Sqlldr using Nextval and Currval to load 3 databases

I am trying to load 3 tables from a flat file and when i use the Nextval on a sequence field it loads the table fine, the issue is with the 3rd check below when i try to sequence the records on that table using the same sequence field from the first check. I get the records loaded to the table on the 3rd check but the sequence number is repeating and not staying insynce with the records loaded from the first check. and yes, i have reset all sequence counters.

Try with "rows=1" when you call sqlldr.

I am using VPN, and Firefox is loading the page. Before I reinstall the new version, the VPN was working okay. Whta happened, what I am supposed to do?
I have to use the VPN to acess the site because of the limitatation , and it was working okay. When I do turn off the VPN, then the sites will open, but if I activate the VPN, then site will load for ever, but they won't load.
Please advise me what to do?

You might try using the add-on 'NoSquint' which allows numerous zoom options specific to each page you visit & keeps your settings - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/nosquint/
If you want to go back to 3.6x, you will find it here:
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
In most cases you can simply "upgrade" (meaning downgrade) directly from the installation. It would be a good idea to save your passwords & bookmarks just to be on the safe side.

  • Problem with Union and Currval/NextVal

    Hello,
I think I may have found a bug with 8.1.5 but I am not sure. Here is the SQL I am trying to execute:
    insert into LFI_TEST_OWNER.CURRVAL_TEST_tb
    SELECT lfi_seq_num_sg.currval
    FROM DUAL
    UNION ALL
    SELECT lfi_seq_num_sg.currval
    FROM DUAL
When I execute this SQL statement the value inserted into the table is NULL. However when I remove the union and one of the queries then it works as expected.
Any information on if this is being worked on by Oracle or if it has been fixed would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jeff M

    Hi Jeff,
Nice one. I feel it may not be a bug but as NEXTVAL and CURRVAL are pseudo columns they might not be able to get store in the memory to sort the 2 queries.
Infact, if you use anyother function in the dual select statment it will return only one row despite of the 2 select statments in the SQL statement. I tried like this,
    SQL> select sysdate from dual
    2 union
    3 select sysdate from dual;
    SYSDATE
    19-JUL-01
I got only one record. Then I tried like this,
    SQL> select s1.nextval from dual
    2 union
    3 select s1.currval from dual;
    NEXTVAL
I have given NEXTVAL in the first stmt, still it is returning NULL value only. So I feel it might be PSEUDOCOLUMN effect.
Any guys who knows better answer are appreciable.
    Thanks
    Srinivas

  • How to get current value of SEQUENCE without using NEXTVAL

    Hi,
Here is my requirement. I need to provide a screen for allowing user to change the sequence # at any given instance. If I use CURRVAL, i get error 'ORA-08002 sequence EMP_NO.CURRVAL is not yet defined in this session'
If I use NEXTVAL and then CURRVAL it works, but i loose a sequence # which i cannot afford, since it's an employee #.
Help required in solving the problem.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Use this...
    select last_number from user_sequences where sequence_name = '<your-sequence>'
to get the current sequence value. However bear in mind that on a multi-user system (and which system today is not?) there may be many users firing this query, so in case of a next sequence no. allocation request fired by more thn one of them the sequences each gets will not all be this number + 1.
    HTH,
    Mohit.

  • On my registered iTunes computer, the following message appears every time one plugs in a device and refuses to load said device to be synced: "This iPod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". They are all registered. Help

On my registered iTunes computer, the following message appears every time one plugs in a device and refuses to load said device to be synced: "This iPod cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started". Each device has been registered onto this account and this computer, and all have worked finely in the past. I am so confused as to why now seemingly without reason, none of our apple devices (one iPod, two iPhones) are allowed to have music and other material downloaded onto them. Also, as a side note, they still are charged by plugging them into the computer, however they do not even show up on the left-hand sidebar in iTunes.
It should also be noted that for my iPhone it does not allow for the new update software to be uploaded; it just says that an error has occurred, nothing more.

    Hi again,
Helps if I give the correct link ! <br/>The press shift button appears to still work, but the option to start in safe mode from the programs listing of a standard install I do not think exists anymore.
Safe mode will start from a command line, (or a shortcut) and in some circumstances you may need to enter the full path name on a command or shortcut detailed instructions are at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
Remember (at least at this stage) do not make changes when you get the options list, just click on the continue button.
If you think that RealPlayer is causing the problem you could uninstall that for now.
Firefox recent versions are 3.6 4.0 (and 5.0 in beta). There is some debate as to whether creating new profiles or re-installing Firefox is the simplest method of troubleshooting and solving some of these problems, personally I use multiple profiles and multiple versions of Firefox, and tend to forget the required procedures are less than straightforward. For now at least try [[safe mode]] again.

    Thank you.
And another question if the data is already there in the child table if i try to load alone it must delete the old data in the child tablee and need to get load the new data and
    How to do this ?
    Arunraj Kumar
You can do that with an IF EXISTS condition
    IF EXISTS (SELECT 1
    FROM YourChildTable c
    INNER JOIn @temptable t
    ON c.Bkey1 = t.Bkey1
    AND c.Bkey2 = t.Bkey2
    DELETE t
    FROM YourChildTable c
    INNER JOIn @temptable t
    ON c.Bkey1 = t.Bkey1
    AND c.Bkey2 = t.Bkey2
    INSERT INTO YourChildTable
where Bkey1,Bkey2 etc forms the business key of the table

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
Do you keep your data backed up?
If not, you should always do so*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
You never know when a hard drive or a directory might go bad.  Having a bootable clone is a must.
That link also shows you some tools you can use to recover data.
If you aren't backed up, try buying those tools first, before attempting to repair the directory.
Directory issues can be fixed with these tools*:

I'm trying to install Adobe Photoshop CS3 on a new ASUS ASM11BB001O computer equipped with 64-bit Windows 7.  I use a "bundle" approach, first loading Photoshop 6, then upgrading with CS upgrade and then CS3 upgrade.  The installation goes smoothly until I add PS CS, and then it balks at the "accept" Adobe conditions screen.  I have two other (Gateway) computers with Windows 7, 64-bit, on both of which the PS-6, CS-CS3 pathway worked fine.  Any thoughts on how to get this working?  Thanks

If your goal is to install and activate CS5 there is no need to install anything preceding it.  You will only need to have the serial number from the preceding version that you upgrade from (CS3 I guess).

I'm wanting to use the "Actions" in Photoshop Elements 11. But when I get the actions box up, it is only showing a small list of effects to use. And no side bar. So I can't go any further.  When I click on the little arrow at top and click on "load actions", I am only getting a box with empty space saying "No items match your search".  The folder at the top does say "Actions".  How do I get more effects?  The tutorials that I've checked into all show a long list of effects in their box.  Can anyone help?

To use the existing actions, try the following:
    1. Open one of the Action Sets, in this example Special Effects is the Action Set, by pressing the small arrow beside the set name.
    2. Then click on the name of the Action, in this example Faded Ink is the Action name.
    3. Then press the Play button to run the action.

I used to drag and drop music loaded from CD's from the Recently Added folder to a Playlist on my iPods Classic. Can't see how to do this with new iTunes version. Probably need to sync somehow but when I checked on Sync it warned me it would wipe out my iPod contents. Don 't know why Apple makes something that used to be simple so difficult. Can't even figure out how to display both my library and iPod contents on same screen.

    Hey joshuafromisr,
If you resintall iTunes, it should fix the issue. The following document will go over how to remove iTunes fully and then reinstall. Depending on what version of Windows you're running you'll either follow the directions here:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1925
    or here:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923

I have just bought a new Imac and it will not load my copy of FCE 3.5 as it says "PowerPC applications are no longer supported". So how do I get to use the version of FCE I am used to and have paid for ?

I do not have any experience with Final Cut, but if you have existing projects that you MUST access; then you are in need of a solution on your new iMac in Mountain Lion!
Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta.  Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion).  While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
    Workarounds:
    1.  Purchase a used Mac that will run Snow Leopard (with the optional Rosetta installed) and continue to run FCE on that Mac (you can actually use Screen Sharing with a "headless" used Snow Leopard Mac Mini and use the 27" screen from your iMac to view and work FCE in the Mac Mini environment);
    2.  Upgrade to an Intel compatible version of FCE and hope it converts your existing projects to its newer format correctly.  There is much debate that the newer version of Final Cut are eliminating many needed features; for example Final Cut Pro X vs. Final Cut Pro 6 -- many users are staying with version 6;
    3.  Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels and then install FCE in the Snow Leopard environment:
Full Snow Leopard installation instructions here:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1365439
NOTE: STEP ONE of the instructions must currently be completed on a Snow Leopard or Lion Mac and the resulting modified Snow Leopard.cdr install file can then be moved over to your Mountain Lion Mac for completion of the remaining steps.
NOTE 2:  Computer games with complex, 3D or fast motion graphics make not work well or at all in virtualization.

No, you cannot downgrade your iOS device. That's not supported by Apple.

  • When I click on "Sign in to Sync" the page "about:accounts" shows error "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded." How do I fix this so I can use Sync?

When I click on the three-bar icon (top right) and then on "Sign in to Sync" a new tab opens attempting to load "about:accounts" . . . the page that loads is an error . . . "Problem loading page" shows up on the tab and the page displays:

The about:accounts page is a valid page in the current Firefox release.
