SRX400 problem, WTR54GX4 G-Only Mode?

Devices:
WUSB54GX4 wireless adapter with SRX400
WRT54GX4 wireless router with SRX400
Problem:
Wireless adapter drops association when router is toggled from MIXED mode to G-ONLY mode. In addition, the linksys monitor always reports 11Mbs. Appears as if the wireless adapter is 802.11b only.
Additional Info:
Works fine while router is in MIXED mode. Router firmware and wireless adapter driver are both current. Have uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times. Switching to Windows XP 'zero configuration' utility makes no difference.
Anyone else seen this, or have any suggestions?

hi....yes i have seen this before....and i was not able to use the G only mode....though it was not necessary for it...never got the 11Mbps though....works at 54Mbps for me on all wireless PC's in the mixed mode...
my wireless setting are :-
SSID :- my own
channel - 11
beacon intereval = 50
RTS :- 2306

VirtualBox 4.0.2 internal DHCP problem in Host-only mode?

Hi,
dos anyone have experience problems with VirtualBox 4.0.2 internal DHCP not working when running Oracle Linux and a Host-Only adapter.
More detailed described my problem is that Oracle Linux don't get a ip from the internal DHCP server om my system. My host is Win 7 (64 bit) and Guest Oracle Linux (64 bit). I have read that there are several ohers who experienced the same problem with the open source version, but that patching the Guest Tools to 4.0.3 helped them. Sadly this is not the case for me. Any suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance.

Thanks for your reply - my problem is that the build in dhcp server is not working for some reason and i dont't gen any ip address assigned. I can see from the VBoxManager that it is running, but i can't get i contact with it from the linux guest.

Query-only mode problem

Hello everybody, I'm a new user on this forum and in this thread I wanted to inform you about my problem and its solution.
Problem: everytime I created a form with 10g version on DB 9i, at the moment of "Run Form", I always run in this message "FRM-40208: Form running in query-only mode. Cannot change database fields.". Obviously I couldn't nor add a record nor edit it.
After some days spent searching for a solution, on this forum I read a post by an user talking about a very similar prob but not properly the same. Anyway, I decided to write an email to RV, an italian user who was very helpful in that situation.
In less than an hour, he wrote me back: "Check preference in menu forms builder, you'll find a tab, if checked it gives query only mode". He also write me to post the problem and his solution on the forum.
This morning he wrote me several mails telling me in a rude manner that I didn't posted the problem and not to write to him anymore.
So, I'd like to tell to Rosario: dear Rosario, I thank you for your solution, and I hope that in the future you will be so kind to give users also the time to write down the problem and solutions, as I am doing now.

I would mean only you, even if it is not worth of it, the time to write an email you have found, while the time to share the information,as I had told you, with the other forum's users, you didn't have for it.
And then,i tell again you not to write me more, and rather I add, for the first time, reformed of you to have answered you.

Problem:Member is Read only Mode after login with other user

Dear,
I am facing problem to enter the data in member. i.e Read only. but same member is fine with login with admin user.
I also assign the security with write permission to user. but the only that member "X" is in read only mode..
Is task list can effect on that??? as i am also using task list. Becoz when i add another member that is not member of that hirechiary its fine.
I am working on hyperion version 11.1.2.1..

Thanks, Problem has been solved myself becoz when i add new member in the form as this form is already part of Planning Unit Hierarchy , that's why the newly added member in the form can't be write only till up to when u add this member into Planning Unit Hierarchy.

Data entry form problem - form in query-only mode

Hi there,
I am trying to create an data entry form to insert recordacross 2 out of 3 tables. The last of the four tables already have details and does not need to have record inserted into.
This is the scenario, my four tables are Factory, Employee, Works_in. Works_in resolves a many to many relationship between Factory and Employee
Now for a person to be employed in a factory, he must be assigned to a factory.
I have a list of factories already in the database. After choosing a factory from the database, I want to insert records to do with his Fname, Lname, Hiredate bla, bla, bla to the Employee table.
I have a single form with Factory as the master, and 2 tabs each for Employee and Works_in.
After linking all my tables with the ability to choose a factory first on the master form from a combo box and after inserting records into the other forms, it says form running in query-only mode.
What do you think?

I think that's too much of the wrong information.
It sounds like you have multiple forms. Are they Modal or Non-Modal?
What code do you use to call the form that's not working?
Does it work initially and then stop working?

Issue regarding open word file and read only mode using c# & MS-word interop

i am programmatically open a word file for search and highlight keyword. my routine is working fine. the problem is when i am opening the file programmatically then a dialog come and ask me to open file in read only mode. the dialog look like below one
actually i do not want to open the file in read only mode because people can open and like to change and save. so guide me what i can do to not to open the file in read only mode.

I know it's a very old issue and I reached to this page looking for a solution. Finally, I have found a fix to this problem.
The problem is that we create an instance of Word and do not close it correctly. This makes program believe that the file is already open and hence you're getting the respective message of file being locked by you.
Set the visibility of your application to true and then when you close it both file and instance should close and you will not get the problem again.

I am not able to use Firefox with Sharepoint - I can only open a file in read-only mode and cannot checkout the document and edit.

I would like to use Firefox with Sharepoint.
However, I am only able to open a file in "read only" mode whch means I cannot edit the document and save it. I am also not able to "check-out" a document in Sharepoint and edit it at the same time.

This may not work for everyone, but I solved this problem by clicking on the file name in sharepoint, not the document icon to the left of the name. This then brought up the various options, including checking out, editing, version history etc. It seems obvious but I have only just realised this!

Called form in query only mode shows messages....

I am calling a form (say B ) in query only mode from a main form (say A) . When i query the called form B , i get 5-6 alerts (which has to be acknowledged by the user) and messages of the same error type saying :
"FRM-40208 : Form running in query only mode . Cannot change database fields. "
I have a 100 forms to be called from the main form A. So, I prefer not to change anything in the called forms . I tried to set message_level in the form A and code the on-error / on-message triggers to avoid the messages being shown, but nothing is working . Is there anything I can do in Form A i.e the main form ???

Since the error messages are being generated by form B, it is unlikely you will be able to fix form B problem using form A. Unfortunately, you may have to fix each of the 100 called forms.

How to display the "display values" in READ Only mode for a SHUTTLE

    from DEPTIn normal mode..it displays the department name and internally store the Deptno..
Now I converted this item to Read Only mode using Read Only Condition Type
the problem is as soon as it becomes read only...it displays the deptno....not the department name

It seems feature. Shuttle is span tag when it is read only.
Work around could be that
you compute display as text item with LOV display value according shuttle session state and show shuttle and this item conditionally depend case

check the administrator guide in your SAP Business one->Documntation->system setup->Administrator guide...
but removing DB read only user is impossible.....

After lots of interaction and inputs in my previous thread,
Customization Done for 2 level approval of leave in ESS but Facing Problems
       Our Team had decided to make the Team Calendar in Leave Request Approval Screen in Read-Only Mode (more precisely modus=TeamView)
       My question is, is it possible to achieve the same, because instead of adding custom validations using Custom RFC, If it is possible to make the Team Calendar as Read-Only than it will help us to achieve our goals. Please do let us know that is it possible? and, if Yes, How to achieve it?
      On leave request approval screen, we want Approver to take any action via "Show Worklist" and No User Action allowed on Team Calendar (Disabled but not InVisible).

Error when opening XLSX file with Excel 2003 SP3, file does open but in read only mode with temporary name

I am using Excel 2003 SP3 and have the Office 2007 compatibility pack installed. When I open Office 2007 formatted Excel files (XSLX) directly in Windows Explorer, I receive the following error if I do not have Excel already opened:
"Windows cannot find '<path to file>'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search."
Even though I receive the error, the file does open; however, it opens in Read Only mode with a name such as "Xl0000024.xls". The number seems to increment up each time it happens.
Now here is the strange part. If I have Excel already open and try to open the file in Windows Explorer, the file opens fine in Modify mode with no error and with the correct file name.
I Googled the error I was getting and found KB211494. It says I should uncheck the box in Options on the General tab that says "Ignore other applications", but this box is already unchecked in my case. Any other ideas? This is
really frustrating as a small percentage of our company has upgraded to Office 2007 with the rest still on Office 2003.

This may be a file association problem. To solve that:
In Windows 7:
1. Right-click the file,
2. Select "Open With"
select [Your Program Here]
3. Check always use this program.
In Windows XP:
1. Locate the file as you have described above
2. Right click the file
3. Select Open with from the pop-up menu
4. Click Choose default program…
5. Select Excel in the Recommended Programs box
6. Check Always use the selected program to open this kind of file
7. Click on OK.
1. Make Excel not available from Office 2007 listed under Programs and Features in Control Panel.
2. Take a registry backup using the steps given here
3. In the registry editor window expand HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and navigate to .xls right and delete it.
4. Exit Registry Editor
5. Undo Step 1 to make Excel available.
6. Restart the computer and verify it the issue is fixed.

How can I get my phone to always stay in CDMA Only mode?

I connect my phone via bluetooth to my Dodge UConnect system. When the phone is in LTE, after dialing, when the party answers, the phone hangs up and says "Call Complete" - thinking that the connection has been made and therefore the call can be terminated. Very frustrating and not at all useful for making hands free calls! To solve this problem the phone can be put into CDMA Only mode - and then it works fine ever time. However.... every time my phone is powered down/off and then back on, it auto resets itself back to LTE/CDMA. How do I make it stop changing every time it's powered off?

I'm glad to hear that you have found a work-a-round so that your device works while making calls meanwhile being connected to Bluetooth to your automobile.
At this time, based on the way the device was manufactured, there is no setting available that will allow this change to be permanent. When the device is rebooted, the settings may be adjusted which will require you to manually change back to CDMA only mode if needed.

Creating a 802.11g network with Base Station in "802.11n only" mode

I still have some legacy products running 802.11b/g, and want my Base Station to run in "n" only mode at 5GHz to keep the rest of the network as fast as possible.
My current strategy is to take an old 802.11g router, put it into access point mode, and connect it to the Base Station with an ethernet cable.
Unfortunately, this access point seems to fail frequently - connected devices can't find the access point, and rebooting the access point will temporarily fix the problem.
I'm wondering if an AirPort Express can replace the access point. It can run as "create a wireless network" in a mixed b/g/n mode. I would then cable it to the base station.
Will this slow down the remainder of the "pure" "n" network?

I was asking something similar in another thread. What I'd like to do is run my existing b/g AP as it is and enable an Airport Extreme Base Station in AP mode in n-only mode. Supposedly, you can do this.
