SQL function for adding street, city and postal code.

I would like to know how to add to my code to display the addresses.
Any ideas?
SELECT departments.department_name "Department Name", locations.state_province "Mailing Address"
FROM departments, locations
WHERE departments.location_id=locations.location_id
AND locations.country_id='US'
ORDER BY department_name;
OUTPUT SO FAR:
Department Name Mailing Address
Accounting Washington
Administration Washington
Contracting Washington
Executive Washington
IT Texas
Shipping California

Hi,
Do you want the four database columns to appear as one output column, perhaps with a space between the columns?
If so, concatenate the strings into one big string using ||
SELECT departments.department_name "Department Name"
, street_address
|| ' ' || city
|| ' ' || locations.state_province
|| ' ' || postal_code AS "Mailing Address"
FROM departments, locations
WHERE departments.location_id=locations.location_id
AND locations.country_id='US'
ORDER BY department_name;

    ive recently purchased an i phone.  i have an ipod with and account.  while trying to access i tunes or apps for purchase, i am able to log in, but then it asks me to validate my info.  so i do.  same credit card, card number,  sec code. billing address, everything that is used on my ipod.  then i try to verify and it says....we couldn't verify your address.  make sure you've entered the correct street, city state, and postal code.  please help.

    I'm suddenly having this same problem.  I've had the other problem for a month or two where I had to reverify my payment info every day, and now when I do that I can't because it says the address that's been in there for 5 years is now unable to be verified.  Anyone else?  Any suggestions?

  • Built in SQL Function for Sum of Geometric Progression

    Hi all,
    Please let me know if there is any availble built in SQL function for
    SUm of Geometric Progression.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kaushik B.

    and also relatively simple to write:
    s = a*(1-power(r,n+1))/(1-r)
    assuming you have a row with values of a,r and n (and that's the sum you need)

  • I am trying connect to a SQL instance for our CRM program and I am receiving To Connect to this Server you must use SQL Management Studio or SQL Server Management

    I am trying connect to a SQL instance for our CRM program and I am receiving To Connect to this Server you must use SQL Management Studio or SQL Server Management
    This is a Brand new Server 2012 that is running our CRM product and it is trying to connect to a Server 2008 R2 server with SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 instance (10.50.4000)
    I have seen this in the past where it needed the 2005 backwards compatibility components installed but those are not supported on 2012 server and this is not a 2005 SQL instance.
    I am trying to install the Shared Management Objects for SQL Server 2008 but it tells me I need to install the CLR types, which I did install. But it continues to tell me to install the CLR types.
    Has anyone ran into any issues like this? (this happens trying to connect to multiple SQL Servers from this new 2012 Server)
    Thanks!
    -Max

    Hello,
    Which version and edition of the SQL Server instance did you installed on the new server machine?  If you install SQL Server 2012 Express edition, you can try to install SQL Server Management Studio 2012 from
    this link.
    You can connect to SQL Server 2008 R2 or earily verions with SSMS 2012.
    What's more, Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Management Objects Collection requires Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0, Microsoft SQL Server Native Client, and Microsoft SQL Server System CLR Types. You can try to download and install
    SQL Serve 2008 Feature Pack
    which contains packages above.

  • SAP IDM 7.2: How to setup SSO functionality for WebUI of CRM and GRC?

    Hello IDM-experts,
    where can my customer find information about
    SAP IDM 7.2: How to setup SSO functionality for WebUI of CRM and GRC?
    Customer situation description:
    The situation is that we are using SAP IDM 7.2. We are using a functionality to allow our users to access a webpage from where they can gain
    SSO access to the Abap systems via the SAPGui. See screenshot as an example.
    Now what we want is to access the CRM and GRC WebUI also with the same SSO possibility. We cannot find any guide/best practice on how to do
    this or if it is possible via SAP IDM 7.2.
    You can see a weblink in the first screenshot but it does not work. It will ask you for a username and password, see second screenshot.
    Kind regards,
    Daniela

    Do you know how the SAP GUI SSO is setup ? Is it using SNC/Kerberos ?
    If it is (I suspect it is), then you will need to use similar method of authentication for the ICF Services. These cannot use SNC since they are accessed via browser, but what you want is possible.
    Thanks
    Tim

  • HT3412 I want to send a Photo book to Belgium but I can't change the Country (now is Italy) in the shipping contacts  but only the address (name, street, city) and there is Italy fix. How can I do ?

    I want to send a Photo book to Belgium but I can't change the Country (now is Italy) in the shipping contacts  but only the address (name, street, city) and there is Italy fix. How can I do ? Can I send from my country a photobook in another country?

    You can change the Print Store location from iTaly to Belium in iPhoto's Advanced preference pane:
    Then try to order.  HOWEVER, you still may not be able to order.  Over here in the States the shipping address must be in the same country as the billing address of the credit card used.  It may be the same way over in Europe.
    Give it a try and see. Let us know how you fare.

    Does Logic Pro X include replacement functionality for Compressor, Soundtrack Pro and Waveburner from Logic Studio 9?

    No..  You can buy the Compressor (along with Mainstage) via the App Store as a separate download but STP and Waveburner are discontinued products. Some of STP's functionality can now be found in Final Cut Pro X...
    Note: Mainstage, Compressor, Waveburner and STP were part of the full version of Logic Studio 2.0 (which also included Logic Pro 9 ) and sold for $999 compared to Logic Pro X which retails at $200...
    The Apple loops/Jam packs that came as part of Logic Studio 2.0 now come free with Logic Pro X (and did so with the Appe store version of Logic Pro 9) .. as part of the additional downlaod

  • XMLType schema detail lost in pl/sql function for a jdeveloper webservice

    If I write a very simple pl/sql procedure to wrap as a web service to return the XML from an XMLtype table column, the jdeveloper (11.1.1.3) web service generation process seems to ignore the detail
    of the registered XMLTypes' schema, and converts the 'output' to an xsd:string in the generated WSDL file, which has knock on effect that generated data controls are 'dumb' in only seeing output as a string, and providing no real data functionality at XML schema level. Since I know web service data controls work fine when provided with the correct level of detail in the WSDL, what am I missing in terms of pursuading jdeveloper to generate wsdl's with full xsd schema info for the return XMLType?

  • Using pl/sql functions for transformation

    How can I use pl/sql functions in the transformation mapping field for my interface?
    I have a name field where firstname and lastname are concatenated via a space-character and I would like to extract this 'name' field to 2 separate database attributes.
    This means that I need to use a function that uses SUBSTRING and INSTR to be able to get the firstname and lastname separatly out of the name-field.
    The INSTR-function isn't known inside the expression editor in ODI so I'm wondering how I can use my own function?

    Hi Romanna,
    Are you sure? Where did you do your transformation?
    -Source, Staging area or Target
    I try this on Oracle target...
    FIRST_NAME = substr(MYTABLE.FIRST_LASTNAME, 1, instr(MYTABLE.FIRST_LASTNAME, ' ')-1)
    LAST_NAME = substr(MYTABLE.FIRST_LASTNAME,instr(MYTABLE.FIRST_LASTNAME, ' ')+1)

  • PL/SQL-Function for validation

    I wrote a PL/SQL function in order to validate that the SUM of input-values doesn't exceed 100.
    I used validation rule from APEX for PL/SQL-expression (same like SQL-expression):
    f_page_16_validation(:P16_PSP_PSP)<=100 (Condition: CREATE, SAVE)
    source code for function:
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION f_page_16_validation
    (pi_p16_psp_psp VARCHAR2)
    RETURN NUMBER
    IS
    vl_sum NUMBER(5) := 0;
    BEGIN
    SELECT NVL(SUM(psp_anteil_projekt),0) INTO vl_sum
    FROM st_psp_projekt_psp
    WHERE UPPER(psp_psp) = pi_p16_psp_psp;
    RETURN vl_sum;
    END f_page_16_validation;
    When I check in SQL*Plus against database: SELECT f_page_16_validation('A_TEST_UHL_PSP%') FROM dual;
    I get the correct value. When I input into APEX-Application the validation rule doesn't fire (CREATE). If my SUM is over 100 and try to change
    one value (in order to come under 100) (SAVE) - the validation rule fires but quite independent of the SUM - it accepts NO VALUE!!
    Apex-Version: 3.1.1.00.09
    Can somebody tell me what's wrong? Is there any other way - SQL,PL/SQL-expression, PL/SQL-function body (bool, error text) didn't work.

    1. If your PL/SQL expression is written as you stated:
    f_page_16_validation(:P16_PSP_PSP)<=100then you will receive an error message if the total is <= 100 and not if it exceeds 100.
    2. Where in your code do you consider the input values? I see that you are selecting from a table, where your already inserted values are but I see no input values. Are you using a form or a tabular form? If I look at the names of your buttons then I wouls say you are using a form.
    3. You are talking about condition. What type of condition you use? I would use a PL/SQL Expression like this:
    :REQUEST IN ('CREATE', 'SAVE')4. I would suggest to use a validation of type PL/SQL Function Returning Error Text since you can put all the code in one.

  • Upgrade OM 2012 to SP1 Beta - Version of SQL Server for the Operational Database and the Data Warehouse

    Hello,
    When I try to verify the prerequisites to upgrade my SCOM 2012 UR2 Platform to SP1 Beta, I have these errors :
    The installed version of SQL Server is not supported for the operational database.
    The installed version of SQL Server is not supported for the data warehouse.
    But when I execute this query Select @@version on my MSSQL Instance, the result is :
    Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP1) - 10.50.2500.0 (X64)   Jun 17 2011 00:54:03   Copyright (c) Microsoft Corporation  Standard Edition (64-bit) on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7600: ) (Hypervisor)
    But
    here, we can see that :
    Microsoft SQL Server: SQL Server SQL 2008 R2 SP1, SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2, SQL Server 2012, SQL Server 2012 SP1, are supported.
    Do I need to pach my MSSQL Server with a specific cumulative update package ?
    Thanks.

    These are the requirements for your SQL:
    SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2012 are available in both Standard and Enterprise editions. Operations Manager will function with both editions.
    Operations Manager does not support hosting its databases or SQL Server Reporting Services on a 32-bit edition of SQL Server.
    Using a different version of SQL Server for different Operations Manager features is not supported. The same version should be used for all features.
    SQL Server collation settings for all databases must be one of the following: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS, French_CI_AS, Cyrillic_General_CI_AS, Chinese_PRC_CI_AS, Japanese_CI_AS, Traditional_Spanish_CI_AS, or Latin1_General_CI_AS.  No other collation
    settings are supported.
    The SQL Server Agent service must be started, and the startup type must be set to automatic.
    Side-by-side installation of System Center Operations Manager 2007 R2 reporting and System Center 2012 Service Pack 1 (SP1), Operations Manager reporting on the same server is not supported.
    The db_owner role for the operational database must be a domain account. If you set the SQL Server Authentication to Mixed mode, and then try to add a local SQL Server login on the operational database, the Data Access service will not be able to start.
    For information about how to resolve the issue, see
    System Center Data Access Service Start Up Failure Due to SQL Configuration Change
    If you plan to use the Network Monitoring features of System Center 2012 – Operations Manager, you should move the tempdb database to a separate disk that has multiple spindles. For more information, see
    tempdb Database.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj656654.aspx#BKMK_RBF_OperationsDatabase
    Check the SQL server agent service and see whether it is set to automatic AND started. This got me confused at my first SP1 install as well. This is not done by default...
    It's doing common things uncommonly well that brings succes.

  • PL/SQL Function to check user name and password

    Hi,
    I am new to PL/SQL. I have a table that stores user name and password. I want to write a PL/SQL function that checks if the entered user name and password is correct, by validation against the values in the table... Can someone help me with the code? Both user name and password is varchar2

    First of all, I believe you mean a procedure that would check the application username and password. Fot, if you mean a PL/SQL procedure, that runs in the database, and that means it has to be executed after the client application is connected to the database.
    Maybe you need a procedure like this:
    procedure check_pass(p_user varchar2, p_pass varchar2) is
    pragma autonomous_transaction;
    v_passwd varchar2(200);
    begin
    select passwd into v_passwd
    from password_table
    where user_name=p_user;
    if v_passwd!=p_pass then
    update password_table set
    last_unsucc_logon=sysdate
    ,unsucc_logon_n=nvl(unsucc_logon_n,0)+1
    where user_name=p_user;
    commit;
    raise_application_error(-20101,'Invalid username/password!');
    end if;
    exception
    when no_data_found then
    raise_application_error(-20101,'Invalid username/password!');
    end;
    Study this piece of code and see if this will do.

  • How to create a single action for adding a border and signature for portrait AND landscape images???

    i would love to be able to create a single photoshop action for adding a border, plus a signature in the bottom right corner, that works for both portrait and landscape images.
    need i say more?!
    i already have an action that adds a signature in the centre of the border at the bottom of the image e.g. the image below. what i want though is for that signature to be on the RHS and for the same action to work for portrait images as well.
    supplementary info: reason for this is that I want to be able to export 300 wedding images (mix of landscape and portrait images) from lightroom in my pre-selected order (meaning the files are labelled from 001 to 300, ordered according to how the wedding day unfolded) and then use PS to add the border and the signature, in the same place, and for it to work for both orientations.
    i need this to work for full sized exported jpeg images, i.e. i want the files that i give on CD to my clients to include my signature in this manner. so I don't want to copy the initial layer and then reduce the second layer size to leave a border around the second layer.
    i hope i've been clear and that someone can help me here. I think that this sort of presentation makes such a difference to final printed image, and I DONT want to have to go to all 300 images picking out the landscape from portrait ones (although this may be what I have to do and wouldn't really take that long but surely there's a better way!!!!).
    Thanks in advance photoshoppers ...

    It is actually quite easy to do if you have a good understanding of how Photoshop works.  To be able to handle any size Landscape and Portrait you need to scale the document to a known width or height.  Once the document is resized to the width or height it easy.  When yot resize the document you use Image size with resample NOT checked.  Not a single image pixels is changed all the happens is the documents DPI is set to the proper DPI resolution to print that size.  This lets you add a border sized for and document.  You can use Canvas Size check relative and  leatve the anchor point centered and set width and height to 2" this will add 1"on all sides. Use Canvas size a second time move the anchor point to the top center check relative and set height 1" the will add an additional 1" border on the bottom.  You then record a text layer with your Name title or what ever to the top left of the image. Select all ant the align the text layer to the selection to move it to the bottom right.
    Adding a couple of scripts to the action you can make sure there is a background layer so the added canvas will be filled with pixels.  You can restore the document to its original DPI resolution to retain the images print size. Down load my crafting actions package it contains a dozen scripts to be used within actions. There are text file with tips and guidelines additionaly there is one on dealing with document size and includes a sample action set with a watermarking action the can watermark and size image. The Action set is also saved as a text file with additional comments I added my downloads can be found here http://mouseprints.net/Photoshop.html
