Square Spots in Mail Interface-Any solution?
This problem came with Leopard. (At least in my case)
Every time Mail download messages, when the last throbber meets the bottom (by the status bar), a black square appears on it.
Eventually the square spot will appear also at the top, on the tool bar, right when the first throbber starts spinning.

And in IMAP mail server ctrl+shift+M (to copy same mail to target folder ) shortcut is also not working.
POP account do not sync. They are one way communication from the server. There is no need for s sync option with POP.

In Yosemite Mail, the control click option no longer works when clicking on attachments, that previously allowed you to save, quicklook, and select app to open with etc. Any solutions?

It shows just 4 always as an option in the "open with" lsit. Also I haven't downloaded any apps for a while so why would it start now?

I've been running an Iphone4 since it first came out. My company supports Exchange e-mail with Active Sync. About 70% of the times I reply to or create an e-mail I see the message "Sending e-mail" and it basically stalls out after a few minutes and nothing ever gets sent. To workaround it I kill the mail app and try again. Sometimes more than a few times to get my e-mail to send. I've also noticed that when downloading e-mail it sometimes stalls as well. Almost every time I do a manual fetch of e-mail it takes forever to pull anything down. I've rebooted the phone, did the airplane mode thing, kill and restart the app as workarounds but it pretty much ***** having to do all that just to get e-mail to work. Any solutions out there?
As background I'm running an Iphone4 w/bumper and I just upgraded the OS to 4.3. I've had it jailbroken just to see if that helps any (and it didn't) but now I'm back to standard OS. I don't have any other e-mail accounts besides my Exchange account. I'm set to sync mail 2 weeks back. If i delete mail in G-mail than automatically delete in Thunderbird, How can I prevent from this there is any solution to remain mail in thunderbird?
If you have a gmail IMAP mail account, you need to understand tht you are remotely viewing the server folders, so basically the folders you see in Thunderbird are the same folders you see when you use webmail - (logon to google account via browser).
If you want to delete emails off the server, but keep those specific emails accessible in Thunderbird, then you need to move/copy them from the Thunderbird IMAP gmail mail account and store them in Local Folders account in suitably created folders before you delete them from the IMAP mail account. -
I configured Yahoo! id in OSX mail, I noticed that sent mails are stored on Mac and not getting stored on Yahoo! sent (server) although I gave the option to store on server in preferences, is there any solution?

Why does Maverick mail no longer search properly?
I used to search for a name and it would find it in One or All mailboxes. Now it sometimes works, but mostly not. Any solutions?I would like to add that Comcast is my internet provider. Perhaps that is part of the issue although the Connection Doctor confirms the mail box is connecting to the internet. No other function processes when Connection Doctor program is used to find the source of the issue. I have read forum posts but am unable to find a way to get my Apple mail to be delivered to my computer. It worked fine up until I chose to transfer mail to the Cloud. My mail account is a .mac account.
Still hoping someone out there can help me.

I can't receive my incoming mail in Mac Mail. ESP is yahoo. Error msg says unable to connect with POP server. Any solution? I am able to get my incoming messages via yahoo website but not through the Mail app.

Is Yahoo your Internet provider? Do you have a local provider? ei:AT&T, SBC, cable co, check who you make your check or epatment to...etc, If so I would start there, but if no joy go to the "Mothership"
I may be wrong about this, (it's been a long time now) I may have deleted my mail account from Mail (after writing down all the info from all General/accounts, and the rest of the tabs, and then added a new account using my existing email address, and it may have "walked me thru the rest of the proceedure".
But like I said it was a long time ago 3-4 years, but that may have been the path I ended up taking, make sure to write all the info down in case you need to re-enter it all manually. Then try calling them.

I was researching ways you might be able to save that email to a picture or export it and found this little gem in the iPhone Users Guide, found here: http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf about how to take a screenshot.
Its on page 12 toward the middle:
Take a screenshot: Press and release the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button  at the same time. The screenshot is added to your Camera Roll album.

I have downloaded the iOS6 software on my iPhone4 and now I can't delete/move or create new mail. The bar at the bottom has disappeared. Does anyone have any solutions?
Hold Power and Home buttons until iPhone restarts. Ignore "Slide to Power off".

Old mail in Lion OS X is not loading. Any solution?
I have upgraded Snow Leopard to Lion, and now in mail, and I can receive and send email. However, I cannot load to view my old email (pop) which had been received in Snow Leopard. I see the list of old emails, but it just doen't load. I can't locate the mail folder either. And I didn't have a back up. Is there a way to retrive the folder, in case it was deleted during the upgrade? Any solution??

Gmail question. I'm getting an error message that states my username or password are incorrect. I haven't changed anything and the gmail is working fine on the mac book. The mail function worked yesterday on the iphone but not today - any solutions??
Try Restarting / rebooting your Mac before doing anything more drastic..

My mail program does not update when I delete emails in my other email programs (i.e. it still shows messages in my mail inbox when I've deleted them). I think this started with Maverick? Any solutions?
one is gmail, one is a university email and they are both IMAP accounts (not that I know what that means)....
