SRM refresh

Hi Gurus,
We are on SRM5.0 using classic scenario. Our test system is outdated and requires refresh (copy of production system). However, we are not aware of all the SRM spacific activities to be done by our team.
Can anyone advice us on how to do the refresh activity?

    You have to change all the data on the middleware configuration tables to point to your new ECC system. I don't remember exactly which tables are but you can take a look to this:

    It explains how to do the Middleware Configuration between SRM and ECC. You should also do a master data transfer from ECC to SRM.

  • SRM 7 - How to make a custom field dynamically retrieved trigger a refresh?

    Hi all,
    we're working on a brand new installation of SRM 7.
    For contracts and purchase order, we created an enhancement on the webdynpro that manages header document data; in such view, custom fields are obtained dynamically and populate a Transparent container; by code, some tray group visually all the custom fields related to a specific section.
    Now, the task is quite general; some of these "dynamically retrieved" fields should refresh, when populated, the view.
    That is to say, in our context, that some custom field should automatically trigger the WDDOMODIFYVIEW method (which has been extended via overriding with an enhancement) when a value is inserted.
    This would be a simple task if the field is explictly visible in the layout screen, since I could easily associate an event to the field itself.
    But, since these custom field are automatically extracted in the WDDOMODIFYVIEW method, we don't know how to manage these field's behavior, e.g. after an input value has been inserted.
    Each dynamic custom field is a type ref to cl_wd_uielement; we wonder if we have a way to associate an event (e.g., onEnter) to such an element.

  • Data Consistency when Copying/ Refreshing ECC 6.0 and SRM-SUS 5.0 Systems

    We are planning a refresh / system copy of an ECC 6.0 and SRM-SUS 5.0 system
    The refreshes will be completed from backups taken of production systems refreshed onto the QA Landscape.
    I have referenced the following SDN thread that provides some guidelines on how to refresh R/3 and SRM systems and maintain data consistency between the systems using BDLS and changing entries that correspond to backend RFC destinations:
    [Is there a process/program  to update tables/data after System Refresh?;
    This thread is fairly old and relates to earlier versions of R/3 (4.7) and SRM (3.0).  We have heard that at higher system versions there may be technical reasons why a refresh canu2019t be performed.
    Does anyone have experience of completing successful refreshes of landscape that contain ECC and SRM systems at higher SAP versions (ideally ECC 6.0 and SRM-SUS 5.0)  Does anyone know whether it is technically possible?
    Are there any additional steps that we need to be aware of at these higher SAP versions in completing the copy to ensure that the data remains consistent between ECC and SRM?

  • SRM 7.0 - auto refresh in the overview screen

    Recently in our SRM 7.0, SC(shopping cart)/Bid/invoice Overview screen is not refresh after SC/bid was posted, we always need to click on refresh button manually, is it possible to set it become auto refresh after SC/BId/Invoice was posted ?

    agree about performance however it's quite annoying if the user need to click on refresh button everytime SRM document was posted. So i'm still waiting if there's anyway to make it auto refresh.

    Hi. First set up the RFC destinations as you would normally, then run BDLS to change the logical system from the production one to your qualtity one.
    Then, run program RHOMATTRIBUTES_REPLACE to change the attributes that contain logical system, you can use the sub-string checkbox to just change the first part of the attributes.
    Finally check your middleware setting, you will probably need to delete the current site and create a new one pointing at the QA system.

  • Refresh problem in Shopping Cart and PO in  cost distribution in SRM 7.0

    Hi ,
    As of now we are working in SRM 7.0. Actually when we are changing the account assignment cateogary from WBS  to Asset  then the cost distribution need to be changed from Percentage to quantity and vice-versa. But this is not happening .
    Can somebody hlp on this if you guys came across such issue.

    Cost distribution will not change automatically when you change the account assignment category. You will ve to distribute it manually on the same lines as you did for Cost Center earlier

  • SRM 7.0 Database Refresh

    Hi everyone,
    We are going to be performing a database refresh from our production system down to our development system.  We would like to maintain the current org structure that is in development though.  Does anyone know what tables we would need to export / import during the refresh to keep the org structure the same?  Also, do we need to worry about the product category replications?
    If anyone has had any experience with this your advice would be very appreciated.

    Ok thank you.  Do you know anything about maintaining the same org structure that was in place already in our Dev system?  It is different than our production system as we do not have all of the users setup in Dev.  Also we have some test ID's in Dev that we would like to keep.  Do you know how to maintain the same org structure?

  • SRM User Cannot Refresh Field Qty if Changed

    Hi Experts,
    Sorry for the repost but I have not gotten an answer and still have the problem described below.
    Can someone please tell me where I should start looking. Since this only affects one user i don't think its a programming issue. 
    Is there a particular role that drives the ability to use the refresh button?
    I have a user who cannot change the qty field from the shopping cart. After making a qty change then refresh whatever qty was there remains. He can however chg the qty from the catalog before adding it to the sc.
    I have compared user attributes, roles and profiles. Is there anywhere else I should check?
    This also happens if I do a shop on behalf for his particular id.
    Any help is appreciated.

    The first step that Yann pointed out was running users_gen which indicated an error with the userid. This prompted me to recheck the user's attributes (which I had already done). The problem was the warehouse id was setup incorrectly. For example, BCAB instead of BCAB CCM. 
    Further, this user never actually placed an order himself. It was always someone else, a shop on behalf.  I'm surprised it in the first place.
    In summary, the attributes of the person placing the shop on behalf was validated even though the warehouse id of the user was wrong.  Running users_gen as a first step was the key.

  • Company code name is not getting displayed properly in SRM portal

    Hi Experts,
    I have an strange issue. In the ECC (Backend) system, my company code name is getting displayed correctly. But in the SRM portal, it is showing the old name.
    I have tried to run the report BBP_ATTR_TEXT_REFRESH. But the BUK attribute is not coming in the F4 help. I am using SRM 5.0
    Please suggest me any other way where i can refresh the company code name.

  • BC workset  in SRM 7.0 WorkFlow

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm configuring SRM7.0,when I created S/C or PO,I had documents in Awaiting approval status, all are in awaiting approval by the system and the approval process is automatic. For testing all SRM functionalities and so for time being, I don't want any Approval process for any document .
    I activated the BC set /SAPSRM/C_<BO>_600_000_SP04 for S/C as per thraed SRM 7.0 problem with workflow  , ...I refreshed or log on ...but still S/C shows in Awaiting Approval status .
    Can anyone suggest me , anything need to do further ,so that I can do testing all SRM documents w/o any approval process?

    I performed all settings in Process Controlled WF ->Tech Config  (and EV id 3EV_SC_600_000 for main object and BLANK for Process level Schema 3C_SC_600_000 and 3EV_SC_600_000 for  Process level Schema 3C_SC_700_002 at Level seq 999) suggested in this thread, and its working now  !!  Thanks.

    Hi, i have this problem, when user signs on in the SRM portal (SRM 3.0) and the shopping cart page suppossed to appears (after enters user and pwd), the following error displays:

    It seems some mandatory System configuration settings are missing.
    For time-being, please Try de-activating the active customer implementations of the BADIs BBPDOC_CHANGE / BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADIs and then try again the Shop process._
    Please try to look into RZ20, ST22, RZ10, and SLG1 transactions for any error logs generated.

    I have checked in ECC & SRM in table T006A (UOM languages). UOM "EA" is defined in ES (Spanish).
    Also in comm_hierarchy also i  chked for product category language maintenance and found maintained in EN,ES languages.
    u2018Ea unit of measure has not been created in the language ES u2018
    I have tried with sapanish (international sort,dominic,traditional sort)& rest of spanish spoken country languages but i am getting the same error.( IE- tools-general-languages & refreshed the page). u2018Ea unit of measure has not been created in the language ES u2018

    When are you getting this error ? i.e. while creation of shopping cart or process purchase order..
    I believe this issue is due to creation of UOM..which means EA UOM should be created with EA language.
