SQLPLUS HOST Command Not Supported

Hi,
I am facing strange problem. I have lots of scripts where I have used the HOST command from within SQLPLUS.
Now, on Windows Server 3000 Standard Edition, Version 5.2, I find that both HOST and its equivalent $, both are not supported when used with SQLPLUS on Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition.
Please HELP, and suggest some alternative.

There is no such thing as Windows Server 3000. The latest product appears to be Windows Server 2008.
I'm not sure what the version of the Oracle database has to do with it. This is about SQL*Plus and you still haven't told us what version of that you are using. For example:

SQL> I've never known the host command not work, but perhaps someone with the same setup as you can confirm they don't have the same problem. I'm also a bit puzzled by the error message "Command not success." That doesn't sound like an Oracle command - apart from being vague and ungrammatical it doesn't start with the standard "SP2-nnnn" prefix, for example:
SQL> x
SP2-0042: unknown command "x" - rest of line ignored.Can you copy and paste the exact commands and results you get?

Hi, I have installed vmware 5.5 hypervisor on hp G8 microserver. I have created one vm as windows 2008 R2. I have also install vmware workstation 11 on this vm. In this workstation when I tried to run vmware 5.5 hypervisor I come across "This virtual machine is configured for 64-bit guest operating systems. However, 64-bit operation is not possible. This host does not support Intel VT-x" this statement. Which shows that the host machine does not support virtualization and for that you need to go in Bios and enable it but in present case as host machine is also a vm and you would not find much detail of Bios when you log into the Bios therefore, I am pretty much stuck here. I don't see any information in relation to this. Now my question is:
1. Can we run ESXi inside a vm which is already sitting on ESXi?

Hi,
I am using Start-Transcript and Stop-Transcript in Orchestrator.
Ex:
Start-Transcript
"Demo"
Stop-Transcript
But it is not running. It is always throwing me " This host does not support transcription. " error
in orchestrator as well as in PowerShell ISE.
The same thing is working in PowerShell cmd.
Can any one help me in doing this.

RD120 6447 giving 'host does not support passthrough configuration'

I have an rd120 6447 rack mount lenovo server that gives the message 'host does not support passthrough configuration' when going to advanced hardware settings on an esxi 5.1 installation. Does the rd120 support virtualization features? Is it simply to old to support this or is there a bios option to enable to enable passthrough?

VMWARE host does not support VT

My system is HP Pavillion DM3. I want to run Pi 7.1, when I start Virtual machine I got error 'VMWARE host does not support VT'.
Please suggest me.
PI7.0 server is running my in system, but for PI7.1 these error is showing.
Could you please help me out.

QOS: egress police command not supported in non-leaf classes

I have issue with egress policers on EFP (Service instance).
When configure two egress policers on EFPs (on one physical interface), I received a message:

Platform supports three level hierarchy - Port, VLAN and Class.
Class is the leaf level.
Queuing is done only at the leaf level.
You need to attach your policy to the port level policy so that it can be a two level policy.
Three Level Class-default Policy Example:

HOST command not working in forms 10g

Hi,
I have migrated forms 6i to forms 10g, and having a requirement to open sqlplus prompt using a form menu. I have used the below command: -
"host('sqlplus '||user_name||'/'||pass||'@'||sid, no_screen);"
But I am not able to get the sqlplus window, and the main form is still in process for long time, till i bounce the server.
The forms are deployed on Oracle Applications Server 10g and i want to run it on server side.
Please help me with the problem.

The deployment architecture is different between forms 10g and forms 6i.
In Forms 6i HOST built-in command will run on the client machine since you are running as client/server, but in WebForms (Forms10g) the HOST built-in command will run on the middle tier which is your application server machine.
In order to run hosts commands in WebForms you need to use webutil and use CLIENT_HOST in the webutil.
check the [Forms 10g R2 Demo|http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/demos/Forms_Demos_10gr2.zip] for sample codes of webutil.
You are using NO_SCREEN in your example, this will hide the window.

Host command not showing the output

I am not able to view the host command's output from sqlplus(i am using an windows XP OS).
The commands i tried:

WbAdmin Delete Backup command not supported in 8.1 Pro x64

I've searched for how to delete specific backups that I've created using the elevated Power Shell command "wbAdmin start backup -backupTarget:E: -include:C: -allCritical -quiet" but I've run into a roadblock.
The problem is that none
of the "wbadmin delete xxx" commands are actually supported in Win8.1 Pro 64-bit (6.3, Build 9600). If I type "wbadmin delete /?", I get:

I have looked at the cmdlet reference page tried to use the commands but it appears that they do not work on my system. For example:

Host command not working properly

I am using oracle forms 10.1.2.0.2.
In my form, I need to call a unix shell script.
{ Oracle forms will run on application server.
Unix will run in a development server.
(Both the servers are different)
From forms, if I click a button, it should call the unix shell script in a specified path.
Internally, the unix script will call oracle to generate a file.
In the file, some manipulations are done using unix.
After doing some manipulations, the file is stored in a specified path in the unix box. }
To achieve the above, I did the below things.
To execute a unix shell script from my oracle forms (10g),
1) the below configuration i added in the webutil.cfg file

HOST command not working

Oracle AS Version 10.1.2.0.2, Oracle Forms Version 10.1.2.0.2, Windows XP.
I am using HOST command to read a files from the directory (on the server). But HOST does not working. When i click the button to read the file, it just hangs on and no error on the console.
Does host work on forms 10g?
actually i was using client_host of webutil and its working fine. But it pick the directory from the client. Whereas i need to pick it from the server where AS is. That why i went for HOST command.
Any suggestion.

Try this.
1. Create a batch file (which would first set the required variables as when you do the "set".)
2. Add the following to the batch file.
C:\javasoft10g\jre\bin\javaw -classpath C:\javasoft10g\jre\lib\rt.jar;C:\javasoft10g\paths;;C:\javasoft10g\paths\dusjava.jar; %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7Save the batch file in some location (say c:\mybatchscript.bat).
From forms, call it like
host('cmd /c c:\mybatchscript.bat > c:\temp\testlog.log' );Now, does it work?

P.S : Looks to me like, you are setting some variables (or calling another batch file - set , which sets up the variables). So, make sure you set all the required variables in the batch script itself.

it seems that logic is the only host that does not support midi plugin output.
something to do with the AU spec, lets hope that apple add support for these type of plugins sometime in the near future.

Logic 8 is the first version that actually feels like it was built for HUMANs.
In short, I'm afraid that building a step sequencer in the environment really does not qualify as an option.

IChat - Host does not support Kerberos authentication

I have been trying but with no success to set up an iChat server on 10.6. Our OS X server is bound to AD and will hopefully be using AD to authenticate the iChat clients. I have followed Apple's guide on commenting out the  section of the c2s.xml file which hasn't solved our problems. Open Directory isn't running as a master it is connected to another directory (our AD directory), and as a test I set up a Wiki server on the same box and this does allow us to authenticate against AD.
The error message we are receiving in iChat is "The host example.com does not support Kerberos authentication. The client is set to use Kerberos, the username format is [email protected] all I think the correct settings.
Under iChat General Settings on the server the Host Domain is example.com, SSL Certificate: No Certificate, Authentication: Any Method, and Enable XMPP server-to-server federation is enable for all domains.

Does "aaa accounting commands" not support radius?

When I issue this command:
aaa accounting commands 15 default start-stop group myradiusgroup
I get this error: %AAAA-4-SERVNOTACPLUS: The server-group "myradiusgroup" is not a tacacs+ server group. Please define "myradiusgroup" as a tacacs+ server group.
No where in the documentation could I find anything saying the "commmands" accounting type is only available to tacacs+. Does aaa not support this accounting type for radius?

The Cisco implementation of RADIUS does not support command accounting. So that's the reason you are getting that error. Please use TACACS if you want to use this.
