The javacard API is for developing applets on card. Java 6 is for developing clients off-card.
yes u can use any java IDEs like netbeans or jcreator. But you will have to select the libraries within the downloaded java card kit folder for ur IDE in order to compile successfully.
try reading up the documentation and run the samples in the java card kit. thats a good place to start.

Hey Molugu,
you shouldn't have to install the client certificates on KeyStorage Service, for receiver adapters. The server's public certificate is sent just in the SSL handshaking. What you should have is the certificate authorization tree in your Trusted ACs Service (if the issuer of your client's certificate is not already there).
You need to install client certificates in sender adapters, when your client uses authentication through certificate. Then you need to install that authentication certificate for the authorized users.

Step by Step to access custom Java API in Application Service.

I have a situation to access the custom Java API in CAF. The Java API fetches the data from MDM. I need to get the data from that API and and use it in the CAF Application Service layer? Is there a way to access the JAVA API in the Application Service Layer? If so please do help me out. Step by Step solution would be appreciated.

Hi Ketan,
You can do it in two ways.
1. You can create your own custom class in the ejbmodule which you can see in the Navigator view.
2. You can have a ear having the custom class. This ear will be in a separate DC and CAF will have dependency to it.

Step step description here is not possible.
It always advisable to go to service.sap.com/instguides.
slow and steady wins the race.
good luck.
It's advisable to have quad processor with atleast 8GB ram.
If it's a nw04s then at a shot you can select AS ABAP. JAVA, EP, PI(XI) and proceed.

I have installed EP SP9 on my laptop.
I go through some blog and some discussion but I am not able to find below files mentioned in those blog.

4. Install and Configure OC4J
4.1 Change Directory
4.1.1 Open command prompt (cmd.exe)

As I wrote earlier, WS_TEST is my user into which I load JAX-RPC client. Note that, if you load JAX-RPC client into user another than SYS, you have NOT to use -s -grant public option (wassam wrote about this too). Another thing is that I (finally) didn't load OC4J. To consume WebService I use utl_dbws.invoke(call_Handle CALL, request SYS.XMLTYPE) function.

Did I make a good template for the beggining of a chat server? I have a feeling this isn't gonna work because of where the client variable is.
2) How and what is the best way to input a string into the command prompt? What's the best I/O to use for Strings AND Variables(short,int,long) so the Server could communicate similar to a MUD, where you can chat AND have a RPG kinda game(ints would be for health, damage, ect...)

out is gonna be easiest...
after you get the InputStream AND the OutputStream you need to have some way of getting information from you(the user) to "out".. try something like
