Stamps cannot be hyperlinked - basic funktion not working. Really?

At my former job, I had Acrobat professional (V8??) and used stamps quite a lot to add always-the-same text to an already finished document. This stamp had my email adress linked to my email adress and my www.adress linked to my url. I use Acrobat 9 PRO now under windows XP, just to discover, that if I make a new pdf document out of this MS WORD document, this will have the links I want just fine. But: if I use this document which is fine and use it as a stamp in another document, the links are not there anymore vanished in the adobe orcus. I have been reading all day, and found no solution.
Maybe I should have a work-around, but I used this method often, and it was perfect. Help? Hilfe? Thanks!

An external hyperlink should handoff to Safari and leave iBooks.
If that's not happening, perhaps there is something misconfigured on your iPad? Have you manually confirmed those links work in Safari on your iPad?

I made the text NIALL O BYRNE in the top left corner a rollover link that would bring viewers back to homepage. You know, its good to have something to bring them back like. It works grand on preview mode and it works great on preview site in browser however when i published the site through my server today and put it online this link wont work. Absolutely driving me wild, ive been through everything over n over and its getting late in the day and I should be out enjoying a few pints in Dublins fair city. Im getting cabin fever in the office and its probably the hottest day we've ever seen here so any help asap is much appreciated.
when i was doing the nav/menu I did delete the [home] button from the list that muse automatically builds for you. So I am hazarding a guess that this may have something to do with it. ??? or am I looking for the prob in the wrong field. Jaysus though if anyone knows will you let us know before I spontaneously combust under by own frustration. My lips are hanging off me here for a sip of the pure drop so give us an auld dig out, "The Man" says I cant leave until I have it fixed and I might aswell be asking the office furniture than any of the clowns left in this place. And its rapidly approaching 5 oclock !!

If you go to site then go to the "work" category and try click on the NIALL O BYRNE link back to home page it just isnt working. Ive now noticed that I cannot get it to work in The Muse preview either, maybe something is wrong with site structure or related to my previous idea surrounding the menu/nav.

Hyperlinks in Excel not working when doing the PDF Convert

I have worked on this and worked on this. Now I am at a point where I need assistance as I am stumped. I have about 20 different facilities that have financial statements that need to be published in Adobe as a PDF format and when I go through the steps to convert everything looks good, except the links are not working. We have about 62-74 pages that will be exported and due to the departments and such we need the links to work.
This is through Excel-
I select the worksheets I want to convert then after it is done I open the PDF and the links are not working. To set them up manually in Adobe is too labor intensive -- any ideas on how to get this to work?

I can send an attachment, please beware that is it financial information that cannot be published-also the hyperlinks are setup in Excel as well.
Not sure how to upload the worksheet and would prefer to send via email if at all possible.

Hyperlink to webpage not working??

I am attempting to make a hyperlink (to a webpage) of an object on a slide (a circle). After clicking on the object, opening the Inspector, checking "Enable as a Hyperlink" and then beginning to type the URL in the proper place, the Inspector box immediately becomes inactive and the typing appears in the object, rather than in the Inspector. Perhaps I have overlooked a setting or a command, but I cannot make it work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. (Keynote '09 v.5.0.5)

Windows update cannot run because service is not working.

Thinkpad E545, Windows 7 (64 bit) Professional. When I attempt to run Windows Update I get the message "Windows update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not working." Microsoft Fix-It does not help. I found a YouTube posted by Richard Lloyd and followed the steps: the Windows Update service is running, the Background service is running. Several web sources including Microsoft point to an Intel RST driver. I downloaded this driver g1io15ww.exe and ran the file, but still no joy. A solution would be welcome, and Happy Thanksgiving. -- Alan

Your laptop is AMD-based (IIRC) so an Intel driver isn't going to help.
If the update issue is caused by the AHCI driver incorrectly reporting physical sector size (that's what those IRST reports are about) it might be fixed by installing the correct AHCI driver for your laptop:

There are other reasons for Win update failures, so this isn't a sure thing. Worth a try, maybe. I've personally only seen this issue with Intel hardware.

Basic Search not working in 9iAS release 2

gurus,
the basic search is not working in 9iAS Release 2.
i created few items in the portal and searched for values in basic search ... it did not return any search results ... i checked the search settings and found the Drop Index button ... thus i assumed that the indexes are created .... is there something wrong here ...?
also, the client wants the search to return in a custom page .... how would i achieve that .... is there an api that i could call in form action and render the search output in my custom page ....?
any help would be appreciated ...

Have you run the job to update the indexes? Please refer to the Configuration Guide for instructions on synchronizing the indexes with your content.
The default Search Results page is defined in the Global Settings, under the Administration tab on the Builder page. Any page can be used for search results, as long as it contains the Custom Search portlet.

Hyperlink text will not work with _self, only as self and then creates window

I understand that the code below should work but it doesn't, I have to take the underline before self out, for the hyperlink to work at all, and then it creates another window for the file. There may some sort of glitch that I am not aware of. But the code below does not work as is in my app. Any further suggestions?

Hyperlinks in presentation not working once published - Presenter 7.0.7

I have a link to an intranet address that will not work once the PowerPoint presentation has been published via Presenter 7.0.7. The cursor does not change to a pointer and nothing launches when the link is clicked. I have verified the Flash Player security settings as well as ensured no formatting of the text link except for the color change that happens when the link is inserted.

Thanks for sharing the presentation.
Textbox in which your hyperlink is placed have text containing Text effects. When you publish the presentation then any text with text effect is published as an image.
So, place text with a hyperlink in a separate textbox which don't have any text effects. Segregate the content having text effect and hyperlink in 2 separate textbox.

Hyperlinks in .chm not working

I am authoring my content in Frame 7.2, and importing the Frame chapter files one at a time into RH7. The Frame files have numerous cross-references - some to headings in the same chapter, some to headings in other chapters. When I import the chapters into RH7, the cross-references within that chapter convert to hyperlinks in RH7 and work fine in the .chm file. However the cross-references to other chapters do not - they are formatted as hyperlinks in RH7 and in the .chm, but they do nothing when clicked.
I have tried importing with all Frame files open, or with only the book file open - no difference.
Any one have suggestions? Thanks!

Hi TTS_Eric and welcome to the RH community.
Inter CHM links are performed by using the Insert > Hyperlink menu item or toolbar icon. When the dialog is displayed, click the down arrow to the left of the "Link to" field and select Remote Topic. From there, navigate to the CHM file that contains the topic and from there the list of topic is displayed from where you can select the topic.
If this is what you have done, there are other possibilities that could be causing the problem. The first is that your CHM files are not on a local drive or are not in the same directory. Check this first and let us know how you get on.

Basic functions not working in Acrobat Pro X...

Hi,
I'm finding that basic functions are not working properly. I tried re-launching the application as well to determine if a technical glitch or not.
Control + Shift + R is not allowing me to rotage a page.
Control + or - is not letting me zoom in & out, however when I click the big plus or minus icons, it does.
What's with the loss of short-cut functionality? Please advise, thank you.

Basic Search Not working

Hi,
I'm playing around with the Basic Search Tutorial in the
Dreamweaver CS23 Help files and i cannot seem to get it to work,
even though I'm following it step by step.
When I type in a word, that does exist the search Results
page opens but the page is blank except for ht Dynamic table
Headers.
I'm specifying the GET function, but I have also tried Post
but the same outcome.
Testing the Recordset in the Search results page works fine.
Anyone any hints here please?

Figured it out. The Help files were misiing several key
steps. I used a URL Variable to the mix and now the search

Basic scripts not working

I'm trying to learn actionscript and doing the most basic scripts is not working.
I followed the steps in the video (make a pink circle, F8, Name = mcCircle, Instance = circle1_mc). Next I create a new layer named actions, click on the frame, open the actions window, type in "circle1_mc.alpha = 0;". Save and Ctrl-Enter. I've tried various (aka - every) locations for the action script, various alpha values, checked spelling, and recreated it several times in several files; the circle is *still* there. I don't know what I'm doing wrong or what step I'm missing. I also own a Flash book and followed their steps -- same as above using trace(circle1.x, circle1.y) and it also doesn't work.
Any clues what I'm doing wrong?

You are selecting file type as Flash File(Actionscript 2.0) and trying to implement 3.0 feature(alpha not _alpha).
just select Actionscript 3.0 fille type and do the same. You will get the result. just try out.

Hyperlinks (to URL) not working in MOS

Hi, I have a multistate objets in which I have an image as an hyperlink to an URL in each state but they are not working. Could someone tell me what i'm doing wrong? Thank you

I'm not sure how some of the links in one of my notes were created.
My thinkng is that there are many applications that can make the determination that something that starts with http:// or https:// can be made to behave as a hyperlink
I do know that I did not purposely create a hyperlink and then paste it into my note.
Also, the only time that I receive the Open URL option in the services is when I select text. E.G if i have text in my Note like jguitar.com and I select the text and then choose Notes > Services, the Open URL option appears and the link will open. If I select the word jguitar all by itself/alone, the option doesn't appear, so the application can tell if it is a possible choice for opening a URL.
Something isn't quite adding up......
