Sqlcxt function results in SIGBUS error durring runtime

If you look at the JDK code you will see that invariably there is a Java wrapper for each native function that does all the sanity checking it possibly can, and maybe also rearranges the output, so that the native function is only ever called with correct arguments. It's a lot easier to do the checks in Java and if you forget one it's a lot quicker to just add it to the Java code.

User defined function - error at runtime
Hi,
I have to write a small java mapping, which has to obtain a substring 1 to 4 characters from a 5 characters string.
I used <b>graphical</b> mapping and the following <b>java</b> mapping program
<i>try
if(NodeId.length() == 5)
NodeId = NodeId.substring(1,4);
catch (Exception e)
NodeId = "NodeIdError";
return NodeId;</i>
In both cases i am receiving an error.
regards,
Ramesh PHi,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I tested in Test bed of the design time but i am receiving error at runtime only.
Error is :

Adobe document service error: SOAP Runtime Exception
Hello,
I am trying to test an Adobe Form created using the ABAP workbench SFP transaction, and getting the following error.
<b>Adobe document services error: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport : (100101)</b>
These are the steps I am using.
1. Call SFP transaction and select an ADOBE Form.
2. Function key F8 to test
3. Select the Output device and do "Print Preview"
Our configuration is : WAS 6.40 SP11 and corresponding ADS level. We used the standard SAP ADS configuration guide to setup.
Thanks in advance for any reply.
Regards,
PKHi PK
it looks like you have a problem with either your Adobe document services or your RFC configuration. In the current ADS Configuration Guide in the SAP Service Marketplace, you find a configuration quick test in chapter 3.4. The results should tell you if this is the issue.
There are 2 tests you can run:
A. Checking the User and Password
This is a small test where you can check that your entries for user, security role, and passwords are correct.
Procedure:
1. Enter the following URL in your web browser:
http://<server>:<port>/AdobeDocumentServices/Config
where <server> is the name of the J2EE engine where the Adobe document services are installed and <port> is the port of the J2EE engine.
Note that the entries in the URL are case-sensitive.
2. The web page of the web service AdobeDocumentServices is displayed. Choose Test.
3. Choose rpdata(test. ) .
4. Choose the Send button without entering any parameters.
5. Enter the same user name and password as given in the configuration steps earlier.
6. Choose Submit.
If the configuration is correct, you get the information about the Version number in the response area.
If the configuration settings are not correct, the page does not change and Submit still appears.
B. Checking the ABAP Connection
This is a small test for checking the RFC destination you have created.
Procedure
1. Log on to your SAP system.
2. Call transaction SE38
3. Enter the name of the test report: FP_PDF_TEST_OO.
4. Choose Execute (F8)
If the configuration is correct, you get the Version Information.
If the configuration is not correct, you get a dialog box with fields for user and password. Check your configuration settings and also the entries you made when creating the ABAP connection.
Hope this helps.
Kind regards,

Hi,
I've got an issue when using an ethernet control surface with Digital Performer 7.22. Whilst this is neither a DP nor Euphonix/Avid forum, having done some googling I've found that the error I'm getting is associated with many other applications on Mac OSX (involving the same symptom of crashing/quitting unexpectedly).
The error occurs specifically when changing between chunks in DP when I have the Euphonix MC Mix hooked up and controlling DP. It completely crashes unexpectedly when I change to a new chunk within a sequence. The error report I am getting is as follows:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGBUS)
Exception Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE at 0x0000000000000000

I am not knowledgable enough to discern anything from the Crash Log, but someone here might. Any ideas?
Have checked all software and ensured it is up to date. Have also tried whilst connected to the internet and otherwise. Have also reinstalled software numerous times. The same symptom on other machines as well.
As I mentioned, having done a google search I've found many other users with similar crash reports and same unexpected quitting. For this reason, I suspect its not a DP/Euphonx-specific issue, but a Mac OS issue.
Running 10.6.8
Thanks for any advice.
SteveWithout getting too technical, a SIGBUS error occurs when a program or driver attempts to access memory that doesn't exist, or at an address that's not good (no longer valid). This is a very common error and generally the result of failing to initialize a variable in some code, or failing to check the results that are returned from a function to verify that it worked properly.
This isn't an OS X error, per se. OS X simply catches the mistake and terminates the program that caused it because when it occurs, the processor simply can't continue processing the program instructions.
In this case, it looks like Euphonix driver attempted to access memory at address 0. More specifically, it looks as though the ConsumeFunction() call attempted to execute a function pointed to by a CallbackElem pointer, and this pointer had a null-value (presumably because whatever process assigned the CallbackElem pointer failed).
Address 0 is always an invalid address, and this means that somewhere in the driver, the driver's programmer failed to initialize a variable, or received an address as the result of some call/operation and never checked to see if it worked. This is a bug in the driver, and you need to report it to them. You will probably need to provide information about your hardware, OS version, other software, and anything you do that can reproducibly trigger the error. -

Yes as Eltan says you need to consider there are two blocks of abap program:
- the first one is the driver program (but it seems there's no problem here because it called the smartform quickly)
- the second one is inside the smartform (It's possible to write abap routine in the smartform), and it seems the problem could be here
The variable c_form_name has the name of the smartform, you can manage it by transaction SMARTFORMS
but now it's not possible to say you why the print takes too long time, you need to do a trace

Refering alias of a function result in an sql statement
Dear Sir,
How to refer an alias of a function result in sql statement?
eg.(new_name is the alias)
select myfunction(name) new_name
from mytable
where new_name = '#vincent#';
I can't refer new_name in the above statement coz it gives an error "invalid column name".
But I don't want to put the myfunction(name) again in the where clause which will double the job. So, how should I refer to it?
Please advise.
Thanks.
nullYou can not refer to the alias like you are talking. You will have to use myfunction(name) as you have said. Or you can try creating a view with query:
select myfunction(name) new_name
from mytable
and then refer to "new_name".

Has someone applied the one off patch for-ONS bug 5749953 SIGBUS ERROR
Hello all,
Env:: 10g on Soalris
I need to apply the one-off patch for
Bug:5749953 -- ONS SIGBUS ERROR AFTER INSTALL PATCHSET 10.2.0.3 FOR CRS
Usually for any CPU we issue opatch apply from the patch directory.
and its mentioned in the readme.html as well.
But for this one off patch, there isn't anything mentioned in the readme.html.
All it says is
# 6. Patch the Files
# 6.1 Patch the CRS home files
# After unlocking any protected files and saving configuration settings
# you are now ready to run opatch using the following command.
# As the Oracle Clusterware (CRS) software owner;
# % opatch apply -local -oh <CRS_HOME>
# Note: In configuration A, invoke this only on one node.
# 6.2 Patch the RDBMS home files.
# Alert: The RDBMS portion can only be applied to an RDBMS home that
# has been upgraded to 10.2.0.3.0.
# For additional information please read Note.363254.1;
# Applying one-off Oracle Clusterware patches in a mixed version home
# environment
# As the RDBMS software owner;
# % opatch apply custom/server/5749953 -local -oh <RDBMS_HOME>
# Note: In configuration A, invoke this only on one node.Could someone let me know from where i should give 'opatch apply' if patch.zip files are unzipped in /export/home/oracle/5749953 ? TIA,
JJThe patch can always be installed in 2 ways.
1. Do a cd and then run opatch
cd <patchlocation>
opatch apply
2. Else specify the patch location as an argument
opatch apply <full path to the patch i.e the one you do cd above> ...
Both the above styles yield same result.

Using the Adobe Reader Distribution Agreement link results in an error 404
I have a current Distribution Agreement for Reader etc but the link to download Reader results in an error 404 - Sorry, this page is not available.
Hi Ben,
Thanks for the response. I would have posted a link but as part of the distribution agreement it is not to be shared/posted.
I already have a current distribution agreement so the Volume distribution page does not help.
From the Enterprise Toolkit Home I accessed ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/ and was able to download from /pub/adobe/reader/win/11.x/11.0.10/en_US so thanks for the link.
Still does not fix the 404 error though on the distribution download link http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/runtime-distribution3.html#?????-???? (sanitised). -
Error load Runtime CR2008 64 bit
Hello,
We used the client to develop the reports, then we installed the Runtime on an internal server to render the report on our intranet.
Everything worked well since we moved to another server (a 64bit machine), so we had to reinstall CR2008 Runtime again.
But it's seems that is not the correct version of the runtime because, trying to create the report programmatically, an error occurred:
CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: Si è verificato un errore durante il tentativo di caricare il runtime Crystal Reports.

CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.LoadSaveReportException: an error occurred while loading Crystal Reports runtime.
Check rights, install the correct version of Crystal Report (CRRedist*.msi) runtime (x86, x64, Itanium). For more information....
We need the 64bit version of the CR2008. Where can we find it? We tried on your website, but we didn't find anything.
Regards,
TeresaHi Teresa,
Merge module not available for 64 bit.
Only work around is we need to use merge module on 32 bit that means,Create setup on 32 bit machine and deploy on 64 bit.
Hope that helps!!

ReportingServicesYou'll get this error if the difference between the start and end date is greater that about 68 years due to the "second" DATEDIFF specification. Perhaps the dates are greater than the expected range due to a data quality issue.
Taking the advice from the error message, you could use minutes instead of seconds like the example below the version below. This could still result in the error of the difference is greater than a couple of hundred years, though. You might consider
validating the dates and returning NULL if outside expected limits.

Community Template; Save as Template Results in Several Errors
I customized a Community Site. I saved that site as a template. I used that template to create another site. Resulting errors\things I don't like.
1) When I click on Categories, the Featured Dicussion app and the Discussion app show correlation ID errors.
I deleted the Dicsussion app, re-added it, hoocked it up to the Categories webpart and that seemed to fix the error
I deleted the Featured Discussion app and re-added it. Seamed to work however if there isn't a Featured Discussion the app isn't hidden like in the Community Template. It just says there are no items in the Disucssion
2) When I go to the Discussion List itsleft the Management View is gone. I got around this by recreating it.
3) When I went to a dicussion thread I had to change the view to Flat and make it the default.
All that being said, why can't I create a template from a Community Site without getting all these issues? Has anyone figured out a way to do this?Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you saved Community Site as Template results in several errors.
I tried to reproduce the issues, the site which created by the saved Template did has many problems.
This is a known issue in SharePoint Sever 2013. To work around this issue, create sites from a standard SharePoint template when you plan to use community categories. Everything will functions correctly on a site that wasn't created from a site saved as
a template.
Please refer to the official article related, although it is about the SharePoint online, it still works for SharePoint 2013.

Thank you for your understanding.

Dynamically catch a function call from an object at runtime
Hi,
I have a bit of an interesting question.
Say I have a dynamic object named Foo. It may have a set of explicitly defined functions:
public function helloWorld():String
return "hello world";
public function get name():String
return "My Name";
etc.
I want to be able to create a further function
public function handleFunctionCall(functionCall:String, args:Array):*
trace("Function: " + functionCall + " was called with the arguments:");
for(var i:int=0; i<args.length; i++)
trace(args[i]);
The purpose of this is so that I can declare the object Foo and then call any function and handle it accordingly at runtime.
e.g.
var foo:Foo=new Foo();
foo.bar();
foo.whathaveyou();
foo.whatever();
Hope someone can point me in the right direction.I'd be interested to know more about what you are trying to achieve, but the code below should work:
public function handleFunctionCall( functionName : String, args : Array ) : *
var functionToCall : Function = this[ functionName ];
return functionToCall.call( this, args );
For alternative approaches you may want to take a look at behavioural design patterns. The command or strategy pattern may suit your needs. -
