SRM WEBSURVEY - VIEW OF THE RESULTS

Dear experts,
We are implanting version 5.5 of the SRM and we are using the WebSurvey
functionality to send a questionary manually via transaction
BBP_EVAL_SURVEY.
We are able to create a survey, create a questionary, associate a
questionary to the survey and associate users to the survey as well.
After configuring the survey, we send the questionary to the user.
The user gets the questionary at his/her e-mail and respond it. We
configure a service user in SRM to receive the message (as the same e-
mail adress configured in SO50).
We checked that the message is reaching the service user´s inbox in
SRM, however the result is not being transfered to the WebSurvey.

Approx. one year we tried to do the same. We had just the results as you have (answers getting in inbox of service user, etc...). However when we tried pushing the results towards BW for reporting this was not possible. Reason was that the results are not getting stored in the different tables.
For this we opened a customer message to SAP. After discussions with development support of SAP (they also had some discussions internally) they replied to us that this functionality is not supported  (although something likely is said to be possible in config guide).
Below extract from message:

you trigger the sending of the questionare out from this transaction.
This is the reason why the parameters could not be saved.
The standard process for sending questionares via Email for example in
Confirmation:
- you confirm a purchase order as recipient.
- you can click on button "Evaluate Vendor " and then you can see the
questionare immediately or the questionare will be send automaticaly viaEmail to specified recipient, which should be customized in SRM.
Also it should be registered in SRM, to which transaction (confirmation,invoice or vendor list) do the survey and questionare belong to (please
ref. to page 26 in cofig. Guide).
As there is no error in the SRM functionality regarded to vendor
evaluation and as your request is a consulting issue, we suggest that
you contact the Remote Consulting section for further questions</i>

    Hello Everyone,
    I have a question and was wondering if someone can help.
    In IC Webclient, in a B2B scenario, I change the framework so that when it tries to call BuPaIbaseSearch view, calls instead IRecHistory.
    My intention is that when we need to identify an account, we show the views BuPaSearchB2B and the IRecHistory, side-by-side. OK.
    When we confirm an acount, I need to display the last five interaction records in the IRecHistory view.
    The problem is that when I confirm an acount (at BuPaSearchB2B), this view (IRecHistory) changes his buttons layout, but doesn't fill the table with the data. When if I go to somewhere else, no matter what entry in my navigation bar, and then return, the table is now filled.
    How can I fill this table, right after the confirmation of an account? Maybe a refresh of the IRecHistory view?? How can I manage that?
    Can somebody give me hints?

    I am not sure to understand what you are explaining. As far as I understand you have two frames and when you change somehing in one and you go to the other passing a table the last one does not get the values but when you return you have the table fill.
    Well, I am also working with frames and I have had the same problems with the attributes. Sometimes it was because they were "Auto", and other it was because the page was stateless instead of statefull. I am not sure enough as to explain you what is the rigth combination so I suggest you to try.

    hi, i have a bc view (sql only) inside an application module, how could i assign the results of view's query with an array of objects.

    Not sure if this is on target, but if you are using ADF BC the view object's query results are already in an array of objects. Reference the following document to view how the results are structured. You can programmatically then work with the results set using the ViewObject, RowSet, and RowSetIterator Interfaces. See the SRDemo Application Module services for some examples of this in action (demo is in JSF though, not Swing.)

  • In the evaluation mode im nt able to view my ocr result for more than 2 seconds

    im doing my final year project on image processing using labview 2010(evaluation). im using a microsoft webcam(VX-700). my objective is character recognition using vision. im able to capture an image and store the same. the software also recognizes the characters after training the characters in vision assistance. but im not able to view the result string for more than 5 seconds. i really want to have some support regarding this issue. i've attached the program what i've used with this message. plz do help me with this issue asap.

    Our network is very stable and we aren't seeing any problems with anything else and besides, these worked fine until we did the update.
    The wifi access point is in the same room about 6-8 ft. away and it's kind of hard to connect an appletv by ethernet to an iPad. 
    The appletv runs fine using it's built in applications, like Netflix, Disney, Radio, etc.
    All of this makes me think it's not a wireless problem, but it's something in the appletv software after doing the update that won't hold the iPad connection.
    I appreciate your suggestions and will pass your information along to our network person.
    Any other ideas?

    I don't believe you can use the OOTB Datasheet view when joining lists. However, you should be able to increase your limit from 30 items to as many as you need (that doesn't trip the threshold set in Central Admin).

    Yes, you can print the response in a PDF by following the steps suggested below.
    1) Go to the response file
    2) Select the response you want to print
    3) Click on Save as PDF button and it would save the selected response in PDF format.

    Here's an easy way:
    Pick the user that you want to eliminate (making sure that the remaining user has administrator privileges) and move all of the data that you want to keep into the Shared folder. Reboot or log out and login to the user you want to keep. Copy all the data from the Shared folder into your account - placing it neatly in folders (Documents, Music, Movies, etc.).
    Once the data is moved, log into the account you want to delete just once more to make certain that you've grabbed all the data you want to keep. Log out and log back into your admin account and go to System Preferences>Users & Groups and delete the 'old' user.
    That should do it.

    This program works fine, but when I create my query, I can just see the result in abap list.
    When I choose "abap list viewer" or "Excel format", the result is more like :

    Is there a way to show the result in the viewer ?
    I added a "WRITE :/ <column1>, <column2>, but the result is the same.
    I also wonder if we can do a "group by " in ABAP.
    And do you know how to make a condition " where my_date < today -19 days" ?

    in bw side, you create a abap program to trigger an event in r/3,
    and include this abap program in your process chain, the abap program like
    CALL FUNCTION 'BP_EVENT_RAISE'
    EXPORTING
    eventid = 'ZRUNJOB_DEL'
    and in r/3 schedule the program to delete previous data with 'after event',
    the event name is same as raise by bw process chain, in this sample ZRUNJOB_DEL.

  • Inconsistent results using the "places" view on the iPad with geotagged photos

    I am getting inconsistent results with geotagged photos on the iPad (both 1 and 2) OS 5.01.  It seems that sometime photos will show up in the correct location on the places view others will not ( they will not show up at all).  In fact I can have a geotagged photo in one folder, synch with iTunes and it will not show up in the places view and then move that same picture to a different folder (which becomes an album on the iPad) re-synch and it will now show up at the correct location in the places view.  All photos show up in the album view.  Everything is the latest version iTunes, iPad etc.  I can also have many photos geotagged exactly to the same location (exact same coordinates) some will show up, others will not.
    I have used different methods to geotag my photos.  At first I was using Photoshop Elements 8 until they stopped supporting geotagging photos.  Now I am using a third party application GeoSetter (excellent free application).  The GPS data is clearly in the Exif data but the results are not consistent.
    Any ideas? 

    I believe I have solved this problem myself and thought others might benefit from what I found.  It turns out to be what I believe as a glitch in iTunes.  iTunes creates a cache of all the photos that you synch with your iPad, iPhone etc.  Apparently it does not update that cache when you change the photo.  At least not the Geotagging data.  The file modify date was changing but that wasn't enough to cause iTunes to update the cache of the photos.  I deleted the cache of all the photos and re-synched and presto now all my photos where showing up at the correct location in the iPad "places" view.
    I might add that I called Apple tech support and was routed to a higher tier support person and was very disappointed with his response.  He basically told me that the "place" view in the iPad and iPhone was designed to be only used with an Apple computer and Apple software and was surprised the places view was working at all with pictures synched with a Windows based machine.  He also said he was unable to help me since he couldn't provide support for non-Apple products.  Although I understand this to a point I think he was too quick to make this decision.  The solution after all was a simple one and one I think he should have known.  I would think this cache problem would happen whether I was using Apple products as well.  I view this as a bug in iTunes.  Apple needs to compare the modified date of the file and update the cache if it has changed.

    Does anyone know if there is a log available that will show the SQL that is sent to the server during a DataRetrievalRule?.
    I had my rule working at one time, and now my values are returning blank.
    So I am hoping that there is a log somewhere so that I can see what is going on.

    The idea here is to not drag and drop a datastore as a target, but to create this datastore directly in the interface. You can then use this interface as source of another interface.
    here is the doc... Let me know if you need more help.
    Target Datastore
    An interface can have only one target datastore. There are two possibilities for this datastore:
    A permanent datastore, corresponding to a datastore that already exists in a model.
    A temporary datastore, that does not yet exist in a model, and which will thus be created dynamically by the interface, in either the work or data schema of the logical schema of the Staging Area specified on the Definition tab of the interface.
    The target datastore, with the mapping for each column, is displayed on the right of the Diagram tab.
    To edit the properties of the target datastore, click on the datastore title. The properties panel will appear at the bottom of the window.

    we have installed OBIEE in a linux host. I am able to start the server and I am able to login. During the creation of report,.. after selecting the columns, when I press on the result , I see the following exceptions ..

    State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 16023] The ODBC function has returned an error. The database may not be available, or the network may be down. (HY000)
    SQL Issued: SELECT "Event Facts"."Event Id" saw_0, "Event Facts"."Event Date" saw_1 FROM APPS ORDER BY saw_0, saw_1
    I have just checked if OC4J server , BI server and JAVA HOST service started properly. only JAVA HOST service did not seem to start properly. I have checked the <OBIEE Installation Directory>//OracleBIData/web/log/javahost.out.log
    It has the following error "List of process IDs must follow -p."
    Please let me know what could have been the problem causing this error.

    Actually, I have installed the OBIEE in Linux. I have directly ported the RPD file that I have created in my local windows system onto the OBIEE in linux host. I am not aware of any setup that needs to be done prior to start working on this. Can you please let me know what are all the changes to be done in odbc.ini or point me to any resource which has those details.

    You can download the PDF that you are wanting to look at. In safari if there is a link to a pdf you can usually Control Click or Right Click and select to save it to the desktop. From there, you can open the PDF with Acrobat.
    If i'm not mistaken, though, PDF's will default to Apple Preview, so if you want PDFs to open with Acrobat by default, you can set it that way by highlighting a PDF then hitting (Apple) I. In the Info pane, expand the "Open With" field, set the program to Acrobat, then tell it to Change All if you want all PDFs to default to Acrobat.
    Hopefully that will help!
