Star Wars Bundle not released in a timely manner?

I like many others purchased individual Star Wars movies on pre-order! Then suddenly Friday morning there it was $89.95! I sent Apple an email Friday asking for the ability to get credit for individual movies against "Bundle". Anybody tried to get this done also? Anybody heard anything?

Thanks for your response. The problem was due to me not fully understanding the implications of the router configuration. Under the VPN and Remote Access settings for Remote Access Control you choose which protocols are going to be used for the LAN to LAN
connection. I had blindly followed the guide which used PPTP.
What I had not realised was that the guide issued by Draytek assumed there were no other incoming VPN connections.
Because the router already used NAT to redirect port traffic, selecting PPTP for LAN to LAN disabled the NAT settings for PPTP and staff using 'on-demand' VPN connections were unable to connect because the PPTP was being treated as a LAN to LAN connection. Authentication
for the connection was failing because the router did not recognise the users' Windows domain account. Also, the there is a small explanatory note stating this will happen on that setting but I had not read it properly.
Once I changed the LAN to LAN protocol to L2TP and unchecked the PPTP option staff were again able to use 'on-demand' VPN connections.

Star Wars Bundle?

I preordered Star Wars episodes 4, 5, & 6. I wanted to do the bundle of all 6 movies that other people were providing but since I tunes would not let you preorder the bundle I preordered just the last 3 movies. Now iTunes is offering the star wars bundle with all 6 movies for $89.99. I thought since i had purchased three of the movies it would lower the cost to $29.99 since I have already payed $60. but it still shows $89.99 I clicked on the buy button and it warns me that I already own some of the content do I want to go ahead and purchase the bundle. I am scared it will charge me $89.99 on top of the $60 I already spent am I out of luck because I preordered 3 of the movies or am I missing something. Thanks

Error 718: did not respond in a timely manner

We have had a VPN solution in place for many years. We have a Windows Server 2012 Standard edition member server on our domain with NPS/RRAS setup on it. Routing and remote access has always worked fine. There is just one NPS policy which
is setup to allow connections and authentication is determined on whether the connecting user account is a member of a 'VPN' security group. Our office router, a Draytek 2830 acts as the gateway and is configured to forward the relevant VPN port traffic
to the NPS server. The Draytek uses port forwarding for a variety of things (IMAP, SMPT etc), and these continue to work fine.
Late on Friday, one of our remote staff rang up and said she could not connect via VPN from her Windows 7 Professional laptop. When she tried to connect she said that error 718 was displayed stating the remote computer did not respond in a timely manner.
Today, I have tried connecting from home and I am seeing the same error on my Windows 8.1 Pro desktop.
I made some configuration changes to the Draytek router in our office last week and had configured it to accept a LAN to LAN VPN connection from a remote Draytek router. This is configured between the routers themselves - additional configuration
of our Windows server is not required.
Please note that the LAN to LAN VPN connection has not yet been tested as the remote Draytek router is not in place. Configuration of our office router (the receiving router) is straight forward - you configure a 'profile' (which you
select from a numbered list), to accept incoming VPN connections, and the profile can be 'on' or 'off'. Today, after I received the 718 error I turned this profile off and rebooted the router but am still seeing the same error. Also, please
be aware that I had configured this router to accept incoming VPN connections from a remote Draytek in the middle of the week and that remote staff were still able to create 'traditional VPN' connections without any problems.
I have a backup of the configuration of our office Draytek before I made the changes but cannot apply it until I return to work tomorrow. However, I am not convinced this is the cause of the problem so if anyone has any experience with error 718
while trying to establish a VPN connection I would be extremely grateful if you could share any tips I might use to troubleshoot it.

I purchased Angry Birds Star Wars and Space but they will not sync to my device. I get a warning message that I need newer software, but my device is up-to-date. What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Star Wars DVDs not playable

Does somebody on the MBP engineering team have a grudge against The Lucas? I cannot get any of the original trilogy DVDs to play on my MBP. After 30 seconds of whirring the disk is ejected. I even first launched DVD Player, then inserted the disk without any luck. These DVDs play fine on my Intel iMac. Should I take this to a Genius Bar? None of my Mac-savvy friends can think of a solution.
Oh - these DVDs are legit, you know, from Best Buy. Not bought direct from Hong Kong via eBay.

It may be just enough dust got in the drives to make them unreadable.
Note these drives have multiple heads, and just one head has to be dirty for something to not work right. Take it to the genius bar, with DVDs known to work, and those that don't.

Is bestbuy Canada getting the Star Wars steelbooks? And is there a digital copy with it?

Just hearing of the Star Wars steelbooks being released in the U.S. And UK. Are we gonna see them? And what are the details? Price, digital copies, etc...

I came on here to ask the exact same thing. This will be the 10th time in my life I've bought the original trilogy, but those Steelbooks look great.i only hope that when all the new movies are released, they get Steelbooks in matching artwork. Also noticed that these don't reference the episode #, likely so you can add the anthology films in the correct order

Time Machine does not display old files: the star wars screen stays stuck

I have been looking for an known report, but can't find it.
In Time Machine, I don't see the 'star wars' panels anymore. It was working when I installed it.
In an activated Timemachine screen, the date slider on the right of the screen does not react. Only the front most screen is seen = "now".
I used to have time machine on an airportextreme; but because of adding a shared USB printer I had to move the external HDD to my own iMac.
Time machine tells the backups are successful.
Did I do something wrong by moving the HDD around?
Did I do something wrong with 'permissions'? [I added myself as a user with read permissions.]
Should I reinstall Timemachine?

Sort of. Time Machine stores backup differently when they're done locally vs. over a network.
Double-click your external HD. It should have a "sparse bundle" including the name of your computer. Those are your network backups.
Double-click the sparse bundle to mount it, then try Time Machine again. If that doesn't work, quit Time Machine and control-click the TM icon in your menubar, or right-click the TM icon in your Dock, and select the +Browse ...+ option. That should show your backups in a small window; select them and click the +Use Selected Disk+ button.
Post back with your results and we'll explain further and see how you want to proceed.

Yes, same problem too; I've already sent an email to apple support and just received a very vague and unpractical response with "call apple support in your country" as main advice. I've obviously emailed back stating that I need a clearer response and I don not have any intention to spend money calling for support when updates is a free tool. I do also believe this is a probem generated on Apple's end, I just wish they learned to say "sorry, it's us; working on it!"

LEGO Star Wars II will not copy to hard drive.

First, it takes forever to open the main menu on the desktop. It sounds like it's spinning up and then stops. Spins us and stops. Seriously, it takes over 10 minutes just to open the dvd menu.
Then after all the wheel spinning and noises from the disk drive, when I'm finally trying to copy the application from the DVD to my Applications folder, I receive this message:
The finder cannot complete the operation because some data in "ActDSBTrench.wgt" could not be read or written. (Error code -36).
This is a brand new iMac Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GHz running with all updates on OS 10.4.11. The DVD is Mac compatible and new out of the box.
I am logged in as admin. I've restarted and same thing. Checked software requirements--I'm good.
Could this be a hardware or software issue? A bad disk?
My kids are standing by. Help!

P.S. An addition to the last post. Yes, my kids were in tears before it was finally loaded. If the cleaning does not work, call the tech support in the back of the Star Wars info booklet. There happened to be a smudge of glue of something from the factory on ours, that once removed, the Cd was fine. But we did not notice it until everything was about to be thrown out the window out of frustration.

Wich Mac mini shall i choose if i want it wont lack when doing normal web browsing... and playing games such as lego star wars not that heavy games but still no lack?

Right now any should work, but to future proof it a bit I'd get the middle one with the Real Graphic card in it, & upgrade to the 2.7 CPU.

New motherboard - backups working but Star Wars not working

A while ago I had to replace the motherboard on my G5. As I still have Leopard, I followed a set of instructions to make sure that the new MAC address was used by Time Machine and that I continued to use the same backup set as if nothing had happened. I think I used dethbunny's instructions here: http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20080128003716101.
It all seemed to work fine. I checked in Finder and the new backups were being added correctly and old ones were being deleted. I left it at that, but should have done some further checking.
I recently discovered (when having to recover a backup for one of my kids) that whilst all the backups are on the Time Machine disk, the Star Wars user interface cannot see them. I can access them through the Finder or Terminal but not directly through Star Wars. All Star Wars shows is the current position of the data disks.
Does anyone know how to get Star Wars to see the backups. It's probably some simple permissions step I've missed.

Sounds like the workaround didn't work (I tried it twice a few years ago, and couldn't get it to work), and the old backups are treated as if they were from a different Mac.
Try the Browse... option, per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #17.
If that doesn't help, it's possible the backups are treated as being on the same Mac, but a different drive. Try the procedure in #E3 of Time Machine - Troubleshooting.

The game will run in 60fps, resolution hasnt been confirmed yet.
There wont be a campaign mode, but you can play smaller objective based missions single player or split screen/online coop
The biggest battle size currently is 40 player (20 vs 20)
Star Wars Heroes are returning with Darth Vader and Boba Fett (bounty hunter) being confirmed so far.

You can take to the skies and engage in sky battles with Tie Fighters and X Wings, but not space battles.
The game is focused on the original trilogy so (new hope, empire strikes back, return of the jedi) that did remind me, hope they have the droids from the prequels i was a beast with droideka.
The weapons seem to have a cooling system in place instead of ammunation, so shoot for a while then let your weapon cool til you can shoot again!
The HUD is minimal showing your weapon/grenades/perk/heavy weapon
They didnt show the different Stormtrooper/rebel classes in the real gameplay demo

Killstreaks earn you powerful weapon upgrades

Walker Assault - A 40 player match where the objective is for the rebels to take out a on rails AT-AT, i assume the stormtroopers have to defend it until it reaches its destination.
