Static JNLP vs Dynamic one generated via PHP

I have an issue with our application not updating when we make changes to our JNLP file that is dynamically generated using PHP. We use a versioned file using the "<property name="jnlp.versionEnabled" value="true">" in our JNLP file.
I have tested using a static JNLP file and making the same change to the version and it updates on the client machine. I have verified, using Wireshark, that the HTTP response (headers) are the same between the static and dynamic get requests. And that the returned JNLP file is in fact updated with the new version it just seems like Webstart is ignoring the new version and just starting the cached application when using the dynamic JNLP file.
Note: I am testing this with early access 7u2 because that version fixes the following bug: [Bug ID: 7063209|http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=7063209]
Is there something in Webstart that is ignoring the update due to it being dynamically generated?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Well it seems that I did not have the "-" in the "Last-Modfied" header when the PHP script was setting it.
That fixed the issue.
Thanks,
Mike

  • In RoboHelp 11 Responsive HTML5, is it possible to have 2 different language outputs in one generated output file?

In RoboHelp 11 Responsive HTML5, is it possible to have 2 different language outputs in one generated output file, similar to WebHelp where the use can select the language from a drop-down list? In Webhelp output you could create multiple Content categories. Is there something similar with the responsive output, or am I forced to have a completely separate set of output files for each language (for example, English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic)?

As Rick, mentions, there's no default way.
Having said that, there's nothing stopping you from doing it yourself. You can add a kind of language selector to the layout and set that for every html5 output. With some JavaScript, you can have the user switch between your outputs. It would look like content categories, but you'll have build it yourself.

    Hi,
In SAP IIMG the order types of the procurement proposal through MRP run are configured.
    Please study the following configuration:
IMG >> MRP >> Procurement Proposals >> Deifne order Profile
    Object type     2 Purchase requisition
    Order profile   UL
Order type           NB   Standard purchase order

    Hello
It means what it sais, your J2EE_ADMIN user doesn't have enough authorization.
Chech if the appropriate authorization is assigned in your abap stack which belongs to the java stack you logon to:
Role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN should be assigned to user J2EE_ADMIN.
    Kind regards

  • Generate sample PHP service from db could not set primary key

    Hi,
        Some information about my system:
    OS :Windows 7 64 bit
Computer type: HP Pavilion dv6-3013cl laptop
    Eclipse 3.5+Flash Builder 4 plugin
    DB: MySQL 5.0 local server
    Web Server: Apache 2.2+PHP 5.2.14
Zend Frame work 1.10.1 (installed by Flash Builder)
I am trying to configure a PHP service in the Connect to Data/Service wizard. I clicked "click here to generate a sample" to generate a Sample PHP service. I selected Generate from database radio button and entered the db connection information in all fields. I am able to connect to my local database and select the table I want to create the service. But after I selected the primary key from the dropdown, the Ok button is still disabled and a warning note at the bottom of the screen still prompt for selecting the table's primary key. At this point, the log in eclipse metadata folder in the workspace has the following error:

I figured this explains why the OK button is not enabled. I could trick the screen by clicking the Generate from template radio button and back to clicking the Generate from database button which will enable the OK button. I clicked OK, and a Security Information warning about ricks of generating the service php file popped up asking if I want to continue. I clicked OK and back to the generate sample PHP service screen. After this, the process entered an endless Ok-warning-OK-warning-OK loop and could never proceed to actually generating the service file. In the Eclipse log file, I see more Unhandled event loop exception:

I was able to do this on my old windows xp (Media Center OS) laptop. I wonder if this problem has anything to do with the Windows 7's system permission security feature. I 've stuck for 2 days now. Can someone help?! Thanks so much!

    Thanks for reporting the bug.
I have filed another bug on, FB not validating PHP installation before generating sample https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-27522 .

  • Static vs. Dynamic Forms

I thought that I understood static vs dynamic forms, but what I'm seeing has me stumped.  Here's the issue:
I have a form that requires multiple instances of a subform, based on repeating nodes in XML data.  Inside each subform instance there are data fields, but I can't bind them directly to the XML because the values require some calculation based on the data passed in.  So, I have a javascript loop in the containing subform that creates a new instance of the repeating subform and sets the rawValues of the underlying data fields.  The javascript is in the Initialize event.  I'm passing the .xdp into Output for rendering.  The script is set to run on the Server.
The issue is that when I look at the resulting PDF file in Reader, I do have the correct number of subform instances displayed.  However the data fields reflect the data from the first instance, so that I might have five sections that all look the same and the data is correct for the first section.  The form will render fine in the Designer preview if I set the form preview type to Dynamic, but the behavior will replicate the Output behavior if I set the preview to Static.
What I understood is that having a static form will mean that the form will not *re-render* in Reader, but the initial form rendering in Output should create the subforms correctly.  I am getting multiple instances, they just don't reflect the correct data values.

Paul, thanks for your help.  I've figured out the problem, although perhaps you can tell me what the underlying issue is.  In the repeating subform the text areas that I was setting were defined as Text objects.  Redefining them as TextField objects has fixed the problem.  Any idea why setting the raw value of a TextField is different than a Text object?  I originally didn't need to use a text field because these are non fill-in text areas on the form.  Once again, this was only an issue if the form output was set to static rather than dynamic.

  • How to apply row restrictions to universes generated via Universe builder

I have a universe generated via Universe Builder. The source is SAP BW.
Now I want to apply row restrictions using some external security tables available inside another schema of my datawarehose. Restrictions should be like:
    0 < (select count(*) from SECURITY_TABLE x   where x.name = @Variable('BOUSER')   )
How I can do it ? How I can reference this external security table ?
    Thanks

    Umberto,
Row level securtity does not seem to be avaible in Designer when using a SAP BW source.
For the SAP BW related sources you would need to set the connection to use SSO and within BW apply authorisations on the objects/dimesions restricting users i.e implementing row level restrictions and use this object in universe and report so that the authorisations are honored in SAP BW.

  • Accessing a JD Edwards database via PHP

    Hi,
Would anyone be able to tell me if it is possible to access a JD Edwards installation via PHP? Our web interface requires JD Edwards integration. If this is possible, where would I find documentation about this?
    Thanks,
    Geoff

We used IBM DB2Connect software which allows you to use AS400/iSeries native commands. The web developer handled the setup on the application server so I don't have any details on the setup, but your IBM representative should be able to help you or get you in touch with someone who can help you.

  • Refreshing query data for Dynamic Page Generator

Can anyone tell me why I must exit out of XMII and re-login in order to have any updates saved in either a Data Query or Display Query show up when I use the Dynamic Page Generator.
I attended the Xmii beginner level training.  In the training, I could hold the Ctrl key and click the Refresh button on my browser to update the templates.
    Thanks
    Mike

    Mike,
The reason for this was that the machines that were used in training had Java SDK 1.5 installed if you are using 1.4 you cannot hold down the ctrl key to refresh the cache you must go into Tools -> Sun Java Console -> click the "X" key and that will clear the cache.
