Sqlloader concurrent program with multiple data files

I have a concurrent program with datafile_path/datafile_name as an input parameter registered for an Sql loader (ctl) program. My requirement is to add one more datafile_name to the control file. In that case what should be the syntax in control file? And can I just add one more datafile name to the concurrent program input? Will it pick from the control file.
My current syntax is as follows in my .ctl file:
LOAD DATA
INFILE *
APPEND
INTO TABLE <table_name>
     abc_id     SEQUENCE(MAX,1),
     abc_type          CONSTANT 'CONSTANT_VALUE',
Thanks,

  • Adding Data file to existing primary file group with 1 data file

    Currently our databases are configured to only have 1 data file and 1 log file.  I am looking at adding a 2nd data file to the primary group, which will be on a separate lun.
    Will we benefit from adding the 2nd data file (same size as 1st data file and same autogrowth rate) , or should we create a new database with 2 data files (equal size and autogrowth rate), and import the data from the database with the single data file.
    Thanks.
    DJ

    Having another data file pointing to different Physical Volume
    will give you better performance gains. Additionally, you should pre-size them (Same as First Data File) with same growth settings (Preferably in Mb
    instead of Percentages) .
    It is perfectly OK to add another data file to PRIMARY file-group as well and SQL Server will automatically balance the data across multiple files over the period time (Due to Data Striping)

  • Single concurrent program for multiple operating units

    HI
    I am working on XML/BI publisher to generate AR invoice reports.
    We have single rdf report using which rtf templates are generated.
    There are 10 operating units (10 ORG_ID's) and 10 rtf templates, one for each operating unit. There are 4 different responsibilities for each ORG_ID
    Eg: ORG_ID's = 11, 12, 13, 14..........etc
    Eg: Responsibility = xx, yy, zz...........etc
    I want to register a single concurrent program. When a user submits a request from "XX" responsibility, then the template associated with that org_id should be generated. Whichever responsibility the user is accessing from, that particular template must be shown as output.
    How can i register one concurrent program for multiple operating units.
    Thanks!

    interesting case for 10 OE set 10 template
    what is purpose? for each OE different requirements for layout?
    BTW
    if each Responsibility associated with one org_id then
    - you can get current org_id when you run concurrent program
    - create main template (will be #11) with condition like
    <?choose:?>
    <?when: ORG_ID=11?>
    <?import:xdo://FND.XX11_SUB.en.00/?>
    <?call:TEMPLATE11?>
    <?end when?>
    <?when: ORG_ID=12?>
    <?import:xdo://FND.XX12_SUB.en.00/?>
    <?call:TEMPLATE12?>
    <?end when?>
    <?otherwise:?>
    <?import:xdo://FND.XX21_SUB.en.00/?>
    <?call:TEMPLATE21?>
    <?end otherwise?>
    <?end choose?>so based on org_id will be import of needed subtemplate
    - re-register your "10 rtf templates" as subtemplates
    another way is substitution of template for concurrent then it running
    in before_report trigger set needed template
    l_conc_request_id := fnd_global.conc_request_id;
        if ORG_ID = 11 then
          UPDATE fnd_conc_pp_actions t
             SET t.argument2 = 'XX11'
           where t.concurrent_request_id = l_conc_request_id
             and t.action_type = 6;
      if ORG_ID = 21 then
          UPDATE fnd_conc_pp_actions t
             SET t.argument2 = 'XX21'
           where t.concurrent_request_id = l_conc_request_id
             and t.action_type = 6;

  • Space allocation on 11g R2 on multiple data files in one tablespace

    hello
    if the following is explained in Oracle 11g R2 documentation please send a pointer. I cant find it myself right now.
    my question is about space allocation (during inserts and during table data load) in one table space containing multiple data files.
    suppose i have Oracle 11g R2 database and I am using OMF and Oracle ASM on Oracle Linux 64-bit.
    I have one ASM disk group called ASMDATA with 50 ASM disks in it.
    I have one tablespace called APPL_DATA with 50 data files on it, each file = 20 GB (equal size), to contain one 1 TB table calll MY_FACT_TABLE.
    During Import Data Pump or during application doing SQL Inserts how will Oracle allocate space for the table?
    Will it fill up one data file completely and then start allocating from second file and so on, sequentially moving from file to file?
    And when all files are full, which file will it try to autoextend (if they all allow autoextend) ?
    Or will Oracle use some sort of proportional fill like MS SQL Server does i.e. allocate one extent from data file 1, next extent from data file 2,.... and then wrap around again? In other words it will keep all files equally allocated as much as possible so at any point in time they will have approximately the same amount of data in them (assuming same initial size ?
    Or some other way?
    thanks.

    On 10.2.0.4, regular data files, autoallocate, 8K blocks, I've noticed some unexpected things. I have an old, probably obsolete habit of making my datafiles 2G fixed, except for the last, which I make 200M autoextend max 2G. So what I see happening in normal operations is, the other files fill up in a round-robin fashion, then the last file starts to grow. So it is obvious to me at that time to extend the file to 2G, make it noautoexented, and add another file. My schemata tend to be in the 50G range, with 1 or 2 thousand tables. When I impdp, I notice it sorts them by size, importing the largest first. I never paid too much attention to the smaller tables, since LMT algorithms seem good enough to simply not worry about it.
    I just looked (with dbconsole tablespace map) at a much smaller schema I imported not long ago, where the biggest table was 20M in 36 extents, second was 8M in 23 extents, and so on, total around 200M. I had made 2 data files, the first 2G and the second 200M autoextend. Looking at the impdp log, I see it isn't real strong about sorting by size, especially under 5M. So where did the 20M table it imported first end up? At the end of the auotextend file, with lots of free space below a few tables there. The 2G file seems to have a couple thousand blocks used, then 8K blocks free, 5K blocks used, 56K blocks free, 19K blocks used, 148K free (with a few tables scattered in the middle of there), 4K blocks used, the rest free. Looking at an 8G similar schema, looks like the largest files got spread across the middle of the files, then the second largest next to it, and so forth, which is more what I expected.
    I'm still not going to worry about it. Data distribution within the tables is something that might be important, where blocks on the disk are, not so much. I think that's why the docs are kind of ambiguous about the algorithm, it can change, and isn't all that important, unless you run into bugs.

  • SQL Loader: Multiple data files to Multiple Tables

    How do you create one control file that refrences multiple data file and each file loads data in a different table.
    Eg.
    DataFile1 --> Table 1
    DataFile2 --> Table 2
    Contents and Structure of both data files are different. Data file is comma seperated.
    Below example is for 1 data file to 1 table. Need to modify this or create a wrapper that would call multiple control files.
    OPTIONS (SKIP=1)
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE DataFile1
    BADFILE DataFile1_bad.txt'
    DISCARDFILE DataFile1_dsc.txt'
    REPLACE
    INTO TABLE Table1
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ","
    TRAILING NULLCOLS
    Col1,
    Col2,
    Col3,
    create_dttm sysdate,
    MySeq "myseq.nextval"
    Welcome any other suggestions.

    I was thinking if there is a way to indicate what file goes with what table (structure) in one control file.
    Example ( This does not work but wondering if something similar is allowed..)
    OPTIONS (SKIP=1)
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE DataFile1
    BADFILE DataFile1_bad.txt'
    DISCARDFILE DataFile1_dsc.txt'
    REPLACE
    INTO TABLE Table1
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ","
    TRAILING NULLCOLS
    Col1,
    Col2,
    Col3,
    create_dttm sysdate,
    MySeq "myseq.nextval"
    INFILE DataFile2
    BADFILE DataFile2_bad.txt'
    DISCARDFILE DataFile2_dsc.txt'
    REPLACE
    INTO TABLE "T2"
    FIELDS TERMINATED BY ","
    TRAILING NULLCOLS
    T2Col1,
    T2Col2,

    --reduce size of existing file to 5GB

  • Web Analysis : populate the same table with multiple data sources

    Hi folks,
    I would like to know if it is possible to populate a table with multiple data sources.
    For instance, I'd like to create a table with 3 columns : Entity, Customer and AvgCostPerCust.
    Entity and Customer come from one Essbase, AvgCostPerCust comes from HFM.
    The objective is to get a calculated member which is Customer * AvgCostPerCust.
    Any ideas ?
    Once again, thanks for your help.

    I would like to have the following output:
    File 1 - Store 2 - Query A + Store 2 - Query B
    File 2 - Store 4 - Query A + Store 4 - Query B
    File 3 - Store 5 - Query A + Store 5 - Query B
    the bursting level should be give at
    File 1 - Store 2 - Query A + Store 2 - Query B
    so the tag in the xml has to be split by common to these three rows.
    since the data is coming from the diff query, and the data is not going to be under single tag.
    you cannot burst it using concatenated data source.
    But you can do it, using the datatemplate, and link the query and get the data for each file under a single query,
    select distinct store_name from all-stores
    select * from query1 where store name = :store_name === 1st query
    select * from query2 where store name = :store_name === 2nd query
    define the datastructure the way you wanted,
    the xml will contain something like this
    <stores>
    <store> </store> - for store 2
    <store> </store> - for store 3
    <store> </store> - for store 4
    <store> </store> - for store 5
    <stores>
    now you can burst it at store level.

  • BI+ Reporting With Multiple Data Sources

    Hi -
    We've been using BI+ Reports with multiple data sources on separate grids. We are wondering if there is a better way to ensure the user has their point of view bar in sync between the the data sources. In our case, both Data Sources are separate HFM applications with all the dimensions identical except the account which is defined on the report. We are not using Metadata Management.
    I'm aware of the "Merge Equivalent Prompts" in the Preferences > Financial Reporting window, but this does not always ensure the users have the same point of view.
    What practice are other companies using to make sure the user runs the reports accurately with both point of view bars pulling the same entity/year/period.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your answer, however my question - I know it looks quite messy - is not directly related to data templates, my problem is that at the moment I am using a stored procedure following - almost exactly - what another procedure does in oracle EBS to call a BI publisher report.
    1. This procedure populates some temporary table with the xml data where the concurrent request picks it up and uses it to populate the BI publisher template.
    2. However I can't go and specify the XML location in my data template as this is not an option for us (i.e. reading the xml from the temporary table), so I am looking for another way to populate the BI publisher template (Note: I can't as well include the SQL queries in my Data template).
    Thanks ;)

  • Is there any way to upload Tariff Code (with multiple XML files) from application server?

    Hi All,
    Is there any way to upload Tariff Code (with multiple XML files) from application server?. Its urgent.
    Regards,
    Jatin

    Hi Jatin,
    Yes, of course you can upload multiple files for tariff codes.
    This can be done by the below path:-
    SAP GTS Cockpit(tcode-/sapsll/menu_legal)-->Customs Management-->Classification-->Classification Master Data-->Upload Tariff Code Numbers from XML file(tocde- /SAPSLL/LLNS_UPL101).
    In the above area after browsing and choosing the first file, please select multiple check box to choose more files as well. Then you can further select your application server and upload all those files in one go.
    PS:- Although, we have an option to upload multiple such files but actually we should avoid multiple file uploads due to various reasons. Hence, please take utmost care during such procedure.

  • Create Host Concurrent Program with parameters

    Hi All,
    I have created a host concurrent program in Oracle APPS with one parameter. My shell script in unix is this :
    cd $1
    mv _oracle.txt Especificacion.txt
    it is in $AC_TOP/bin directory.
    When I execute the host concurrent program with oracle APPS with one parameters that is the path that I want to send it to shell script this error occurs.
    /hogr-949-000/oracle/prodappl/ac/11.5.0/bin/xx_opm_cambio_nomarch_iweb: cd: bad argument count
    mv: cannot rename _oracle.txt to Especificacion.txt:
    No such file or directory
    /hogr-949-000/oracle/prodappl/ac/11.5.0/bin/xx_opm_cambio_nomarch_iweb
    Program exited with status 1
    I have read many papers in metalink and I understand that at first parameter it includes many details programs such as, user id, concurrent program name, etc etc, and not only the value that I want to send.
    So I know the problem, but my question is, how can I resolve it ?. I'm not a unix expert.
    Please,
    Thanks in advance
    Mariano.-

    It doesn't work. But I finally find the solution. The point is this...
    p1=`echo $1|cut -f9 -d " "|cut -f2 -d '"'`
    In f1, f2, f3, etc you receive the information of the concurrent, and in f9 receive the first value of your parameter that you create in de concurrent program.
    Regards,
    Mariano.-

  • How to tune performance of a cube with multiple date dimension?

    Hi,
    I have a cube where I have a measure. Now for a turn time report I am taking the date difference of two dates and taking the average, max and min of the date difference. The graph is taking long time to load. I am using Telerik report controls.
    Is there any way to tune up the cube performance with multiple date dimension to it? What are the key rules and beset practices for a cube to perform well?
    Thanks,
    Amit

    Hi amit2015,
    According to your description, you want to improve the performance of a SSAS cube with multiple date dimension. Right?
    In Analysis Services, there are many tips to improve the performance of a cube. In this scenario, I suggest you only keep one dimension, and only include the column which are required for your calculation. Please refer to "dimension design" in
    the link below:

  • How to create list items with multiple attachment files using rest api javascript

    In one of user form I am using javascript rest api to create a list item with multiple attachment files. So far I am able to create list item and once created uploading an attachment file. But this is two step process first create an item and then upload
    a file.
    It create an additional version of the item which is not desired. Also I am not able find a way to attach multiple files in a go. Following is the code I am using.
    createitem.executeAsync({
                    url: "/_api/web/lists/GetByTitle('UserForm')/items(1)/AttachmentFiles/add(FileName='" + aFile.name + "')",

                    body: fileContent,
                    success: fnsuccess,
                    error: fnerror
    So somehow I need to combine item attributes along with attachment files in body: param. I visited https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/office/dn531433.aspx#bk_ListItem but no success.
    Appreciate any help.

    Thanks Mahesh for the reply and post you share it was useful.
    But this does not solve the core of the issue. You are uploading attachments after creation of item and multiple files are being attached in loop. This is kind of iterative update to an existing item with attachments. This will end up creating multiple versions.
    What I am trying to achieve is to create an item along with multiple attachments in a go. No item updates further to attach a file.
    Please suggest how this can be done in one go. SharePoint does it when one creates an item with multiple attachment.
    Thanks for your reply.

  • Howto deal with multiple source files having the same filename...?

    Ahoi again.
    I'm currently trying to make a package for the recent version of subversive for Eclipse Ganymede and I'm almost finished.
    Some time ago the svn.connector components have been split from the official subversive distribution and have to be packed/packaged extra. And here is where my problem arises.
    The svn.connector consists (among other things) of two files which are named the same:
    http://www.polarion.org/projects/subversive/download/eclipse/2.0/update-site/features/org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector_2.0.3.I20080814-1500.jar

    At the moment makepkg downloads the first one, looks at its cache, and thinks that it already has the second file, too, because it has the same name. As a result, I can neither fetch both files nor use both of them in the build()-function...
    Are there currently any mechanisms in makepkg to deal with multiple source files having the same name?
    The only solution I see at the moment would be to only include the first file in the source array, install it in the build()-function and then manually download the second one via wget and install it after that (AKA Quick & Dirty).
    But of course I would prefer a nicer solution to this problem if possible. ^^
    TIA!

    OK, I've filed a bug report and have also included a suggestion how to solve this problem.

    I think you are trying to explain how to load two swf's one with action
    script and loading an other swf file which should be non action script.If
    you read my requirement carefully.I have all the same type of swf's and
    these swf are automatically created as a form of output for xcelsius dash
    board software.Iam capable of creating individialu ipa files from these swf
    files.So when I try to combine the same kind of swf files the first error
    its giving is the file name which I have used in the xml.in the main file
    name for the swf file its not considering the two swf file name in the
    initial window.so the adt package in the command line is not understanding
    the file name from the xml and the command prompt and giving error this swf
