Supplier catalogs integration with Purchase Requisiton (ME51N) transaction

Hi MM Gurus,
I was looking to integrate supplier catalogs (punch out) to ME51N transaction in ECC-EHP4. I see config node in SPRO under MM->Purchasing->Environment Data->Web Services: ID and Description.
- I created catalog ID but Catalog button is not showing up in ME51N for catalog selection. What set up is required?
- How can we restrict access to catalogs, is there any set up to assign to plants or assign to doc type / users etc?
Please share, if you have any experience with it?
I appreciate your input.
Thanks,
Chandra

Hi,
you don't need SRM for using a catalog in MM transactions ME51n, ME21n. You have to consider that you can use only one catalog. If you want to use more then one catalog you should use SRM. That's the design.
Customizing:
  -> Purchasing
     -> Environment Data
-> Web Services: ID and Description
you can find more detailed information about the settings in Customizing of Supplier Relationship Management  (-> SRM Server -> Master Data -> Define External Web Services )
You can maintain more than one WEB Services, but you have to set the 'Default Indicator' for one of them, otherwise you will not get any Catalog to be displayed in ME51n/ME21n.

    HI,
1.With SRM 7,0,can we use CCM oor MDM is the only option???
You can use any catalogs which support SAP OCI interface.
2.Is it better to have MDM as a seperate server and enable SRM MDM catalog content?
MDM Server(contents) and AS Java(for UI) are required. Please check the installation guide.
3.We have 2 punch out catalogs for 2 vendors. How to enable the punch out catalog links in SRM 7.0???What is the path for IMG config??
Same as SRM 5.0. Define External Web Services.
    4.       Yes. You can use Import Manager. No issues.
6.The backend master data such as Supplier/Porg etc.....how is that synchronised from SRM to SRM MDM catalog???Is it through some scheduled programs???
      MDM Extractor is available.
7.What is the use of PI/XI in enabling SRM MDM catalog??Why is it mandatory??
      Mainly for contents mapping.
    8. What are the allowed file types for cataog data upload in MDM???Like it was CSV in CCM...
Any. Even for DB interface is also supported. You see all options when you run import manager.
    9. Where can I find some sample catalog files for test upload?
Sample repository definition is delivered. You can manually create 1 entry by Data Manager.
10.What are the lastest SP for MDM available for integration with SRM 7.0??
You can find it SAP Service Marketplace. http://service.sap.com/swdc
    11. after price changes from supplier(thru negotiation),are these price changes to be updated manually for indiavidual items/products through MDM data manager or is there any way to automate this delta update for price in MDM???
You can use contract and contract items are transfered to Catalog.
12.Also maintaining catalog data in MDM for SRM procurement will be a seprate actibity just like maintaing catalog in CCM??
      Yes. Catalog is just Catalog.

  • Allow to create a purchase order with purchase requisiton item deleted

    Dear all,
I have a question about creation purchase order process.
Firstly, I have a purchase requisition with 2 items, first of them is deleted.
If I try to create a purchase order thru transaction ME57N with the previous purchase requisition, I can only create it with one item (the one wich is not deleted)
However, if I try to create the purchase order thru transaction ME21N, with purchase requisition as reference, I can create the PO with item that was deleted in PR.
I don't understand why system allows to create a purchase order with an item that previously was deleted in PR.
Does anyone have a explanation about this issue?
    Many thanks in advance
    Best Regards.

    Hi,
In the document overview of ME21N you get all the items of the purchase
requisitions, no matter if they are deleted or not.
When you convert the deleted item into a Purchase Order you get message
06 050 stating that this item is deleted in the purchase requisition.
This message can be defined as an error message in the customizing
transaction OME0. This way, it will not be possible to order an item
which is deleted in the referenced purchase requisition.

  • FI MM integration with purchase requisition

    Hi,
For FI MM integration - acquire asset through MM - the process is -
    1) create asset master
    2) Purchase requisition
    3) PO
    4) Assign asset master to PO
    5)Goods receipt
It is difficult to create an asset master in advance, so the solution is to create purchase requisition without account assignment.
I would like to know whether this is possible. because once we select Account assignment category "A" system does not allow us to save the Purchase requisition.
Can someone pl. help me understand how to achieve this.
    Thank you
    - Vedavatee

    Hi vedavatee,
You need to assign Asset Number since PR when you are using Account Assignment A.

  • External product catalog integration with SAP CRM

    Hi Forum,
I want to integrate a third party Java based product catalog with SAP CRM.
Currently, ISA is being used as the front-end.The CRM has a product catalog which is being used.
In place of this I want to add an external product catalog.
This is for a B2C shopping website. The user will browse through the external catalog and the selected products should be added to the shopping basket of ISA.
I'm aware that the Open Catalog Interface (OCI) is used for this purpose in B2B using SRM server.
Is there a similar interface for B2C applications?
    Aditya Karajgi

    Hi Pratik,
I dont think you understood my question.
What I want to implement is something like Open Catalog Interface (OCI) which is used in B2B implementations.
The catalog will be created by an open source content management system.
Product categories will be created and maintained using this system.
Users will browse the catalog and select products.
These selected products will be added to the shopping basket in Webshop.
We dont want to get into the complexities of using JCo or IDocs for this.
There should be some interface which is similar to OCI for B2C applications.
Thanks and waiting for ur response.

  • SAP SNC Supplier Network Collaboration integration with SAP ERP via BizTalk - experiences?

    Hello,
had anybody experience in integration of SAP SNC Supplier Network  Collaboration with SAP ERP via BizTalk Server?
Versions: SAP ECC 6.0 Ehp5 SPS11, SAP SNC  current version (7.0?)
We will have to integrate following processes:
Master Data integration, PO Purchase Order, Forecast, SMI Supplier Managed Inventory
Usually SAP takes an SAP PI middleware for this, where the full implementation can be downloaded from the SAP marketplace, but we want to avoid having an additional Integration Platform with maintenance etc.
Are there experiences, success stories, pitfalls, issues to be known, recommendations, known efforts in this forum?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Steps: SNC (Supplier Network Collaboration) Integration with ECC through XI

    Hi,
Has anyone worked on the SNC(Supplier Network Collaboration) integration with SAP ECC via SAP XI.
Could you pls share any documentation related to this. And also could anybody tell me the setup required to go ahead with the integration.
    Thanks,
    S

    Hi Xavier,
SNC integration with XI has predefined mappings. So ask your basis guys to download the XI content for SNC using with PI. Once they deployed you will have a builtin predefined content in XI. Within the predefined content mostly they all are xsl mappings.
If your requirement is with the standard idocs then you can use them directly. Else if their is customization they you may need to change the mappings according to your requirements.

  • Vendor postings with purchase order

    hi,
I am learning SAP Fi/co.I have one doubt .what are steps we have to maintain to post vendor transactions with purchase order.if u have any material about mm plz send to me.

    Commitment
    Definition
Identifies costs that will be incurred in the future for materials and services that you have requested or ordered. Commitments reserve funds that will become costs at a future date.
    Use
On the account assignment objects, Commitments Management portrays the cost side of the procurement process for MM Purchasing. The costs incurred are assigned to business objects, such as orders, cost centers, or projects.
In Commitments Management, you can specify which object the costs are to be assigned to (for example, purchase order costs). In this case, this is known as an Initial Account Assignment.
Commitments Management distinguishes between three types of commitments, depending on the account assignment object:
    Order Commitment:
The commitment is initially assigned to an order.
    Cost Center Commitment:
The commitment is initially assigned to a cost center.
    Project Commitment:
The commitment is initially assigned to a project, or to a work breakdown structure element.
For more information, see the SAP Library:

    For Cost Center Accounting

    For Project System

    Integration
    Commitments occur
    In Purchasing, due to:
Purchase requisitions (purchase requisition commitment) define the internal requirement for a material or a service. Purchase requisitions have a control function and you change them at any time.
    Purchase orders (purchase order commitment):
Purchase orders are contractual requests to a vendor, to supply certain goods or services according to the agreed conditions. No short-term, unilateral changes can be made.
due to funds commitments (commitment for funds commitments):
    - You can use Funds Commitments to reserve funds for costs you are fairly certain to incur, but you cannot yet assign to a specific business transaction (such as, a purchase order or a purchase requisition).

  • SSP5 and supplier catalogs

I know that SSP5 is tightly integrated with Oracle Purchasing, but can it run as a stand alone product? If so, does it come with its own supplier catalog, or does it provide "hooks" to 3rd party catalog systems?
    Thank you,
    Russ Rubis

SSP5(iProcurement) is integrated with Oracle Purchasing - mainly links to Items (Item Master, Blanket PO Items), Suppliers, etc... and it cannot be used as a Stand alone system.
Also, (SSP5) iProcurement is just a Requisition creation system and you have to use the Purchasing module to convert these Approved REQs into Purchase Orders etc...
iProcurement allows you to load external catalogs. You can also access supplier punchout capabilities.
    Regards

  • Integration with IP and other 3rd party procurement apps

I don't know about the rest of you, but one of the primary hurdles that we have to get past with target customers is that most of the big ones already have procurement systems that produce POs. Ideally, they'd like to post those POs as either an RFQ/Auction or directly as a PO for a particular supplier. This is particularly true for big manufacturers who initially want to bring their OEM suppliers and contract manufacturers into an on-line procurement environment and then expand that to auctions and RFQs later. The scenario refers primarily to those trading partners that do not have their own back-end systems and EAI solutions.
We think we have come up with a workaround by taking the EDI produced out of the buyer's system into our Hub, transforming it into our cannonical form, then turning the data into an OEX OAG XML auction document, uploading it through a dummy account for that buyer, once the bid is placed by the supplier, automatically accepting, and generating a final PO as a PO Akn back to the buyer's system. It is a little hokey, but it is the best we've been able come up with. (Of course, once the PO message from the buyer's system is sent, the buyer wants nothing to do with it after that. They just want to receive a PO Akn back).
    Any ideas?

    David,
It sounds like you are hitting on two of our critical issues. Specifically, our issues are the following:
    1. We have customers with existing procurement systems containing requisitioning/workflow/approval functionality. They want to continue using this functionality while using our Exchange for sourcing/bidding/tabulation/etc. This gives us the requirement for integration to these procurement systems (iP, SAP, Peoplesoft, etc). We need the ability to load to the Exchange all the parameters for an Auction (open date, close date, type of auction, etc), line items, and potentially even suppliers. We envision that this document load generated from the requisition system could even be flagged to open the auction immediately without the buyer ever having to go to the Exchange. The buyer would then go to the Exchange to see bids and to do the award process. Once the bid was awarded, this would generate a document back to the requisition system for issuance of a PO by the procurement system.
Our second issue is the ability to simply issue a manual PO. This could be done within the Exchange and/or a procurement system. Right now we are missing significant transaction volume due to the inability for a buyer to go issue a direct PO to a vendor on the Exchange without going through the auction or catalog process. If the goods the buyer wants to buy are under their threshold for required bidding and are not in the catalog, they go around the Exchange with a paper PO. This eliminates all the benefits of integration and our chance to charge for this transaction
Both of these issues are extremely critical for us. Dee, what can you tell us about the integration capabilities with procurement/requisition systems or the manual PO functionality? We have heard multiple conflicting reports about the availability of integration with iP.
    Thanks!

  • FI-CA integration with MM

    Hi,
would you please shade some light on the FI-CA integration with MM? Is it necessary to use FM if such integration is required?
Is it necessary at all to have such an integration if payments can be executed from FI-AP?
    Thank you in advance!

    Hi,
    FI-MM Integration:
FI-MM integration is done through following menu path as under
    IMG-Financial Accounting-General Ledger accounting-Business transaction-Integration-Materials management-Define Accounts for Materials Management
    or
Transaction code : OBYC (in easy access)
In this transcation we have to specify GL account codes for material valuation created by MM consultants.
The process in MM is herebelow,
    1) Purchase Order : Tr code ME21N - here no integration required with FI
    2) Goods Issue : Tr Code MIGO - here no integratinwith FI
    3) Invoice Reciept - Tr Code MIRO - here when the invoice is recieved & MM process the transaction based on OBYC configuration system will generate FI document. System also generates Material document as well
    4) Payment : Tr code F110 - Here also the the transcation affects FI
    FI-SD integation:
This integration done using Tr Code VKOA. here we have to define GL account codes to Condition types.
    Process
    1) SD Raises Sales Order - No implication in FI
    2) SD raises Delivery doc - No implication in FI
    3) SD processes billing - no implication in FI
    4) SD releases billing doc to FI - FI document gets generated (Tr Code VFX3)

  • FI INTEGRATION WITH MM

    Dear friends,
Please provide me process/steps the Realtime Fi integration with MM.
    its very helpful for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    FI-MM Integration
Main screen of FI-MM integration is OBYC
Here we have to link the MM movement types to FI G/L accounts
Points to know : Movement Types, Assignment of Movement types to T-keys (T-code OMJJ), Value string (I also need some information on this) , OMWN and OMWB transactions.
There is a close integration b/w FI & MM, actually document flows from MM to FI in the following areas such as,
    1. Movement Types:
Used to enable the system to find the predefined posting rules determining how the accounts of financial accounting system are to be posted & to update the stock fields in the matrl master data.(Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, etc)
    2. Valuation Class:
Assignment of material to grp of gl account, used to determine the gl accounts that are updated as a result of goods movement.
    3. Transaction/Event key:
Used to control the storage or filing of documents & assignment of documents.Used to differeniate b/w various transactions such as goods movement tht occur in inventory.
    4. Material Type:
Each material should assign mtrl type in mtrl master record used to update whether changes made in qty are updated in material master record & change in value also updated in stock account
    Process Flow in MM
Step 1 Generating purchase requisition( PP-MM involved)
    Step 2 Making inquiries (MM)
Step 3 Raising purchase order (MM)
Step 4 Release of purchase order ( MM)
Step 5 Goods received from vendor ( MM and FI )
    Entry will be
    Raw Material Inventory a/c Dr.
    GR/IR clearing a/c Cr.
Step 6 Invoice verification and quality assurance (FI and MM)
    Entry will be
    GR/IR clearing a/c Dr
    Vendor a/c Cr
Step 7 Goods issued for consumption(MM, FI and PP)
    Entry will be
    Raw material consumption a/c Dr
    Raw material inventory account Cr
Step 8 Production receipt( FI, MM & PP)
    Entry will be
    Finished goods inventory a/c Dr
    Change in stock Cr
Step 9 Finished goods delivered to customer(MM, SD & FI)
    Entry will be
    Change in stock Dr
    Finished goods inventory a/c Cr
Step 10 Raising invoice on customers( SD & FI)
    Customers a/c Dr
    Sales a/c Cr
Step 11 Receipt of payment from customers( Same as SD-FI integration)
