SSIS package execute Parallely

Hi All,
I have 300 Packages to be run parallely in real time.
How can i can group these packages into Sql Agent Jobs.
Each Package need to be run at an interval cycle of 5 Mins.
Thanks in Advance...

Hi Visakh,
I have 300 Packages.
Requirement -1)  I want to execute all packages parallely.
Requirement -2)
There is an SQL Agent Job containing a complex Integration Services Package performing some ETL Jobs. It takes between 1 and 4 hours to run, depending on our data sources. The Job currently runs daily, without problems. What I would like to do now is to let
it run in an endless loop, which means: When it's done, start over again.
The scheduler doesn't seem to provide this option. I found that it would be possible to use the steps interface to go to step one after the last step is finished, but there's a problem using that method: If I need to stop the job, I would need to do that in
a forceful way. However I would like to be able to let the job stop after the next iteration. How can I do that?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Sorry I'm getting confused
You say you want to run it continuosly
Then you say you want to stop it after next iteration                    The two statements seems to be contradictory

  • How to make my SSIS package execute successfully, even when there is no input feed file which is actually expected.

    Hello,
    Currently I am running a SSIS package scheduled daily at 7 A.M. It expects two feed files from two different folders.
    The first step in my package will rename the input files in those folders to  names which the package can understand. I have created two variables in my package to read the files with those file names. I used these variables in connection managers.
    If any of these folders doesn't have input files when the package runs, the package will fail. Can someone please let me know how to make the package the run successfully even there is no input feed?
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Why not add a check to see if filecount > 0 from the folder. ANd only if it exists do the next set of tasks ie rename + other processing.
    For this you can use a logic like below
    http://sqlage.blogspot.in/2013/07/ssis-how-to-check-if-file-exists-in.html
    Then link the output of this script task to your rename task using conditional precedence constraint usig Expression and Constriant option. Set Constraint as OnSuccess and Expression as below
    @FileExistsFlg == 1

  • Cannot Debug SSIS packages in 64 bit mode.

    Hi,
    To anyone who may be able to help.  We are using SQL server 2014 Enterprise addition.  Visual studio 2013, SSDT latest version installed, all 64 bit tools installed.  I have tried to run my packages  with the "Run64bitRuntime"
    set to true ( project properties-->Debugging-->Run64BitRuntime = True).  Initially I thought it an issues with my package (we migrated them from SSIS 2008R2, they run fine with no issues within the 32 bit memory constraints) so I created
    a super simple package with VS 2013 in the SSIS 2014 environment from scratch, a lookup and an OLEDB Data source that's it.  Same problem.  No matter what I do when I debug in SSIS the 32 bit process (DtsDebugHost.exe (32 bit)) fires up,
    even though I have selected debug in 64 bit runtime I cannot get the 64 bit version of DtsDebugHost to run.  This is an issue because I am debugging projects that will utilise more than 4GB of memory for say a particular set of lookups.  Curiously
    when I schedule the projects to run in the  scheduler, it fires up a  64 bit process, and the package executes successfully, however if I can't debug in 64 bit mode and leverage the extra memory at the design stage,
    this is useless.  I have checked obvious things like the path environment variable, thinking perhaps SSIS debug doesn't know where the 64 bit exe is, but it is all fine paths are as they should be.  All 64 bit tools/dll's are installed.  I
    have tested this directly on the server, and on the client machine that I use and the issue is the same. If no one can help me here I guess I can log a support ticket.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi des_77,
    According to your description, you can only debug your SSIS package in 32 bit mode.
    Based on my research, I think the issue is caused by 64bit SSIS runtime is not installed on your machine. We can verify the issue by seeing if DtsDebugHost.exe under <Installation Drive>\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\120\DTS\Binn or not.
    To fix this issue, please install SQL Server and select Integration Services for installation, Setup installs all available 64-bit Integration Services features and tools. Then we can set the Debug Options property Run64BitRuntime to “True”, view the processes
    in Windows Task Manager to verify the version of DTDebugHost.exe when debugging the package.
    Besides, if the issue still existed, it is my pleasure to help you to reflect your recommendation to the proper department for their consideration. Please feel free to submit your situation on our product to the following link

  • Error While executing a SSIS package which contains a script task through SQL Server Agent job

    Hi,
    I have a SQL Server 2012 SSIS package with a script task along with other tasks [data flow, execute sql tasks ]. When I manually executed the job through BIDS, its completed successfully.
    Then I have automated the execution of the package through SQL Server Agent Job. But when I executed the package through SQL Agent job, it runs successfully for all the tasks except script task. When it comes to execute the Script Task, it is getting failed
    with the below error message.

  • How to execute an SSIS package on a scheduled basis from remote server and pass in input files

    I have an application server and a db server.  My db server has all things SQL Server stored on it (DBMS, SSRS, SSIS, etc.)  I have several nightly batch process SSIS packages (dtsx files currently) that will pickup an input file and import them
    into the database.  I would like to execute all batch processes from my application server as I have quite a few other ones as well that do other stuff outside of SQL Server via powershell.  My question is how to do this?  Is there away to execute
    them remotely via DTexec.exe, should I set them up as Agent jobs and somehow pass in the file names\location (how?), create and SSIS catalog, etc.?
    I need to easily be able to see if the packages execute successfully or not and if not capture the detailed information of why they failed from the remote server so I can use that to drive my process flow logic in the batch processes.

    Hi Jason,
    According to your description, you want to execute a package on a schedule and receive notification when package ends with error in the job.
    After testing the issue in my environment, we can directly add the package in a step of a job, then add a schedule and set the Alert and Notification property in the job to achieve your requirement. For more details, please see:
    Create a Database Mail in the SSMS.
    Right-click the SQL Server Agent services to Enable mail profile, then select the appropriate Mail profile.
    Under the Operators folder, create an operator with the correct E-mail name.
    Right-click the Jobs folder to add a new job.
    In the Steps pane, New a step with SQL Server Integration Services Package Type to run the package.
    In the Schedules pane, New a schedule for the job.
    In the Alerts pane, New an alert with SQL Server event alert, then enable Notify operators option with an operator in the Response pane.
    In the Notifications pane, enable Email option with same operator and When the job fails selection.
    Then when the package fails, the job would be failed and we can receive the error message in the mailbox.
    Besides, please make sure the account that execute the job has correct permissions for the file, for the folder that contains the file, and for the database.

    Do you have any Date conversion functions in your Oracle datetime fields? I did run into a similar issue when we upgraded the oracle client and the provider started to decipher the metadata of the date columns. The SSIS metadata conversion for the date
    columns yielded dates that were not valid. I had to update my queries to use the TO_CHAR conversion to bring it out as a string and then save it to the date field.

  • SQL SERVER - Error while executing SSIS package on specific environment : Connection manager - The specified module could not be found

    I have deployed my SSIS packages on SQL 2008 server.
    I have a .bat file which will invoke these packages and also the bat file is placed in the server where the SSIS packages are deployed.
    Scenario 1:
    I double clicked on the bat file to invoke the SSIS packages and ; this executed successfully
    Scenario 2:
    I have used the IBM Tivoli work scheduler(TWS)  to invoke the bat file which in tern will invoke the ssis packges;
    but when i do this i am getting the below error
     Code: 0x8007007E
       Source: SSIS_Master_Event_Data_Transfer Connection manager "Config DB"
       Description: The specified module could not be found.
    Config BD is a connection manager which will get the connection string from the config file of the SSIS package.
    Please help me to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Prakash

    Check you TWS jobmanrc.cmd configuration file.   You may need to add a PATH environment variable in that file that includes your SQL Server file locations.   When TWS jobs are executed, they may not be executing with the same
    PATH variable as when you execute the SSIS outside of TWS.

  • Execute SSIS Package from JOB which contains Execute Process Task calling a .bat file

    Hi All,
    I have a EXCEL Macro needs to be called from SSIS. We could not use Script task because of some internal reason.
    So we have taken an approach to call a .BAT file using Execute Process Task. This .BAT file will call a .VBS file which will execute the EXCEL Macro.
    The SSIS Package is running good if I execute the package from BIDS.
    But the real problem is with the scheduling this SSIS Package using SQL JOB.
    If i execute this SSIS package from SQL Server Job, its executing the whole package successfully except the Execute Process Task.
    So the overall issue is SQL Server Job is not executing properly if I call any .BAT file from the SSIS Package.
    Please give me suggestion to get rid of the issue. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Sai.N,
    If you run the SQL Server Agent job manually from SSMS, does the package execute properly? If the package executes properly when you run the job manually, the issue should occur due to permission issue. In this case, I suggest that you create a SQL Server
    Agent proxy based on the current Windows account which you use to log onto the operating system, and run the job under the proxy account.
    If it is not the issue, please enable logging in the package as Visakh mentioned and post the warning/error message for further analysis.

  • Executing SSIS packages through SQL Server Jobs.

    Hi,
    I have an SSIS package which generates xml and text files and ftps it to an ftp site. When i run the package from BIDS it works successfully but when i run it from a job it fails. My SSIS package connects to DB server A and though i'm creating a job on DB
    server A but my folder structure and the package resides in server B from where i'm connecting to DB server A through Management Studio. I'm using File system in SQL server Agent Job to call the package. When i execute the job i get following error:

    Hi Christa Kurschat,
    I'm running the job under proxy account. And that account has sysadmin permissions.
    I used following script to create proxy account and run my package under that account:
    I. Create job executor account
    Highlight Security->New Login, say to make login as devlogin, type your password, default database can be your target database.
    Server roles: check sysadmin
    User mapping: your target database
    Msdb database: you make sure to include
    SQLAgentUserRole, SQLAgentReaderRole,  SQLAgentOperatorRole
    Then click OK
    II. Create SQL proxy account and associate proxy account with job executor account
    Here is the code and run it the query window.
    Use master
    CREATE CREDENTIAL [MyCredential] WITH IDENTITY = 'yourdomain\myWindowAccount', secret = 'WindowLoginPassword'
    Use msdb
    Sp_add_proxy @proxy_name='MyProxy', @credential_name='MyCredential'
    Sp_grant_login_to_proxy @login_name=' devlogin', @proxy_name='MyProxy'
    Sp_grant_proxy_to_subsystem @proxy_name='MyProxy', @subsystem_name='SSIS'
    III. Create SSIS package
    In MS SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, you use job executor account devlogin to create the SSIS package (DTS) and make sure you can execute this package
    in SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio. Compile/build this package.
    IV. Create the job, schedule the job and run the job
    In SQL Server Management Studio, highlight SQL Server Agent -> Start. Highlight Job ->New Job, name it , myJob.
    Under Steps, New Step, name it, Step1,
    Type: SQL Server Integration Service Package
    Run as: myProxy
    Package source: File System
    Browse to select your package file xxx.dtsx
    Click Ok
    Schedule your job and enable it
    I followed these steps.
    Thanks,
    Deepti

    Hi selfdestruct80,
    According to your description, you created SSIS package and it works fine. But you got the error message when the SSIS package was called from a SQL Server Agent job.
    According to my knowledge, the package may not run in the following scenarios:
    The current user cannot decrypt secrets from the package.
    A SQL Server connection that uses integrated security fails because the current user does not have the required permissions.
    File access fails because the current user does not have the required permissions to write to the file share that the connection manager accesses.
    A registry-based SSIS package configuration uses the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry keys. The HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry keys are user-specific.
    A task or a connection manager requires that the current user account has correct permissions.
    According to the error message, the SSIS Package ProtectionLevel property to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword as ArthurZ mentioned. To solve the problem, you need to go to Command Line tab, manually specify the paassword in SQL Agent Job with the command like below:
    /FILE "\"C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\SQL Server Management Studio\SSIS\Package.dtsx\"" /DECRYPT somepassword /CHECKPOINTING OFF /REPORTING E

  • Getting Error while Execute SSIS Package from Console Application

    Dear All,
    SSIS package working fine directly.
    I got following error while execute SSIS package from C# console application.
    The connection "{79D920D4-9229-46CA-9018-235B711F04D9}" is not found. This error is thrown by Connections collection when the specific connection element is not found.
    Cannot find the connection manager with ID "{79D920D4-9229-46CA-9018-235B711F04D9}" in the connection manager collection due to error code 0xC0010009. That connection manager is needed by "OLE DB Destination.Connections[OleDbConnection]"
    in the connection manager collection of "OLE DB Destination". Verify that a connection manager in the connection manager collection, Connections, has been created with that ID.
    OLE DB Destination failed validation and returned error code 0xC004800B.
    One or more component failed validation.
    There were errors during task validation.
    Code :
       public static string RunDTSPackage()
                Package pkg;
                Application app;
                DTSExecResult pkgResults;
                Variables vars;
                app = new Application();
                pkg = app.LoadPackage(@"D:\WORK\Package.dtsx", null);
         Microsoft.SqlServer.Dts.Runtime.DTSExecResult results = pkg.Execute();
    I have recreate the application with again new connection in SSIS.
    Still not working, Please provide solution if any one have.

    Are you sure that you are running the same package via .NET which works fine from Visual Studio?
    By reading error message, I can say that you have copied OLEDB task from another package OR you have deleted one OLEDB connection manager. Now when package is run this task tries to use the connection manager and not found thus throws error message.
    Open all OLEDB destination tasks and you find connection manager missing. Connection Manager name should be provided there

  • Ssis packages execution fails while executing it by c#

    Hi,
    I have created one ssis package on server. Now i want to execute this package using c# code.
    I have implemented following code to perform this task:
     string pkgLocation = @"Package.dtsx";
            Package pkg;
            Application app;
            DTSExecResult pkgResults;
            Variables vars;
            app = new Application();
            pkg = app.LoadPackage(Server.MapPath(pkgLocation), null);
            vars = pkg.Variables;
           // vars["MonthInt"].Value = "02";
          //  vars["YearInt"].Value = "2014";
            pkgResults = pkg.Execute();
            foreach (DtsError pkgerror in pkg.Errors)
                string err = "Error Source: " + pkg.Name + ": " + " Description: " + pkg.Description;
                //lblErrorMsg.Visible = true;
              //  lblErrorMsg.Text = err;
            if (pkgResults == DTSExecResult.Success)
                // lblErrorMsg.Visible = true;
                // lblErrorMsg.Text = "Package ran successfully in " + count;
            else
    But all the time it gets fail.
    Its giving me following error in DTSError:

  • SSIS Package compiled successful, in SQL Server Integration Service package executed sucessful, But fail to run in MS SQL Job Scheduler

    Hi Everyone,
    I having a problem to transfer data from MS SQL 2005 to IBMAS400. Previously my SSIS was running perfectly but there is some changes I need to be done in order for the system to work well. Considers my changes are minimal & just for upgrades (but I did
    include DELETE statements to truncate AS400 table before I insert fresh data from MS SQL table to the same AS400 table), so I compile my SSIS package & it run successfully & I passed it into MS SQL Integrated Service as 1 of the packages & manually
    executed the package & the result is the same, that mean it was successful again but when I try to run it in a MS SQL Job Scheduler, the job failed with these message shown below as extracted from the job View history.

    Hi Ironmaidenroxz,
    From the message “Executed as user: MSSQLServer\SYSTEM”, we can see that the SQL Server Agent job ran under the Local System account. However, a Local System account doesn’t have the network rights natively, therefore, the job failed to communicate with
    the remote IBMAS400 server.
    To address this issue, you need to create a proxy account for SQL Server Agent to run the job. When creating the credentials for the proxy account, you can use the Windows domain account under which you executed the package manually.
