, making site wide changes to menus would be much easier. See links below for details:

Spry menu broken links

Hi,
i am working on a web site in which drop down menu bar is required.
I inserted the spry menu and linked all the tabs to their respective pages.the linked pages are in the same folder as the index file.path being-
c:/..doccuments/site name/xyz.html
now when i preview any page in my browser(chrome,IE,opera),the links work on the first click.if i try to navigete to the same page again,it shows a message 'No webpage was found for the web address: file:///C:/.../Documents/pagename.html'
now when i check again,dreamweaver shows the paths to be of the form 'c:/..my doccuments/site name/xyz.html'
but the browser is trying to search for the pages in folder 'Doccuments' and not 'Doccuments/sitename'
any help would be great.

Spry Menu Bar link colors not consistent

I have a horizontal Spry menu bar set up with 4 items in it.
The first item is the Home link and does not have a submenu, but
the other 3 items do. What I want is when you roll over the main 4
items the text link color will be purple (#583399). When an item
has a submenu the rollover text link on the submenu links will be
green (#89b11a).
My current code almost works, but the problem I am having is
that the Home link
without the submenu changes to a green color instead of
purple like the other 3 main links. If I add a test submenu to the
Home link then it turns purple like the other links. How can I get
the Home link to change to purple like the others without having a
submenu attached to it?

Spry menu changes - How to:

First. I'm not a developer or programmer. I'm a hacker (dabble unknowingly by trial and errororor).
I looked deeply for how to change font characteristics and found nothing helpful except comments that it can't be done or BEWARE! Horse puckey! Don't believe that all you can change is font, background and color.
I needed to change the font size and width of the bars in my Spry menu. This is how I did it and the details are for others to trial and error it themselves.
I created a page with a Spry menu (horizontal for me) and populated it to three levels. The first time you use Spry it will copy the necessary files into your directory and create a .css file you can see in that directory. You can open up the Spry menu and see the .css parameters, which isn't helpful at all. You can, also, open up the .css file as a window pane, which is what you need.
Next, open up your browser and use it to open the file you are using for test purposes (the .html, not the .css file). Now you can get an idea of what your file will look like in a browser on the Internet. Change back to the Dreamweaver window. Make sure you have the "SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css" (or vertical).
Go to the menu . . . Windows > CSS Style and make sure the CSS Styles tab with ALL selected is showing. If the tab only shows the tree view, drag from the bottom slider bar upward to show both the tree view and the Properties view. Now you're ready.
Do this one step at a time ready to undo any changes you don't like.
Set the window pane to the SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css page. Go down the list of Rules in the CSS Panel until you find one that you think might change what you want.
Make the SINGLE change.
Save the change.
Change to the browser and click on Refresh. The changes will show up. Make sure you test each level.
Go back to the Dreamweaver .css pane and either change it back or try the next one.
You will find you can add properties not noted in other discussion or instructions.
I wanted to change both font size and button width. I found that in the Rules I made these changes that worked just fine.
ul.MenuBarHorizontal - I changed the font size from 100% to 60% and got a smaller font universally in the menu.
ul.MenuBarHorizontal ul li - I changed the width from 8.2 ems to 16 ems and had wider menu bars universally.
Experiment, try it, be adventurous! Just do it carefully and be ready to undo unwanted changes.

Other than additional specific changes, this was NOT a question for further discussion. It was simply a solution for others to find.

Spry Menu - Changing width of menu blocks to fill 100% of sidebar

I have set up Spry menu, see here. http://www.singlesonly.co.uk and then personalised it. All was easy until i attempted to make the menu bar fit the entire width of the side bar, or width of sidebar less the margin. Having spent considerable time reading instructions I can't seem to find an easy way of doing this and can't seem to find an article or specific set of instructions that deals directly with this requirement. The instructions i read don't seem to do what you would expect them to do. All help appreciated. Amber

Thanks for the pointers (and your time), all of which i have tried, i see my question was not clear and i'm sure im missing something obvious, so i'll re-phrase.
Basically I can not move the the entire menu at all. I can do just about everything else, such as make it wider/smaller/ etc but not set the initial position. can you point me to a tutorial or Dreamweaver instructions as i can't seem to find what i need to read up on.
Example of current problem, sort of sorted but only be a visual work around.

My problem is simply the intial positioning of the entire menu, i want it as close to the left of my web page as possible. To be exact... within my left #sidebar1, i want to center the spry menu, to align with the other content on that menu and then make the spry menu as wide as is possible, to fill as much of that sidebar1 as possible, perhaps even all of it. Unfortunately i can't see in the spry instructions how to move a spry menu further left (or further right) on the page. This is possibly about my lack of indepth CSS skills (which i am working on), although i did expect Spry to have an easy way to set the initial position. Again i am sure i am missing something obvious! Like the part of my brain which deals with CSS positioning.

Spry Menu Bars - making them fit across a page properly

Hi,
I've been making a website for my work, check it out at www.bto-ltd.co.nz and I'm struggling with the spry menu bar. I want it to fit across the page on one line, and so I've pretty much managed to do that in some browsers. In Google Chrome, it looks perfect. However, in some browsers, (IE and others) one of the buttons wraps down to the next line. How do I fix that?
Also, depending on which browser is used, the sub menus are either vertical or horizontal. I'd rather they were vertical, can I fix it to this?

It does that because you are trying to make a bigger element fit into a smaller element,so you need to go into the
SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css
And reducing your font. change it from 100% to lets say1em, if that still overflows, notch down to .9em

Change link font size through theme editor

Is it possible to change font size of link element using theme editor? I can't find corresponding parameter. Is it inherited from somewhere else?

If you want to change any font size of the text on Top level Navigation (top level tabs) or MasterHead(Masthead) then you can use theme editor.
But it wont work application level. For example if you want change the font size of a text in the a iView or any application, then you should look the possibility of changing that corresponding application.

Spry Menu Panel Hidden by another element on page.

That's my page.
The drop-down menu gets hidden by the footer region.
Refresh the page because some of the bigger random images push the footer low enough for the menu to display.
Any idea how I can stop that happening?

Hi Martin,
The problem is happening because your wrapper div's property are set as following:
#wrapper {
    width: 900px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    overflow:hidden;
Because overflow is hidden the amount by which page need to scroll for a long sub menu is also hidden.
If you set it as following:
#wrapper {
    width: 900px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    overflow:auto;
Then your menu will be visible but an unwanted scroll will come up.
Either you have to think of a better position for this menu (or change the design) so that it is able to take its height:
Position your menu at the top inside the white region as following and see if you like it that way.

One music track running through all pages on iWeb

Any tips on how to have one music track playing all the way through a site?
Obviously I can get a track running constantly on one page and starting automatically on opening, but struggling to know how to get the same effect across the whole site.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You can do it with an HTML snippet and IFrame code like I did in this test site: Helper Site. The darker area is the page with the music and the HTML snippet which embeds the other pages into the first page.

Keeping main menu widget highlighted when you have all pages below this open. Its only staying highlighted for the main page

I have a main menu widget that says 'Services' then below that a group of pages thats relate to this - I want the word 'Services' to stay highlighted when Im on each page but it only is for the main one.

This is the default behavior as the one which is active will only be highlighted. Menu item is linked with page url , so if the page url is used in browser then active state will highlight that menu item.

Including Spry Menu Bar

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am new with
the spry menu bar feature in Dreamweaver. I want to include a spry
menu bar that I created into all pages. I believe that you have to
use an include statement and some other things but I am not exactly

You could use server side includes to add it in your page.
Make a main file for your Spry menu.
Than in your pages do the following:
Click on Insert > Server Side Includes, choose the file
you need, make sure the path is relative to Site Root and insert
it.

Spry Menu Bar Editing Links PLEASE HELP

Ok I am a new user and this is my first site and I have a question regarding creating links in the spry menu bar.
I created my home page with a spry menu bar and I have begun creating pages to link to my home page.
My question is when I navigate to another page from my home page my spry menu bar on the second page does not have the links set for the spry menu. Do I have to input all the links again on each additional page or is there an easier way to copy from my home page.
I am creating an online store and my homepage menu bar has over thirty links to products pages. Each page has the original banner and spry menu bar from my home page but the links arent set on any of the products pages. Do I have to go into each one of my thirty pages and create the thirty links to the other pages? and if that is the case what if I want to change or add additional links to the home page for new products launching? Do I have to update the links and spry menu bar on all of the additional pages as well?
If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Any answer would be helpful even if its not the one I want.

If you're not using DW Templates to spawn site pages or Server-Side Includes for sitewide menus, you definitely must edit each menu on each page and upload to your server. Tedious.
Server-Side Includes are a huge time saver. Learn to use them.

Vertical Spry Menu-IE alters positioning. How do I fix this? Works in all other browsers correctly.

I've recently uploaded a new website and am having a glitch with internet explorer with the vertical spry menu. It appears perfectly in all other browsers. I had added css rules to move up some of the longer submenus so they would all appear on the screen without needing to scroll down on the main page to view them. In internet explorer, it positions the top menu item, but the rest of the list does not follow in suit. Any ideas? This is super frustrating! Thanks!

I see now and it's really a little crazy, because the menus are there, just not where they should be.
I still need to investigate the matter thoroughly a little more closely, because I never saw it till now. Too bad that Gramps has not seen the thread, I'm convinced he will do the trick immediately! What if you would write a letter to him?By the way, did you make a try it with the original version of "SpryMenuBarVertical.css".

How do I get banner & Spry Menu Bar to appear on every page?

I am a new user of Dreamweaver CS6 an a relatively new user to website development in general.
I just followed along through Davide Powers "Creating your first website" tutorial series and found it to be very helpful. I made it through all six parts and managed to get the Check Magazine sample website up and running. I now want to use what I learned to creat my own site, and I am stuck already.
The tutorial does a great job of explaining how to setup a Spry Menu Bar to use for navigation. The tutorial, however, only shows how to put this Spry Menu Bar on the main index.html page. For my actual site, I would like my navigation bar (and my banner) to appear on every one of my pages.
Can anyone here tell me where I can find instructions on the best way to do this?
My navigation requirements are very simple. I just want a common banner with navigation buttons to appear at the top of every one of my pages. The Spry Menu Bar that was created in the tutorial would work great for me assuming I can find a relatively simple way to get it (along with my banner) to appear at the top of every one of my pages.
If it is very complicated to get it to appear on every page (or would require a large time investment in learning advanced techniques), then I would consider passing on the Spry Menu Bar and trying to setup my navigation in a simpler (if more old-fashioned) way.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

If a small, 4-5 page site, make a prototype page with all your columns, headers, footers, menus, etc... and go to File > SaveAs index.html, and then File > SaveAs > page1.html, and then File > SaveAs page2.html, etc...
Or you can save your prototype page as a Dreamweaver Template (.dwt file). Add editable regions for stuff that will change from page to page. Everything outside editable regions is common to all site pages. Then use your Template to spawn site pages. File > New > Page from Template, index.html, page1.html, page2.html, etc.... DW Templates are nice site management tool. But before you use them, read all you can about them in F1 Help as they can be a little tricky to master.
Last but not least, look at Server-Side Includes. They're a huge time saving feature. I use them on every site I build.
