SSL Help required : using JDeveloper
I am using a single self signed certificate created using keytool on both the client and server end. (i.e. the same keystore as the truststore and keystore as well as the same on the client and the server)
Tried this sample code to fetch the WSDL of my webservice in JDeveloper. Successfully did this.

Hi,
Try the following.
String_arctest model = new String_arctest();
ReturnTestString str=new ReturnTestString(model);
str.setArg1("HalloWelt");
Request_ReturnTestString req=new Request_ReturnTestString(model);
req.addReturnTestString(str);
wdContext.nodeRequest_ReturnTestString().bind(req);
wdContext.nodeRequest_ReturnTestString()
.currentRequest_ReturnTestStringElement().modelObject().execute();
wdContext.nodeResponse().invalidate();
wdContext.nodeResponse().nodeReturnTestStringResponse().invalidate();

Help required using adaptive webservice Model
Hi.
I am importing an adaptive webservice model in webdynpro using a URL. When asked i choose <i>no logical destinations - use WSDL URL for metadataretrieval and webservice execution</i>.
The webservice exports one function only:
public String returnTestString(String arg1);
In my component controller wdInit() i have the following code:
String_arctest model = new String_arctest();
wdContext.nodeRequest_ReturnTestString().bind(new Request_ReturnTestString(model));
wdContext.
nodeRequest_ReturnTestString()
.nodeReturnTestString()
.bind(new ReturnTestString(model));
wdContext.nodeRequest_ReturnTestString()
.nodeReturnTestString()
.currentReturnTestStringElement().setArg1("HalloWelt");
wdContext.nodeRequest_ReturnTestString()
.currentRequest_ReturnTestStringElement().modelObject().execute();
wdContext.nodeResponse().invalidate();
wdContext.nodeResponse().nodeReturnTestStringResponse().invalidate();
When executing the code the <b>execute()</b> throws an <i>com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.api.WDWSModelExecuteException </i> with following message cause: <i>Cannot find the required parameter [arg1] in request message content. Exception on execution of web service with WSDL URL </i>
I appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.Hi,
Try the following.
String_arctest model = new String_arctest();
ReturnTestString str=new ReturnTestString(model);
str.setArg1("HalloWelt");
Request_ReturnTestString req=new Request_ReturnTestString(model);
req.addReturnTestString(str);
wdContext.nodeRequest_ReturnTestString().bind(req);
wdContext.nodeRequest_ReturnTestString()
.currentRequest_ReturnTestStringElement().modelObject().execute();
wdContext.nodeResponse().invalidate();
wdContext.nodeResponse().nodeReturnTestStringResponse().invalidate();

Help Required using the staic Ip with the DHCP
We have a server on which SBS 2011 is installed. I have installed the DHCP role and configured the DHCP on the server. The following are the details of the server
IP address : 192.168.100.65
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.100.1
DNS server : 192.168.100.1
This server is connected to the BT Hub 3 router. But the problem is i found that Public Ip of the server changes frequently. this IP is configured in BT HUb router at
Settings --> Broadband --> TCP/IP Settings--> IP Adresss
Now we have purchased 5 static Ips out of which one I want to configure on this server. So that I can have the fixed Public IP. I dont want to change the DHCP Settings on the server. How to achieve this??.
When i configure one of the the static ip for the server in the settings --> Business Network. The internal Ip address gets replaced.
I tick mark both options while configuring static Ip
a) Use public fixed ip address
b) Always use this Ip address
And when i again manually enter my internal DHCP address, it again takes the public Ip from
Settings --> Broadband --> TCP/IP Settings--> IP Adresss
And my server is not visible in the Business Network.
How can i configure the static Ip on the router????
Please Help!!!Welcome to the BT Residential Customers forum

Help required: Using objects/methods in other classes
Hi
Say you have a class that has a private string instance variable and you have a accessor and mutator method for this object in that class.
You have another class that needs to access this object via the accessor and mutator methods. How do you do this? When I try I only get nullPointerExceptions or Stack Overflows!!! If anyone can provide some code on how to do this successfully then that will be most appreciated. Thanks.Kayaman gave you the right answer
public class MyDataClass {
private String importantString;
public void setImpString(String s) {
importantString = s;
public String getImpString() {
return importantString;
public class MyMainClass {
public static void main(String[] args) {
MyDataClass a = new MyDataClass();
a.setImpString("This is important");
System.out.println(a.getImpString());
}Note that he sets the value of the imp string before trying to get it. The nullpointer that you say is probably because you dont do that.
Also When you aks a question a little humility doesnt hurt.
You do need a tutorial first. -
I have been able to access a site regularly but in the last few days get a message: "cookies required to access this site." please help, I use this site for work daily:)

Problem in accessing Web Services developed using JDeveloper 10.1.3
We have developed J2EE 1.4 JAX RPC Web Services using Jdeveloper 10.1.3.
I take the WSDL document generated by JDev and created Web Proxy for that WSDL.
I have developed the Swing Client for accessing the Web Service and when i tried to run from JDev it is working fine.
My requirement is to access the swing client from Java Web start.
When i tried to run from Web start, I am getting the following exception.

Ravi KumarI am also having the same problem. Calling a web service inside JDeveloper 10.1.3.3 works fine. When I deploy to a jar file and include all Jars that the dependency analyzer identifies, the following error occurs:
standard type mapping initialization error: javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: javax
.xml.soap.SOAPException: Unable to create SOAP Factory: Provider com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.soap.ver1_1.SOAPFactory1_1Impl not found
Your work around defining Java system properties does work, but why do we need to do this using the Oracle SOAP stack?
If there are alternatives to this problem please share. Thank you. -
How to implement hierarchical structure of managers and reportees using jdeveloper adf
I want to display hierarchical structure(which can be expanded and compressed) with 3 columns(Employeeid, fist Name,lastname) of managers and his reportees on selecting a top level manager.
In this i'm going to use programmatic view objects.
I have employees table.
Here is my detailed requirement:
On selecting a user from drop down list, i want to display the list of users reporting to him.
From the displayed list on selecting a manager, list of users reporting to him has to be displayed in a tree format with the correspoding just being listed below the current selected manager
Example :
Top Manger has been selected from dropdown and clicked submit.
Output(a table as mentioned below):
Manager1
Manager2
NonManager1
Manger 3
On clicking manager1,
output:
Manger 1
Manger11
Manasger12
Nonmanager11
Manger 2
NonManger1
Manger3
on clicking manager1 again, tree has to be compressed and the output has to be just the same as first output.
Please help me on this by sharing information or any references on how can i achieve this implementation using Jdeveloper adf concepts.
Will be waiting for the inputs.
Thank You,
DevObviously, you can only display one picture. So then the question becomes which picture to show. Therefore, you will have to create some sort of preference of one pattern over another.
I would use a FOR loop so that you can loop through your available patters and their possible results. Use the Conditional Terminal on the FOR loop so that you can stop the loop on the first match. Then you just wire up the selected value for the ring outside of the loop.
There are only two ways to tell somebody thanks: Kudos and Marked Solutions

Executable JAR using JDeveloper
Hi,
I created a very small Desktop Application using JDeveloper.
What I want to do is to create an executable JAR file. I mean, is there any option in this tool like the one in Eclipse. Once executable JAR is created, I must be able to run it just by double clicking the JAR file.
So, can some1 please help me with the steps ?
JDeveloper : 11.1.1.6.0For executable jar you will need to add:
Main-Class: your_package.YourClassto META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file inside jar.
I don't think that JDeveloper support custom manifest files so you can modify this content after jar creation(for example, with some zip/rar/7z tool)
Also, if your app require some additional jars, then you will need to add this line to manifest:
Class-Path: additional.jarDario -
Workflow Manager SharePoint 2013 - HTTP forbidden, 403 SSL is Required
Hello,
I have installed Workflow Manager and configured it to allow http and https communication, following the video instructions
: Install and configure Workflow in SharePoint Server 2013
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn201724(v=office.15).aspx
I implemented a simple workflow in a new 2013 team site using SharePoint Designer 2013 (following episode 6) and
everything worked.
I then tried an identical list workflow in my root site collection (which was upgraded from 2010) and get:
Status Started: Retrying last request. Next attempt scheduled in less than one minute. Details of last request:
HTTP Forbidden to
http://myserver/_vti_bin/client.svc/web/lists/getbyid(guid'fc6b128e-72e5-4c84-8d37-3a5a8a8f9030') Correlation Id: 36fa92d5-72e2-523d-ab84-c51d605fb705 Instance Id: a9671cc8-078d-4b1e-a8b8-3d95806b74f6 Retry now
Status Suspended: Followed by the message:
HTTP 403 {"x-ms-diagnostics":["30000000; reason=SSL is required"],"
The process for creating and running these workflows was the same. Can anyone help?
macrelHi Marcel,
Try executing the following command below and make sure that the workflows properly registered:
$credential = [System.Net.CredentialCache]::DefaultNetworkCredentials
$site = Get-SPSite(<siteUri>)
$proxy = Get-SPWorkflowServiceApplicationProxy
$svcAddress = $proxy.GetWorkflowServiceAddress($site)
Copy-SPActivitiesToWorkflowService -WorkflowServiceAddress $svcAddress -Credential $credential -Force $true

JDBC Driver problem when using JDeveloper 10.1.2 with JDK 1.4
I hope someone can help me solve this problem (which I am sure others have encountered).
The JDK that is downloaded together with JDeveloper 10.1.2 is JDK 1.4.2. However, I believe the JDBC jar files that comes together with JDeveloper 10.1.2 are for JDK 1.2 : classes12.jar, classes12dms.jar and nls_charset12.
What I did was I replaced the JDeveloper 10.1.2 JDBC (JDK 1.2) jar files with the JDBC jar files from JDeveloper 10.1.3 download i.e. ocrs12.jar, ojdbc14.jar, ojdbc14dms.jar and orai18n.jar and then create a new JDBC Library which references these new jar files. I was able to successfully run my applications (under my modified JDeveloper 10.1.2) using this new JDBC library (instead of the original 'Oracle JDBC' library). However, when I created a Database Connection in this modified JDeveloper 10.1.2, the connection was unsuccessful. I received the error message "Unable to find driver: oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver".
My organisation requires me to use JDK 1.4.2 and therefore I cannot use JDeveloper 10.1.3 (which I did not encounter any JDBC problem) as it is certified to run only on JDK 1.5.
Please help. Thanks.JDev 10.1.2 is quite old, and was never certified for Windows 2008.

I was going thru the Oracle By Example article: "Developing SQL and PL/SQL with JDeveloper". (http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe9051jdev/ide1012/plsqlobe/obeplsql.htm)
One of the items in this article is - "Creating and Deploying a Java Stored Procedure"
I was able to create a java class, compile it. Created a deployment profile. created a pl/sql wrapper. While trying to deploy the java stored procedure, I am getting the following error:
