SSP5 and supplier catalogs

I know that SSP5 is tightly integrated with Oracle Purchasing, but can it run as a stand alone product? If so, does it come with its own supplier catalog, or does it provide "hooks" to 3rd party catalog systems?
Thank you,
Russ Rubis

SSP5(iProcurement) is integrated with Oracle Purchasing - mainly links to Items (Item Master, Blanket PO Items), Suppliers, etc... and it cannot be used as a Stand alone system.
Also, (SSP5) iProcurement is just a Requisition creation system and you have to use the Purchasing module to convert these Approved REQs into Purchase Orders etc...
iProcurement allows you to load external catalogs. You can also access supplier punchout capabilities.

  • CCM related - error while deleting item  from supplier catalog

    Hi experts,
I am using CCM 1.0 SP5 and the format of file uploading is in .xls. I am trying to delete one item with deletion indicator 'X' in excel file. Item is present in Supplier catalog. Still while going to delete the item, in the display log it is showing error as:
"Catalog item VZ312-5MD4E80865694B29B66E2C7CEA4A4D4E4E not found" and "Error when deleting catalog item VZ312-5MD4E80865694B29B66E2C7CEA4A4D4E4E". Though i checked the item is present in the supplier catalog. replaced the item in excel with the existing in CCM, still the same error is coming.
Please give your suggestions. I am not getting any solution.

  • Supplier catalogs integration with Purchase Requisiton (ME51N) transaction

    Hi MM Gurus,
I was looking to integrate supplier catalogs (punch out) to ME51N transaction in ECC-EHP4. I see config node in SPRO under MM->Purchasing->Environment Data->Web Services: ID and Description.
    - I created catalog ID but Catalog button is not showing up in ME51N for catalog selection. What set up is required?
    - How can we restrict access to catalogs, is there any set up to assign to plants or assign to doc type / users etc?
Please share, if you have any experience with it?
    I appreciate your input.
    Thanks,
    Chandra

    Hi,
you don't need SRM for using a catalog in MM transactions ME51n, ME21n. You have to consider that you can use only one catalog. If you want to use more then one catalog you should use SRM. That's the design.
    Customizing:
      -> Purchasing
         -> Environment Data
-> Web Services: ID and Description
you can find more detailed information about the settings in Customizing of Supplier Relationship Management  (-> SRM Server -> Master Data -> Define External Web Services )
You can maintain more than one WEB Services, but you have to set the 'Default Indicator' for one of them, otherwise you will not get any Catalog to be displayed in ME51n/ME21n.

  • CCM  Upload CSV2.0 file to Supplier Catalog fails if using " ' , ;

    Hello all,
We're unable to up-load supplier catalogs using CSV2.0 format when text fields in the file contain any of the following characters:  comma, semi-colon, apostrophe, quote (, ; ‘ “). While we can get around this by excluding these characters from text fields in the file, the fact is that these characters are generally present across the customer’s material master description and purchase order texts in the material masters.  Apostrophes and quotes are especially numerous because they are common abbreviations for foot and inch respectively.
Has anyone encountered this problem and was able to include these characters in the CSV2.0 file upload?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Frank Heisner

Frank: you should have no problems with comma (,) and semi-colon ( - as long as these are not defined as the CSV separator. Not sure about apostrophe ('). Quote (") is a special case for CSV. Per <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ccm20/helpdata/en/e1/eddebb4b63453cbf209027e0816b8c/content.htm">SAP CSV 2.0 specification</a>, you should be aware that:
<i>If the column value contains one or more double quotes, you must place double quotes around the entire content of the column, and each double quote contained in the value must be doubled.</i>

  • Extra harecteristics in supplier catalog in CCM .

    hello dear people...
we are using CCM 2.0 with SRM 5.0 in the same server.
we have a requirement of using few extra charecteristics in CCM catalog.
Can we upload the custom charecterictics (which is not provided by OCI i.e. not a part of "/ccm" ) using the CSV files as supplier catalogs?
If yes, what is the format of the .CSV file?
If we can't, what can be the work around?
    An early response is appretiated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Abhishek

Yes you can create custom characteristics as part of your supplier catalogs.  This can be done either via the csv format or via one of the xml formats.
The csv format is more detailed then what one would want to read in a post.  Here is the link to the csv 2.0 format.  It explains how to create characteristics and how to add those chars. to you supplier catalog and downstream catalogs.  Note if you want this field to be searchable and displayed in procurement catalogs you will need to set the appropriate settings.

  • What is the diff bet CCM catalog and MDM catalog?

    Hi Friends
What is the diff bet CCM catalog and MDM catalog?
    Thanks & Regards
    Kanni

    Hello,
CCM & SRM-MDM are SAP Catalog Content Management solutions.
In basic terms, MDM is latest solution & will be replacing CCM. All new features like service hierarchies are included in MDM 3.0.
CCM: upload, manage, and search in procurement catalogs.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ccm20/helpdata/en/index.htm
MDM: Search, compare, and procure products from suppliers.
    It provides:
Catalog content management functions, such as the import of catalog structures or data, the transfer of catalog items to a procurement application, and search functions
    Procurement catalogs
Supplier catalogs in a Web-based environment
The SRM-MDM Catalog is based on functions provided by SAP NetWeaver Master Data Management (SAP NetWeaver MDM) and bundles together in one specific application those SAP NetWeaver MDM functions required for catalog content management.

  • Error creating supplier catalog

    Hi srm experts,
I get a dump when creating supplier catalogs in CCM 2.0. The dump is in program /CCM/SAPLCOM_D_VIEW_E1, and ST22 states that the key field "PRODUCT_GUID" is missing or incomplete but is contained as a key of table LT_PR_PR_REF_PR. The supplier catalog is saved in table /CCM/D_CTLG_REQ but cannot be displayed in catalog overview. I found a note (1171698) that requires SAP Application Basis 7.0 to be at package 17, but I am unsure if this the correct solution. Can anyone help? Thanks.
    Dom

I think you must Grant the RECOVERY_CATALOG_OWNER role to the user rcat in the recovery catalog database, not in other databases.
    Hope it helps!

  • Punchout Catalog-Sending Email value to supplier catalog

    Hi,
I have configured punchout catalog for one supplier from customizing>>defining external web services in SRM.  We have to send user's email ID to supplier catalog page so that this will be unique value which  will identify user. can anyone please suggest me how to send SAP SRM email value to supplier.
I could able to send SAP SRM userID to supplier by setting parameter value as "SY-UNAME" and type as sap filed.
    Thanks in advance.

    Satish Aralkar

    Hi,
Please implement the BADI BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH for passing additional parameters.
    Here is IMG description.
    Transfer Additional Parameters
    Use
With the Business Add-In (BAdI) BBP_CAT_CALL_ENRICH, you can transfer additional parameters to an external Web Service, such as a product catalog or a vendor list.
The SRM Server always calls the BAdI when an external Web Service is called up. You can modify the BAdI to your requirements, for example, in order to transfer dynamic data that could not be imported via system tables.
    Standard settings
In the standard the Business Add-In is active. The default coding is carried out automatically. The standard implementation is only run for the business type E-Forms.
    The BAdI is reusable.
The BAdI provides the following methods:
    CAT_CALL_ENRICH
    Activities
You can transfer additional name-value pairs to the Web Service:
    1. Create a new BAdI definition (see Implementation).
    2. Add new entries to the internal table
ct_post_values. The table has the line category SAVWCTXT . Enter a field name and a value for each entry. Do not enter a field index.
    Example
You wish to order business cards and you want to provide the text for the cards to the vendor (Implementation CL_IM_BBP_BUSINESSCARDS).

    Masa

  • Combine MM and Suppier Catalog

    Hello all,
on CCM 1.0 is it possible to combine items on any key variable?
I have products from MM transfered to EBP and transported to CCM. This created catalog SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG (SRM Server Product Data). Keys for those products are product ID and product group
I also created supplier catalog with same product IDs and product groups as are in SRM_EXTRACTED_CTLG.
When I map both catalogs to Master Catalog I get two records with same product ID and group. I want only one record.
    So, is that possible?
    TIA
    Gordan

Tested with new items, result is the same :o(
    What I did:
    1. entered vendor number and product id in vendor TAB under relationships of products
    2. transfer product data to new extracted catalog,
    3. import new supplier catalog where base is vendor no and product id
    4. map both product groups to master catalog
Result is that instead of one combined item I have two independent items.
I am missing common key between extracted and supplier catalog

  • Changing computers but not external hard drive, how to modify and delete catalogs?

Moving my relatively new 2012 Mac Mini from office back home that has LR4 and PS CS6 installed.   It has a small LR catalog that I want to delete completely.
Presently at home, I use my MacBook Pro which I want to take "offline" in regards to photo editing, which also has LR4 and PS installed and is attached to an external drive with all my pictures that I want to have recognized by the Mac Mini LR4.
    1) Can I just delete (from the Mac Mini) the Lightroom folder which contains the Backups folder, and the following files:  LR4 Catalog Previews.Irdata, LR 4 Catalog.Ircat, LR4 Catalog Ircat-journal, and LR4 Catalog.Ircat.lock?
    2) How do I create a new LR4 catalog on the Mini to existing picture folders on the old hard drive, which were previously associated with the MacBook Pro?

    1) Yes
    2) You don't create a new catalog in this situation; you simply move the catalog file from the MacBook Pro to the Mini, then double-click on it.
