Stock Audit Report vs Balance Sheet

I am having problems matching the balance sheet to our stock. I presume that the stock audit report is the best report for evaluating our stock but this does not match our balance sheet.
The balance sheet stock looks at 3 accounts, Finished Product, Work in Progress and Raw Materials. I set the audit report to only look at these accounts and to read all groups. I also ticked 'display OB for items/accounts with no transactions'.
This still does not match. The only thing I can surmise is that something has gone wrong or someone has posted something in these accounts to throw it out of balance but if so then I do not know how to find the problem as this could be going back years.
Is there a better stock report / query to use or is there some sort of query that can flag up any obvious errors?
Thanks for your help in anticipation.

  • AP Credit Memo and Good return, creates differences between TB and Stock Audit Report

    Hello Experts,
Did any one has ever faced an issue, whereby AP Credit Memo and Good Return creates discrepancy between journal entry and the stock audit report?
    Here is the scenario:
    AP Credit Memo
    Description
    Quantity
    Unit Price
    Total
    Item A
                    30
                3,400
       102,000
    Journal Entry :
    Debit
    Business Partner
         105,000
            Credit
                          Stock
         105,000
    Inventory Audit Report
    Description
    Quantity
    Cost
    Transaction Amount
    Item A
                            30
                         3,500
                                                    105,000
    Journal Entry :
    Debit
    Business Partner
         105,000
            Credit
                          Stock
            105,000
The difference is actually due to the moving average, but the strange part is why the difference is not posted in the journal entry, in the Price different account?
This makes the stock account amount to be different from the Trial Balance and the Stock Audit Report.
And this is applied also on the Good Return transaction.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Best Regards
    Cedric Kayitare

    Hi Cedric,
Price & Item cost are different.
while making goods return , Direct AP Credit Note, Sales Delivery, Direct AR Invoice, stock is going outside.
In these transactions Journal entry will happen for Item cost and not Item sales or Purchase price.
Please enable item cost field in line level and check whether above formulae is matching with Item, cost field.
Then what is the importance of price in these documents??
Price is the agreed selling or purchase price for trading with Customer and supplier.
    In your example
You are returning back material worth 105000(as per moving average price), but supplier is supposed to give only you 102,000.
    Hope you understand

    Alberto,
Other currency information is available at the document row level and in the Journal Entries.
What you could do is join the OINM with the associated document and let the foriegn currency value.
    OINM.TransType = ObjType (marketing document)
    OINM.BASE_REF .......Document Ref
    OINM.DocLineNum ......LineNum

  • Report Painter - Balance Sheet Accumulated Balance not shown

    Dear Fellow SAP Gurus,
I'm trying to create a Balance Sheet Report using Report Painter.
The Library that I'm using is 8A2, GLCPT Table and 8A Ledger.
I have defined the General Data Selection, Characteristics, Key Figures and assigned the report to a Report Group. Making the Fiscal Year, Period and Company Code a "variable" option. Record Type and Version set at 0.
The report runs properly from Period 0 to 12 but the problem is it extracted the yearly movements (P&L) and not the accumulated balances. I have tried all sorts of combination for Fiscal Year (tried the year before system implementation) but still couldn't get it.
I would be very much appreciate it if someone would kindly shed some light on this.
    Many thanks.
    Regards,
    CH

  • Crystal report for Balance sheet from ECC6.0 directly

然后再创建2个公式字段分配给报表中不同位置(if  period=1 then 1月发生额; period=2 then 1月发生额2月发生额 ; if period=3 then 1月发生额2月+3月).
    1001                     10

  • Mismatch Between Audit Report And Trial Balance

    Hi all,
There is a difference between Inventory Audit Report And Trial Balance figure.
how to match both the things ?
    Thanking you
    Malhaar

    Hi,
If there is no manual transation then you can then check the following page:
    [Inventory valuation Checkup|https://websmp204.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001515052008]
There is a script in the link which provides you the determination of the database or the system which could present inconsistent inventory values between stock audit reports and general ledger stock accounts, resulting in potential asset valuation discrepancies.
Check the link. You would be needing S-user ID and password for it.
Check Note No. : 1563308 as well.

  • Aging Report does not match Balance Sheet Receivables/Payables Account

    Hi experts,
I am requesting your help to find out why our customer receivables/vendor payables aging reports total does not match our balance sheet accounts receivable/ accounts payable account for the same period.
    I would expect
Customer Receivables Aging Report Total = Balance Sheet Accounts Receivables Account
Vendor Aging Report Total = Balance Sheet  Accounts Payables Account
    Thank you.
    Jane

When you run the report with an ending/aging date in the past (like the end of last month), if you do not display BP's with zero balances, it will leave out BP's who have a zero balance AT THE TIME YOU RUN THE REPORT.  Some of them may have had a non-zero balance at the end of the month, but they will be left off anyway.  So if a customer owed money on the last day of the month and he paid it on the first of the next month, his balance will not be shown on the report if you run it even one day later.
I feel this is a design defect in the report, but it is the system behavior.

  • PCA Balance Sheet Planning and reporting

    Hi All
After entering planning data for liabilities in PCA, the data does not show in the interactive report for balance sheet accounts. But if you drill down the data is there. Does anyone know why the total does not appear in the summarised position before drilling down? This is specifically for Liabilities.

    Hi Murali
I checked the Totals Records and Line Items using tx code KEE0. The system reports that they are in sync. I then used a different planning layout to enter the data and it is now populating the report at summary level. I checked the initial layout I used. It was a custom-made layout copied from a standard one and amended to allow the users to enter the data per period. The lead column is the account number which has the hierarchy and variable parameters set to on. The other columns are the individual periods from 1 to 12. It is also used to upload planning data from Excel. What could be wrong with the planning layout?

  • Zero Quantity, Negative Stock Value in Inventory Audit Report

    Hi all,
The Cumulative Quantity of an item has become zero but the Cumulative Value in the Inventory Audit Report displayed as -150. How to adjust it to make it zero?
    Kindly advise, thanks.
    Regards,
    Xavier

    HI Xavier,
Mentioned below is teh detail from the note mentioned by J
    Symptom
In the Stock Audit Report, generated for a specific warehouse, a value is shown in the 'Cumulative Value' column even if the item does not have quantity.
    Cause
    Consulting
    Solution
The 'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' setting in the Administration -> System Initialisation -> Company Details -> Basic Initialisation tab determines the information displayed in the Stock Audit Report.
'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' is selected.
If this option is selected, each warehouse defined in SAP Business One maintains its own cost. This warehouse cost is calculated whenever there is a movement of the item in the specific warehouse.
When stocks are issued, the item cost will be from the specific warehouse where the stocks are issued.
The Stock Audit Report should be viewed per warehouse in order to determine the accurate valuation of the item. The option 'Group by Warehouse' can be used for this purpose.
'Manage Item Cost per Warehouse' is NOT selected.
If this option is not selected, a single cost is maintained for the item per company. This cost is determined by the movement of the item within all warehouses.
When stocks are issued, the single item cost determined on the company level will be used.
When the item cost is calculated per company, a stock value may remain in a warehouse which has zero quantity. However, since the cost is managed across all warehouses this is ok, as long as there is an overall positive quantity.
If the valuation of the item is required, the Stock Audit Report should be run for all warehouses and not for a specific warehouse. If the report is viewed per warehouse it may not provide an accurate cumulative value of the stock.
If only the quantity in a specific warehouse needs to be checked then the report can be run per warehouse.
    Example:
    1. Create new item with standard price 10 in all warehouses, since price is managed per company and not per warehouse.
    2. Create goods receipt for this item to two warehouses - quantity 10 to warehouse 01 and quantity 10 to warehouse 02.
    3. Create material revaluation, select warehouse 01 (only one warehouse can be selected for posting purposes), and change the price from 10 to 5.
    4. Create goods issue from warehouse 02 with issued quantity 10.
    5. Run the audit report for this item and:
    a) for all warehouses -> cumulative quantity is 10, cumulative value is 50;
    b) for warehouse 01 -> cumulative quantity is 10, cumulative value is 0;
    c) for warehouse 02 -> cumulative quantity is 0, cumulative value is 50.

  • Financial Template Reports (Balance Sheet) - Auto appearance of running profit figure

    Dear Experts,
I am working on SAP 9 Business One.
I have prepared a Customized Balance Sheet through the Financial Report Templates for presentation purposes. But when I run the balance sheet using the Financial Template Report, the balance sheet doesn't match.
I have found out the reason i.e. The running profit figure doesn't appear automatically.
Someone please guide me on how to bring the profit figure automatically in the Balance Sheet, prepared through the Financial Report Templates, without running a period end closing as it shows in the balance sheet run with the 'Chart of Accounts'.
    Regards,
    Dharmik Kara

    hi Prasadbabu,
Try it out this way. Create a new line called "Total Sales" below export sales and local sales and Subtotal" check it. In case, you cannot see the active accounts defined for export sales and local sales, then create dummy titles as parent levels and create the "Total Sales" at the same level as the export sales and local sales. In the subtotal formula, you can select the two sales accounts. After the total sales sub-total, you can go ahead with the other sales accounts.

  • ***Balance sheet Report book got Disappeared from HFM Explorer***

    Hi All,
Actually one of my user is able to open the balance sheet report book from hfm workspace and run the report till last month.
No one has removed any of his access. He is able to see all the other reports except Balance sheet report this month. As this is a month end for us it is very very important for me to provide the report book.Even i refreshed his securities but no use.
I am really battling with my head with no result.
Am really thankful to every one please do reply me the solution.
    Regards,
    Vinod

Can others see this report? If so, is this the same user that is having problems with smartview?
    https://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=10912726
Do you use groups in ADF or within HFM? has any of his groups changed in provisioning?
Do you connect to more than one AD in Shared services? If so HFM looks for IDs in each Directory in the order they are listed. If someone entered the same user ID in another domain, HFM will use that one instead of Alex's true ID and have wrong provisioning.
Is the balance sheet report in the list and he cannot open it? Then check to see if he has the preview POV on, perhaps the POV is defaulting to an invalid setting.
If the balance sheet is missing from the list of reports, then check the permissions for that report.

  • PLD, Balance sheet report exclude accounts with zero / no balances

Using the checkbox 'account with balance of zero' seems to have no effect at all.

In Balance Sheet Print layout Desinger(PLD) Select Report Vertical Balance Sheet-Create a new template using
APA vertical Balance Sheet,Create a new formula field for ex.
    Field_073 != 0.00 and detick visible &
    Select Field_068 with system variable-264 & Link to Field_073.
It will eliminate zero values in Balance sheet print report.
