Start new column at group change?

My report is 2 columns.  I used the following steps: Section expert>Details>Format with multiple columns; and then on the Layout Tab i checked Format Groups with Multiple Columns.  Also, under the "Change Group Options" box and the "Options" tab, I have checked "Keep Group Together" and "Repeat Group Header on Each Page."
I need to get a new column to start with a change in Group #1, and I can't figure that out.  There is an option for "New Page After [1] visible group" and that's close, but I need to have *a new column* after one visible group.
My report contains details per US State.  I need to not have one page per state, but one column per state.
Any ideas?

    did u try creating a node for the same? create a value node for the table with 3 value attrbutes, one for each column. then in the init method of that view, just create 3 arrays, setting the value in the first two array. then make use of this code for setting the difference in the thrid column

    Hiya, I am a newbie using BI Publisher in conjunction with APEX. I have a report where I need the header to be repeated for a group over multiple pages. I have searched the forum and seen prior comments about using a 2 row table and such, but where would I put the G Group_Name items in this case?

    Remove 'New Page Before' on the group header and Check 'New Page After' on **Group Footer. Please note on Group footer. Also, on the last group if you do not want to have page break, click on Formula editor button on Group Footer's 'New Page After' where you checked and write formula 'Not OnlastRecord'
    Keep the reset page setting similar but on group footer.

    My Scenario is to add new columns (AUTHORIZATION GROUP and CREATED BY) in CGE2 T-code.
    At the hitlist of the workbench in transaction CGE2 there can be selected several columns(Ex:specification,Desc.specific.type,packing name etc), but we need to add new columns for (AUTHORIZATION GROUP and CREATED BY) for the perticular specifications.
    Please let me know how to make the changes for standard things or any exists or badi's are available..

    Try to check whether there is any enhancement spot available and create a spot.
    Example: sample steps for doing it.
    If you are trying to modify standard program. Ex: RV60AFZZ
    1) Go to SE38
    2) Display program RV60AFZZ
    3) Switch to  Front-End Editor (New)
    4) Click Spiral icon(Shift+F4) on the tool bar
    5) From Menu options EDIT-->Enhancement Operations --> Show implicit enhancement options.
    6) Now on the left hand corner you will see and arrow indicator where you can enhance the code. select the line example for this program Line 39, from menu EDIT--> Enhancement Operations --> create. on pop-up include the new column.

  • Extra empty groupName in TDMS file when using DAQmx Start New File & stop DAQmx while waiting for trigger?

    I wrote a VI that listens to an external trigger coming from a PFI line and saves a user-defined number of pretrigger+posttrigger samples into disk, and then the DAQmx restarts to wait for the next trigger. I used the DAQmx Start New File.vi to change the filename of each of the next file. However, I found that for each of the resulting TDMS files, there is an additional group that is added in addition to the real data. For example, if the groupName is set to "task_voltage", then there is an additional groupName called "task_voltage #1".
    I suspect that this is because the program preallocate diskspace using the old filename for the pretriggered samples, but when the trigger happens and the samples are ready to be written into disk, an actual new file is opened and saved. The reason I think this might be the case is because, say each file would be 50kB and I already have 1 file triggered and saved, before the second trigger comes in, I can see that the file size of the first file is twice as much as it should be (100kB), but the file size will return to noraml (50kB) after the second trigger happens and a second file is created.
    Does anyone know if this is really the case? Is there a way to configure the task so that this doesn't happen?
    Another question I have is that the program currently set up so that the VI will wait until a trigger happens to return the values. However, this means that if a trigger doesn't happen, the VI waits indefintely, and the "stop" button in the while loop is useless. I have to use the "Abort Execustion" button on the tool bar to stop the VI. Is there a way to interrupt and stop the DAQmx task even if the trigger doesn't happen?

    I don't believe there is a way to programmatically change/delete the group name in a TDMS file. What you can do however, is convert between TDMS and TDM using the VIs found in the Data Storage palette and then perform whatever modifications you need using the TDM utilities.

    Hi!
    I want to customize worklist application, add new columns to list which I want to fill in from database (withs SELECTs).
    This is not an easy task... I add the new columns as TaskAttribute (change the Login.java), so the new columns appear in the Preferences as well. Great, I thought, I will use the new columns in searching and filters... but I couldn't.
    I got NullPointerException.:( I can not integrate these new columns in the workist application!
    Please help me, How can I add new columns to task list?

    using custamization we can get this field in CAT2 transaction in the work list. after that SAP provided  two user exits CATS0001 and CATS0010. first is for displaying project number and second one is to display project description in CAT2 transaction.

    That's one of the weird things.. it recognizes it maybe 10% of the time. And usually, only after I do the two-button reset. Problem is.. since it won't charge above 2%, anytime I try to do a restore or anything like that using iTunes, my device shuts off and I lose whatever progress I'd made.
    So, an update... after reading through a bunch of similar complaints (there are literally 1000's of them so there's NO WAY this isn't somehow ios7 related, thanks a lot APPLE ) I decided to try a restore in recovery mode. After 3 hours and several disconnections... I ended up having to just set it up as a new iPad, as the restore did nothing. Weirdly though... as I was doing the restore in recovery mode.. I noticed I'd gotten up to a 10% charge.. higher than it's been since September, so after setting it up as a new device, I turned it off and plugged it in using the wall charger. 2 hours later and I was up to 38%. Still not great, as my iPad, before ios7 could've fully charged twice in the amount of time it took for me to now get 28% more of a charge. And that's with a fully cleaned out device.. so that really ***** and I'm now more confused than ever.
    But I'm gonna leave it overnight charging and see what I come up with tomorrow. Sadly, when I paid $600 for it in February, I never expected to have to play "wait and see" with it...

    I have searched and looked all over the data modeler and I cannot find this option ... yet I did find it easily in Designer.
    I hope you can help me.
    SQL Developer Data Modeler v3.0.0.665.
    I have added a new column to a table and when I generate the DDL I would like it to be an alter table add column rather than a create table.
    This feature is in Designer so I would think it would be in data modeler.
    Just incase my description is not clear here are the high level steps so it is clear.
    1. create the logical model
    2. create the relational from the logical.
    3. create the physical from the relational.
    4. generate DDL and run in database. At this point I go to production with my system and all is well.
    5. At this point we have an enhancement request. For the model it will be a new column in a table.
    6. update logical model.
    7. update relational from logical
    8. update physical from relational
    9. generate DDL. Here I would like to have the generate be aware the it needs only to generate an alter table add column and not create the table.
    This is something I do alot as all my models are in production. I cannot find how to do this step of getting data modeler to generate the alter.
    Designer does this exceptionally well.
    Quite often it is more than a single column. The changes can be many and made over time and at the time of generating the DDL you may not recall every single change you made. To have the tool discover those changes for you and generate the appropriate DDL is a feature I regard as very high.

    Hi Chris,
    you need to compare your model against database - import from database into same relational model and use "swap target" option - in this case "alter statements" against database will be generated.

    Soon or later your changes will require table to be recreated and you'll need to backup your data - you can consider usage of "Advanced DDL" option - script will be generated that will unload the content of your table (including LOBs) to file system accessible from database and restore it after changes. Well don't try it directly on production system :).

    Using CS4, there are a few ways to do it:
    1.  when creating a new document - you can select the doc type preference.
    2.  In your preferences, you can set up which document type will be opened when you select a new document.

    I have a working Portal Form Component that is associated with a
    particular database table. If for some reason a table column
    name is changed, is there a way to modify the Item in the Form to
    use the new column name?

    I can not guarantee that this will work. But try this:
    1) Create a copy of the form (for backup).
    2) Now edit the original form.
    3) Delete the Item(Database Column Item) that has been renamed.
    4) Now add an item with the same name as that of your new
    database column.
    Pls tell if it worked or not.

  • Calendar View: Unable filter Recurring Event by Start/End Time and Group by Recurring Event View

    I have just found several issues with Calendar View from WSS 3.0:
    Unable to filter by [Start Time] and [End Time]
    I am not sure why these 2 columns doesn't appear in the Filtering column in the View Settings. The workaround found in the internet is to create calculated column for Start Time and and End Time. However, it doesn't work for Recurring Event, the calculated column will show only first recurring event Start Time.
    Unable to use "Group By"
    When I create new view in Calendar using format: "Standard View, with Expanding Recurring Events", there is no option to specify "Group By". Anyone knows how to show all recurring event in List view and grouped by Start Time (or any other column).

    I got this from a colleague of mine so I can't take credit for it but here might be a possible workaround:
    1. Create two new Columns called Start Filter and End Filter.  Make these columns Calculated Columns with formulas of [Start Time] and [End Time] respectively.  The columns should be of the Date and Time\Date and Time type and should not be displayed on the Default View.
    2. Click Advanced Settings and choose Yes to the question "Allow management of Content Types" in the Content Types section.  Click OK.
    3. Click on the Event Content Type.  Open the two columns created in step 1 and select "hidden" for both of them.  Click OK.
    4. Back at the list settings create a new view or edit an existing view.  When you get to the filter section choose "Show items only when the following is true" and select the following:
    Start Filter
    is less than or equal to
    [Today]
    And
    End Filter
    is greater than or equal to
    [Today]
    5. Click OK to save the view.
    6. Open the List view web part that is displaying the recently changed calendar and change the view to the newly created or newly edited view.  Click Apply, OK.
