Ssrs 2014 errorrule 'Create list of measure group-dimension pairs

I'm getting this error generating a model for a ssas tabular model in ssrs 2014. When I test the tabulur definition in Excel under SSAS everything works fine and there are no errors.

According to your description, you get an empty Measure Group Columns list when defining relationship. Right?
Based on your screenshot, you may notice that Measure group table is empty, so definitely it can't show any column in the dropdown list. If there's columns in the measure group that are related to the dimension columns, at least it will show the fact
table for Measure group.
In this scenario, please check if the fact table for the Measure group is existing. Re-process the Measure group and try again. If the issue persists, please re-create that measure group.

Column missing in measure group columns list for dimension usage

I added some new columns (dimension ids) to my fact table and refreshed the data source view. Now the new columns show up in the data source view for this fact table. But when I go to dimension usage to tie the new dimensions to this measure, I am not able
to find the columns just added in the measure group columns list.
What do I have to do to be able to see my new columns in this list so that I can update dimension usage.

According to your description, you add columns in fact table and the data source view is already refreshed. However, in dimension usage the meta data is not refreshed. Right?
In this scenario, I suggest you redeploy your cube. Because in Analysis Services, when we modify the cube, the changes are recorded in xxxxx.cube XML file. After you redeploy the cube, those changes are copied to Analysis Services server. Then
the source data will reload into the measure groups.

How do people in Designers group provide permissions after creating list/libraries?

We've always kept our SharePoint intranet pretty locked down, such that only those in an Owner's group can create lists and libraries. We decided to utilize the Designer group to allow a select handful of people to be able to create lists and libraries
(without making them owners of the site). How do these "designers" apply permissions? It doesn't appear that they can under the library settings.
There are no mistakes; every result tells you something of value about what you are trying to accomplish.

Oh I see. But if a user create a Library then user is the own of library and can assign the permission. when you click on the List / library settings on that page under the "Permissions and Management " can
you see the link "Permissions for this document library".

Per my understanding you have create an SSRS report with SharePoint list, now you don’t know to create the distinct parameters by using CAML query, right?
For the CAML language doesn’t have any reserved word (or tag) to set this particular filter to remove duplicate results, but we can use the custom code to do this function. I have tested on my local environment and we can do that by create one hidden parameter(Param1)
to get all the values from the fields which will add the filter and then create another parameter(Param2) to get the distinct values based on the Param1, we use the custom code to do the deduplication.

Poor Processing Performance after Migration from SSRS 2005 to SSRS 2014

Hello all,
a customer is moving from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2014 (clean install on a new machine). There are a lot of reports against an Analysis Services database. I have converted and deployed the reports. Most of them are showing a significant performance
improvement, but some of them became very slow.
Analyzing the report server's execution log I have discovered that the rendering time has increased very much (see picture for a specific report below - above the blue line is SSRS 2005 on an older machine, below is SSRS 2014 on a new machine).
Do you have any hints what I can do?

Thank you for your reply. Cumulative Update 4 has already been installed (I have just compared the installed version number with the list on
sqlserverbuilds.blogspot.com).
My first suspicion was also a rdl conversion problem. But as even reports with a blank page where showing this rendering performance problem I began to look at the datasets (although they are executed very fast according to the report server's
execution log view).
All MDX queries have been designed using the
Analysis Services MDX Query Designer. The option for not showing empty cells is activated to supress empty rows. But this option always applies to both axes (when usings the query designer). Thus columns for measures with null values in all rows are omitted
from the result set. When rendering a report the rsMissingFieldInDataSet-Error is shown, but in SSRS 2005 and also in the Data Tools for SQL Server 2014 this has no further impact.
But SSRS 2014 is performing very bad in this case. If I remove the NON EMPTY clause for the columns (which only works when switching to the text query builder, so the customer is not able to modify the queries anymore) the report performance will be as expected.
So far there're only two reports left where this does not solve the performance issue.
During testing I have also observered the BIDS - SQL 2008 R2 Warnings not clearing-bug which can be reproduced by everyone except
Microsoft ;)

I am using the following MDX query on one of my SSRS report.

Over here, the data is being filtered always for current month and for a location that is being selected by user from a report selection parameter.
I would like to get the count of total no. of customers and sum of the amount measure.
When I am using them in calculated members it gives incorrect values. It considers all records (ignores the sub-select statements) instead of only the records of current month and selected location.
I also tried with EXISTING keyword in calculated members but there is not difference in output. Finally, I manage the same at SSRS level.
Can anybody please advise what are the ways to get the required sum of [Measures].[Amt] and count of [Customer].[Customer].[Customer Key].ALLMEMBERS dimension?
Also, does it make any difference if I manage it as SSRS level and not at MDX query level?

We can use SUM function and COUNT function to sum of [Measures].[Amt] and count of [Customer].[Customer].[Customer Key].ALLMEMBERS dimension. Here is a sample query for you reference.

Besides, you ask that does it make any difference if I manage it as SSRS level and not at MDX query level. I don't thinks it will make much difference. The total time to generate a reporting server report (RDL) can be divided into 3 elements:Time to retrieve
the data (TimeDataRetrieval);Time to process the report (TimeProcessing);Time to render the report (TimeRendering). If you manage it on MDX query level, then the TimeDataRetrieval might a little longer. If you manage it on report level, then the TimeProcessing
or TimeRendering time might a little longer. You can test it on you report with following query:

Creating a new user group?

I have created a new domain (say, TestDomain), in which I have created a portal
(say TestPortal). I went to the admin page for the web application (TestPortalWebApp)
and clicked on the 'create group portal' link. It took me to the 'Create New Group
Portal For Web' page. In this page when I click on the 'browse user groups' button,
I see a list of user groups: AdministerUser, ConfigureComponents, ConfigureSystem
etc.
Where are these coming from? How can I add my own user group to this list?

I'm looking at getting my servers upgraded to SQL Server 2014. My SSRS reporting server is SQL 2012 native mode. I know there were not really any significant enhancements in native mode going from SSRS 2008 R2 to SSRS 2012. Does SSRS

Address book in OSX 10.7.2: how to create a new contacts group?

Hi.
I have upgraded to OSX 10.7.2 on my MacBook Pro.
How can I create a new contacts group using addresses in my Address Book?
The idea is to use the group to send emails to a bunch of people without having to write them in individually.
(Before, on on OSX 10.5, I went into my Address Book, clicked on the left to "Add a Group" and then slid in the contact files I wanted to include in the group.

Open adress book with 2 pages exposed and reach the position with the groups listed on the left page.
In the bottom left corner there is a "+" ... just click on it
Even easyer... press shift command N

Error occurred while processing the "sales" partition of the "sales" measure group in the cube

Hi
when i ran the job for processing the cube it showing the error like "error occurred while processing the sales partition of the sales measure group in the cube". but in log files no error massage was there. after get that error message we ran
the cube manually
at that time the cube executed successfully.
my aim when the job was run it will be process automatically but it is not like that.
can you suggest the solution.

According to your description, you get the error when using Windows Task to process a cube on a schedule, however can process the cube on SSMS successful manually, right?
In your scenario, you can process the cube manually, the issue can be cause by Windows Task was not set correctly. So you can try to process the cube using SSIS package. The Analysis Services Processing Task in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) allows
for the processing of one to many to all Analysis Services objects in an SSIS package. Once the SSIS package is created, then a job can be created within the SQL Server Management Studio which will allow for scheduling.

Unexpected error durung process after adding a new measure group

I add a new measure group with distinct count in my cube
I process my cube then I have:
Erreur interne : Une erreur inattendue s'est produite. Erreurs dans le moteur de stockage OLAP : Une erreur s'est produite lors du traitement de la partition 'Requirement' du groupe de mesures 'Formalized 1' pour le cube 'Requirements_view' à partir de la
base de données SeikoCube. (internal error : unexpected error happens ... An error occured when processing the partition for measure group for the cube)
If I delete this measure, it works well.
Whap happens ? How could I resolve it ?

According to your description, you encounter the error while processing the cube after added the distinct count to cube, right? In your scenario, which process option are you used to process the cube?
Generally, if you add a measure you are changing the structure of the cube which will invalidate the cube, the easiest way to get the cube "fully operational" again would be to do a ProcessFull. The same thing applies when removing a measure.
Besides, please ensure that the steps to add distinct count are correct. There are different options for creating a distinct count measure in SSAS. Please refer to the link below to see the details.

SSRS 2014 with SharePoint 2013 - Integrated Mode vs Native Mode Questions

Hi,
We are using SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server 2014.
We are building a number of SSRS Reports that pull data from SQL Databases. (Pl note, we are not pulling any data from SharePoint Lists)
We have to make a choice between running the Reports in Native Mode or SharePoint Integrated Mode.
We saw this link: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb326290(v=sql.105).aspx - but it has no updated version for SQL 2014.
We have questions on which one to choose - based on what criteria, based on performance (which will be faster), other benefits, pros and cons and also on things that work only on SharePoint Integrated Mode and things that work only on Native Mode.
Would appreciate guidance on the above.

If you had install Sharepoint server, then configure the Reporting Services in Sharepoint mode to take advantage of the Sharepoint. However, when you run a report in the SharePoint integrated mode in SQL Server Reporting Services, the report may run noticeably
