SRM 7.0 Advanced Search Object Type

Dear All,
We use SRM 7.0, I want to remove some object types from Advanced Search options in Portal. For example, in standard advanced search, you can select shopping card, confirmation, purchase order, contract... etc. And i dont want some emplyees to see all purchase order or contracts.
How am i going to delete for example purchase order option from advanced search ?
Best regards,

Hi
Advanced search drop down menu is based on SPRO configuration
SRM server -- Cross application basic settings -- POWL and Adv search
Here Standard object types will be defined as SAP entries under define objects types for advanced search.
Also, default application will be assigned for each object types.
If you deleted any of these standard object types, then that object type will not be available in advanced search for any SRM roles. However, that is not advisable to deleted standard objects.
Alternatively, if you want restrict certain group of users to access the some object types, you can control through the configuration powl_queryR which is query visibility at role level.
You can control the the same at user level if you want through powl_queryU

  • Portal Advanced Search – default business object

Within the Shopping Area for Employee Self Services, apart from changing the Application Parameter in the  Advanced Search iView, does anyone know if there is a way of configuring the Advanced Search in the backend of SRM to default to u2018Shopping Cartu2019 instead of u2018Conformationu2019?
    Thanks
    Claire

    Hi,
if you are using portal-independant navigation you can do the following.
Go to the corresponding PFCG role and open it in edit mode. On the tab "Menu" click on "Advanced Search" (normally found directly below "Home"). Call the context menu using the right mouse button and click on "Details". For the parameter SAPSRM_BOTYPE change the default value BUS2203 (Confirmation) to the business object you want to use as a default, e.g. BUS2121 for Shopping Cart. Then save the role.
If this doesn't work make sure that the user in question doesn't have other roles overriding this setting.

  • Remove details for web page object types in search results

Within the search results, the first 200 characters are displayed for documents, web pages, etc.. Web pages show the HTML code. Is there a way to hide these details for web pages but have them visible for all other object types?

The solution can be found in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2456976
    Download Secrets at http://secrets.blacktree.com/
Install the prefspane, select Safari in the left hand list, and uncheck "Use new URL completion list".
You need to log out and log in again for it to work.

  • Object type, how to search in OWB

    Hi,
We have got a list of object types, which will be affected from a license-change.
e.g.: XML Files as a target, Operators for pluggable mapping....
So how do I search for such object-types, to see, if we have such in our OWB-World ?
    thx for any hint.
    kancom

    Try this line instead
    query_type.Value ="*='Account'*";
    instead of
    query_type.Value ="Account";
Means make it like a search criteria like in SQL,ie., equals followed by single quoted sometext *='sometext'*
Let me know if that worked....

  • Customizing Search Results - Relevance, object type

    Hello,
We would like to customize our search so that it will always return pages first, then Global Links, then Documents. Each of these should then be sorted by relevance.
Can anyone suggest what might be the best way to accomplish this?
    Thanks!
    ~Kevin.

    Hi Kevin
Even I am working on similar UI customization of the search view, so that each object type result is grouped in a different table.
Kindly let me know how to achieve this

  • No POWL object types are assigned to you. Please inform your system admin

    Hi experts,
We are on SRM 7.0 and ECC 6.0.
We are using netweaver 7.0 (SP7) for our portal instance. SSO, UWL etc have been configured in the Portal.
Now when the user logs in to create a shopping cart and clicks on the Employee Self Service link, he gets the following error:
"No POWL object types are assigned to you. Please inform your system adminstrator"
What could be the resolution for this?
    Regards

    Hi Jay,
    Thanks for the update.
There were 2 roles for employee in portal. I changed the role. The one with details pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.srm.srm70/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_core/com.sap.pct.srm.core.fl_roles/com.sap.pct.srm.core.ro_employeeselfservice worked.
I did not have to maintain the settings for 'Defining query visibilty at role level'.
However now once the shopping cart has been ordered, I come back to check it's status under the ESS link, I see that it is awaiting approval, but when I try to open the SC, it does not open.
Also I am unable to open the SC if I search it under 'Advanced Search'.
Any inputs on what could be the reason?

    Hi,
You dont need to remove the authorization object from the User profile.
You jst need to modify data in Authorization profile.
I tried in my system and I was able to remove it.
    Please follow below step:
    1) T.code PFCG
    2) Give role /SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE (It can be any required role- If you are using customized role you have to pick up role accordingly) and click on change button
    3) Goto Authorizations tab
    4) Click on 'Change authorization data' at lower part of Authorizations tab, which will lead you to another screen
    5) Now expand the BBP component and SRM: Advanced search. Here you can see all the business object for Advance search.
    6) Now double click on object type BUS2203(Basically White color area)
    7) One pop up screen will come, there you can remove the required Business object.
    8)Once it is removed,save and Click on Generate(Shift + F5)
    9) Go n check the advance search option.
Let me know if you will stuck somewhere.

  • Help required to customize Simple/Advanced Search. Need to add new fields

    Hello,
    Module: Oracle Sales Online
    EBS version: 12.1.3
    Jdev version: 10.1.3.3
    Scenario:
    - We are dealing with standard oracle pages.
    - We have TWO "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH"s available. Each "Simple/Advanced Search" can be found by navigating through paths "A --> B" and "A --> B --> C --> D" . Here it means one "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" page is available at page "B" and another "SIMPLE/ADVANCED SEARCH" is available at page "D".
    - In the first search page which is at page "B", both Simple as well as Advanced search has a filter field "Win Probability %", of type VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100)
    - In second search page, referring to page "D", the Simple search DOESN'T have the "Win Probability %". And the Advanced Search page has the "Win Probability %" but it is of type - NUMBER/MessageTextInput type.
    Issue/Requirement:
    - The 2nd Simple/Advanced search pages need to have "WIN PROBABILITY %" field and it should be of VARCHAR2/DROPDOWN with values (10, >=10, <=30, 30, >=30, <=50, 50, >=50, <=70, 70, >=70, <=90, 90, 100) just like the way we had in 1st Simple/Advanced search.
    Note:
    - Again speaking we are dealing with standard oracle pages
    - If you go to the "About this Page", interestingly I found:
    i. The "message component layout" for both of them is from the same region , i.e., ASNOpptympSrchRN
ii. Rest of the search filters for both the searchs are from common View Object , i.e., OpptySearchVO1 (for Simple search), OpportunityDetailsVO1 (for advanced search)
iii. The "Stack layout" for both the search pages are same, i.e. XXMASOpptyQryCO
iv. None of the fields are rendered to false (everything is set to be rendered TRUE)
    Any response is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Anand

"XXMASOpptyQryCO is the name of stacklayout or CO?
    What is the CO?
Does both pages share same CO?
have you already extended the CO "XXMASOpptyQryCO"?
what is the original CO then? I think in that CO it must be written somewhere, simple search "search allowed = false""
-Here CO what you are referring is a controller.
    -FYI pages share same controller.
-And the original controller for both the pages are OpptyUwqCO. Right now its extended controller is XXMASOpptyQryCO
Fact is I didn't create this search page. It was built by some third party members. Also that I do not have the original source nor the documentation pertaining to it. So could you inform as in how should I navigate to the point "Search Allowed = True"
I should have informed that at "B" page, it has a region      /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNMgrOpptyQryRN and at page "D", the region is      /oracle/apps/asn/opportunity/webui/ASNOpptyQryRN

  • How to trigger a form based on object type and process type

    Hi all,
I am new into SRM.. I have been asked to develop a form by cloning an existing standard form..
Using bbp_output_change_sf badi you can trigger the form by passing the object type but the scenario is such that depending on the object type and process type the new form should be triggered.
The parameter iv_object_type passes the object type but how could i pass the process type ?
In the badi I noticed an import parameter is_event that has a field called transction_type that carries the process type but this field never got populated when i checked using debugger.
Please help as to how i can trigger the form based on the object_type and the process_type.
    Thanx in advance.

Thanx again Jay Yang.. Well is there any possibility that you could get the items that were confirmed..
    Let me eleborate..
Suppose in the PO u order an item for 10 nos and 5 gets confirmed and u return 2..
Well in my case it is that i need to fill up a field Qty returned / Qty confirmed..
I was able to get the number of items from the PO by passing the the passing the parameter to the FM "bbp_pd_conf_getdetaill"
but i dont know how to get the number of items been confirmed..
The quantity field in the line item structure gives me the number of items returned..
Can u tell me how to get the number of items been confirmed....

  • List of PM Orders by Equipment Object Type

    Hi SAP Gururs.
Is there any way to obtain a list of PM Orders by Tecnical Object Type?
When I use transaction IW38, It's impossible to fill Tecnical Object Type...
    Thanks in advance...

You can input some values in "Sort field" field for each technical object types in the master data of technical objects. Then search by sort field in IW38.
    For example,
Sort Field - PP001 for Object type: PUMPS
Sort Field - MO001 for Object type: MOTORS
Sort Field - EN001 for Object type: ENGINE
But this is possible only if you are not using Sort field hitherto. If this is the case you can use some other dummy fields like location etc. for the same purpose.
    Hope this helps.

  • Query Operator "IS" is not working good for object type "String"

    Hi,
I have a problem with advanced search. When the object type is String, and I want to search directly value (for exemple 'a') i have returned all value starts with 'a', even though I set Query Operator to "IS"
When I use Query operator "setByUser", and then set property to "IS", query behaviour is correct.
    Behaviour example for operator "IS":
    values: a, ab, abc
searching: 'a' --> expected results: a results: a, ab, abc
    Any sugestions??
    Sorry for my English
    Regards,
    Wojciech Mularczyk

    Syed,
Only under advanced search. The operator used for quick search is defined through two properties in JhsAdvancedSearch bean class:
    private String defaultStringOperator = "startsWith";
    private String defaultNonStringOperator = "is";
So, if you have a String attribute which holds numbers and you want to apply the "is" operator to this attribute, you can change the default value of "defaultStringOperator" by creating a custom template for searchBean.vm, and add the following property:
    <managed-property>
    <property-name>defaultStringOperator </property-name>
    <value>is</value>
    </managed-property>
Note hat you can already apply this technique in the current release.

  • Business Object Types for Z-tables

    hi
could anyone please guide me how to create business-object-types for Z-tables?
    thanks in advance
    regards
    pavan

    Hi,
Business objects (SWO1) are representations of business entities.
So it is impossible to ask I need to create a business object for a z-table, because that's not business specific.
Normally when you're faced with a BO issue, you first search for useable existing BO's. In there you also search if SAP has already provided the wanted functional requirement. If this is not present, you then search for a BO which is closest to the Functional requirement and then create a subtype of that BO en extend it to suit your needs (attributes, methods, events etc.) via delegation you can then also se it in sap standard.

  • POWL based Advanced Search

Hi all! I am confused over the below configurations for Advance Search:
Define Object Types for Advanced Search
Define Default POWL Application for Advanced Search
I tried to match the query with the one that I see when I run Advanced Search on the portal but could not see any similarity in the settings. For example, for business object 2201, the default query used is SAPSRM_AL_PURCHASING_03_01. I then run POWL_QUERY to view the layout and selection criteria of this query. However, it does not match the fields I see when I run Advanced search on business 2201 (Purchase Order).
I have also made sure that the user has the role with access to the application id assigned to SAPSRM_AL_PURCHASING_03_01 in the configuration 'Define Default POWL Application for Advanced Search'. The application id is SAPSRM_AS_PO.
Can someone please advise whether I am off the track or that I have missed out anything?
    Cheers!
    SF

I have digged further and carried out some tests. I think POWL for advanced search is only available with harmonized roles.
