Starting this afternoon, my firefox browser will not show the address that i am on, nor will the backspace button appear, nor does the new history show up. So, i went from 9.0.1 to 10.0 an hour ago. Same problem. Anyone else?

The whole look of FF was different when this started and after upgrading to 10.0. The tabs don't show up and I have to manually get a new tab.

That file might have moved to a different location on the server. I think you'll need to check with RefWorks support or your local IT department on why the install page links do not work.

App.activeDocument.name not giving the new name entered in save as option from the script

When I open a document and use save as option and enter a new name. The app.activeDocument.name object is still giving me the old file name, it not giving the new file name that was entered in the save as option. However this issue is comming when I open a document and use the save as option for the first time. From then on for any number of times I use the save as option it gives me the new name.

In my case I am calling the script from my AI plugin(this is developed in c++) . My plugin will be called when ever there is a event, suppose I do ctrl+shift+s ( i,e File > Save as from Illustrator) , then my plugin will call the script.
Script that I am using:

I like the feature of the PDF being opened on the new tab on firefox browser windows. But the newer version (3.6 or 4.0) will automatically open PDF in a pop up adobe apps. How do I keep the PDF open on the new tab as before? thank you

Running FF 8.0 on Windows 7 (64-bit)

Upgraded Firefox and do not see the new style menu nor can I pin a tab as an app tab. I am using Windows XP Sp3. Is this expected because those are Win 7 features?

Ever since I upgraded to FireFox 4 which was supposed to have the new grouped menus I do not see them on my Win XP machine. They show up fine on a Win 7 laptop but my Win XP still shows the standard Menu bar. I also can not pin a tab as an App tab on the XP while I can on the Win 7. Is that to be expected?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar). 
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily. 
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden.

How do I import old history from places.sqlite to new edtion Firefox and do I loose the new history?

I have a new PC and want to import my 'favorite website info', in the dutch version called 'Bladwijzers', into the new version of Firefox on my new PC. Do I copy the old places.sqlite to the uohyzr7h.default directory to replace the existing? Or is there another option so I also can keep the new info. The new version of places.sqlite is about 3 times larger (with almost no hystory in it) then the old version. Is that a problem if I replece the new with the old version.

Firefox 5 uses a default file size of 10 MB for places.sqlite and increments that in 10 MB chunks when needed, so that probably explains the increase in size.
If you replace places.sqlite then you lose the current bookmarks and history.
If you need to preserve bookmarks then export them to an HTML file.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions. please remove all program rules for firefox from your firewall and let it detect the new version of the browser again.

Firefox can't renew it's last tabs and now won't run and let me do a backup

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

I am using a hotmail acount with bigpond. The time that it says I sent an email is out by 11 hours... can you please tell me how to set my firefox browser to be at the right time? My mac is set at the right time zone...

I was able to do what you suggested, and the time listed in the code field was correct. However, when I sent a test email to myself on the bigpond site, it said it was received at 8:04am when it was actually 18:04. So there is an error of more than half a day. Thank you for your suggestions. I downloaded a more recent version of Twain, but this didn't help. I also tried closing and opening Photo Shop and restarting my computer without success. Reinstalling Photo Shop sounds like a very promising solution, but I'm not sure I will do it. In the meantime I can scan items using a printer program. These scans open in Photo Shop. It is an extra step.
