SSL and Credentials configuration for webas

Hi..
I got a doubt in SSL certificate configuration.When i need to configure a JAVA engine for activating SSL.I would create .CSR and get signed from Trust center which inturn gives three certificate root,intermediate and original certificate and so we can configure the JAVA URL as https://<hostname>:<port no>:500001/...
Now the same can also can be configured for ABAP WEBAS engine.my doubt is as per note : 510007,SAP has said to generate .PSE file and SSL configuration which will work in 443 port and HTTPS port as in SMICM transaction
But I have two instances running on single host.I have already configured HTTPS 443 for one instance say for ABAP webas.And If i need to configure for another instance, can i change the HTTPS port as per my requirement ????,because 443 has been assigned to another instance (earlier) .And Can i generate PSE file from that new port and get the certificate installed that is obtained from Trust center ???

Hello Gopalakrishnan,
To specify the https port of ABAP, you can use paramenter
icm/server_port_<X> as PROT=HTTPS,PORT=<port>
I think the default port for http is like below
icm/server_port_0 as PROT=HTTP,PORT=80<instance_number>
Then you can just specify icm/server_port_1 for https.

FB4 Beta 2 error message on "validate configuration" for web root

Hello:
I have been working in FB4 beta 1 and had a php project working fine. After installing FB4 beta 2, i am now having problems with the flex server web root and/or root URL. i am now getting the following error message when I try and "validate configuration" for a configuration which had been working. The error message is:
"(the web root) is not a valid location because the project contains a linked resource at that location"
Here are my settings which had been workin g with FB4beta1, but which now result in the error message with FB4beta2:
>> web root c:\wamp\www
>> root URL: http://localhost
>> output folder: c:\wamp\www\projectname-debug
I am running wamp server on my local machine as my testing server; I run windows XP pro; this is a php project
Has anyone seen this problem in FB4 beta2?

I just recently had this issue myself but I did a Clean on my project and it seems to working fine now.

Hi Sumit,
When U Told the thing that first time to execute the RZ70 and All i Did this in XI System
So I got An Entry for the Technical System for XI System.
Now i Deleted that and Executed RZ70 in R/3.
When I Executed RZ70, I got this Error.
 "RFC Call failed: Error Opening an RFC Connection ".
Now I am Unable to see Any Technical System Under Web As ABAP. It's Showing Empty Now.
Please Let me know

Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template (HAP_TA_CONF)

I am currently building a new appraisal template for my client and I have configured the process timeline in the development system via the IMG node Define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template (transaction code HAP_TAB_CONF).
Does anyone know how to transport the tabs and process configuration through the system landscape?
We are on SAP ECC 6.0 Enhancement Pack 4

I have used the report RHMOVE30 as you recommended and it worked perfectly in one run. I did not have to create custom relationships. I simply selected all the Process Item (VH) objects for my appraisal template and ran the report.
Many thanks for your help. It has saved me having to configure the tabs and process timeline in each client.

I would like to give the local HR the ability to define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template
The only way I can find to create these definitions is using SPRO and I don't want to give HR users SPRO
Is there a transaction which will allow the HR users to define Tabs and Process Configuration for Template?

You can try this URL:

Just change server, domain and port to match your SAP instance.

Appraisal- "Define Tabs and Process Configuration for template"

I am looking for implementation of Flexible template. However, I am unable to do so because "Define Tabs and Process Configuration for template" config node is not available even though we have activated business functions HCM_OSA_CL_1 and HCM_OSA_CL_2. We are in EHP 5 SPlevel 44.
Please help.

1. Check with Business Function CA_HAP_CI_1 ..first go through the documentation of the Business Function.
2.Check with BC Sets is activated or not through tcode SCPR20PR...If it not activated then activate with Tcode SCPR20..

Page Views and Sessions/Users for web tests

It seems that when you have a URL ping test that the sessions and users count increases but the page views do not counted. Is this correct? I have 10k sessions/users over the last week but ~150 page views. If I look at the server requests I also have around
50K server requests (around 5 requests on the home page).
Why is App Insights not tracking page views for the web tests but it is tracking everything else?

Currently this is a correct behavior. Page Views are sent by javascript snippet which is not executed when you use web tests. User and session are counted by server side logic (AI Web SDK) which is executed. We will add a feature that detects synthetic
traffic very soon. When implemented charts will filter out users and sessions created for web test pings.

Financial Reporting Studio 11.1.2.1 PDF not Configured for Web Server

I have installed EPM 11.1.2.1, and HFM, Planning, Essbase, Financial Reporting are all working fine except when I do a report preview in the Workspace an error is received that PDF has not been configured for this Web Server.
I have uninstalled PDF and Financial Reporting then re-installed them but I am still getting the same error. Also, I when I tried to view report from Workspace in Financial Reporting Studio, I received the following error:
error number 400 Error Description:Form already displayed; can't show modally. Function: ShowMsg. Module:GblMethods.
Your help would be gracefully appreciated.

Type of configuration for web service in SOA manager

Hi Experts,
could you please let me know while creating logical port for Web sevice security which type of configuration should I select in SOA manager. There are three types of configuration. 1> WSDL Based Configuration2>Manual Configuration and 3>Process Integration Runtime.
As per the below link I am going to apply web service security but I dont have authorization to create logical port using t-code lpconfig. So I am trying to create it using SOA manager.

Thanks for your reply. But here I am not creating any consumer proxy. I want to create only logical port for CO_WSSEWSSPROCESSOR_VI_DOCUMEN as mentioned in above link. I dont have any wsdl link for the same.Here I want to create logical port where I can mention the RFC for the integration server as per defined by below link.

When I am creating logical port by manual , its not allowing me mention any HTTP destination. By default its showing me as 'unknown' HTTP destination.
Please let me know if I have missed out any configuration. As per above link Java part configurationI have done successfully. But for ABAP part I am confussed while creating logical port.

Fisrt you have to define a technical system in SLD
using the URL
http://<host>:<port>/sld u2192 Link Technical Landscape
there you have select under landscapes---->technical systems
select new technical system.
select the server either (web As ABAP.Web AS java)what ever is ur server select it.
next u have another screen
asking SID,Installation no.,Database host name.
For all the details webas abap.
you can view after looging in the option in the menu bar system->status.
next
Enter the message server host, application server host, the instance number, the
message server port and all logon groups.
On the next screen you can add the name of all application server hosts (and their
instance numbers) belonging to the same SAP system. Press Next.
Now enter all clients, you want to use with the JCo connections. At least one
client has to be defined

I would like to utlize the feature of process/phase/step configuration for appraisals by the Web Dynpro configuration for tab and process. I choose the "Process Configuration" tab, enter my appraisal template and period, and click "Start Selection". A warning is displayed "No process defined for <my appraisal template>". Clicking on "Add" and no matter what I did, I don't seem to be able to maintain any process/phase/step into the "Configure Available Elements for Process" table. What is the pre-requisite to maintain and configure the Process/Phase/Step(s) ?
How do I maintain the in preparation, in planning etc statuses in here, I created templates using SAP defined templates for ex: templates for performance feedback etc., statuses are maintained in there by default.
Can you please suggest anything?

Hi Munny, I am experiencing the same condition. I have released my template and when I go thru the IMG to the 'Define Tabs & Process Configuration' selection I get the browser screen for setting up the tabs and process. I click on the Process tab and see the screen but the New and Delete buttons are not active (grey'ed out). I toggled my review template (cancelled release and re-released) to see if it changed the symptoms but it did not.
All - are there other conditions that must be met before setting up the Process steps vis the IMG ? I have all of the Status/substatus config complete and it shows up in the right side, but I cannot add anything to the left side to define the process.

Delete or disable ssl and https on exchange web url

I disable by clear check box on Default Web Site --> SSL Settiings --> Require SSL
and also inseret my domain name example: http://mail.myexchange.com/owa in Exchange admin center Console --> Servers --> Virtual Directory --> owa
and also i change <add key="UseHttpsForWacUrl" value="true" /> to <add key="UseHttpsForWacUrl" value="false" /> in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange

But, after this steps for removing https on my url i can use it. and after loggin in https mode i can delete https on my url manually but did't work good and i get this error when i want see my email body "Error: Your
request can't be completed right now. Please try again later."

You require to do thenecessay configuration for Foreign Trade Data:
IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Foreign Trade/Customs --> Basic Data for Foreign Trade --> (Do the necessary configuration here)
In most probability, it will not default, but it is required to be maintained in Invoice (based on configuration)

Errors/warnings occurred when generating the local proxy dll and VI wrappers for web service

Hello,
I'm new to web services - trying to import a WSDL that was created by an outside vendor and placed on a company server. I imported a previous version successfully. The error I'm getting doesn't make a lot of sense to me, here it is:
The following errors/warnings occurred when generating the local proxy dll and VI wrappers for this web service.
Can't generate files.
Possible reasons are:
1. The output file(s) might be read-only.
Remove the read-only attribute and import the Web service again.
2. A proxy DLL that LabVIEW created under the same file path exists in memory.
Restart LabVIEW and import the Web service again.
I don't see any read-only attributes on the output files and I've tried restarting LabVIEW - no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I was able to successfully import and run the web services from the WSDL file in question in LV2009 on a different computer than the one on which I had the original problem. Unfortunately I am still having the original problem on the project computer and will need to get it working there . . . still looking for a solution to that. Apparently LV2009 is perfectly capable of importing and running this WSDL file, but there is something still in the way on the project PC.

Component and application configuration for RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP

Hi folks,
I've been enhancing a used component RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_COMP as part of RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP and I now need to configure the display output for a new application, but it doesn't work??
I have configured components and used components of a completely bespoke application and all works correctly, but when I configure the enhanced standard components RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_MAIN_COMP & RPLM_QIMT_NOTIF_COMP the changes don't take effect???
Am I missing something? Is there something else I need to do to enable the configuration for standard (enhanced) webdynpro components?

You have to explicitly load the component configuration using the following:
