Start Condition for CRM Actions

Hi,
we have a requirement to create the follow up document (complaint) in CRM for the Return orders created in ECC system and not for the return orders created in CRM system. We have configured an action for the same and the follow up document is getting created for the Return orders from ECC and CRM also. There is parameter called LOGICAL_SYSTEM in header, using this we can identify the document source system. How can we make use of this LOGICAL_SYSTEM parameter in start condition as this not part of the standard container?
Any helpful answers will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rajinikanth

Hello,
Everything is explained in the following OSS notes:

  • Conditions for triggering actions - times in SLA

    Dear CRM experts,
    I'm configuring actions in SAP CRM 2007 - Service Scenario: in particular, I'm trying to configure actions for triggering of e-mails when SLA deadlines are reached.
    Let's assume that the following are the dates in my service ticket:
    Opening of the ticket --> 10/05/09 - 10:15 A.M.
    First level of escalation --> 10/05/09 - 02:15 P.M.
    To Do By --> 10/05/09 - 06:15 P.M.
    When I write the Starting Condition for the action, I can only compare the Date Types (Opening of the ticket , First level of escalation, To Do By ) with the Local Date of the System...
    The problem is that the condition considers only the DATE(10/05/09), but not the TIME!!
    But in our scenarios, the time is a critical parameter!
    Any idea on how to solve my problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    regards,
    Andrea Ricci

    Dear Andrea,
    I have similar requirement,Where as i have maintained the first respone as date type and in duration i have maintained 15 Min.
    Where as in action condition I have maintained Fisrt response<current date. Notification receipt as Todays date and time.
    Please guid me in details.

  • Custom field in start conditions for workflow WS14000044

    Hi all,
    We have a requirement where a value of a field is coming from the catalog to the shopping cart via the customer fields (provided by SAP). we want to use it as a start condition for the workflow.
    The issue we are facing is that the customer fields are not visible as start conditions for the workflow WS14000044.
    Is there a way we can make them visible?
    We are using SRM 5.0
    Thanks in advance
    Kishan

    Hi ,
    start conditions are specified based on reqhead , i am not very sure wether the customer fields are available there.
    since they are not available there , you can not see them in the start conditions.
    please check wether you can find any notes which deal with implemenation of customer fields in the start conditions.

  • ABAP coding in defining start condition for action.

    Hi Everybody,
    Can anyone tell me if ABAP coding is possible for giving condition for action? If yes, where? Is it in condition editor? I have 3 validations to be done:- 1) Filter service contract (transaction type USC), 2) Filter the active contracts, 3) Filter contracts which doesn't have billing cycle in current month.
    So, do you think these validations can be done in start condition of action? First two validations are static in nature and thus can be done. But, how about the last condition?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Sanj.

    Hi Sanj
    I would do this.
    1. The transaction type cannot be changed, therfore I will set this up in the scheduling condition.
    2. Active contracts. Depends on teh definiton of active. If it is based on some status then I will use scheduling condition.
    3. use one of the dates in the date profile to determine if the billing date is in the current month or not.
    See if this helps.
    Thanks

  • Start condition of an Action (Actions in Transaction)

    Could anyone tell me how to make an action dependent on another action. That is, the second action should be trigerred only when the first action was performed sucessfully.
    thanks in advance
    J

    Hi Ark,
    Two solutions I can suggest :
    1. Use Method Call for first Action definition to send email. While after sending
        email, inside this method you can trigger next action
        Or
        You can also tell from this method to set certain user status (for example
        from user status = Sending Email to user status = Email sent)
        Then use this user status condition in your next Action Definition (if user
        status  = Email Sent)
    2. You enhance the business object, for example business object order
        BUS2000115, you add one attribute to keep value of certain Action Definition
        status (additional Method also will be needed here to search and store that
        Action Definition status to your new attribute).
        Then, you use this new enhance business object in ACTION  Condition - object
        type. You can enhance business object use tcode SW01
    Hope this could help.

  • Starting Conditions for Purchase Order WF

    Hi all,
    We have developed a Workflow (Process-Controlled Workflow) for SRM Purchase Order. The requirement we have is that if the PO is released and then changed, only the WF should start again if the amount is changed. Any other field change in the PO should not trigger WF again.
    There is customizing to define which fields should trigger WF for Shopping Cart, but I don´t found this for Purchase Order:
    PRO-->  SRM server --> sourcing--> Define Fields in Shopping Cart Which Trigger Workflow
    Any suggestions?
    Many thanks,
    Ezequiel

    Hi,
    In your scenario 1, if system is saying that there the PO has to be approved, it means that you have managed the user that will receive the workitem..
    Activating all PO WF is not a solution as in standard there are two many cases activated (amount, role, limit...)
    I propose you to first activate only the 0 step WF and to overwrite the code inside
    Just code that every PO modification should trigger O step WF thus it will be more simple to test it.
    Later on, if you want to implement more complex starting conditions, you just have to modify the WF content...
    Kind regards,
    Yann

  • Setting 'start' mark for 'recording' action inside the timeline

    Not sure how to word this:
    I want to do a simple tilt\pan on a still. I want to use the record button (I've got to do scores of these moves). I want the move to start a few seconds into the clip on the timeline. Is there a way, using the simple record button, that I can set the move to start a few seconds in? Instead of at the head of the clip on the timeline? It would make my life soooo much easier.
    All ears,
    Ben

    Sure. Place the playhead where you want the animation to begin. Turn on the record keyframes button. OPT+click the rotation parameter you want to animate. Move the playhead. Adjust the rotation to the new value.

  • What is Start Condition is Actions

    Hi Gurus
    What is Start Condition in Actions?
    Thanks
    Mahi

    Hi Mahesh,
    An Action is only started when you define a Start Condition for that Action. And also that start condition gets triggered for that Action that Activity will start.
    Below is complete example that will help you to understand this scenarios better.
    You create a transaction, for example, a contract, or a marketing object, for example, a marketing campaign. The processing of actions can be structured in three segments:
    Planning Actions
    Starting Actions
    Monitoring Actions
    Planning Actions
    The system uses the action profile assigned to the transaction type to check which actions are possible for the transaction. If you are working in CRM Marketing, you have assigned an action profile to a marketing object in the Marketing Planner beforehand.
    The system checks if the schedule conditions are fulfilled, and for which actions. The following takes place when the schedule conditions are fulfilled:
    The system enters actions with the indicator Schedule Automatically into the action list in the transaction document or marketing object. They are active.
    You can manually add (schedule) other actions from the profile. They appear in the input help in the action list. They are inactive.
    You can schedule actions with the indicator Display in Toolbar using the application toolbar of the document. They are also inactive. There is further information in processing actions using the application toolbar.
    It is only possible to start scheduled actions.
    Starting Actions
    When the start conditions are fulfilled, or if no start conditions have been defined, the system triggers the action at the processing time defined in Customizing.
    The following possibilities are available for starting:
    starting automatically
    The system triggers the action automatically when the start condition for a scheduled action is fulfilled.
    starting manually via the action list
    You have to have selected the indicator Execute in Dialog in the action definition for this function.
    You start the action from the action list using the symbol Execute Action.
    starting manually via the application toolbar for sales transactions, and via the Object Services toolbar for marketing objects
    You have to have defined the indicator Display in Toolbar and the processing time as Immediate in the action definition for this function.
    You start the action using the Actions pushbutton in the application toolbar for sales transactions and in the Object Services toolbar
    When starting the action the system uses the processing medium (method or Smart Form or workflow) preset in Customizing.
    Monitoring Actions
    On the Actions tab page in the transaction document, you can continually monitor which actions are planned or have already been started and executed. There is further information under action list.
    You can change condition and processing parameters for start conditions in the action list for actions which have been flagged in Customizing as Changeable in Dialog .
    You can monitor and start actions of several transaction documents or marketing objects using the action monitor. There is further information under action monitor.

  • Action with start condition always triggers

    Functionality required: "when its 4 days from the actual date an
    Audit is to take place an e-mail should be triggered to the
    audit attendees"
    I have created a new date rule (4 days before - reminder) and
    added this date rule to the date profile 000000000003.  I am
    using this date profile in my actions and have set a new start
    condition to trigger an e-mail alert when "todays date" = my new
    date rule.  I have set up scheduled conditions which are met.
    when i create transactions which meet both the scheduled and
    start conditions (from my perspective) the action is getting
    triggered to send the e-mail reminder.  My new date rule is as
    follows:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <TimeRule>
       <TimeRuleSource>
          <ruleline>
             <AssignTimeExp displaytype="AssignTime">
                <VarTimeExp displayType="VarTime"
                                   name="RESULT"
                               position='B'>
                  <VarObjectExp displaytype="VarObject"
                                    name="SYSTEM"/>
                </VarTimeExp>
                <MoveTimeExp displaytype="MoveTime" direction="-">
                   <VarTimeExp displayType="VarTime"
                                      name="ORDERACTUAL"
                                      position="B">
                     <VarObjectExp displaytype="VarObject"
                                    name="SYSTEM"/>
                   </VarTimeExp>
                   <ConstDuraExp displaytype="ConstDura"
                                    duration="4" timeunit="DAY">
                      <VarObjectExp displaytype="VarObject"
                                    name="SYSTEM"/>
                   </ConstDuraExp>
                </MoveTimeExp>
             </AssignTimeExp>
          </ruleline>
       </TimeRuleSource>
    When i test it using various dates it seems to work as expected, it returms false when it should fail and true when it should suceed  When tested from within the date rule for the FROM and TO date for todays dates i get the following:
    Deadlines
    Appointment Type RESULT
    From SA 10.02.2007 14:27:52 GMTUK
    From
    Appointment Type ORDERACTUAL
    From WE 14.02.2007 14:27:52
    To WE 14.02.2007 14:27:52
    Duration
    Reference Objects
    SYSTEM GMTUK CL_TIMECALENDAR_SIMPLE
    In my start condition i am testing for my date rule (4 days
    before - reminder) = todays date.
    Can anyone explain why my start condition is always being triggered
    Thanks in advance
    Ed

    Hello Easwar Ram,
    Thanks for your reply.
    No, I didn't create an Action Profile. I use standard profile: /SCWM/TU (Shipping & Receiving - Transportation Unit).
    I only have created a new Action Definition, Schedule and Start Conditions for this Definition. All work correctly with the exception of the button 'Start Condition Parameter'.
    I don't know why the button appears because I didn't define a Condition Parameter for the Start Condition. And when I click on this button I get an error in standard SAP code:
    1) li_bor_object ?= l_context->appl.
    2) ls_bor_handle = li_bor_object->get_bor_object( ip_objtype = l_objtype ).
    L_context->appl has value '' in the debugger. After line 1 the value of the li_bor_object is '' therefore line 2 terminates the transaction with error.
    Maybe this occurs because the Action Profile uses a Persistent Class for Object Type instead of a Business Object Repository?

  • Defining action and condition for Marketing campaign

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement in my project regarding defining condition on the basis of standard fields available in u201CGeneral Datau201D assignment block of campaign.
    I have to define condition for fields like tactics, communication medium, currency. These field are not available as standard while defining condition for an action. There is a way to add these standard field while defining condition.
    Any pointer, how to add required standard fields in define condition.
    Regards,
    Nikhil

    HI Nikhil,
    There are two solution approaches which i can think of:-
    1) Enhance the BOR object for campaign. The object type for Campaing is BUS2010020.
        You might have to take technical help here to enhance this and create a custom object. In that custom object you can bring the standard fields which are not normally appearing while scheduling conditions.
    But the cons. with this appraoch are that it may take some time for this technical development. Also you will have to analyze the impact as this object might be used at multiple places and could be a big impact or small impact.
    2) Create a custom FM where you can define your conditions using the fields which you are not seeing otherwise.
    Call this FM when the start condition of the Action is met and this FM will perform those extra checks which you want and once those checks are met, only then then Action should execute.
    Second approach looks simpler and with less impact. Hope this helps.

    Randhir

  • How to schedule condition in crm 3.0

    Hello,
    we are on CRM 3.0. We need to create a start condition for mail reminder for system date = planned date. This we have to attach to an Activity.
    When we go into action conditions=> edit condition , then we have to specify the expressions as mentioned above. But as in CRM 4.0, we can directly make use of operands, here in CRM 3.0 we do not see any operand in the action conditions!. Then how do we write the above condition?
    pls help.
    points will be granted.
    thanks in advance.
    Regards Sucheta

    You select the part you want to highlight with the mouse(cursor), then you can either press Ctrl+M or click on the button in the top part. You can also write a note on the highlight part.
    Thats the bad part about DE, you can not apropriate edit your book. Thats terrible for study books, where different colors for highlight and underlines would be great. Hey Adobe team, remember that for the next versions.

  • Activating conditions for Purchase Order workflows in EBP

    Dear SRMer's,
    I am facing the following problem:
    System Info :SRM Server 5.5, ECC 6.0
    Scenario 1:
    All start conditions for Purchase Order in SAP Business Workflow are activated.
    I created a direct procurement shopping cart (DP)  in SRM browser and ordered it, then I logged in as proffessional purchaser, changed the Price and processed the DP PO.
    When Ordering, the follow on Documents are created, but says the PO is waiting for approval.  When I check for this PO in the Backend R/3 system in the Me22n (Display PO changes), I don't see the PO.
    Scenario 2:
    All Start conditions for Purchase Order in SAP Business Workflow are de-activated
    I created  another direct procurement shopping cart (DP2)  in SRM browser and ordered it, then I logged in as proffessional purchaser, changed the Price and processed the DP2 PO (Status is held).
    When Ordering, I get the Warning message, no workflow found, contact system administrator.
    Please advice what needs to be configured for the PO to be ordered successfully.

  • Z field in the start conditions of a workflow

    Hi all,
    Is it possible to add a z field in the start conditions of a workflow?
    My requirement is to use a z field created in the shopping cart, in the start conditions for the workflow WS14000044.
    Thanks and regards
    Kishan

    Yes you can undo the delegation at any point of time not to worry. It is just atable entry.
    Go to swo1->Settings->Delegates
    If you want to use a Custom Business object that is a delegate of a Standard Business Bo you can use it. You create a Virtual attribute in your custom Business Object. If you delegate the Custom bo with Standard BO. Whenever you refer to standard Business Object you will have this Custom attribute in your kitty. This will help in start Condition.
