ST12/ ST05 Details trace list

Hi All,
Just would like to know after I run the ST12, and open the trace list, my object: eg: EKPO are able to find it the trace list.
Then i tried few times after the new indexes created in EKPO, i not manage to find the EKPO object in the details trace list in ST05. The program is accessing this table to retrieved the EKPO details. Is anyone have ideas how is doesnt show in the list even i hhave display out the all trace lists.

Hi,
if you miss details (tables) in the ST05 SQL trace, it was most likely overwritten.
Check out ST01 - GoTo - Administration and analyze the Start and Exit time
stamps of the ST05 trace files. If the oldest start time stamp is newer than
the time stamp when you did the trace the trace data has been overwritten.
Retrace and use appropriate filters in ST05 (include or exclude tables) .

Hi,
I tried in my system and I can see INSERT statement on EKKO and EKPO tables. What exactly you are looking for? Some one else might have switched on the trace at the same time. Can you try again and see.
ST05=>Switch on trace
ME21N=>Create PO.
ST05=>Switch off and display trace.
In trace list search for EKKO and EKPO.
Column names are not shown in the trace list. It is the SQL trace and column list is generated dynamically like :A0, :A1....

That might be because the tables are updated via BAPIs ... Do you think SAP uses direct update statements on the DB tables ??
I didn't get above statement. Is there any other way of updation that happens when using BAPI? I believe that, even in case of BAPI there will be update task FMs called during database update. Please correct if i got it wrong.

Default the master / detail select lists

When I load a form that has pre-existing data I need to be
able to default the master / detail select lists to the correct
values.
(so the lists load with the correct values "selected" in each
case.)
Is it possible to do this and if so, how?

JFileChooser ("details" and "list")

I need help with figuring out why the "details" and "list" toggle buttons are disabled, i.e. do nothing when clicked, in the JFileChooser dialog. It is also the case that the "details" button is defaulted as chosen. I cannot find anywhere in the code that these two buttons are specifically disabled or enabled. Is there a related type function that needs to be implemented? BTW, this is in JDK1.4. Any help is appreciated.

Look in javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalFileChooserUI, line 201 (jdk1.3)
there you can see, that these buttons get created, but disabled. There is no action prepared for these buttons.
What we do with the jdk1.3-Filechooser-UI is to remove these buttons after creation:

JFileChooser Details and List Button

I need Help!!!!
Can someone explain to me how to enable the 'Details' and the 'List' button for the JFileChooser Metal Look & Feel. If this is not possible can someone exactly explain to me how to dislpay the file size and the file modified date in the JFileChooser display window. I have been racking by brain trying to figure this out. I need to display this information in the JFileChooser Open dialog window along with the file name, once I get to this point I will then need to sort and display these files by the file modified date. Thanks in advance for any help that I will receive on this topic.

Yes, the "Details" and "List" work great! :)
It will also display the "Type" and "Attributes" of the files!
I couldn't find a "sort" function, but there is a good looking "public void setDragEnabled(boolean b)" method! :)
I use the beta version of jdk1.4 (b65), maybe in the official release there'll be a sort function..

Remote Citadel Access: Only trace list possible

I can't read traces from a remote Citadel 5 Database. The only thing that works is to get a trace list of the database.
The Measurement and Automation Explorer can see the remote Database,
but if I want to expand the database icon to see the trace list, I get
a yellow/red question mark in it, but no trace list.

I am mystified why the two lists differ and the document when in use seems to be controlled by the list on the right, which takes away some of the user rights.
Is there an explanation for this. I would have thought that as the documents were password protected for permissions such as commenting and signing Adobe Reader could not change this.

Yes, thats right. I used Open Office 3 to generate the pdf. I have also tried using pdftk and Adobe Distiller 5 with the same result.
Your statement implies, the 'Adobe Reader' features cannot be fully utilized without a valid Adobe Acrobat Pro.
This is a document to which I have the source. I have been able to create the pdf with the required set of permissions based on standards. But I am being hassled because I didn't generate it with Adobe Pro! Well, I suppose this must have been a business decision, but its one thats standards contrary and morally low!
Adobe just lost an avid Reader user. I shall circulate my findings within my work and social circles. Thanks to competition and open source, I am sure to find a standards compliant reader without much delay.

In report ME2L use scope of list as AVIS and execute
Select the item no and go to PO history you will get GR/IR
Double click on Doc no and go in to all the required details

Creation of detailed packing list from SAP PS

Dear Sir,
We have ETO scenario and are in the business of manufacturing "Industrial Machinery" . We are using Project System (PS) also . After the final assembly the FERT Equipment gets ready and then it is put on trial for testing . After the successful trial the equipment is again disassembled into the desptachable parts and then delivery are created from the project .
Along with the Equipment , we also send the free spares and installation parts.
Kindly guide us as what steps need to be followed so that we can have Packing List generated from the SAP system for the items being shipped to the customer .

Hello AP, The BOM has already been created .But is there any method in particular in PS to add attributes to the Items and finally autogenerate the Final Packing List for Shipping to customer.

Trace generation is not producing the detail trace for queries in the block

For example one.sql file contains below stmts
begin
query1;
query2;
query3;
end;
Alter session set sql_trace = TRUE;
alter session set tracefile_identifier='7g26trc2' events '10046 trace name context forever, level 12';
@one.sql
! tkprof filename.trc plan.tkp It gives the segmentation fault error.
In the plan.tkp contains only the cost for the while one.sql it is not showing the plans and cost for query1,query2,query3,

Please try to be clear.
Normally the execution plans are in the raw trace files.
This will only happen if the session exited normally (ie issued an (implicit) commit)
If there are no execution plans in the trace file you will still be able to get them using the explain=<username/password>@service syntax in the tkprof command line. Please be aware in this case tkprof will determine the execution plans, and tkprof doesn't know the exact datatype of literals.
Did you notice the tkprof session ended in a segmentation fault. Is the trace file huge?
events 10046 trace name context forever, level 4 will show you what your session is waiting for. 10046 trace name context forever, level 8 will show you bind variables.
10046 trace name context forever, level 12 will show both.
10046 trace name context off will disable the event.
sql_trace=true is equivalent to 10046 trace name context forever, level 1.
Obviously this is documented on Metalink and in many books.
