I use Tomcat 4.1 and I have deployed Matadata Navigator on it
I send the followings parameters to the URL http://localhost:8080/oracledimn/startscen.do

  • Simulate multiple request / response with a HTTP URL

I need to communicate with a servlet. In the first request, the user gets authenticated and a connection is created. Now I need to use this connection to send further requests since all requests undergo an authentication check.
However, when I try to implement the same, the second time I write to the output stream of the connection, I get the following exception:
java.net.ProtocolException: Cannot write output after reading input.
Please help! I need to create an application which communicates with this Servlet in the specified way

Now I need to use this connection to send
further requests since all requests undergo an
authentication check. That's not how HTTP works. For each request, you have
to make a new connection. And as for authentication,
it's perfectly feasible for you to do the
authentication for every single request, but (at
least in the case of basic authentication) browsers
tend to send an Authorization header once they have
done the original authentication dialogue. You could
do that too. Also, underneath it all, HTTP 1.1 tries to maintain a socket connection so you don't have that overhead to deal with each time. But as DrClap says, you need to use fresh HTTP instances each time and set the appropriate session/authentication headers.

  • BLS in MII Version 11.5 - HTML Loader with a HTTPS URL ASP Page

    Greetings All,
In my Business Logic, I have a need to scrape some information off of a Https Webpage but my HTML Loader is getting the following error:
[ERROR]: HTMLLoader [https://midstream.epplp.com/standard/login.asp] : sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found
Any idea how I can correct this issue.
I'll eventually have to HTTP Post back to sign in and navigate the site but that also gives the same error...
    Thanks

BLS will need the certificate to exist in the cacerts file of the jdk of the mii server.
which for me is located in
    \Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_14\jre\lib\security
You need to import the certificate using the java keytool.  See
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/tooldocs/solaris/keytool.html
but first you will need to get the certficate.

If I use URLConnection to connect to a servlet with a https url, and supposed I have the required CA public key loaded in my keystore, would that turn on ssl connection?
    Thanks in advance.

after more reading... yes, it will work (Notice that for previous version of JSK1.4.2, the protocol handler should be set correctly), the URL/URLStreamHandler class will do the runtime binding for a specific protocol.

This happens to me too, with Mountain Lion. It appears to be a bug in Preview. If the file starts out as something without transparency, a jpeg or even a png without transparency, Preview doesn't save it with transparency, even though Preview says it is - check the info for the image.
I have just found a workaround which may be useful: Take a screenshot of your image, then use instant alpha on that. It will be saved with transparency - look under info/general  in the info panel.

  • Unexpected start node "Insert" with namespace...

    Hi,
I have a simple Biztalk app which receives an XML and sends to oracle DB using WCF-custom adapter.
I generated schema from Visual Studio, created a map for inbound XSD to generated XSD mapping, deployed the app.
Send port is configured to use the map and there is no orchestration.
I run into following error. The error description is understood, but I am not able to see why it is happening.
The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port "SendPort12" with URL "oracledb://DEVDB/". It will be retransmitted after the retry interval specified for this Send Port. Details:"Microsoft.ServiceModel.Channels.Common.XmlReaderParsingException: Unexpected start node "Insert" with namespace "http://Microsoft.LobServices.OracleDB/2007/03/DEVSCHEMA/Table/SITES" found.
    SOAP Action is :

    <Operation Name="Insert" Action="http://Microsoft.LobServices.OracleDB/2007/03/DEVSCHEMA/Table/SITES/Insert" />
    </BtsActionMapping>
I have checked multiple posts on different sites for this error. I am still not able to figure out what is causing this. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Http URL starts with file://

    Hi.
I need to access the file content which is placed in the local system.
The format of the url is:
    file://<Server Name>/<FolderName>/FileName
    example: file://pwdf1234/sample/abc,jpg
Is there any specific criteria if the url starts with file:// or
Should I configure in Visual administrator if the url starts with file://
Could you please let me know.
    Regards
    Bala

    Hi Raj.
    Thanks for your reply.
No, Im not using Link To URL
It (the url which starts with file://) is a hyperlink.
If you click from webdynpro UI it should navigate to the actual content.
If it is a http url(for ex: http://www.google.com), it works but if it is a url which starts with file://
    does'nt seems to work.

  • How to do Handshake with tired party(bank) HTTPS URL from SAP PI server

    Dear Expert,
I have developed bunch of scenarios, all are synchronous ABAP proxy to HTTP_AAE with bank on PI 7.4(dual stack). Bank web server is HTTPS enabled server. Our ABAP developments are still in progress also we have few issue in connection from ECC to PI.but that is not the focus of discussion here.
we want to do the handshake to check the connectivity with bank on their HTTPS URL from PI. Bank has provided the privet key for SSL from their server and corresponding public key they have maintained on their server. I have imported the private key under NWA -> Certificates -> Key Storage -> TrustedCA->Import Entry->Entry Type->PKCS#12->select the SSL.p12 file->import , also I have selected the option to "Use SSL" in HTTP_AAE receiver communication channel and selected the corresponding entryin  "keystore view" and "keystore entry". All these I have done in our DEV system, and we are trying to connect our PI dev to bank Dev server.
    Questions
Is there any specific steps to do the handshake with third party HTTPS(bank in my case) server? if not, how can we just test the HTTPS connectivity by using the SSL private installed on our PI server, without running the complete scenarios. Our PI has been installed on UNIX, and "telnet https url 443" is working, as network team has opened the HTTPS port.
We have not enabled the SSL technically on our PI server, and we have not installed any generated certificate from our PI server. Moreover, we have not made our PI url as "https:hostname:port" as we just need to communicate with bank by using their private key. Do you guys think we should enable the SSL? if yes, please explain why.
What is the best practice to test the connection with third party having HTTPS URL? how can I just assure HTTPS communication is working fine, before testing my actual scenarios.
    Thanks for helping always.
    Regards,
    Farhan

    Hi Farhan,
Some part of the blog is applicable for sending HTTPS request to partners/third party (Receiver SOAP Adapter).
If banks certificates are already in trustedCA, then,  can you check if it also imported under user PIISuser under Identity management in NWA. If above 2 steps are done then i think your are good to go. But be careful when you install certificate, it should be in proper order.
As you already mentioned, connectivity is already established and you are able to PIng/telnet from pi server, connectivity looks ok.
While sending request, if you are getting 401 unauthorized, below might be the reason -
    1. Certificate not installed correctly or some missing steps
    2. Partner or TP is not ready to receive it, some certificate issue in there side.
other than 401 means you are ok (As per certificate and Connectivity) - 403 and 500 errors are next stops.
403 - error because of encoding method.
    500 - data issue.

Ok - in this case you need to include to session based SSL setup in your flow (scenario).
The pub.security:setKeyAndChain and pub.security:clearKeyAndChain services are used to control which client certificate
the SAP BC server presents to remote servers. You need to use these services to switch between certificates and
certificate chains if you are not using aliases for remote servers.
List of services to be used:
    pub.security:clearKeyAndChain
-- Associates the default key and certificate chain with the subsequent set of invoked services.
    pub.security:setKeyAndChain
-- Processes a digital signature to make sure that the provided data has not been modified. The signature input is the DER encoding of the PKCS#7 SignedData object.
    pub.security.pkcs7:sign
    -- Creates a PKCS7 SignedData object.
    pub.security.pkcs7:verify
-- Processes a digital signature to make sure that the provided data has not been modified.
    pub.security.util:createMessageDigest
-- Generates a message digest for a given message.
    pub.security.util:getCertificateInfo
-- Retrieves information (e.g., serial number, issuer, expiration date) from a digital certificate.
    pub.security.util:loadPKCS7CertChain
-- Converts a certificate chain that is in PKCS7 format to a list (a one-dimensional array) of byte arrays.

  • SOAP receiver channel with https url

    Hi All,
We are working on SAP PO 7.4. We have RFC to SOAP scenario. To connect with external target system we are using https url.
We don't have any sign, encrypt requirement, do we still need to maintain certificates in Key Store as we are using https?
    Thanks
    Shivi

No.you don't have to select that option.
But you have to install the certificates.
    Below one can help you.

  • How to isolate web applications at URL level with Oracle HTTP Server?

We have 2 machines each for oracle web cache, oracle http server and oracle application server (oc4j). We would like to host many web applications on this infrastructure. We have an issue with application/web site isolation for maintenance purposes.
We have several oc4j containers for different web sites/applications but they all use one instance of Oracle Http Server. When we need to make changes to an application/web site or introduce a new web site (URL), we change the OHS configuration and restart OHS on each of the machines.
As we have many URLs hosted on this OHS and plan to host a lot more (may be around 300), we need a way to slice and dice the URLs so that every change or any change should not need to go through a regression cycle or testing cycle for all the applications each weekend (our change window). When we used Apache earlier, we used to be able to create multiple httpd.conf (process level isolation) to cater to different applications.
We could do this with Oracle Http Server too but Oracle will not support us. I appreciate any advice or suggestion with this issue.
    Thank you
    Ramana

    Hi Joey,
A great idea! I recently presented at a local user group meeting about my WebSockets API (see the links in my signature). I've uploaded the presentation and the demo code I gave to our UG here.
I think the barrier to entry is with needing to know the web languages (e.g. html/css/js) as well as writing your LabVIEW code. I have joined the group and look forward to seeing some interesting content on there! Certainly some demos of using AJAX to make requests to Web Services and do something with the data (e.g. display on a graph) would be a good place to start.

  • WSRP Provider reg not working with https url

Our portal is configured with https, listening to a virtual host (https://portalpilot:4443)
In order to consume WSRP / JSR168 java portlets we
    - created a new OC4J container (wsrp_dev)
    - installed the portlet-container ( $MIDTIERHOME/j2ee/wsrp_dev/ java -jar wsrp-install.jar)
    - started the container & deployed the samples
    all OK
but when trying to register the (tested & OK ) url https://portalpilot:4443/portalapp?WSDL
in the Provider Registration we got an error (error in provider url)
changing the url to the non-ssl host (http://gogol:7777) was the (pseudo) solution.
is this behavior by design? we would like to use SSL throughout

    OOS,
Did the info in the release notes solve your problem?
It seems to me that the release notes address a similar but different issue. You want to run under https. The release notes are instructing you to change all references to https to http in the WSDL file. I don't see how this would fix the problem of trying to register a WSRP provider with a WSDL URL that uses https.
The reason I ask is because I am encountering the same problem.
    Thanks.
