Hello Geeks,
We have successfully Migrated to Office 365.
But still have Exchange 2007 & 2010 servers on-premises.
Would like to know the procedure to Uninstall them and also would like to manage them from AD.
So looking forward for information on:
1. Cutover process,
2. Dependencies need to be checked 
3. crusial things need to be taken care of.

Hi,
After you’ve verified that all email is being routed directly to the Exchange Online mailboxes, have completed the migration, you can uninstall Exchange from your servers and remove your on-premises Exchange organization.

    When I use the synchronous step, I see errors in the process designer saying
    Message to be sent and synchronous interface are not of the same type.  This happens for both request and response message.

    I think the Problem is with the INTERFACE Determination.
    You need a BPM for the above scenario, but not a Sync/Asynch Brindge
    In BPM
    Step 1 : Receive from File 1
    Step 2 : Do Transformation from File1 format to J2EE Request Format
    Step 3 :  Send a Synchronous send Step to J2EE
    Step 4 :  Transform the HTTP response to your File2 Format Response
    Step 5 :   Send the Response to File2
    Interface Determination
    File1 to j2ee Request
    J2ee Request/Response To  J2EE Request/Response
    J2ee Response to file 2
    Please check your Interface determination very closely.

    I'm new to SAP BI, can anyone pleas explain me why we need to use Process Chains in a simpler way?

    Hi Vandana,
    1.Go to RSPC tcode ->(F5) create ->It will ask for process chain name ->then it will ask for start variant
    2.If you have no start variant pre created then create new one (at right side there will be a paper symbol for that ).Every process chain has one and only one start variant that is to set scheduling option etc .When you will create a new one you will go to a screen where you have scheduling option .
    3.a) Direct scheduling ->to start execution immediately 
       b) start using meta chain or API ->chains which run at specific time (day ,month etc or after some specific event ). save your settings and go back .click check symbol for final creation of start variant.
    4.Now at left screen you  have chain symbol (process types) .when you will click on that you will have all the process lists .
    5.You can select process as per your requirement and connect different processes together.Each process is a different event (ex : load DTP ,Infopackage ,ABAP program ,AND ,Interrupt ).You cna do detailed study for that .
    6.After adding all processes activate (ctrl+F3) and execute .
    7.After that you can check logs (shift+F1) .you can see todays log ,yesterday and today etc .For details of every process execution right click on process and see display variant .
    Hope this will be helpful for basic startup.you can further read thoroughly on each process .

    I recently started reading MDM. I am clear with MDM-Console concepts. But I have problem with MDM Data Manager. I am confused with data entries in qualified tables, work flows(using microsoft studio), Matching mode- rules(High treshold, low threshold) etc.. I read material posted in forums- but still I am not clear.
    I need a step-by-step process for data entries with *examples*. A good example which covers all Data Manager concepts. PDF's with screen shots, videos any thing would help.

    MDM 5.5 has 4 MDM clients to perform 4 main functionality on the MDM master records.
    - Console- This is where all the Administrative work is performed
    - Data Manager- This is where the actual maintainence work is done on the master data like consolidation deduplication etc.
    - Import manager- Thsi is from where the source matser records are taken into MDM repoistory
    - Syndicator- This is from where teh consolidated master data is send back to the target systems.
    MDM Data Manager is the heart of MDM
    The activities that can be performed in the MDM Data manager are:
    - Data Consolidation
    - Data Validation
    - Data Deduplication
    - Data Assignment
    - Data Governanace
    etc......
    Qualified Table:
    - Qulaified tables are used to store relational records where one field value is determining the other field or fields value.
    - Qualified tables are maintained in Console and can be viewed in Data Manager
    - Qualified Table are viewed under a separate section in Data Manager in the right hand side.
    - Qualified table has Non qualifiers and Qualifiers.
    - Non qualifiers can be seen in the  Qualified table and in the linking Qualified field
    - Qualifiers can be seen separately under the Qualified section in the data manager

    Workflows
    - Workflows are designed in MDM for Governanace
    - You can create the MDM workflow using the MS Visio 2003 stencils in the MDM Data manager in the record mode under the workflow table
    - The saved workflow in DM can then be executed either mnaully or automatically based on teh trigger actions
    - The trigger action for teh MDM wf are record Add,Update,Import,Manual

    Matching Mode
    - This mode is exclusively for Master data deduplication
    - We need to create Rules,Strategies,Transformation in MDM data manager in teh record mode
    - Then you need to run these strategies on the selected records
    - Based on your score and threshold set in the strategy MDM will identify duplicate records
    - This score will be seen in teh Matching mode
    - Colour coding is used along with scores to find out dupliactes
    - Green - 100%dupliacte Blue- 50?% Red- No duplicate

    it'd be of great help if you could give me a step by step process of replication.
    There is no step-by-step article/guide of replication process, replication between AD LDS instances of the same configuration set is an automatic process.
    All we need to make sure is to create a replica of the existing instance, and there is no network/security obstacle preventing the replication.
    Please note that we need to install AD LDS from Server manager on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2.

    I have an old MBP which crashed recently (due to some reason which is not important here). The hard disk survived though. I have ordered a new MBP. Now I have put the hard disk in a USB case. And I understand that I can plug in the hard disk to my new MBP and migrate the content to the new MBP. But I'd
    like to understand what & how exactly the content is migrated. I want to migrate the content selectively. Is there any step by step guide providing the details?

    Migration Assistant does not perform selective file transfers. You can restore your entire Home folder, third-party applications and support files, and system settings. If you wish a more selective process, then you would need to restore your files manually or you can use a third-party backup utility such as Carbon Copy Cloner 3.5.1.

    DSO: Is having Over write functionality and used to store the detailed level of information, Two Dimensional Structure.
    A DataStore object serves as a storage location for consolidated and cleansed transaction data or master data on a document (atomic) level.
    This data can be evaluated using a BEx query.
    A DataStore object contains key fields (such as document number, document item) and data fields that, in addition to key figures, can also contain character fields (such as order status, customer). The data from a DataStore object can be updated with a delta update into InfoCubes (standard) and/or other DataStore objects or master data tables (attributes or texts) in the same system or across different systems.
    Unlike multidimensional data storage using InfoCubes, the data in DataStore objects is stored in transparent, flat database tables. The system does not create fact tables or dimension tables.
    Cube: Is additive functionality and Multidimensional Structure.
    An InfoCube describes (from an analysis point of view) a self-contained dataset, for example, for a business-orientated area. You analyze this dataset in a BEx query.         
    An InfoCube is a set of relational tables arranged according to the star schema: A large fact table in the middle surrounded by several dimension tables.
    Use
    InfoCubes are filled with data from one or more InfoSources or other InfoProviders. They are available as InfoProviders for analysis and reporting purposes.

    I`m fwdg the steps of QM cycle in Procurement and Source Inspection
    Scenario: You need to inspect raw material received from the vendor at plant premises.
    Basic Settings needed in IMG (PRIOR) : Control Key for QM in Prcmt
                                                       Certificate Type
    Master data needed : Material Master (ROH)
                           Master Insp. Characteristics
                           Inspection Plan
    Steps :
    1.     MM01 : Create Raw material
    In QM View in Material Master :
    Give Certificate type. QM Control Key and ensure QM Proc. active
    Click Insp. setup
    Assign insp. Type 01 – GR Insp. for order, by selecting new insp. Types.
                                          Ensure it as active plan, by ticking the active indicator.
    2.     Goto QS21 , create Master Inspection characteristic
    Give Status as Released and Complete copy model for mic
    Select Quantitative characteristics and tick the relevant indicators i.e., in this case Lower specific limit, Upper specific limit and Check Target value.
    Press Enter
    It`ll prompt you for entering lower, upper and target values for the MIC ,
    Enter the values.
    SAVE
    3.     GOTO QP01 – Create Inspection Plan  with status – Released (4) and Usage – GR (5)
    -     Click operations, Create Insp. Operation and give the control key as QM01
                           -  Select the inspection operation and click on the insp. Characteristics,                 
                               assign the MIC you`ve created and press enter. All the characteristics
                               will be copied.
    SAVE
    4.     GOTO ME21N – Create Purchase Order
    5.     GOTO ME28 or ME29N – Release Purchase Order with both 1 & 2 Status
    6.     GOTO MIGO – GR for Purchase order
                               Check in where tab : give storage location
                               Check in Purch.order details tab : Give certificate enclosed status: YES
                                   Ensure item ok indicator is ticked
                                   Post (SAVE)
    Now the inspection lot gets generated as you post the goods.
    7.     GOTO MMBE – You can observe that the stock is moved to Insp. Stock  automatically
    8.     GOTO QA32 – Inspection lot selection
    Give Material and Plant Execute
    Select your inspection lot line, and select result recording.
    {Incase, if it is not allowed to record results, GOTO QE02, give insp. Lot and select Change Insp. Lot Icon, give the relevant task list usage and press TASK LIST button in the Inspection specification Tab and then SAVE}
    Give inspected quantity and target value that is checked
    SAVE
    You can find in QA32, that the status is changed to INSPECTED
    Now again select the insp. Lot in QA32 and goto Usage decision,
    Give UD as A – for accept and Quantity to be moved to unrestricted use stock
    SAVE
    REFRESH
    9.     GOTO MMBE
    Now you can observe that the stock has moved to Unrestricted use

    Please follow the below steps to processed the recovery :-
    1-  Shut down the machine and connect the charger
    2- Power on the machine and hold the blue ThingVantage button tell you can see a loading massage says that Windows is loading file .
    3- Then you will find another massage to confirm the recovery process so you just need to hit Yes
    4- Next step select System recovery and the recovery will start loading

    I am running Windows Server 2008 standard, with exchange 2007 SP2 on it.
    We have 800 mailbox in total
    Our domain controllers are
     Win2012 R2 and I would like to upgrade to Exchange 2013 on Windows server 2012 R2.
    I am running a VM, on VMware environment, so my Windows 2012 R2 is a VM.
    Is there a website or document that explains in detail, step by step how to upgrade from 2007 to 2013.
    I currently only have 1 exchange server 2007, with all the roles on the one server.  I would like to keep that same as
    well with exchange 2013.

    There are a couple of methods for using more than one iPod on a single computer. Have a look at the article linked below. Method one is to have two Mac or Windows user accounts which by definition would give you two completely separate libraries. Method two as Chris has already described above is to set your preferences so each iPod is updated with only certain playlists within one library.
