Start timer after completion of powerpoint presentation

Question

hi..
im fresher..im developin an exam app..in which im displaying question with TIMER after displaying powerpoint presentation.but in my app,both powerpoint and Timer are executing simultaneously.wat i need is after powepoint presentation,timer should start,but here timer is starting along with the powerpoint.i think we need to use threads, but i donno how to reach
can anyone help me in this...
