hi,
the statistical setup will setup all PO-related extractors (2LIS_02_*) - so you only need one setup. =)
at this point all you need to do is to replicate the datasource in your BW system, create and activate (or transport) transfer rules, assign update rules for this infosource in whichever infoproviders, create an infopackage, and load away. =)

Rmceneua - statistical setup of info structures from purchasing documents
Hi all,
I run the program rmceneua for a specific purchasing document number. The line on this PO has been selected for deletion. LOEKZ = 'L'. When S011 and S012 are populated, will this line be taken into consideration when calculating the effective order value, etc.
I am new to SAP, so any help will be welcome.
Thank you in advance,

Statistical Setup failure - Purchasing application
We upgraded our R/3 Plug-In from 2002.1 to PI 2004.1. To test the setup and init process,we ran the statistical setup run for 02 application. The setup program is successful but the documents are not posted into the MC02....SETUP tables. Checked the NPRT transaction to check the log entries, it displays that 252,000 documents are selected. Checked the extraction using RSA3 as well, it returns 0 records. Are there any specific entries that needs to be checked or entered for PI 2004.1 upgrade with reference to Purchasing application? or should I check any table lock stuff with reference to MC02...SETUP tables?
MS,
sorry for being so insistent, but for an analysis it is really important to check, if the statistical setup run actually created any data in the setup table.
If there are no records in the setup table, then the RSA3 can not show any records.
Best regards,

Linking document info record and purchase order
Hi all,
I hope that someone can help me because I'm having a problem with creating links between document info records and purchase orders.
By default in SAP I can create links between document info record and purchase order ITEMS! When I create that link, I can see it in document info record under Object links tab, but when I double click on the number of purchase order nothing happens (I expected that this purchase order will open).
Why is that so?
Why can't I access purchase order from document info record even though the link exists?
The other question is about creating object links to purchase orders, not purchase order items! Is it possible to link document info record with purchase order?
I would appreciate quick answer because we're in the middle of a project and we're stuck with that problem.
Thanks!Hi Karlo,
As you mentioned, object links could be linked to Purchase order items. In customisation you maintain these entries under the node SPRO > Cross Application Components> Document Management--> Control Data --> Define Document Types --> Define Object Links.
There are many links in the standard system (possible entries).
The system automatically determines the screen number (dialog box) where the key data for the object is maintained for document maintenance.
You can check the screens when the screen entry is missing or contains errors by doing the following:
Start the Object Navigator and display the objects for the development class CV.
Expand the function group 130. The structure nodescreens lista all screens that can be used for object links.
You can make an object link to SAP objects that are not shown in the possible entries list. To do this, proceed as follows:
In the standard system, there are already two special screens for the module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140 for the linked SAP object.
You must create two new screens with the same number for the module pools SAPLCV130 and SAPLCV140 .
The processing logic must follow that of screen 1204 in program SAPLVC130.
Create function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = object name)
If the object can be classified, this function module already exists .
Otherwise copy the function module for linking equipment DOCUMENT_CHECK_EQUI and change it as required for the new object.
Hope the above instruction helps in solving your problem,
Sojan

-------------------Thanks Andy,
I have googled activating workflow approvals in SP2013. However the sites I have read, refer to activating a feature that is not there on my server. So not sure how I should be doing this.
I have spent days looking into this. Is there an article somewhere that explains how to do this.
I will read up on people picker, it looks a little more complicated than I think setting up a document approval should be.
I only want the approver to be 1 of about 10 people. Is there any way just to set a simple list to pick the approver from? -
Consume Forecast Option in Sales and Purchase Documents
Hi All,
We have a drop-down 'Consume Forecast' with options as "Yes" and "No" in Marketing Documents - Row Level. Can anyone please explain how it is used and the relevance and impact of this field?
Also, in a sales document, it shows as Y by default whereas, in purchase documents, it shows as N.
Please provide more details on this option and functionality.
Regards
SudattHi Sudatt,
Forecasts are used in conjunction with the MRP wizard to generate your stock requirements (buy or make) based on how much you forecast your business is going to sell.
The option to use Forecasts in MRP is one of the options on the Data Source stage of the MRP wizard.
If you go into the General settings / Stock tab / Planning sub tab. You can tick or untick Consume Forecast.
Lets say you setup a forecast that says you are going to sell 100 items a month and you've already sold 25 items that month. If your MRP run has a data source of forecasts and consume forecast is ticked, it would say you only need to buy or make the remaining 75 from the forecast (the other 25 has been consumed by the amount you've already sold that month so you don't need to buy or make them). If its not ticked, it would add the full 100 to your requirements and it doesn't matter if you've sold 25 of them already or even 99, it will still recommend the full 100.
There should be some more info in the help file and I think there will be an elearning session covering this in more detail.

Statistical Setup (OLI3BW tcode)
Hi all,
Can anyone please explain me what the below fields mean and what should I select to do a Statistical setup ie to do a full update.
Control of Recompilation run
1. Name of Run(New Run)
2. Termination date, Termination time
3. block all documents
4. Extraction structres BW
Document data restriction
1. Archiving Session
2. Purchase Org
3. Purchase document
4. Document date
I am trying to extract data from datasource 2lis_02_hdr using lo-cockpit and I have followed the below steps
1. LBWE transaction - inactivate update, deleted setup tables in application component 02(MM) and also deleted any delta queue in /nrso2
2. Maintain extract structure and datasource
3. Activated the update(Is this necessary to do before replicating the datasources ?)
4. Replicated the datasource in BW
5. Assigned infosource and created a infopackage to load the data to PSA.
6. Set up statistical update(tcode OLI3BW). I am not sure if I have to do this before step 5. I am struck here and unable to understand the fields to do a statistical update
Please help me.
Thanks,
Sabrina.Hi Sabrina,
1. Name of the run - You can put in any name here. It does not matter. You can call it 'RUN1' or 'TEST1' whatever. It is just for you to differentiate between different runs.
2. Termination Date and Time - When it is filling up the setup tables, it might go on for a long time. So you can put in a time beyond which if the set up runs, the system must teminate it. Normally if you know that if it runs for more than 2 hours there is something wrong, you specify a time 2 hours from the current time as the 'safety upper limit'.
3. Block all documents - If you set this, all the records are blocked in the database from changes during the setup run.
4. Not sure...
You can break up your setup run in parts broken down by date ranges or document numbers etc. For eg. set up for all records with dates from Jan to March, do full upload into BW, delete setup tables, run setup again for March to May etc. For this you have the rest of the selections. -
Running Statistical Setup in producition
Dear experts,,
IS that mandatory when ever i run statistical setup need to lock the users or no need, can i go ahead deleted and and running setuptable in production
Regards
RadhaHi Radha,
Consider the application '02' - It is for purchasing.
If there is no delta pointer in rsa7 for all the purchasing datasources. There is no need to lock the user while filling set-up table.
If delta pointer is there for datasources - data duplication will occur,
Any modification in transactions -> R/3 Base table> LBWQ(Extraction Queue)--> RSA7 (Delta Queue).
Set up table is a cluster table that is used to extract data from R/3 tables of same application.
If I start filling set-up table, records from relevant R/3 tables will be updated to set-up table. During that time, If I made any change in any document - the same records will be updated in set-up table as well as in delta queue. Then there is data duplication.

Statistical Internal Order on a Purchase Order
Hi,
We are trying to use a statistical internal order on a purchase order along with a real cost center. But we are unable to get the internal order to show up on the FI documents being posted using goods receipt.
Purchase Order has been created with 'F" (order) as the account category. On the account assignment tab we have maitained an expense cost element & real cost center & statistical internal order.
Internal order master data has been created with just the company code and object class as OCOST.
Please let me know what we are doing incorrectly and how can we have the statistical internal order show up on the FI document.
Thanks,
VenkatHi Venkat,
Statistical Internal order doesn't work if GL account used is not a cost element. You need to make your GL account as cost element. If the respective GL account doen not need to be cost element then you can make it statistical cost element with category 90. In this case it'll not ask for CO object or it'll not create any error or issues.
Hope it'll work.
Thanks,
- Mahak

Errors in Statistical Setup for 2LIS_11 and 2LIS_13
Dear colleagues,
in the process of filling setup tables for SD Sales Orders (11) and SD Billing Documents (13) I have encountered some errors.
In order to investigate the problem further, we have increased the tolerance for the number of faulty documents.
For the billing documents (13) this allows me to consult the log file and to trace all faulty documents. For the sales orders (11) however, we have also increased this tolerance number (1000). The log shows only 1 faulty document, while 1000 errors are tolerated, and the runs fails with this 1 faulty document (job cancelled).
The full log description of the cancelled job is:
Job started
Step 001 started (program RMCVNEUA, variant &0000000000100, user name BExxxx)
Data source 2LIS_11_VAHDR contains data still to be transferred
Start of order processing
Error determining rate: foreign curr. local curr. EUR date 04.05.2006 (doc. 20149127)
Job cancelled
Context:
At this stage I do not want the delta queue to be emptied. That's why the error states that the 2LIS_11_VAHDR datasource still contains data.
My questions are:
- Is this normal behaviour for this setup (or this particular error), or is it likely to be a program error?
- If it is normal behavior, can I "force" this run to log more than 1 error, while 1000 are tolerated?
Kind regards,
PJHi
It could be because of main memory problem... so Restrict your selections and do the statistical setup
by the way how many comp codes you have? restrict with comp codes or doc ranges

Building a multiprovider to join Requisition Number and Purchasing Document
Hi,
I've built a multiprovider that is made up of two ODS's. ODS #1 has the Requisition Number and ODS #2 has the Purchasing Document Number along with other info objects that I need for my query. When I execute my query, the Requistion Number field populates with "#" but all the other fields are fine. I know requistion numbers exist for these PO's but they are not displaying. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
Thank you for your help!Hi,
Check whether the requistion number is filled in the ODS or not. Secondly, check the identification for this by going in the Cube and hitting the "IDENTIFICATION" pushbutton.
Hope this helps..

Recipient in Purchase Documents
Hi
Have a clarification about the Field Recipient (WEMPF)
Understood that controlled through the Account assig cat in Configuration(SPRO).
I do notice in a PR created for a internal order (acc assg cat "F"), Recipient field is populated with a name. But when i checked the internal order via KO03 couldn't find this field. Any possiblity to say Recipient field info is passed over from internal order or other source ?
Is it possible to default get populated in PR when PR created for dependent documents (S.O, Prod Order..etc) or always through only manual entry in purchasing documents?
In generally for "which account *** cat" is more suitable to use this Recipient field with some info filled.
Best Regards
RGhi
Please check your settings in OPS6& plese check with Acct assignment category S

Classic & EC - PO & other purchasing documents number range
Hi SRM Gurus,
Can any one please explain me more precisely about number ranges in SRM & MM.
For classical scenario, we will define number ranges for PO & other purchasing documents in SRM as internal number ranges and in MM as external number ranges.
But in Classical scenario we will create POs (or other Purchasing Documents) in backend system. Suppose If it is to be replicated to SRM as per business need, then how system works. Because we defined in SRM PO number range as internal number range and in backend system as external number range.
Again in Extended Classical scenario, for MRP materials PR or Reservation will be created in backend system with internal number range. But in Plan-Driven scenario they will be replicate to SRM. In this case how we have to choose number ranges.
I am confused. I'll appreciate if any one explains me with step by step or with examples for Classic and Extended classical scenarios
Points will rewarded
Thanks,Hi,
Please find my responses in bold below:
For classical scenario, we will define number ranges for PO & other purchasing documents in SRM as internal number ranges and in MM as external number ranges.
Sundeep: In Classic Scenario, you do not define number ranges for PO internally in SPRO. You would only define number ranges for shopping carts, Confirmation and Invoices if required. Please see description of classic and extended classic scenario below.
External number ranges are defined for PR's and PO's in ECC in a classic scenario environment. (No Internal number range is defined in SRM for these documents in classic scenario and a shopping cart is a PR in SRM)
So, basically in classic scenario, you create only a Shopping cart (Internal Number Range) and all follow on documents such as PR, PO etc are created as external number ranges in ECC, which are a result of a shopping cart from SRM having an internal number range locally.
But in Classical scenario we will create POs (or other Purchasing Documents) in backend system. Suppose If it is to be replicated to SRM as per business need, then how system works. Because we defined in SRM PO number range as internal number range and in backend system as external number range.
Sundeep: This scenario is not possible. In classic scenario you cannot replicate the PO back to the SRM system. Such a scenario is usually accomodated by an Extended Classic Scenario.
Again in Extended Classical scenario, for MRP materials PR or Reservation will be created in backend system with internal number range. But in Plan-Driven scenario they will be replicate to SRM. In this case how we have to choose number ranges.
Sundeep: In a Plan driven procurement the PR is created in SRM as a shopping cart with internal number range. (PR = Shopping cart in SRM). No reservations are created locally in SRM from a PDP. Reservation are only possible in a Classic scenario from SRM -> R/3.
· The classic scenario
The shopping cart is created and approved in SAP Enterprise Buyer. The remainder of the procurement process takes place in the backend ERP system(s) and all other follow-on documents, such the purchase order, goods receipt/service entry sheet and invoice, are located there. With SAP Supplier Self-Services, you have partial supplier involvement for the operational procurement business scenarios when buying materials. There is no support for services.
· The extended classic scenario
The shopping cart is created in SAP Enterprise Buyer. The purchase order and follow-on documents are also created there and then replicated to the backend system. The purchase order in SAP Enterprise Buyer is the leading purchase order and cannot be changed in the backend system. Goods receipts and invoices can be pre-entered in SAP Enterprise Buyer or entered directly in the backend system. With SAP Supplier Self-Services, you have partial supplier involvement for all your operational procurement scenarios. In these scenarios, you have supplier involvement for the purchase order and the purchase order response.
Hope this info helps !!
Pls assign points for usefull answers !!

Purchasing document flow.
Hello friends,
Could anyone plz tell me the link & the document flow between RFQ, purchase requisition, outline agreement, contract, quotation, scheduling agreement, PIR, puchase order?
When Source determination is carried out, what is the priority in which the source is determined?
Thanks,
Cmehra.Dear C Mehra,
PR >Release the PR>RFQ>Quotation>Quotation Comparison>PO>Release the PO>GR>Invoice Verification
MM Process flow:
Process Flow
The typical procurement cycle for a service or material consists of the following phases:
1. Determination of Requirements
Materials requirements are identified either in the user departments or via materials planning and control. (This can cover both MRP proper and the demand-based approach to inventory control. The regular checking of stock levels of materials defined by master records, use of the order-point method, and forecasting on the basis of past usage are important aspects of the latter.) You can enter purchase requisitions yourself, or they can be generated automatically by the materials planning and control system.
2. Source Determination
The Purchasing component helps you identify potential sources of supply based on past orders and existing longer-term purchase agreements. This speeds the process of creating requests for quotation (RFQs), which can be sent to vendors electronically via SAP EDI, if desired.
3. Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations
The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios, allowing you to compare a number of different quotations. Rejection letters can be sent automatically.
4. Purchase Order Processing
The Purchasing system adopts information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. As with purchase requisitions, you can generate Pos yourself or have the system generate them automatically. Vendor scheduling agreements and contracts (in the SAP System, types of longer-term purchase agreement) are also supported.
5. Purchase Order Follow-Up
The system checks the reminder periods you have specified and - if necessary - automatically prints reminders or expediters at the predefined intervals. It also provides you with an up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
6. Goods Receiving and Inventory Management
Goods Receiving personnel can confirm the receipt of goods simply by entering the Po number. By specifying permissible tolerances, buyers can limit over- and underdeliveries of ordered goods.
7. Invoice Verification
The system supports the checking and matching of invoices. The accounts payable clerk is notified of quantity and price variances because the system has access to PO and goods receipt data. This speeds the process of auditing and clearing invoices for payment.
Pur info record is nothing but a master data like thing which will be maintained for different materials to determine the prices etc.It Specifies the number that uniquely identifies a record.
For Example: an info record is based on Plant Vendor and Material
Based on these three the Material Prices will be calculated
for different combinations different values are taken into consideration.
During pricing it brings these values automatically based on this info record.
Use ME11 Tcode to create this record.
