Stacking SG-500 issue

Hello,
we have a stack with two SG500-52 and we already bought a new sg500-28 to add a new element in the stack.
Unfortunately when we connect the switch in the stack port nothing happens (the port remains down).
Is there any issue regarding the stacking with switches with different number of ports?
When we connected the new switch to a stack with two sg500-28 ports, the link goes up and the everything is ok.
Thank you
BR
Vincenzo

Hi,
These switches are compatible for stacking, refer to below link. If your cables are okay, it could because of faulty GBIC modules.

Try to use some hardcode values instead of dynamic values in your JSPs and then check whether the same problem occurs or not.

  • WebI Horizontal stacked chart formatting issue

I have created a stack chart report and I have labels defined in the X - axis. We have the issue with the gap between the X - axis line and the labels. We would like to know if we can reduce this gap between the axis line and the labels. I have attached the sample image below for your reference.

Not really.  I need to have stacked bars grouped.  For example, assume you had survey results.  For question 1, you had a bar with 20 disagrees, 5 neutrals, and 50 agrees.  For question 2, a bar with 10 disagrees, 2 neutrals and 30 agrees, and so on for say 10 questions.  This would be your stacked bar chart.  Now, say you had information spanning a number of years, 2008, 2009, 2010.  What I want is a group of stacked bars (3 one for each year) for Q1, then 3 more stacked bars for Q2 and so on.
This is a combination of the grouped and the stacked bar charts.

  • 500 issue

i am working on a website which gets this kind of error very
    rarely and it comes randomly:
    here are the some details:
    500
    ROOT CAUSE:
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: unable to create new native
    thread
So is there any way around or a hack that if the page
continously appears this way, it should be catched by page refresh
and when it does it occur, the page should be displayes.
Like when this error occurs, the page should automatically
get refreshed and when it does not appear, then it should display
    the page normally..
i am asking this beacsuse the HOst HOSTMYSITE have this
issue. I asked them about this and they told me that
"This is most likely a result of the coldfusion service being
restarted for the server. Being that you are on a shared server,
this will happen more frequently then if you were on a VPS or a
    dedicated server."
So rather than moving to VPS, is there some hack around to do
    this work able

    could you tell us your:
    - operating system and (RAM) memory
    - Coldfusion version
    - server type (that is, shared, dedicated, etc)

  • Crystal Report Version 11.5.8.826 - Color Sorting - Stacked Bar Chart Issue

    Hi All,
I have issue on sorting the color on stacked bar chart.
Below steps are not reflect the color sorting.
    1. Right click on chart area in the report
    2. Select chart expert
    3. Go to Color Highlight tab
    4. In the item list, change the sequence of color
Is there any way to sort the color on stacked bar chart?
    Please advise, thank you.
    Regards, Sumardi

    hi,
You can right click on each bar individually,
Format Series Riser -> Fill -> Foreground Color.
This will apply the required colors.
Also, if you have any color standards, try to create  a sample report with this kind of Chart and specify the colors individually.
Right Click the chart -> Save as Template.
In future, if any other reports have Stacked Bar Chart with same color standards, you can directly re-use this template.
    Regards,
    Vamsee

  • Stacked bar chart issue

I have a stacked bar chart that works fine until one of the series involved returns no data - then it shows an empty chart with "no data found" on top. Anyone has any idea? Thanks

Sorry for expressing my proposal in a wrong way. This is what I meant:
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:46
If you click on the dept 70 (which doesn't exist in my table) the chart will still show up. This workarround is good for the most of the cases where there is a requirement like yours. There , you will also find the chart query behind.
The problem of no data found message was in my case present mostly there, where I needed to track a development of values grouped by time periods (months, quarters) and then query some portions of it.

  • SQL*Loader-500 Issue

    Hello
Using Oracle 11g, I am trying to load a table from data in csv files with oracle SQL Loader,
    table : purchase
    control file : purchase.ctl
Even if I am giving the right path for control file I still get the error :
SQL*Loader-500: Unable to open file (purchase.dat)
    SQL*Loader-553: file not found
SQL*Loader-509: System error: The system cannot find the file specifiedSo why is SQL Loader looking for the file purchase.dat??
    Any help is appreciated

Talend is the right solution to load data. Now about your problem, have you configured Talend in order to transfer the data? Because Talend can easily transfer the files.
Maybe you might be able to go to the Talend website to get more information there: http://www.talend.com/

  • Stack sf 500 -48ports

Good day. I have 3 sf500 Cisco, 2 sfp cable. how to connect all 3 the switch in a stack on the number of ports? 3 Now the switch connected so
    s3 first port -> s4 second port
    s3 second port -> s4 third port
Link light is green on only one switch (2 bulbs of 4)
Maybe something is necessary to register in the console to make the stack?

Do not know what is going wrong with your situation. The exactly same setup, thanks to your complete test case, on my Windows XP works right away. By the way, you do have "C:\temp\uploads" directory that is writable, right?

  • Can you setup LACP across a stack with SG500

    Hi guys,
I am looking at buying 2x SG500-48 switches with the stacking cables and connecting them into a ring stack topology.
my reason for wanting this is so we can setup LACP connections from our hyper-v servers to the 2 stacked switches so the we have a redundant connection to the network if one of the switches is to fail. can you setup LACP links on the stacked SG-500 switches to be in the same group/link?

    Hello Damon,
The following link shows the step-by-step instructions to configure LACP ling aggregation on Sx500 switches.

  • 100Mbit NIC Issue

I am currently using CVI-RT 9.0.  I was told to post my question to this forum (versus a CVI forum) since it involves a RT matter.
I am having a problem with my system when the NIC is set to autonegoiate or 100MBit.  I get erratic system behavior.  At times the system seems to work fine.  Other times I get network timeouts.  However, when I force the NIC to 10MBit the problems seem to go away.  I had previously posted this issue in the CVI forum when using an earlier version of CVI-RT.  After many messages indicating that I was probalbly doing something wrong, I eventally heard that there was a problem with the stack and this issue was under investagation by R&D.  Is there still a issue with the stack related to the 100MBit speed setting?

    Hi Tom,
I was able to find the report that was filed before.  Unfortunately it is still under investigation.  The ID number for this issue is 102172; when a new version of CVI-RT is released you will be able to use that ID number to determine if the issue has been fixed or not.  Again, I apologize for the inconvenience, but we are working to fix this issue.

  • 2960s Link-Flap issue.

I've recently had a few ports on 48 way 2960s go in to err mode.
Bit of digging and they have been disabled due to link flapping. I disconnected the devices to check cables etc and all checked out. I've since repatched in another stacked 2960s without issue.
The switch with the issue seems to have got progressively worse, what started with a couple of ports now has gone to gi1/0/33-40 are now disabled due to flapping.Even though none of the ports are now in use. I've restarted the switch just in case it was having a special moment but no luck.
    show log displays
    000062: Dec 17 19:30:19.490: %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: link-flap error detected on Gi1/0/40, putting Gi1/0/40 in err-disable state
Switch attempts to recover after 300s with no luck. Just to confirm there is nothing patched in to the effected ports.
Any suggestions or is it it RMA time.

    Hello Leo Laohoo,
Thank you for the quick reply,
I mentioned earlier in the thread that I've unpatched and tested the cables and have moved the devices in to another switch all working fine. Ports also have recover on too, and still are in error mode.
Below is test result on one port which shows fine.

  • Runtime Struts Exception on WinXP but not on Linux

I have developed a Struts based application on a Red Hat EL WS machine with JDeveloper 9.5.0.2. Every thing works as expected when I run the application in JDev's OC4J. The views are tested in both Opera and Mozilla browsers.

At runtime it fails at a Struts <html:form> element in both IE and Firefox with the same exception error 500 with a stack traces starting with:
