Start wls using shortcut in a dos window

Hi,
I created a shortcut to startManagedWeblogic on desktop, when I need to start
wls, just click it. But whenever I stop the server, the window is gone, I would
like to let the window stay after the server stops, because sometime the wls crashed,
window is gone, nothing is in log file.
how can I modify the batch file to let the window stay? Thanks

You might try looking at launching the startManagedWeblogic script using the
windows "start" shell command. So you might create a new batch file with
this command in it
start %WEBLOGIC_HOME%\startManagedWeblogic.cmd
then launch that script via a shortcut

How can I read ALL the compilation errors in a DOS window?

On compilation using a DOS window, if the number of errors exceeds the window size, some of the errors disappear off the top of the window and I cannot read them.
Is there an effective solution to somehow use scrolling of the DOS window or transfer the compilation errors to a file?

Hi ollie lord and thank you for your suggestion.
I tried to use a *.bat file instead but the result was the same. I tried to use the word "start" in the command but nothing more.
My .bat file is simple:
start myprogram or myprogram
...where myprogram.exe is a win32 console application from Visual C++.
Is there any option in function Main() in C++ to remove the dos console ?
I head about the JNI tech. Is it a solution ?

The Dos window disappeared quickly after Tomcat 3.1 started

Hello,
I need to see the debug statements of my web app.But the start window of Tomcat 4.1 disappeared quickly after it's launch.The Tomcat just work ok.I don't
have a Java Web Services Developers Pack in my computer.The Tomcat is stand alone.
Even Tomcat 4.0 in JBuilder7.0 of my machine got the same problem.

I'm not entirely sure how Tomcat 4 standalone handles this but there are several other options you could try.
You could attempt to run tomcat from the command line rather than from a BAT file, ie. startup a DOS window and type 'startup' and press enter (you will be able to do this from anywhere if you have the 'bin' directory of your Tomcat installation in your PATH environment variable, otherwise you will have to navigate to this directory to run it).
If this doesn't work, search for a file in your Tomcat installation directory called 'catalina.out'. It may be under a 'logs' directory. If you can find this then you may find that this is where your std output is. If you are using an editor such as Textpad, it will prompt you to reload itself whenever the file has changed and you are trying to view it so it's not too much trouble.

That is the Java Quick Starter, a couple of options for you:
# Open the add-ons manager (in the Tools menu select Add-ons)
# In the list of Extensions, click on Java Quick Starter to select it, then click on Disable
When you re-start Firefox that should stop the error.
The second option is to re-install Java. You are using an old version of Java so it is recommended that you install the latest version, available from http://java.com/

DOS windows on 2000 using version 6.1

I've just installed the 6.1 version of the webserver on my PC. I previously had 4.1 and 6.0.
When I start up the new version, I receive 2 DOS windows that display the administrator's log file and the webserver's error log. When I close either of these, the servers go down.
How do I hide these in the background so I don't have to mess with them? I didn't have this problem with either of the other 2 webservers. They are quite annoying.

Yes, it is quite annoying.
Use the Process Manager (I think that's what it's called in Windows) to select the server instance(s), and uncheck the "Interract with desktop" option.
Note: I'm not a Windows user - the names of these specific windows and options may need to be adjusted to reflect that actual UI, etc etc.

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Next, plug the Apple TV into your computer with a micro-usb cable (most phones today use these) and start up Itunes. It should detect the Apple TV in recovery.
After that, hold down Option on Apple or Alt on Windows and click Restore. This should open a window that allows you to select the software update you want to apply. Select the one you downloaded earlier.
It will then go through the restore process, which takes only a few minutes, and then you will be able to plug the Apple TV back in to your display and set it up again.
I recently ran into a similar issue with a bunch of these things and after restoring them all to the previous software version they are working again.

The best way to do what you're asking is with the Composition widget. Start with the Tooltip preset, which, by default shows the info on rollover. You can change the option to show on click, which is what you're after. You can also add the close button or have the info disappear on rollout.

You can only use apps from iTunes on iPhone devices.
If you want apps for Android devices then you'll need to download the app on the Google Play Store on your Android devices.
If you don't have the Google Play Store you could dowload if from Google.
Windows 8 also has there own App Store.

Technically it is the Grave Accent ` (aka reverse quote) under the tilda ~ key. Tilda ~ is shifted, and Grave Accent ` is not.

Starting an XI (NW 7.0 on Windows) using startsap.exe

Hi out there,
we have an XI 7.0 on a windows machine. Everytime the server has been restarted, the sap services are started automatically. But the XI itself has to be started manually using the SAP MMC. Of course we'd like the XI to be started automatically, too.
So I did some tests with startsap.exe. When I execute "startsap name=<SID> nr=00 SAPDIAHOST=<hostname>", only instance 00 is started. And when executing "startsap name=<SID> nr=01 SAPDIAHOST=<hostname>", only instance 01 is started.
But none of them automatically starts the other instance. Maybe there is something wrong or missing in the default / startup or instance profile(s)?!?
I'm afraid that's a rather simple question and everybody out there knows but me...

Hi, Juergen.
If you can start the 2 instances independently, then I suggest you build your own batch file and make sure this is run when your OS starts. (You can google to find out how this is exactly done.)
In your batch file, you will first start the database. There are different commands to run to start the database depending on the RDBMS used. Next you will start the Central Services instance, and then the Central instance using the 2 startsap commands.

Problem Starting WLS 5.1 from windows 2000 program group

Hi
I couldn't able to start Weblogic server 5.1 from windows 2000 program
group(start > Programs > Weblogic 5.10 > Weblogic Server). I can start WLS
without any problem from the console . I've check every configuration and
environment setting, the problem still come out. Whenever I start WLS from
program group , a window dialog with error messages will come out , here's
the error messages :
wlserver.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x04d5d0d6" referenced memory at
"0x00000000". The memory could not be "written".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program
Any suggestions/solution will be appreciated .

look for weblogic.system.password property in your weblogic.properties
file and see what's in there.
