Startup error in Java Web Tomcat 7 Container in PersistenceDataSourceFactory

Hi,
I tried to deploy a webapp in the Java Web Tomcat 7 container in my trial account. In my web.xml I have the following resource-ref:
<resource-ref>
     <res-ref-name>jdbc/ccocs</res-ref-name>
     <res-type>javax.sql.DataSource</res-type>
</resource-ref>
When I start the container, I get the following error in the log: #+00#ERROR#com.sap.cloud.runtime.kotyo.persistence.client.PersistenceDataSourceFactory##anonymous#localhost-startStop-1##dXXXXXXtrial#cs2#web##An exception occurred during rest communication with local config service: java.io.FileNotFoundException: http://localhost:20002/config/v1/services/persistence/jdbc/ccocs
What could be the reason for that error?
Regards
Marco

Sorry my fault. After some try and error I realised I named the DataSource in the binding "ccocs", but it has to be "jdbc/ccocs".

  • Add runtime environment for Java Web Tomcat 7: JRE

    When adding the Runtime Enviroment for SAP Java Web Tomcat 7 there is an input field JRE.
    In the documentation https://help.hana.ondemand.com/help/frameset.htm?7613f000711e1014839a8273b0e91070.html this field is not mentioned.
    I may choose
    - Workbench default JRE
    - sapjvm_7
    Which is to be used when Getting Started with SAP HANA Cloud, please?
    By the way: there is another Eclipse-Installation with ABAP in Eclipse at the same computer.

    You can choose either one. It's even very likely that Workbench default JRE is the same as sapjvm_7. If you click on Installed JREs... next to it, you can see all JREs and which is the default one.

    Hi,
    you can't get a file like in a "normal" app
    because a JWS-app runs in the restricted
    sandbox environment by default.
    So you either sign your app with a digital certificate
    or you use a special FileOpenService (JNLP-API).
    You could also put the file into the app-jar and
    load it by a classloader.

  • An error on Java Web Start 1.4.2 Developer Guide

    I tried to deploy my application using Java Web Start. I used the script in the section "Creating the Web Page That Launches the Application" of the Java Web Start 1.4.2 Developer Guide (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/jws/developersguide/contents.html). Nevertheless, it does not detect my JWS 1.4.2 installation. After I search thru the registry on my Windows 2000, I found that the COM object ID is not correct. The orginal VBScript to detect the installation of JWS 1.4.2:
    If Not(IsObject(CreateObject("JavaWebStart.isInstalled.3"))) Then
    javaws142Installed = 0
    Else
    javaws142Installed = 1
    End If
    should be:
    If Not(IsObject(CreateObject("JavaWebStart.isInstalled.1.4.2.0"))) Then
    javaws142Installed = 0
    Else
    javaws142Installed = 1
    End If
    Could JWS tech support or documentation team change this error on the website soon so other developers will not run into the same problem again?
    Thanks,
    A.A.

    I believe this is the only way to guarantee Sun will track this.

    I did checked the names again and I found that the makeJar.bat had an "issue".
    It missed the del *.jar and I had 2 uppercase letters like ConvertorValutar, instead of convertorvalutar.jar.
    After that I rebuild the war and deployed and it works :)

  • Generation Error - when trying to publish a Java web service

    Hi All,
    I keep getting the following Generation Error -- java.util.NoSuchElementException_ when I'm trying to create a Java Web Service using the jdeveloper wizard.
    I have 2 entities and 2 stateless session beans acting as their facades. One entity has a One-One(FK) relationship with the other entity. I test out the entities and session beans using the test client and the OC4J embedded container and everything seems to work. When I try to generate a Java WebService from one of the entities I keep getting the "Generation Error". Could someone please provide me with some insight into why I'm facing this problem, because it seemed fine when I published J2EE web services previously and now this happens and I cant seem to publish web services anymore. Everytime I keep getting the same GenerationError. Thanks in advance.

    Without going into any technical discussion about the code, my first question is what JDK version was used to create this which was imported into the form? Understand that Forms 10 runs on JDK 1.4.2, so if you used any newer JDK version, likely there will be problems.

  • Java Web Service/Eclipse/Tomcat v5.5/Axis v1.4

    I am developing a Java web service in Eclipse for deployment on Tomcat v5.5 and Axis v1.4 .
    When I run a web service client I've developed to test the web service I get the following error:

    java.lang.Exception: The OperationDesc for IPublishEvent was not synchronized to a method of edu.monmouth.rri.ahett.pubwebservice.PublisherWebService.
    I have looked on the Apache Axis web site and while there are posts related to this problem they appear to be 1) old and 2) unanswered (or at least I can't find the answer).
    I can provide any of the following, if needed, to help diagnose this problem: 1) the Java source code for my class, 2) the WSDL file created when generating the web service in Eclipse, and 3) the deploy.wsdd XML generated.
    Thanks

    Hello,

  • Deploying Tomcat via Java Web Starr?

    Hello,
    I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to deploy a servlet container such as Tomcat to a remote computer via Java Web Start. Here is the problem. I have a need to deploy Apache Tomcat along with a web application inside it to remote computers. The users of the computers are not very tech-savvy so installing Tomcat and deploying a web application inside it is too hard for them. So I'm wondering if this is doable via Java Web Start. If you have an alternative suggestion I appreciate that too. Please advice.
    Thanks,
    Mete

    Hello Dietz,
    Those are great ideas. So basically you are saying that it is possible to jar up the whole tomcat distribution in one jar file and unzip it on the client computer? For my project, all I need to be able to do is just enabling the user to double click on the Web Start desktop link and automatically start Tomcat (I'm hoping that I could launch it as a small window that hides in the corner of the desktop rather than the ugly black DOS prompt) and bring up an Internet Explorer window with the URL pointing to http://localhost:8080. And then they would shut down Tomcat by clicking the "X" close button on the little window that comes up. We need to do this in order to enable a web-based application to be used on a client computer without having to connect to the internet. We figured that the users of this application would like to be able to use the application on their laptops where they don't have internet connection.
    I would really appreciate it if you could let me know how your efforts of getting Tomcat to run via Web Start went.
    Thanks much,
    Mete

  • Serialization error while invoking a Java web service

    Hi,
    I've a requirement where I need to create a Java web service, which returns a collection (a set of records).
    The way I've created a web service is by having a Java Class, which internally calls a Pl/sql package returning Ref cursors and a bean Class, which wraps the method of the Java Class, to return the collection. I could create the web service successfully and could invoke the end point. The end point looks like this: http://localhost:8988/MyJavaWebService-New_JWS-context-root/MyWebService_finalSoapHttpPort
    The method exposed for the web service in my Java class is of type ArrayList, to fetch the collection element.
    After giving the input at the end point, while I say invoke, for the web service, I get the following error:
    <env:Envelope
    xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xmlns:ns0="http://mypkg/types/"
    xmlns:ns1="http://www.oracle.com/webservices/internal/literal">
    <env:Body>
    <env:Fault>
    <faultcode>env:Server</faultcode>
    <faultstring>Internal Server Error (serialization error: no serializer is registered for (class mypkg.EmpBean, null))</faultstring>
    </env:Fault>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    I've tried making my exposed method of type Vector as well and re-generated the web service. But still I face the same issue at invocation.
    Can anybody help me out and hint me on how I should proceed? I'm not sure if my approach is correct and so please correct me if I'm wrong.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Gayathri

I have 64-bit java 1.7.0_45 JDK/JRE installed and no other version. I tried installing 32-bit 1.7.0_45 as well. I have tried to run it from 32-bit as well as 64-bit browser also.
