Sql Error - 1034 thrown for restarting MMC

Hi Every one,
I have a newer installation of SAP IDES 4.7 EE with Oracle 9i.
Once i started it i it was successfully logged but for the next restart
of my machine all work process Ended. developer trace gives an Error of
SQL Error - 1034.
   Is that my installation is corrupt or there is a remedy for this.
  Thanks.

win2k3 .. listener should start upeon server start (service implemented!)...are you able to logon to oracle? <b>is there an oracle process running (-> task manager)</b>
START -> Run -> cmd (as user <sid>adm)
> sqlplus /nolog
> connect / as sysdba
or
> connect system/<pwd>@<SID> (just to check)
> show sga (for example..)
Plz check...otherwise analysis will be hard...

  • Forms 6i gives FRM-40734 Internal PL/SQL Error after Hourglass for 30 Min

    Hi,
    I am developing a New custom Form using a copy of Oracle Apps. TEMPLATE.FMB
    (Out of two custom forms , I am getting the below issue in only one form and the other is working fine)
    Everything works fine but I observed one unique issue during my testing.
    I executed the form and entered a value in one column of the master record
    (now the record in CHANGED status).
    Now I pressed the F11 Key (for Enter-Query in Apps) for doing the
    Query by ignoring the entered record values.
    Instead of giving a message "Do you want to Save the changes you have made (or)
    A Required Field must be entered"
    But the Form shows the Hourglass(Busy) for 30 Minutes then gives the error :
    FRM-40734 Internal PL/SQL Error
    May I know in the above situation, what are the triggers the form will fire and in which sequence (forms 6i)
    In summary what form triggers will be fired :
    When a NEW record status is CHANGED and when the user invokes Enter-Query
    (F11 on Apps and F8 on standalone) , before form changes to Enter-Query mode.
    Any pointers to my issue resolution.
    Below is my form canvas/block layout and I am getting the issue Only in Master Block and not in any of the detail blocks
    MASTER BLOCK
    DETAIL1 BLOCK
    DETAIL2 BLOCK DETAIL2 BLOCK DETAIL2 BLOCK
    thanks,
    Shashi

    Issue got resolved:
    ==================
    In my case, The solution I found is renaming the Relations with a unique name.
    When the Relation is created for two different master blocks
    the "Block creation wizard" has given the same name for both
    these relations.
    I renamed both of them with a custom unique name then the issue got resolved now the form is behaving correctly.
    thanks,
    Shashi

    While starting the SAP from mmc I can see these error messages in dev_w0 file .
    Any please could help us.

    Hi Sukrut,
    ¿Is your DB running? If not, ¿Any recent change to the init.ora?
    And, if it's yes: ¿Have you changed something at adm user's environment since last startup? ¿Can you run a "R3trans -d" and send the output from r3trans.log?

  • Appworx Batch Issue - SQL ERROR CODE:-12705

    Hi Experts.
    I am facing an issue in TEST Appworx. Batches are not executing, throwing error
    “ Threads submitted - starting thread tracking (Logon) SQL ERROR CODE:-12705” for all batches.
    It is happening for all batches.
    Work around:
    1-     I thought that may be appworx is not able to make connection with DB so I created one customized batch which connect db and update table, , it completed successfully,
    2-     At DB level for Error “12705” it cause due to lang parameter; I check and found it is also currect, no issue with lang
    Please advice.
    Thanks

    Wrong forum - while many Oracle Retail users also use Appworx, this is a problem between Appworx and communication with the Oracle Database.
    Your best option is to use the UC4 support site, where they have a forum community : https://uc4.service-now.com/ (requires current support and login)

  • DB 7.8 Restart fails with SQL error -9407, unexpected error 3

    Hello,

    We had the problem "[-8]: Execution failed, parse again" with one table,
    then we tried to restart the database. Now it doesn't come up any more.
    Is there another possibility instead of a recovery?
    Greetings
    Ulrich

    Your problem description sounds very similar to the following error:
    PTS1237652:
    "Appearance:
    Restart fails with file directory corruption:
    31,Error linking entry to parent; file no 'xxx', parent file no 'yyy', file type 'IndexFile', error '11'
    Preconditions and circumstances:
    During a recreate index operation the index was dropped and recreated manually.
    Workaround:
    None. The system must be recovered to the time just before the index was recreated."
    Please note that this is one of those issues that has only been fixed with 7.8.02. 7.8.02 is currently in customer testing, if anyone wants to join, just open a CSS message and test this version before we make it generally available for download.

    Hi friends...
    I've read the last post...
    The problem that I have is as follow....
    1. I have installed on my machine MySQL 5.0 Server running
    1.1 I have a database called "base1"
    1.2 User "root", password "works"
    1.3 I have the following sentence to connect it using JDBC
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://localhost/base1", "root", "works");
    More notes:
    - I use the JDBC 5.0
    - My Machine is a Windows XP SP2 Pentium 3.0 512Mb
    and it connects
    but I have this environment to develop applications, now that I want to connect to Production Environment happens the following:
    2 The Production database is mounted on a Linux Server with MySQL 3.2.
    2.1 I change the sentences as follow:
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:mysql://192.168.0.7/base1", "user", "password");
    2.3 But a message appears when I run the Java Program:
    java.sql.SQLException:Access denied for user: '[email protected]' (Using password: YES)
    2.4 As you can see it changes the IP Address...
    More notes:- I have the MySQL Query Browser and I got connection.
    - The IP that display the Error Message is my Second IP configurated on my Network Properties.
    - Server is a Pentium 4 3.0 GHz 2Gb Linux Red Hat 3.0
    I leave this case for the spider... I hope that somebady has the solution.
    What is the problem? Why the JDBC doesn't respect the IP that I wrote.

  • SQL Error: ORA-12899: value too large for column

    Hi,
    I'm trying to understand the above error. It occurs when we are migrating data from one oracle database to another:
    Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-12899: value too large for column "USER_XYZ"."TAB_XYZ"."COL_XYZ" (actual: 10, maximum: 8)
    12899. 00000 - "value too large for column %s (actual: %s, maximum: %s)"
    *Cause:    An attempt was made to insert or update a column with a value
    which is too wide for the width of the destination column.
    The name of the column is given, along with the actual width
    of the value, and the maximum allowed width of the column.
    Note that widths are reported in characters if character length
    semantics are in effect for the column, otherwise widths are
    reported in bytes.
    *Action:   Examine the SQL statement for correctness.  Check source
    and destination column data types.
    Either make the destination column wider, or use a subset
    of the source column (i.e. use substring).
    The source database runs - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64bit Production
    The target database runs - Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production
    The source and target table are identical and the column definitions are exactly the same. The column we get the error on is of CHAR(8). To migrate the data we use either a dblink or oracle datapump, both result in the same error. The data in the column is a fixed length string of 8 characters.
    To resolve the error the column "COL_XYZ" gets widened by:
    alter table TAB_XYZ modify (COL_XYZ varchar2(10));
    -alter table TAB_XYZ succeeded.
    We now move the data from the source into the target table without problem and then run:
    select max(length(COL_XYZ)) from TAB_XYZ;
    -8
    So the maximal string length for this column is 8 characters. To reduce the column width back to its original 8, we then run:
    alter table TAB_XYZ modify (COL_XYZ varchar2(8));
    -Error report:
    SQL Error: ORA-01441: cannot decrease column length because some value is too big
    01441. 00000 - "cannot decrease column length because some value is too big"
    *Cause:
    *Action:
    So we leave the column width at 10, but the curious thing is - once we have the data in the target table, we can then truncate the same table at source (ie. get rid of all the data) and move the data back in the original table (with COL_XYZ set at CHAR(8)) - without any issue.
    My guess the error has something to do with the storage on the target database, but I would like to understand why. If anybody has an idea or suggestion what to look for - much appreciated.
    Cheers.

    Use SQL Reference for datatype specification, length function, etc.

    hey i also have this problem i have been looking for solution for this problem for along time i tried every possible solution i tried every service pack for the SQL but it didn't connect to the port!!!
    it's a network problem ur java code is correct dont worry about it.
    finally i had to install MySQL and it's work fine now but if u insist on usning SQL u have to use the JDBC-ODBC Bridge it will work by :
    first add data source database , follow these steps
    1- go to Administrative tools
    2-Data Sources(ODBC)
    3-System DNS tab and add then choose SQL SERVER the last option then finish
    4-write the name; Note: this name is the one that u will write in ur URL for example if u write Hello the URL will be "jdbc:odbc:Hello"
    5- choose the server, its recommended to write "." or (local)
    6-change the database to its an important step to choose the database that u want to use, choose northwind if u want to use it
    finish
    second
    adding this code:
    import java.sql.*;
    class JdbcTest1 {
    public static void main (String[] args) {
    try {
    // Step 1: Load the JDBC driver.
    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    // Step 2: Establish the connection to the database.
    String url = "jdbc:odbc:Hello";
    Connection conn = DriverManager.getConnection(url,"user1","password");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    System.err.println("Got an exception! ");
    System.err.println(e.getMessage());
    it will work without any problems

  • EXEC SQL Error: ORA-01401: Inserted value too large for column

    Getting this SQL Error: ORA-01401: Inserted value too large for column..on an EXEC SQL Insert statement when writing to an
    external Oracle DB from SAP.
    On further analysis..it appears that this happens to the fields..when the string length matches the field length.
    Example:  Plant field is defined as char(4) on the SAP side and it is a Varchar2(4) on the Oracle side.
    When a value like '1015' is passed thru a variable in the insert statement then this ORA-01401 error pops up.
    No error:
       - if the value '1015' is passed directly in the insert statement to the external table  (or)
       - when a value with 3 chars or less(like the first three chars..101) is passed thru a variable  defined as 'Plant(4) type c'.
       - when using EXEC sql within SAP
       - when reading from the external db table
    This was working ok until the  Oracle Patch P9147110 was installed recently.
    Any suggestions !

    Hello Dvas,
    what's the characterset of your external database?
    What's the column definition in your external database (byte or character based)?
    If you use a characeterset like UTF8 it is possible, that one character needs more than one byte and then you will run into such kind of issues if the definition is too small.
    Regards
    Stefan

  • What is this error java.sql.SQLException: Bad format for number ?

    Dear All,
    I am reading few values from database. Then I get this error "MyError:Error : java.sql.SQLException: Bad format for number 'Sarawak' in column 6. " So what is this error referring to. I have checked the database column and its value fits according the data type. Any hints please?

    I have checked the database column and its value fits according the data type.Check again. Then check again. Keep checking until you find your error. You are trying to read a string containing "Sarawak" as a number. You have "getInt(6)" or other numeric type, and the 6th column in the select statement is not numeric.

  • How to check for sql errors

    if an sql statement is coded
    how to check whether the sql has executed without errors
    exception is one thing
    is there any other way or means for this
    if so, can any one help in this regard

    For Checking the SQL error you can trap the error number and error message and log into any table by following way
    CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE FOR_ERROR_LOG as
    v_err_num NUMBER (20) := 0;
    v_err_msg VARCHAR2 (100) := NULL;
    BEGIN
    SQL statements like select, insert, update.
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    v_err_num := SQLCODE;
    v_err_msg := SUBSTR (SQLERRM, 1, 100);
    INSERT INTO error_table VALUES ('FOR_ERROR_LOG',NULL, v_err_num, v_err_msg, SYSDATE);
    COMMIT;
    END ;
