SpryMenuBar issue in IE9

Dear all,
First of all, I would like to state, that I am a beginner (started building my first website, for my own company, a few weeks ago only), and I tried to avoid asking any questions until I got at least a bit of a hang of it.
The website I am building is located here: http://test.madu-kapu.com
It only consits of the homepage so far, and in the Live View of Dreamweaver it looks perfect. In the simple deisgn view it is also displayed correct. I understand of course, that this is not equal to the browsers though.
I have three main issues now, but I will open separate discussions for them as recommended.
Here I would like to discuss the issue with the SpryMenuBar Horizontal.
I would like it to have no background, and the menu buttons should be a bit away from eachother. (margin-left:5px; )
The font color is white, while hover is grey. In the live preview it works fine, in GoogleChrome also, but in IE9, the whole menu bar becomes a big white stripe.
Is this a known issue, or are my settings wrong? (for example in the CSS for the menu bar)
As this is my first post, I don't know what exactly I should provide, probably the CSS code, though it is quite long.
If it is required, I will of course copy it to here.
I am using Dreamweaver CS5.5 trial version (my pre-order for CS6 is scheduled for today, if there are no delays).
Any ideas, advices or hints are welcome. I tried to find a solution for this online, but couldn't find any hints on what might be the cause of this.
Regards,
Peter Madudak

Thank you for your feedback.
I am intrigued what the meaning of the highlighted parts is
<script data-rocketsrc="SpryAssets/SpryMenuBar.js" type="text/rocketscript"></script>

  • Horizontal menu submenu display issue in IE9

I inserted a Spry horizontal menu into a page in Dreamweaver CS5 then edited it to display the way I need it to look. It looks great in FF, Safari, Chrome and Opera. In IE9 the drop down submenu items have too much (vertical) space between them. This is probably because I added a positioning element of "top: 20px" to make the menu center (vertically) correctly over the background image. I have tried any number of alternatives and this version of the CSS is just perfect except in IE.  I have searched for days for similar issues but haven't found anything to help.
    The page is http://myparlour.net/DashboardDDS /collections.html
    The site CSS is http://myparlour.net/DashboardDDS/dashboard_dds.css
The Spry menu CSS is http://myparlour.net/DashboardDDS/SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css
I would appreciate any help in resolving this problem.

  • Browser Compatibility Issue with IE9 and IE 10

    Hi Everybody,
I have a page which contains pageviewer Webpart, which redirects to the other page the problem is in IE 8 this works good but comes to IE9 and IE 10 the page is not displaying on the page but link is working good. Can any one please give me suggestions on
    this?
    Thanks and Regards,
    kadaruSastry

    Hi kadarusastry,
This issue is about the browser compatibility.
Please add your SharePoint site into compatibility view in IE 9 or IE 10.
Or, use IE 8 mode in browser mode for IE 9 or IE 10.
About how to add site into compatibility view, you can refer to the link:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2536204
Note: the settings for IE 9 and IE 10 are same.

  • JQuery Cycle issue with IE9

I'm in the process of reworking an old website and wanting to insert a JQuery Cycle slide show from the CS6 DW widget browser.  The slide show looks beautiful on all browsers except, you guessed it, Internet Explorer.
Here's the deal, when loaded on IE9 the images overlap the text in the adjacent div.  I have the same issue on another site whereby the images drop over the div located below.  Again, this only happens on IE9, all other browsers work beautifully.  Yes, adding padding to the widget div is a temp fix, but then creates a new issue by adding too much blank space on all the agreeable browsers.
    Suggestions?
    Many thanks.
    Here's the site: http://www.thethinman1934.com/thethinman.html

If that temp fix helps, then you can apply it to IE9 only via an IE Conditional Comment.

  • AdobeReaderX pdf issues in IE9. Possibly related to ACROPDF.DLL  Addon

I have installed and uninstalled and reinstalled AdobeReaderX and still can not open pdf's in IE9. Only thing i see that may be causing the issue is my addon ACROPDF.DLL is not listed in LOADED ADDONS. How can I resolve this issue?

Could you please let me know the following details:
    1. What is the version of Adobe Reader being used on your system? Is it 10.1.3? If not, please download and install the same from http://get.adobe.com/reader/
    2. Are you using the 64 bit version of IE? If so, please switch to the 32 bit version of IE since the Adobe PDF plugin is not compatible with the 64 bit IE.
    3. If you indeed have version 10.1.3 and are using the 32 bit version of IE , please let me know the exact bvehavior seen when you try and launch a PDF in the browser. Do you get an error or a blank page or something else.
    4. Is the following checkbox checked under the Reader Preferences (Edit > Preferences > Internet)

  • Tcode iview issue in IE9.

    Hi Friends,
We are created Tcode iviews in portal, But it is working fine in IE6,7 & 8. But if we try to open same tcode iview in IE9 , it is asking to save or open tx.sapssd file.
Please let me know how to open this file or we need to set any settings for this in IE9?
We are created Tcode iview as a SAP GUI as a Window.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Murali

    Hi Murali,
The problem is described in SAP note 1592282 .
In the note the solution is described as below - we used option 2 and that worked.
    Br Jan
    1. You can import a registry file with the following content:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/vnd.sap-gui]
    "CLSID"="{83658045-6571-3232-7082-797884697869}"
    [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.sapssd]
    @="Sapfront.App"
    "Content Type"="application/vnd.sap-gui"
    2. Or you can update your SAP GUI to a new Patch level so that the MIME
type registration will be done by SAP GUI Installation automatically.
The patch to contain the correction is patchlevel 7 of SAP GUI for
Windows 7.20. Please install this patch or a newer one (SAP GUI
    patches are always cumulative).

    Hi Dan,
Yes, as Media Web Part is a Silverlight control, you need to install Silverlight at client machine.
For more information, you can have a look at the thread:

I must have looked at it in another browser, sorry.
Had another look at it and indeed it may become an issue in IE9, but because IE9 is still in beta, anything can change.

  • Questions on IE9 and iTunes

Dowloaded latest iTunes using IE9.  Went through the procedure normally but iTunes would not open. Uninstalled iTunes then reinstalled with same result.  Any issues with IE9 that could be causing this?

iTunes FOR MAC can connect to most MP3 players BUT iTUnes for WINDOWS is almost soly for the ipod.
Songs bought from the iTunes store are in the protected AAC format and not a MP3 format, mostly only ipods play this format. You need to burn the songs you have bought to a CD, then reimport them in the MP3 format.
If you don't have an ipod, your likly better off using Windows Media player and the stores it offers like Napster and the upcoming URGE store from MTV or something.
What exact error message/code do you get when you try to burn the songs in iTUnes? Are you using iTunes 6 or 7?

When i go to youtube, it says I need to install flash player. I dont have any problem viewing videos in firefox. I am just having issues with IE9. Please help. I have been trying to deal with it for more than 24 hrs now. Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks

Hi, I would first remove it from Programs & Features and then Reboot.
Then open just one window and go to this site and be sure to use the one for the 64bit. Just follow the instructions. I'm sure you'll need to reboot when finished.

  • Help with site issues in IE 9 and Firefox

I have a personal website home page that looks fine in IE 8 and below, it also looks fine in the latest version of Chrome.  However, it has issues with IE9 and the last couple versions of Firefox.  In IE9 and Firefox, there are thin black borders around my tables and cells that I don't want to be there.  In Firefox,  in addition to the black borders , there is a shadowed bevel around my table that I dont want there.  A little more info--there are rollover images placed in each of the rows of my table.  You can view the home page at:

I am not an expert Dreamweaver or HTML person so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Iframe not scrolling to content below set height in IE9

Because iframe height of 100% didn't render correctly (in any browsers) I chose a set height (600px) in which to display my clients' property listings within one of their site pages.
All works reasonably all tested browsers (double scroll bars in Chrome and Safari -- div and iframe -- despite that the div isn't set to have such, but I can likely fix that); IE9, though, is nonfunctional:  In IE9 I get a Y scrollbar, as defined, however it does not scroll past content that fits into 600 pixel iframe height.  That is, is does not scroll to show the rest of the iframe page.
I have tried separately defining x and y scrollers as well as simply calling for scrolling in general; no luck.
I have been searching for hours for a fix, and have tried every combination of style coding to the iframe itself as well as the overall style sheet (to the div).  I also read the soure for the page rendered in IE9, and the style coding was as I'd written it.
It has to be a simple fix, or others would be having this IE9 issue, too, right?
Have even added <meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=8"> to the header; didn't change anything.
Anyone know what is going on -- and how to fix it?
I apologize for how jumbled both the CSS and source code is for this site.  If I were recreating the site today, I could do a much cleaner job.
    Here are a few tries:
    http://cbm1.com/retail_property_listings/costar.html
    http://cbm1.com/retail_property_listings/costar3.html
This version (more info in the CSS, less inline) gets rid of the double scrollers in Safari and Chrome (while still working in FF) but still the same doesn't-scroll-beyond-the-600px-iframe-pane-height issue in IE9.  Tried moving the meta directive toward IE8 to immediately above the body tag as well as first meta tag on the page; neither resulted in any IE9 rendering change:
    http://cbm1.com/retail_property_listings/costar4.html
Happy to simply paste the inline + CSS coding alone in this window, if that's easier for anyone.

  • Issues with certificates with multiple CNs

    Hi,
I manage my own internal Windows Certificate Authority which I use to sign certificate requests for internal web servers. I have an odd issue.
If I create a CSR from a server that has multiple CNs (e.g. 10.1.1.25, *.mydomain.local, www.mydomain.local) FF 9 and FF 10 both complain about the certificate "The connection is not trusted". It would appear FF is only using one of the CNs to validate the site in question. i.e. if I visit the site via 10.1.1.25 I get the warning. If I use www.mydomain.local I do not receive the warning.
Further, I do not have this issue with IE9. Is there something broken with FF and sites that use multiple CNs in their SSL cert? Or perhaps am I doing something wrong when generating the CSR (not that I see how, as it's a standard template I use, and it works flawlessly with IE9 browsers)?

  • Live video publishing freezes in IE9

Hello all. I have been unable to find any information regarding this issue and was wondering if anyone out there can point me toward either a solution, or information stating that Microsoft or Adobe are aware of the issue and working on it.
When publishing a live video stream within IE9, it works fine until I either switch tabs or minimize the window. At this point the video freezes for whoever is watching it. Troubleshooting shows the FMS indicates the SWF has stopped transmitting data. For all browsers other than IE9, this issue does not happen. Even previous versions of IE work great minimized.
We are currently using FMIS 4, and I have tried both the current stable 10.3 FP build as well as the FP Incubator, just in case this issue was worked out for the next FP release.
It boggles my mind that no one else seems to have run across this issue with IE9.
Thanks for any help I can get,
    Pete

Just in case others are still experiencing this, fret not. A solution has been found and the fix is incorporated into the current Beta for Flash Player 11.
As soon as it hits official release, a lot (if not all) of our odd ActiveX lockups and freezes seem to be addressed. Thank you, Adobe!
