SSIS Catalog deployment not creating certificates

I am having a problem with a SSIS Project in the SSIS Catalog. When I schedule the package to run, I get an "Unexpected Termination" error.
If I look in the event viewer, I get the following error:
The SSIS Execution Process could not write to the IS catalog: SERVER:SSISDB Error details: Cannot find the symmetric key 'MS_Enckey_Proj_Param_13', because it does not exist or you do not have permission
If I check sys.symmetric_keys, this key does not exist.
If I check sys.certificates, I can see a certificate name MS_Cert_Proj_13, but no certificate named MS_Cert_Proj_Param_13.
We have recently upgrade the servers to SQL 2014 CU4 from SQL2012.  All the other projects that are working fine were created on SQL2012 and uploaded then.  This is the first project deployed since the upgrade.
I have created a new solution, recreated the parameters and copied the package into this solution.  I then built this and deployed it with the same results.
Any one seen similar or know how to fix this?
Thanks

I have managed to solve the problem.
The issues looks to have been caused by the upgrade process not changing the ssis catalog to use the new ssis service.  When you do the upgrade, it leaves the ssis service V11 in place, and adds the V12.  I think the catalog was still using V11.
I think there was a change in the way 2014 encrypts the data so it does not need the second symmetric key, but the V11 service needed this key.
To resolve, I detached the SSISDB which removed the catalog. I then created a new SSIS catalog and redeployed my projects.  All of these only created one symmetric key.  I think the recreate also forced the catalog to use the V12 service and everything
works fine.

    You are making the dn manual? Or you are filling the form?
    Why dont you try to run it in a windows Machine, install the Database client and it includes a Wallet Manager. I never seen a problem like you mentioned I've done this in Linux, Unix and Windows and haven't had any problem unless there is a missconfiguration or bad installation.

  • SSIS Catalog views are not executing from PROC calling from a service broker

    Hi Exprets,
    I have a package deployed on SSISDB (the new concept in MS SQL 2012, SSIS catalogs). I have t-sql code in which i will be able to execute SSIS package in SSISDB with no problems. But if i place the same t-sql code inside of a procedure which will be called
    by a service broker , the code is not executing.
    I am using the following code to execute a package in the SSISDB catalog
    Declare @execution_id bigint
    EXEC [SSISDB].[catalog].[create_execution] @package_name=N'LoadToABC.dtsx',
    @execution_id=@execution_id OUTPUT, @folder_name=N'ABC', @project_name=N'LoadToABC',
    @use32bitruntime=False, @reference_id=Null
    DECLARE @var0 NVARCHAR(200)
    = N'D:\MyData\SampleText20120830100001.txt'
    EXEC [SSISDB].[catalog].[set_execution_parameter_value] @execution_id, @object_type=30,
    @parameter_name=N'strFileName', @parameter_value=@var0
    EXEC [SSISDB].[catalog].[start_execution] @execution_id
    This code executes if run it alone or placed in a regular stored procedure , but not executes if i palce this same code inside of a procedure which is being called/executed by a service broker call like this:
    CREATE QUEUE dbo.SampleQueue
    WITH STATUS=ON, ACTIVATION
    (STATUS = ON, MAX_QUEUE_READERS
    = 1,
    PROCEDURE_NAME = spMessageProcSample,
    EXECUTE AS OWNER);
    The problem occurs if we call the SSIS catalogs inside a proc which will be calling through a service broker queue.
    I am running all these steps on my local instance of SQL SERVER 2012 in which i am the administrator.
    Please advice where i am doing wrong ?
    Thanks,
    Jyodhu.

    Hi ArthurZ,
    Thanks for reply. What i ment was i tried with all the "EXECUTE AS" options. but no luck.
    Can you please explain step by step if you can ? That would be great help.
    This is the error message from server log.
    Message
    The activated proc '[dbo].[spMessageProcSample]' running on queue 'FileTableDB.dbo.SampleQueue' output the following:  'The server principal "USA\cccsat1nmg" is not able to access the database "SSISDB" under the current security context.'
    I logged in with WIndows authentication (Admin) and i created all the objects including Integration services Catalog.
    Thanks,

    I have created a wcf cloud service which is being deployed on cloud through bitbucket repository.
    I want to create a .svclog file to trace logs on my azure local storage.
    For that, I have refered so many posts and finally configured my solution as below:

    I also tried to comment out element in ServiceDefinition.csdef file. but here, I am having build time error (The XML specification is not valid).
    In my case, I am pushing all source code to bitbucket repository and from there it is deployed to the azure "WebSite". Here is more details:
    I need help to know:
    Why my service did not creating .svclog file from local to azure?
    It's also not doing the same even it has been deployed to azure?
    On which location(container) I can get the .svclog file into local storage?
    Please suggest correct way or modification so that I can overcome with this issue. Please replay fast.
    Thanks.

    Hello _Adian,
    Thanks for response.
    I uploaded all my code on bitbucket repository and configured a website on portal using "Integrate source control" (please refer:  http://azure.microsoft.com/en-in/documentation/articles/web-sites-publish-source-control/).
    (NOTE: This is the way my client is following.)
    Here is the structure of my solution:
    1. a wcf service application (.svc)
    2. few class library projects
    3. Azure cloud service (with Project 1 as web role).
    Now whenever I push my updated code to bitbucket, It automatically deployed to azure.
    So, please suggest me how can I create a separate .svclog file into local storage (using above environment).
    I hope this info will helpful to you for answer.

  • Deploy packages developed in VS 2013 to SSIS catalog 2012 SP1

    Hi There!
    I have few packages that I developed in VS 2013 and recently got access to SSIS Catalog on a server that's SQL 2012 SP1. I tried deploying my packages to the catalog to test execution. Unfortunately the execution fails with message "...the version number
    cannot be greater than the current version number". I interpret the message as your SSIS packages were created with a version that's higher than what's supported by SSIS Catalog.
    Is there a property in VS 2013 that I can set to work around this error?
    (If possible, I would want to avoid manually re-developing the packages to SSDT/VS 2012 - which btw, works great!)
    Thanks!
    Paras Doshi (Blog: ParasDoshi.com | Twitter:
    @Paras_Doshi )

    Hi Paras Doshi,
    According to your description, you developed several SSIS packages with VS 2013, when you deploy the packages to SSIS 2012, you got the error message.
    The existing preview version of SSDT-BI for SQL Server 2014 is based on Visual Studio 2012. The commercial release of SSDT-BI is expected to be based on the newer Visual Studio 2013 in conjunction with the commercial release of the SQL Server 2014. SSDT-BI
    for Visual Studio 2012 only supports SSIS project of SQL Server 2012, SSDT-BI for Visual Studio 2013 only supports SSIS project of SQL Server 2014 as Arthur mentioned.
    You can load and run packages that were developed in SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2012, in the SQL Server 2014 version of SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT). When you add the package to an existing project, the package is permanently upgraded to the format that
    SQL Server 2014 Integration Services uses. When you open the package file in SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), the package is temporarily upgraded to the format that SQL Server 2014 Integration Services uses. If you save the change to the package, the package
    is permanently upgraded. Once saved in the format that SQL Server 2014 Integration Services uses, packages can no longer be opened in the corresponding SQL Server 2008 or SQL Server 2012 version of Business Intelligence Development Studio, nor run by the corresponding
    SQL Server 2008 Integration Services or SQL Server 2012 Integration Services tools.
    In this case, we need to recreate packages on SQL Server 2012.

  • Server 2012 CDP PKI Setup on Subordinate CA - Active Directory Certificate Services could not create an encryption certificate

    Hi,
    When I check pkiview.msc on my 2012 Subordinate CA I get the error shown in the first picture below. I'm also getting errors similar to below in the event log:
    "Active Directory Certificate Services could not create an encryption certificate.  Requested by contoso\admin1.  The revocation function was unable to check revocation because the revocation server was offline. 0x80092013 (-2146885613 CRYPT_E_REVOCATION_OFFLINE)."
    I'm assisting in setting up a 2 tier PKI infrastructure using Windows 2012. The root CA looks good, but we're getting errors on the subordinate. The server was working, but we discovered that the server would only issue certificates with a maximum of a 1
    year expiry date - obviously no good, so we decided to run through the following commands on the root CA (as recommended byhttp://www.techieshelp.com/subordinate-ca-increase-certificate-validity/)
    certutil -setreg ca\ValidityPeriodunits "Years"
    certutil -setreg ca\ValidityPeriod "5"
    restarted AD certificate services on the root and subordinate CA.Then did the following on the subordinate CA:
    1.On the Subordinate CA create a new CA request by right clicking the server in ADCS and select New Request.
    2.Supplied the original request file from the subordinate CA (I couldn't find a way of generating a new request file)
    3.Issued the certificate using the Root CA.
    4.On the Subordinate CA ADCS installed new CA cert.
    However, I keep on getting CDP or AIA errors on my subordinate CA.Also I'm missing a CDP field value when I look at the certificate listed in the personal and trusted certification authority store on my subordinate CA.
    In addition, when I look at my CDP locations in Certificate Authority, I see a lot of CDPs, but I'm not sure if I need them all - I suspect I could just get away with LDAP, the C:\windows path and a single http:// path.
    I've tried renewing the existing certificate and CRL on my subordinate CA, but that didn't work either.
    Please advise.
    Thanks

    Ok, the process to renew the subordinate CA is incorrect. Once the registry setting to change the validity period was made on the root CA, the root CA ADCS service needs to be restarted. That is the only time those keys are read. Then:
    1) On the subordinate CA, open the CA tool, right click the CA and select Renew CA Certificate. You can use the same key, no need to create a new one. It will create a NEW certificate request file
    2) Copy that to the Root CA and submit like you would have done during the initial install
    3) Approve the request and export the issued certificate
    4) On the subordinate CA, in the CA tool, right click the CA and choose Install CA Certificate.
    You can not reuse request files.

  • Field avaialble in field catalog but not when I try to create the condition

    Hi,
      I wanted to add a new table to a delivery output. I need the fields delivery type/ship point and destination country. I could see that destination country (LAND1) is not available in the field catalog. I added it from the list of available fields (in KOMKBV2) and can see it in the field catalog but not when I try to create the condition table. What else do I need to get this field ?
    Regards,
    Hari.

    Also add your new field to structure KOMBZ
    If you want to use a new field in the field catalog, you must add the field to KOMP or KOMK in the following INCLUDES:
    - header data in INCLUDE KOMKAZ in KOMK
    - item data in INCLUDE KOMPAZ in KOMP
    When you use INCLUDES, the field is automatically added to KOMG and the field catalog.
    The routines for assigning values to the new fields in order processing are found in member MV45AFZZ. Use the following user exits:
    - USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMK (header fields)
    - USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP (item fields)

    Hi,
    I just tried to deploy fulfillmentESB project(SOADemo Projects) from Jdev to Oracle App server control. But there was no webservice created in Oracle application server control under webservices link....plz help me...
    Actually the steps which i had followed to deploy that fulfillment project are:
    * right-click fulfillmentESB
    * select Register with ESB, Integration connection
    after which the fulfillment webservice can be seen in ESB control as well as application server control. But i could not able to see webservice created in application server control.
    Also i tried deploying the fulfillmentESB using EAR file - no use
    So kindly give me some steps to solve this issue...

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

    Hi.
    Usually, this happens when there is no JDK in the PATH system variable. JDeveloper and WLS will work, but some external tools will fail. Can you please ensure that you have a reference to the <tt>bin</tt> subfolder of a Java SE 6 JDK in it? You should get something like this when you execute <tt>java -version</tt> on the command line:
    java version "1.6.0_37"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_37-b06)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.12-b01, mixed mode)Best Regards,

  • All the SSIS Packages are not editable to the all users after deploying to the other server

    Hi All,
    I am using sqlserver2012.
    How to make all the SSIS Packages are not editable to all users after deploying to the other server. is there any way to achieve this,
    if yes, could share the information how to do....
    Thanks in advance....
    RamarajuC

    Typically, you change the protection level as listed in the following steps:
    During development, leave the protection level of packages set to the default value,
    EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey. This setting helps ensure that only the developer sees sensitive values in the package. Or, you can consider using
    EncryptAllWithUserKey, or DontSaveSensitive.
    When it is time to deploy the packages, you have to change the protection level to one that does not depend on the developer's user key. Therefore you typically have to select
    EncryptSensitiveWithPassword, or EncryptAllWithPassword. Encrypt the packages by assigning a temporary strong password that is also known to the operations team in the production environment.
    After the packages have been deployed to the production environment, the operations team can re-encrypt the deployed packages by assigning a strong password that is known only to them. Or, they can encrypt the deployed packages by selecting
    EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey or EncryptAllWithUserKey, and using the local credentials of the account that will run the packages.

  • "Could not create renderer with alias..." after deploying ResourceRenderer

    Hello everybody
    I've developed a custom ResourceRenderer class that looks like this:
    package no.expert.portal.km.relateddocs;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.Component;
    import com.sapportals.htmlb.Link;
    import com.sapportals.wcm.WcmException;
    import com.sapportals.wcm.rendering.resource.cm.ResourceRenderer;
    import com.sapportals.wcm.repository.IResource;
    public class RelatedDocsNamePropertyRenderer extends ResourceRenderer
         protected Component renderContentLink(com.sapportals.htmlb.Component comp) throws WcmException
              Link result = (Link) super.renderContentLink(comp);
              result.setTarget("");
              return result;
         protected Component renderContentLink(IResource resource, com.sapportals.htmlb.Component comp) throws WcmException
              Link result = (Link)super.renderContentLink(resource, comp);
              result.setTarget("");
              return result;
    All it does, really, is preventing links to documents in KM to open in a new window. At least that's what I'm hoping it will do, as it's based on ideas in <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=20316">this post</a>.
    I've added all the necessary .jar files, and implemented a wrapper portal service as described here: <a href="http://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/nw_kmc/ide/projects/Setting%20Up%20a%20KMC%20Project.html">http://media.sdn.sap.com/html/submitted_docs/nw_kmc/ide/projects/Setting%20Up%20a%20KMC%20Project.html</a>.
    I've created an alias for the class in <i>Content Management -> User Interface -> Mapping</i>, and assigned this to the resource renderer settings that I use.
    OK, here is where the trouble starts. When viewing the layout set with debugging on, I check <i>Rendering Information</i>. It informs me that <i>"The given configuration was not used, because the alias is not defined or points to an invalid java class"</i>. Looking in the log, this is the error message:
    Could not create renderer with alias ZRelatedDocsNameResourceRender and classname no.expert.portal.km.relateddocs.RelatedDocsNamePropertyRenderer:java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sapportals/wcm/rendering/resource/cm/ResourceRenderer

    I have a suspicion this might have something to do with the SharingRefernce in portalapp.xml, but after experimenting with different values, I'm no nearer a solution. Any ideas, anyone? Any help greatly appreciated.
    -martin
    Yes, and here is my portalapp.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <application>
      <application-config>
        <property name="SharingReference" value="com.sap.netweaver.bc.crt,knowledgemanagement"/>

      </application-config>

          <component-config>
            <property name="ClassName" value="no.expert.portal.km.relateddocs.RelatedDocsNamePropertyRenderer"/>
          </component-config>
          <component-profile/>
        </component>
      </components>
      <services>
        <service name="BootStrapNamePropertyRender">
          <service-config>
            <property name="className" value="no.expert.portal.km.relateddocs.BootStrapNamePropertyRender"/>
            <property name="startup" value="true"/>
          </service-config>
        </service>
      </services>
    </application>

    Hi Gourab,
    Double check the the page.xml has referring to the correct CO. Open the page.xml and see which controller is attached to it.
    Also attach the extended controller through personalization to the page/Region.
    Thanks

  • SSIS Project Deployment : Getting error "query the operation_messages view for the operation identifier"

    Hello,
    I have developed SSIS package and using Project Deployment Model.
    I have created a Folder under the SSISDB in Integration Services Catalog.
    Then, Right click on the Project folder and Deploy Project, Selected the .ispac file and clicked Deploy.
    It gives me below error.
    Can anyone please help me on this?
    I tried deploying it several times but getting the same error message. I searched for forums and tried below things:
    http://capstonebi.blogspot.in/2012/09/ssis-2012-deployment-frustrations.html
    http://thinknook.com/ssis-2012-deployment-error-the-project-or-operation-records-do-not-exist-2012-08-03/
    Thank you,
    Mittal.

    Hi Mittal,
    If we want to find more information about this error, we should execute the query below under SSISDB catalog in SQL Server Management Studio, then expand the message column to see the detail error message:
    select * from catalog.operation_messages
    where operation_id=100155
    Generally, the issue always be caused by a timeout for big projects, this is a known issue. The workaround for this issue is create two indexes in the SSISDB catalog to improve the performance. For more details, please see:
    https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/804901/ssis-2012-deploying-new-versions-of-large-projects-runs-into-a-timeout-during-deployment-into-ssis-catalog
    Besides, it can also be caused by other issues. For example, if the package includes an Attunity Oracle connection, but the deployed environment doesn’t install the Attunity connectors. For more details, please see:
