I just need to know if it's possible to start IE at a specified http address, just by clicking a text constant on a VI. (like a Word's text, which is linked to an Internet site).

Yes, this is possible.
In LabVIEW's help directory there is a library called _browser.llb that contain a vi called "Open URL in Browser". This vi will launch the specified URL in your default web browser.

Usually the browser will take the user to info pages when a click on blue text is done. My browser just opens a blank page and has "search history and bookmarks and then just sits there. InDesign (CS5) beachballs when clicking into a text frame

Hi,
I'm working on a document that causes a weird problem: when I click into a text frame, sometimes this causes InDesign to beachball for a few seconds. Activity monitor shows that InDesign takes 100% CPU time - no other activity involved. After a few seconds, everything works smoothly again.
This does not happen every single time I click into a text frame. It happens especially after inserting sth from a library, or from another document (say, 7 out of 10 times). But it may also happen when copying (Cmd-C, Cmd-V or Alt-drag) a simple text frame within the same page.
I gets more weird: This only seems to happen in two of my documents (and copys thereof). There isn't anything special about these documents. They contain a lot of tables and anchored objects, but that's true for a lot of other documents, too. I tried copying a table from document A (no problems) to document B (the one with problems). Clicking into this table causes a beachball. Coping the very same table within document A is fine. Even copying the table back from document B does not cause any problems. It seems like the effect is document-exclusive. I just don't know what makes it so darn exlusive .
This problem occurs on different machines (all Macs, all 10.6, all CS5). The faster the machine, the shorter the beachball time. But even on an 8-core-iMac it easily takes up to 2 secs. Which is annoying, to say the least.
Any ideas?

Hmm, what version of 10.6 is this? I thought, as of 10.6.8, Sample Process always included the Binary Images section at the end. Unfortunately, because basically every one of the 250-odd plugins in InDesign has a GetPlugin() symbol, it's tough to know exactly what is going on there...

Well, I made some attempt to filter out the weeds. A substantial amount of time is spent in the regular expression library. Do you have GREP styles? They may be part of the problem.
If we can resolve this without needing to know which GetPlugIn() are which, that would be helpful. Otherwise you'll need to [maybe?] upgrade to 10.6.8; force a crash (View > Send Signal > Abort (SIGABRT)) in Activity Monitor, which may not be easy to do usefully, since if the crash happens during one of the unremarkable parts of the beachball, it won't tell us anything; break out fancier less user-friendly tools like Instruments.app or gdb.
I don't suppose you're familiar with any of those tools?
So, I would try removing all your non-system fonts and seeing if that changes the behavior. Or tightening up GREP styles...
Or pulling out the heavy guns.

Crashing when I click the Text tool button

There's a conflict somewhere. I would start by deleting the Preferences file for this copy of Flash and
then re-install Flash.

When I start Firefox by clicking on a link in e-mail or another document, Firefox starts downloading an update, even though I already have 4.0.1 up to date.

When Firefox is not started and I click on a link in an e-mail document, as it starts up, Firefox acts like I need an update and starts downloading an update. After "updating" several times, I verified that I have 4.0.1 and it is up to date, but this continues to happen every time Firefox starts up as the default browser.

Is there a way to annotate a PDF by adding a text box any where on the screen rather than having to click on the text box Icon each time? It was like this before I downloaded Yosemite.

I use the Preview app to annotate my notes for class. It use to be where I could add text where ever I wanted on the screen just by double clicking. Now since I downloaded Yosemite I have to click on the text box icon at the top each time and it adds the text box in the middle and I have to move it to where I want it. This is very inconvenient for class. Any suggestions on how to get the old preview back or fix this problem?

How to fix forgetting previously opened tabs when starting Firefox by clicking on a link in an external application?

Hello, I have the option Startup: "Show my windows and tabs from last time" enabled. Works fine, except when Firefox starts when I click a link in an external application (typically Thunderbird). Then, the new link gets opened in a new tab, Firefox remembers the number of tabs I had opened when I last closed it, but all the "old" tabs are blank. Can I somehow fix this behavior?
Disabling add-ons does not help. Clicking on a link in an external application when Firefox is already opened works OK. I have been using Firefox for quite a short time now (probably half a year) and this problem was always there (i.e. it is not due to a new update).

If Firefox is closed and an external link opens Firefox, you need to go to History > Recently Closed Tabs and open those tabs before closing Firefox. If you don't the "previous session" will be gone and only the one page that the external program opened will be the new "previous session".
If that isn't satisfactory, you'll need to install a "session manager" type extension to remember more than "the last session" only.

I have already made these changes, but I was still having sign differences.
So what I have done now is go to preferences signs and for each account sign I have removed the option "use always my default font" and I have changed all signs font to the same of plain text.

I could not start PSE 10 clicking on the icons so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I started up once and then won't start again.

I received my copy of PSE10 this week, and have the same problem. My OS is Windows 7, 64bit Ultimate. I have tried all tips in the threads I found here, including what Ken wrote above, and uninstalling/re-installing, and nothing works.
Even if I go directly to the file PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe most of the time nothing visible happens at all. Not even any error messages. Sometimes I can open it once or twice, then I must I restart the computer.
Whenever the program refuses to open/start I have to "Control-Alt-Delete" to kill the Elements processes that won't close by themselves.
PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe I haven't been able to open even once.

I found the culprit to be Babylon as well. Instead of removing Babylon, I changed the key combination to something funky like CMDOPT+SHIFTMOUSE click to call up the translator. After doing so, the Keynote right-click error went away.
