Stocking Level- Two levels below the finished product

Hi all,
I want to maintain stock two levels below the finished product in MTO environment...How can i acheive this in SAP...Also i want to maintain forecast one level below the finished product..Please give ur expert opinion in order to achieve this requirement..
Actually scenario is Packed liquid is my finished material and forecast is given at liquid level and both these levels are not produced until a sales order arrives...i am taking liquid as SFG, please suggest otherwise if i m not moving in right direction.
Thx
Shah

Hi,
Kindly follow the steps mentioned below, I hope it addresses your query.
Warm regards,
Umesh
Process Scenario & the BOM structure
Level 1: ZURP_PKG_LIQUID <Sales order received here>
Level 2: ZURP_LIQUID        < Forecast done here to plan lower level materials, this material is planned on the receipt of sale order at higher level>
Level 3: ZURP_RM_LIQUID  < Procured/Produced and kept in inventory>
Step no 1: OMP0  use Requirement class u2018103u2019 or create a copy u2018Z70u2019
Step no 2: OMP1  create a new requirement type u2018Z70u2019 and assign the Requirement class u2018103u2019 to it.
Step no 3: SPRO  define a new strategy u20187Tu2019 and assign requirement type u2018Z70u2019
Step 4: SPRO  create strategy group u20187Tu2019 & assign the strategy u20187Tu2019
Step 5: MM02 u2013 MRP3 view  Assign this strategy to material code ZURP_LIQUID at which forecast is done
In MRP4 view leave the individual/collective indicator blank
For Material ZURP_PKG_LIQUID  maintain strategy group as u201820u2019
For Material ZURP_RM_LIQUID  maintain strategy group as u201810u2019 & individual/collective indicator as u20182u2019
Step 6: MD61  Create Planned independent requirement for ZURP_LIQUID
Step 7: MD02  Execute MRP for ZURP_LIQUID
Note: Planned orders for ZURP_LIQUID are created, but they cannot be converted into Production order, but this triggers requirement down the line triggering procurement/production for material ZURP_RM_LIQUID
Step 8: VA01  Create a sales order for ZURP_PKG_LIQUID
            MD02  Execute MRP for ZURP_PKG_LIQUID
Note: The MRP run triggers the procurement proposal for ZURP_LIQUID, which can be converted to production order & simultaneously reduces the created PIR

    Hi ,
I have modified the standard look and feel of the portal . We have our own masthead now and a custom footer as well . The problem is the top level navigation is appearing below the content area . I presume that there is a possibility of arranging the ordering of all the different objects in a frameworkpage . How can this be done ? Please help .

  • Average Costs of the Finished Products

    Hi,
We are using the process order concept and we are calculating the costs of each FG seperately and our finished products are different kind of sizes and types.
And the requirement here is that if we want to calculate the average cost of the two FG how we can do this ?
    For Example
Product 1 is manufactured and the arrived cost is $ 30
Porduct 2 is manufactured and the arrived cost is $ 10
And if we use the ratios of 60 and 40 and we determine the avergae cost of (3060%+1040%)/100= $ 22
And we adjust this $ 22 with Product cost of A and Product B.

    What is FG?

  • HT5067 When using a Keynote Widget with iBooks Author, do the transitions and builds between Keynote slides appear in the iPad preview version of the iBook, or only in the finished product?

I'm using the Keynote Widget in iBooks Author, and the Keynote presentation uses the Magic move transition between slides.  When I preview the iBook on a new iPad, the Magic move transitions don't show up (i.e. the transition from slide to slide is standard, not Magic move).  Any suggestions?

Hyperlinks and magic move should work but don't. However I  found the following as a workaround for me. Use three slides instead of two to generate the magic move effect in Keynote presentations on Ibooks using hyperlinks only. As an example
Supose an object on  slide 1 was set as a hyperlink to go to a slide which then had a magic move effect to a third slide. For some reason it works on the mac, but not on ibooks. However you can create the magic move transition effect by simply adding a "dummy slide" as follows.  Suppose an object on slide 1 had an object which would hyperlink to slide 4. Duplicate Slide 4, and make the duplicate slide 5. Then set Slide 4  to automatically transition (with no effect) to the next slide (i.e. slide 5) after .5 seconds. Have Slide 5 set to transition to Slide 6 using magic move automatically after .5 seconds. By having the hyperlink point to slide 4 the magic move effect from Slide 5 to Slide 6 works fine (with a brief 1 sec delay). IF the hyperlink pointed directly to Slide 5, the magic move transition to slide 6 would not work.
For some reason having an extra slide makes magic move work even though it is not needed on the mac. I hpe this helps.

  • I burned a slideshow with iDVD, professional quality selected, 16:9 aspect ratio selected.  The quality of the finished product is much below that seen on my computer.  I have watched slideshows made by other imac users which look great.

I have burned a slideshow from an iphoto album through iDVD, with "pro quality and 16:9 aspect ratio" selected on a double layer dvd.  When viewed, the picture quality is much inferior to that of the photos on my computer.  I have viewed slideshows made others with mac software and the pictures are much better.  My tv is HD 1080 wide screen and disc player is new.  What am I missing?

That's more an iDVD problem and you should ask your question there: iDVD.
The resident expert there, Bengt Wärleby, will be able to give you suggestions on how to proceed.  He's very, very good.

  • What to make the finished product?

    Hello
I am shooting in HD and need to submit some of my films as previews on websites. When all the edit is finished, what would be the best file type to use for web viewing. I want to keep the quality of the video as high as possible without making the file too large - it doesnt matter if the video takes a few minutes to load. . .
    So, any ideas?
    Thanks

    Hi(Bonjour)!
This forum is full of topics about compression and delivery format.
There are many ways and paths to follow. It's always a good idea to test by yourself what does fit your specific needs.
One simple workaround is to use export with quicktime conversion for iPod...
You'll get a relatively small and not so bad quality in H.264 format. Just change the extension for ".mov" instead of M4V. Beware of frame size, there is a difference between iTune 7 and 6, to accomodate the video for 5th generation iPod rev. october 2006, see
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=3148749&#3148749.
Look at Ken Stone FCP web site: it's a rich informations source, like:

  • The top two inches of my firefox screen seem non responsive i.e. unable to click on links or grab the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen if it is within the top two inches below the tool bar

It seems that for whatever reason, I am unable to click on any links, pictures, or anything really within the top two inches of my internet browser screen, it seems like a "dead zone'' of sorts.
the tool bar is fine, and from about two inches down on the screen everything is responsive.

The Yahoo! Toolbar extension has been reported to cause this issue.

  • Previewed book on iPad2 appears smaller on my bookshelf beside the others that I actually purchased. Is this anomaly corrected when a book is actually published, or is there a way of sizing the finished product while building it in iBooks Author?

Previewed book on iPad2 appears smaller on my Bookshelf beside the others that I actually purchased. Is this anomaly corrected when a book is actually published, or is there a way of normalizing the book's final dimensions for the Bookshelf while building it in iBooks Author?

When you submit to the store via iTunes Producer, you'll have a chance to choose a cover.

  • I noticed that when I develop in light room 5 that the raw files are larger and the finished product is 80 percent smaller

anybody have an idea why or is that the norm
my raw file was 11,2 and my JPEG was 1.26

The RAW files are the same size as the camera made them. Lightroom doesn't change the file size or image size.
The JPG size depends on a dozen or so things, some of which you can control and some of which you cannot control, but almost always the JPG is smaller than the corresponding RAW.. I see no particular problem with a JPG that is smaller, depending on the export options you chose, and I have never yet seen Lightroom produce an incorrect size JPG
By the way, normally numbers have units, you did not mention any units, so I really can't comment further without knowing the units for the numbers you show

Usually, it depends on your business requirements.
Bare minimum fields will be MARA-MATNR, MARD-LGORT (storage location), MARC-WERKS (plant), MARA-NETPR (Price), qty, shel-life expiration date, batch number, vendor, etc.

  • Reuse Finished product

    Hi all,
    My scenerio is mentioned below.
    1. We send the finished product to FPS(Finished product Stores) were delivery is created and the products are send to the customers.
    2. If the customer does not want the product due to some reasons, No delivery is created and these Finished products gets accumulated in the FPS.
    3. After some period there may be requirement for the product from the customer with little modification. The FPS issues the material to the Production location. After the modification the finished product is send to the FPS and delivery is made to the customer.
How to map the above scenerio in SAP ?
    Regards
    Afzal

    Hi
    You can try this
Have one more level of fert ( fert1)  with different name and link this fert as component, without routing for this higher level fert1. Create only ref operation set.
Create manual Production order for that higher level fert1 and include reference oprn set while creating order. Then do GI ( existing finished fert ) do order confirmation for the new order then do GR for the new production order. the stock will go to new fert1. Make deleivery from the new fert1.

  • Subcontracting with the finished material to be given to the customer

    dear all,
I want to implement a scenario, in which i want do subcontracting. the material shall not be given by me but shall be ordered to another vendor who shall give it to the subcontractor, the subcontractor shall give the finished product to the customer. I would like to do the goods receipt and receive the invoice from the sub contractor.
Please tell the procedure if any one has implemented this scenario.
    regards

    Hi,
    1) For bought out material (to be given by your vendor to Sub-Contractor) - Preferably this PO should be generated from MRP generated PR (requirement coming from the sale order). You can change the delivery address (in Delivery Address tab at Item Details level). In the bought out material PO, you can maintain the vendor number (of your sub-contractor) & put tick at SC Vend. This will change the delivery address to the sub-contractors address. When you post GRN the material stock will be shown as material provided to sub-contractor.
    2) For Sub-Contractor Vendor (material directly to be given to the customer) - The condition you maintained is of the Third Party Supply. The PR for this PO must be generated from the sale order you booked in the system (for the customer to which you want to deliver the material). Maintain the procurement key as F (External procurement) & special procurement key in the material master as 30 (Sub-Contracting) for this material. Using this PR, raise the sub-contracting PO. When you post the GRN for this material the material will be posted to the material supplied to customer & the account hitting at GRN will be COGS (Cost of Goods Sold). The material provided to the sub-contractor (directly from the bought out material vendor) will be consumed at this GRN.
    Hope this helps.

  • Level by Level Costing

    Hi,
Is it required to do any configuration for setting up level by level costing in product cost planning? I mean any configuration is needed so that the system takes care of costing RMs & purchased parts first, SFG later & finally FG.
    Thanks

In a costing run, that is used for costing mass cost estimates, there is a second step called structure explosion. This provides the level (numeric assignment)  controlling the sequence, in which the materials are costed, in order to provide a cost rollup over multi levels.
The costs are rolled <b>up automatically</b> using the costing levels. No config required.
The system first calculates the costs for the materials with the lowest costing level.
The materials in the next highest costing level (such as semifinished materials) are then costed. The costs for the materials costed first are rolled up and become part of the costs of goods sold in the next highest level.
This process is continued until the costing results of the highest material in the structure (such as the finished product) contain the cost of goods manufactured for every material in the structure.
At each level the costs are assigned to cost components.
In an example of a final material that has two semi-finisied goods and four raw materials, The raw materials are assigned level 1, the semi-finished goods are assigned level 2 and the final assembly is given level 3. When you run the cost estimate, Level 1 is costed first followed by  2 and 3.

  • Avoid posting of Goods receipt of finished product without consumption of components in Subcontracting process

    I have one requirement:
I provide components using movement type 541 to the subcontracting vendor.
Now system will allow the goods receipt of the finished product using movement type 101.
If the components which are to be consumed using movement type 543 O are unchecked when doing goods receipt of the finished product then system will allow to do the goods receipt.
As a result of which the component consumption will not be done.
Subsequent adjustment can be done but,
I want to have a check that without consuming the components the system will throw an error message when tried to do goods receipt using movement 101.
Please advice if it can be done, if so how to achieve it.

    Hi,
It depends on what you want your subcontractor to do with the faulty raw material stock - if you want them to scrap it you can scrap stock from subcontractor stock using movement type 551 and special stock "O" (the system should prompt you to enter the vendor code). If you want it returned for you to scrap it - movement 542 to return it then scrap it from your own stock.
You shouldn't receive an additional 20 of the finished parts - as you only received 80 not 100. Close the purchase order off to close off the balance of 20 remaining.
    Thanks
