pl send the query if u can. u can use inline query to do it. but it entirly depends on the query. in inline query u can write a select statement in from cluse and access the mention column in your parent query. u can see this type of query in ocp dba sql-plsql book.

  • How to get the sql id and sql text  for the pid which is completed.

    Hi All,
I like to know how the get the details of sql_id and sql_text using the proecess which is completed already (ie., no more showing in the top command).
But I have the details of the process id.

If the session is still connected you might try this:
    - query v$process where spid = os-process-number
    - then join v$process to v$session using ADDR (in process) to PADDR (in session)
    - then look at PREV_SQL_ID in v$session.
    - use that to get the SQL_TEXT in for instance V$SQLAREA.
Could work, if all info is still in the SGA...

  • History of the sql text by session

    Hi all,
My manager want to have if possible the history of the sql text for each session runned in our database to trace some user activities. Does someone know where and how to retrieve that information. And i want also those information daily and report to my manager what should i do.
    Thanks for the help
    raitsarevo.

V$SQL and V$SQL_TEXT can get you the SQL that has been executed.
Getting it by session after the fact is where you will run into issues.
Auditing is the only way to really get what your manager wants.

    Hi,
I guess you can try some of these:
    - Make sure you're not missing an entry inside your tnsnames.ora file. Thin driver does not require the information inside that file, as opposed to Weblogic's OCI driver. If you are able to connect to the DB using a thin driver, then the problem is most probably (WL)driver-related.
    - Make sure you've properly configured the DB user / password inside your weblogic.properties (config.xml if WL6+).
    - Make sure you're able to access all drivers and classes required (PATH, CLASSPATH, etc...)
    - Make sure the OCI driver version you are using is fully compatible with the Oracle (server) version you are pointing to.
    - Try to access the DB user through some other client (for instance, SQLPlus*).
Hope this is of some help,
    Freddy.

  • Alternative for Cursor in SQL Server 2012

    Hi all,
I keen to know Alternative for Cursor in SQL Server 2012. Why everyone telling Cursor have performance impact. Any other alternative for row by row comparison like Array in SQL 2012 ?
    Thanks

It is not the cursor that kills you - it is the loop as such. I've seen more than one example of a poor man's cursor, where they have selected TOP 1 from a #temp ORDER BY, and several operations on the temp table - which is completely void of indexes,
making the operations for the loop control the slowest in the batch. So you use cursor when you need to iterate.
But in many cases, you should work and think set-based instead.

  • An error occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore.

    Hello,
I am using my AD in Windows Azure VMs. I created new VM of A3 (4 cores, 7 GB Memory) Windows Server 2012 R2, Port 1433 MSSQL added, made it a member of Domain and planned to install first Lync Server 2013 on it.
In "Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System", got an Red Coloured text "An error
occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."
I have not enabled monitoring and archiving server in topology builder. I added "Network Service" and assign "Full Control" in Security Permissions of "C:\CsData" and "C:\LyncShare".
I executed the SQL Setup Wizard and upgraded any instance to 2012.
    Please guide.
